A R I Z O N A is a wonderful band last night was my 8th time seeing their show each and every show I have been too was amazing, and last night was no exception every single time I see them they just keep getting better and better every single time. There is so much hard work that goes on in putting on a show and they never shy away from going above and beyond. These guys show was amazing from beginning to end it was full of love, passion, and unbelievable talent. The hour and 15 minute set was unbelievable i recommend if you haven't heard or checked them out do so now you won't be sorry. These guys are so sweet, caring, humble and just a bunch of characters. When you listen to their music you will catch yourself bopping along and singing or instantly put in a better mood the visuals in the show made me emotional but it was tears of joy and pride to see how far they have come out of a project that was started as a what the hell why not project when they were burned out on being producers they gave it a shot and blew up to what they are today these guys deserve so much more credit than they get these guys have so much to offer i encourage everyone to at least give them a chance.

Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago bring 2024 tour to Phoenix. How to get tickets

Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago will bring their co-headlining Heart & Soul Tour to Footprint Center in Phoenix on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024.

The Live Nation-produced, 30-city tour will feature epic sets from each act, culminating in an encore performance with both bands on stage together.

In making a case for Chicago's 2016 induction on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame website, Rob Bowman writes ," Chicago stands as one of America’s most successful rock bands of any epoch in terms of both sales and longevity," going on to note, "The statistics are simply staggering."

Fellow Hall of Famers Earth, Wind & Fire, who were enshrined in 2000 , took funk to the masses with such consistency and soul that "The Rolling Stone Album Guide" suggests, "It could be argued that 'The Best of Earth, Wind & Fire' portrays the best singles band of the '70s."

Earth, Wind & Fire songs you can expect to hear in Phoenix

Earth, Wind & Fire sent eight classic singles to the top of Billboard's R&B charts, from "Shining Star" (the breakthrough hit that also topped the Hot 100) to "Sing a Song," "Getaway," "Serpentine Fire," "Got to Get You Into My Life," "September," "Let's Groove" and "System of Survival."

Their recent shows at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas featured seven of those eight songs. "System of Survival" hasn't made the setlist since 2004.

Other hits they've been dusting off lately include "Kalimba Story," "Devotion," "That's the Way of the World," "Can't Hide Love," "Fantasy," "Boogie Wonderland" and "After the Love Has Gone."

Chicago’s summer tour is bound for Phoenix in August

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — Classic rock band Chicago is making their way to Phoenix’s Celebrity Theatre on Aug. 18.

Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Feb. 14, around 10 a.m., just in time for Valentine’s Day! The legendary band has been the highest charting musical act in Billboard Magazine’s Top 125 Artists of All Time , landing at No. 10. They recently released their 38th studio album in 2022 called “Born for This Moment.”

The album features 14 all-new songs and was released in the same year as Gravitas Ventures’ “The Last Band on Stage” documentary about the group. On March 14, 2020, Chicago was the last band playing in the U.S. while pandemic lockdowns started. “Chicago has faced many obstacles in lasting 55 years but the pandemic was possibly their greatest challenge. I’m excited for people to see the story of how they got back to the stage to continue performing,” said director Peter Curtis Pardini.

In 2016, the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with members Robert Lamm and James Pankow being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017. In 2020, the International Trombone Association presented its 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award to Pankow.

Brian Wilson and Chicago are teaming up for an extensive tour of U.S. amphitheaters next summer.

The run kicks off June 7 at the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona, and wraps July 26 at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan. Tickets will go on sale Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. local time via Wilson and Chicago’s websites.

Wilson has never toured with Chicago as a solo act, but the Beach Boys and Chicago often played on the same bills in the Seventies. They hit the road together in 1975 on the “Beachago” tour where members of Chicago often joined the Beach Boys on “God Only Knows,” “Darlin'” and “Surf’s Up.” At the end of the show, they mashed the bands together for songs like “Saturday In The Park,” “California Girls,” “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day,” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”

The current lineup of Chicago is lead by founding keyboardist/singer Robert Lamm. Original horn players Lee Loughnane and James Pankow remain active in the group, but lead singer Pete Cetera left the band in 1985 and didn’t even rejoin when they entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. He retired as a solo artist in 2019, and Neil Donell now covers his parts in Chicago.

Brian Wilson will be joined on the tour by Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin. They toured American theaters earlier this year with a set that mixed Beach Boys hits like “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” and “Good Vibrations” with fan favorites like “Wake the World,” “Add Some Music to Your Day,” “Long Promised Road,” and “Feel Flows.”

2024 Summer Gods Tour with Yellowcard & A R I Z O N A

Third Eye Blind is excited to announce the fourth edition of the Summer Gods Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will begin June 8 in Spokane through August 3 in Houston, with special guests Yellowcard and A R I Z O N A. 

Tickets will be available for presale Tuesday, January 9 with Citi, and additional presales throughout the week. General onsale will begin Friday, January 12 at 10:00am local time at ThirdEyeBlind.com .  

On Wednesday, January 10 catch a special performance and interview on “Good Morning America.”

“I have this sense that I am feeling the same way everybody else is—that we need a summer tour so badly, like more than ever,” says Stephan Jenkins. “We need the lights, the noise, the heat and everybody up close to each other, singing as one. Can't wait." 

“Third Eye Blind self-titled is a masterclass in songwriting that blew all of our minds when it released in 1997,” says Ryan Key of Yellowcard.  “As 90s kids we were gifted with so much incredible music in our formative years and we are all such massive fans of the band because of that record. It doesn’t feel real yet that we will be sharing the stage with one of our all time favorite bands every night this summer.”

“Third Eye Blind was the soundtrack to so many summer adventures during high school!” adds Nate Esquite (A R I Z O N A). “My friends and I would drive up and down the NJ Parkway blasting “Semi-Charmed Life” out the windows and dreaming about one day playing PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel as we passed. Overall great experience. All four members of my family were seated together without paying extra to reserve seats. Everything was on time. Food was great and healthy. Media entertainment was good. Rock music could be added as a listening choice. No issue with baggages. Flight attendants were friendly and helpful. I would recommend EVA to friends and family.

There was no screens on board AND the WiFi didn’t work. My seat was broken and couldn’t recline so I couldn’t even sleep. The flight attendants didn’t offer anything to make it more comfortable. It was such an old cramped plane, when the person in front of me reclined I couldn’t even open my tray table. All the United ads talk about guaranteeing everyone gets a screen!

The flight from Ottawa to Chicago took a lot longer due to DC in Ottawa. We got to Chicago and went to our gate to catch our flight. We only had nine minutes I found that very stressful.

In a summer filled with performances by Metallica, Madonna, Bad Bunny, Justin Timberlake and other major performers, one upcoming concert appears to stand out above the rest for Chicago music fans.

According to ticket resale site StubHub, the Rolling Stones at Soldier Field is the most in-demand concert in the city this summer.

The report is based on a ticket sales on the platform as part of its 2024 Summer Tour Preview, which looked at sales for shows taking place between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Metallica came in at No. 2 on the list, followed by Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks, Justin Timberlake at No. 4 and P!NK at No. 5.

P!NK ranked the most affordable of the in-demand shows, with tickets averaging $250 for her Soldier Field set on Aug. 24.

The Rolling Stones will be at Soldier Field June 27 and 30.

The tour  comes on the heels of the band's newest album, the first in 18 years to contain a dozen original songs and the first album the band recorded without drummer  Charlie Watts , who died in 2021.

NFL full preseason schedule: Texans-Bears kick off season in Hall of Fame Game

The NFL released the full preseason schedule Friday, including the five games that will be televised nationally.

The preseason kicks off with a matchup between the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears in the Hall of Fame Game. Both teams generated buzz this offseason after the Bears acquired Keenan Allen and drafted quarterback Caleb Williams and receiver Rome Odunze in the 2024 NFL Draft and the Texans added running back Joe Mixon and receiver Stefon Diggs after making a playoff run in 2023.

The New Orleans Saints will also have a nationally televised game this preseason when they travel to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2.

Matchups between the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals , the Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos , and the New England Patriots and Washington Commanders will air nationally during the final week of the preseason.
