This experience is designed to create a once-in-a-lifetime evening for you and your party, built upon privacy and exclusivity. When you join us for an Exclusive Desert Experience, you get to enjoy the Dubai desert in a unique and memorable way.

Your Exclusive Desert Experience includes the very best as standard. From private transfers to and from your hotel or accommodation to premium drinks packages and private dining spaces, you always get exclusive treatment.

Your itinerary is built upon complete privacy – you will enjoy the guidance and service of a dedicated AA team member, dine in your own Bedouin-inspired dining space, and be served by a private waiter throughout your evening. The Exclusive Desert Experience is the perfect occasion for couples celebrating an anniversary, a family celebrating a unique birthday, or friends gathering to enjoy a special evening together.

The 4x4 dune drive and Camel Ride experiences are windows into the world of the Dubai desert, all enjoyed in the company and privacy of your group. Your personal Arabian Adventures driver will take you up, down, over and across the dunes, followed by a tranquil stroll on board the ships of the desert, the Arabian Camel.

Know before you go

• This experience is completely exclusive to your party only, and can host up to 6 guests
• We recommend wearing comfortable clothing for your Exclusive Desert Experience, including sneakers/walking shoes and modest dress
• While we endeavour to show you as much wildlife as possible, we cannot predict the movements of every species. Therefore, if some of the animals change their plans, we can’t guarantee you’ll spot them.
• This experience does not include live entertainment, however, background music will be played throughout the evening. Optional entertainment is available on request
• Temperatures can fluctuate in the desert quite quickly. Warm afternoons can turn into cool evenings, particularly in the winter months. Please take this into account when deciding what to wear for your Exclusive Desert Experience
• We recommend wearing sunscreen for your activity, and packing a pair of sunglasses and a hat
• We will work to accommodate special dietary requirements when they are shared with us in advance. Please contact our team via WhatsApp on +971 4 274 8803 to share your requirements, or complete the form linked here , and we will work to accommodate your request.
• Please inform our team of any existing medical conditions before joining us for your Exclusive Desert Experience. Where necessary, we will work to make alternative arrangements for certain activities to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all guests throughout the experience
• Please note, expectant mothers and guests with existing medical conditions will be required to skip the 4x4 dune drive for their comfort

Cancellation policy

• We understand that plans can change. If they do, please let us know at least 24 hours prior to your activity. We will not be able to process refunds for bookings cancelled less than 24 hours before your activity starts
• Full payment for your booking is required at least two days prior to your activity. If payment is not received before the expected date, we reserve the right to cancel your activity
• In exceptional circumstances, we may have to amend the Exclusive Desert Experience schedule, or cancel the activity entirely. We reserve the right to amend and cancel activities in such circumstances, and will ensure we communicate any changes in advance where possible

We love hearing from guests about their time in Russia and one comment often hear is how surprised people are by the Russian capital. We can’t say for certain what people expected but we do know that it’s always far removed from what they imagined! It’s been called a modern metropolis, a cosmopolitan city, an historic gem, an architectural treasure and a cultural powerhouse, among other descriptions. Majestic Moscow has always surprised our guests and left them with lasting and fond memories.

Russia’s famous Golden Ring is an archipelago of historic towns surrounding Moscow. Uglich is one of the oldest and was founded under Igor, the last Varangian prince. It once resisted the Mongol invasion and its ancient walls saw the grisly murder of young Dmitri, son of Ivan the Terrible. The impressive Church of St. Dmitri on the Blood, with its classic onion domes and blood red walls, is a fine example of classic Russian architecture. The tour ends with an enchanting choral concert.

This, the oldest city on the Volga River, and now a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts a wealth of ancient orthodox treasures. The impressive Transfiguration of the Savior, adorned with murals depicting St. John’s apocalyptic visions can be seen in the Spassky Monastery. The Church of St. Elijah the Prophet is decorated with an awe-inspiring selection of rich frescoes. For a real taste of pre-revolutionary Russia, visitors are entertained by a costumed reception at the Governor’s House.

Close to the shores of White Lake once were the ‘tsar’s fishing grounds’. It lies in a place so serene that ancient monks chose to build no fewer than three holy sites here, including the Ferapontov Monastery. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, its chapels boast magnificent frescoes by Dionysius, one of Russia’s most renowned icon painters. The Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery was a refuge for many nobles during tumultuous times and later a fortress that successfully repelled invading armies.

The Karelia region is a vast and naturally beautiful wilderness that spreads all the way from St. Petersburg to the Arctic Circle. The glorious island village of Kizhi consists almost entirely of the traditionally styled wooden buildings of ‘Old Russia’. Among them is the famous Transfiguration Church built in 1714. Remarkably, and in testament to the craftsmen of the time, not a single nail was used in its construction! Kizhi is one of the favorite stops on the river cruise to St. Petersburg.

A typical rural hamlet brought to life by warm and welcoming villagers. Volga Dream guests are invited into local homes to enjoy classic Russian fare, tea with jam and ‘pirozhki’ (pies). Enthusiastic hosts share Russian traditions and the appeal of village life while proudly showing off their scrupulously kept homes and kitchen gardens. The tour continues with a brief bus ride to see a unique World War II memorial and then, for a real glimpse of Russian life, a visit to a local primary school.

Nizhny Novgorod

This was once a wealthy city thanks to its proximity to rich eastern trading routes. During the Soviet era, the city was closed to outsiders because of its military importance. It’s also where many political prisoners were sent to live out their days in exile. The 16th-century Kremlin ramparts offer spectacular views and the city is known for its elaborately decorated churches. For Volga Dream cruise guests, the highlight of the day is an evening folk concert performed by local children.

Sailing along the Volga river, the riverbank gradually ceases to be dominated by Orthodox churches. Instead, beautiful mosques appear as the river crosses into Tatarstan where the first stop is scenic Kazan, the region’s capital. Inside the white walls of the citadel, the famous Kul Sharif mosque and the old Cathedral of Peter and Paul stand side-by-side symbolizing the two faiths’ long and peaceful coexistence in the region. A concert of traditional Tatar music ends the Volga Dream tour in Kazan.

Passing the Zhigulevskie Mountains offers wonderful views from the sundeck before touring the city. One of the key attractions is the fascinating Space Museum, which offers a revealing glimpse of how the Soviet Union pursued its ambitious journey to the cosmos. The town is also noted for its beautiful esplanade, perfect for a relaxed stroll beside the Volga river. This in turn leads to the Samara State Art Museum. Founded in 1897, it is home to a collection of more than 16,000 works of art.

This city is best known for its close associations with cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin. The Russian hero who achieved worldwide fame as the first man in space lived and studied here. Saratov used to be home to a large German community, a heritage that can still be seen in the local architecture. The Volga Dream tour visits the Radishchev State Art Museum, the first picture gallery in Russia outside Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Originally called Tsaritsyn, the city was renamed Stalingrad from 1925 to 1961 in honor of the USSR’s leader. During World War II, the city’s residents put up a heroic defense, repelling an advancing Nazi invasion. The battle for Stalingrad has gone down in history as a pivotal moment in the bloody conflict on the eastern front. The most ferocious and deadly fighting took place on Mamayev Hill, where an imposing memorial now stands close to the excellent Battle of Stalingrad Panorama Museum.

Saint Petersburg

If Moscow surprises, then St Petersburg delights. Peter the Great founded the city to showcase Russia’s newfound enlightenment. He wanted to show the modern world a cultured and advanced society. In short, he built the city to impress and in that he succeeded splendidly! The striking buildings were designed by some of the finest architects Europe had to offer and even now, the ‘Venice of the North’ never fails to enchant with its spectacular buildings and impressive canal network. It is a city of true grandeur.

The Russian language can be rather beautiful and poetic and we know that many seasoned travelers enjoy trying their hand at different languages. The drink we tend to associate with Russia is vodka, but tea, in fact, is the much more universal beverage of choice throughout the country. Russian Cooking Class

A plate of pelmeni might not look like much to the untrained eye, but it forms the heart of Russian cuisine and culture. Basically, it's a type of dumpling: small portions of meat and onion wrapped in a thin sheet of unleavened dough and boiled, a little like ravioli. Guests can join a Russian cooking class onboard the MS Volga Dream to learn how to cook this delicious Russian dish.

Now boarding: Faces, places, and trends shaping tourism in 2024

Global travel is back and buzzing. The amount of travel fell by 75 percent in 2020; however, travel is on its way to a full recovery by the end of 2024. More regional trips, an emerging population of new travelers, and a fresh set of destinations are powering steady spending in tourism.

There’s no doubt that people still love to travel and will continue to seek new experiences in new places. But where will travelers come from, and where will they go?

Destination readiness: Preparing for the tourist flows of tomorrow

As global tourism grows, it will be crucial for destinations to be ready. How can the tourism ecosystem prepare to host unprecedented volumes of visitors while managing the challenges that can accompany this success? Trans-Siberian Train

The main route of the Trans-Siberian Railway begins in Moscow and heads east to Vladivostok passing through Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Ulan Ude, Chita, Blagoveshchensk and Khabarovsk. The length of the route is 9259 km or 5753 miles. The train travels through 7 time zones and takes 8 days to complete without making overnight stops. The Trans-Siberian splits off into a few other fascinating directions as well:

Trans-Mongolian Train

The Trans-Mongolian Line was built from 1940 to 1956 between Ulan-Ude at Lake Baikal’s eastern shore and the Chinese capital Beijing. From Ulan-Ude the tracks go south towards Mongolia, crossing the great Gobi Desert and finally ending up in Beijing. This route is a mere 7867 kilometers long (Moscow - Beijing).

Trans-Manchurian Train

The Trans-Manchurian Line runs on the same route as the Trans-Siberian as far as Tarskaya, which is a few hundred miles east of Baikal. From Tarskaya, the line runs southeast into China near Zabaikalsk and makes its way down to Beijing. This route is a 9001 kilometres long (Moscow - Beijing).

Where does the trans-siberian railway start and where does it end.

The Trans-Siberian Railway starts in Moscow and extends all the way to Vladivostok on the Pacific Ocean. This route connects the European part of Russia, the Ural region, Siberia and the Russian Far East.

Are Beijing and Ulan Bator stops along the Trans-Siberian railway?

Beijing and Ulan Bator are parts of Trans-Mongolian railway - an offshoot of the main Trans-Siberian Railway. There are many options to arrange your travel: to visit Ulan Bator and or follow the Trans-Siberian railway to or from Vladivostok. 

Can I use the hop-on hop-off principle when traveling by Trans-Siberian train?

Unfortunately, that is not possible. Train tickets in Russia are not open, so you will need a separate ticket with a particular date for each leg of your trip - for example, you may go all the way from Moscow to Vladivostok, but you will only be able to leave the train for short stops at the railway stations. In case if you would like to explore different cities on the way, you will need separate tickets, for example Moscow – Yekaterinburg, Yekaterinburg – Irkutsk, Irkutsk - Vladivostok. We offer carefully planned private tours that will allow you to visit several cities on your way.

Are there showers aboard Trans-Siberian trains?

Most of the Trans-Siberian trains do not have showers, and there are two WCs per each carriage. Please consider it while planning your trip. We recommend to choose shorter distances (that is, to plan more overnight stops in the cities along the way) to avoid the inconvenience of not showering. Another option is to choose the trip on board a more luxurious train which has all the on-board amenities that one might need.

Are meals included on the board of Trans-Siberian express train?

When traveling with RZD regular trains meals are not included. You can easily buy your meals in the restaurant car.  Another option is to buy local specialties from “babushkas” (grandmothers, or simply Russian old ladies) on the short train stops along the way. This is a very authentic way of getting your meals.

What is the most comfortable way to travel on the Trans-Siberian railroad?

There are luxurious trains on the Trans-Siberian railway that are quite different from regular RZD trains and can be described as 5* hotels on wheels. We offer this type of accommodation on the Imperial Russia train where you can enjoy a full board menu, a shower and a comfortable compartment.

• MENA region leads global growth in luxury travel

When economists charted the sectors that are leading recovery, travel emerged among the largest and fastest. Especially in the Middle East, luxury travel is picking up steam. Globally, the luxury travel market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.9% until 2030. And the Middle East region is playing a major part in driving that growth, both in terms of outbound and inbound travel, given the high quality of luxury hospitality experiences in the region.

Our latest report Affluent Travel: A Middle East Perspective highlights the role of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in driving growth in affluent travel. While much of the world is barely touching pre-pandemic levels, MENA is the only region to show arrivals 22% above 2019. The top five most visited cities in the region include Istanbul, Dubai, Cairo, Jeddah, and Marrakesh.

High-net-worth travelers contribute approximately 36% of the global spend on travel and nearly 70% of the spend on luxury travel.

The study also notes that more than half of affluent travelers prioritize experiences over physical goods. Meanwhile, nearly a quarter are willing to pay more for remote destination experiences, customized tours to connect with local culture and eco-friendly resorts.

The appetite for new experiences in unexplored destinations, micro-trips and a maturing tourism offering will drive the growth of the global luxury travel market, estimated at $1.38 trillion in 2023.

Luxury-seekers are digitally savvy, with 74% booking travel online. However, they also want their money’s worth in the form of exemplary customer service and pampering. Meanwhile, the combination of business and leisure, or ‘bleisure’, is resulting in more remote-work trips as digital nomads change the face of travel.

As wealth migrates to younger generations, Millennials now comprise the highest percentage of luxury-seekers, followed by Gen Z. Within the GCC, however, Gen X is expected to make the highest contribution to travel growth.

Affluent travelers place a premium on authentic eco-luxury experiences. A significant 38% of this discerning segment are willing to pay between 30% and 50% more for sustainable travel features such as energy-efficient solutions.

For the past year, pop megastar Taylor Swift has been prancing around her glitzy "Eras" tour stage in pairs of red bottoms adorned with crystals.

Designer Christian Louboutin recently told Vogue that he designed 250 pairs of custom shoes for the pop star and her dancers — including 60 new ones for the recent European leg of her tour.

Styles in Swift's collection include the knee-high Eleonora Botta and the Cate Boot, per Louboutin's website . Many of the styles are dripping in hand-applied strass crystals.

"The way strass crystals catch the light is super impactful onstage. After all, this is the biggest tour in the world — the girl needs to shine!" Louboutin told Vogue.

Louboutin also told Vogue that he tried to design Swift's shoes to be comfortable and performance-ready.

Pasquale Fabrizio, designer and owner of Pasquale Shoe Repair in Los Angeles, told Business Insider that the heeled versions of the showpiece shoes aren't necessarily built for dancing, but the iconic red bottoms carry a sought-after reputation. Many performers wear the shoes onstage, he said.

"The pinnacle of footwear is Louboutin," Fabrizio told BI.

Dean Rago of the Rago Brothers, a Louboutin repair shop in Morristown, New Jersey, told BI he could not imagine himself wearing those heels at Swift's height (the songstress is nearly 6 feet tall). Still, he said some customers find the shoe more comfortable than those from other designers.

"Some people will say that if they're gonna go that high, they want a Louboutin because they can bear it," Rago said.

Fabrizio, whose shop has done repair work for celebrities like Oprah and Meryl Streep , said there are ways to help reinforce the shoes — but emphasized that the shoes were never built for "parachute jumping."

For example, he said a metal brace can be added inside the heels of shoes to help prevent splitting or opening up. This can happen, as evidenced by Swift herself, when one of her heels broke in Brazil .

Rago said customers also protect the shoe's bottom with a thin piece of red rubber that his shop installs to prevent scuffing.

Vogue reported that Swift began working with Louboutin in 2018 when the designer first lent his designs to her "Reputation" tour.

Years later, she's still showing loyalty to the brand.

Rago said the shoe is long-lasting and repairs easily — a worthy investment for Swifties inspired to follow in Swift's footsteps and purchase a pair of their own.

Both Fabrizio and Rago say they've seen more and more people coming into their shops over the past few years to have their Louboutin shoes repaired — and Swift may play a role in this trend.

Fabrizio, who said Swift once entered his shop nearly a decade ago, found her loyalty to the brand admirable.

"She's a big influencer in the brand and product," Fabrizio said. "Just endorsing it and wearing it allows the younger generation of girls to go after that look. She exemplifies fashion."

Representatives for Louboutin and Swift did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Why? The answer is simple, says Louis Dorfman, chef concierge at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas: “The Dallas hospitality dollar, compared to other major cities, goes further.”

“When considering luxury accommodations and amenities, hotel room rates, and food and beverage prices are typically lower than other major U.S. Markets,” adds John Goff, chairman of Fort Worth-based Crescent Real Estate .

According to a 2023 comparison of average hotel rates across 50 cities in the United States, specifying a minimum of three-star accommodations, Dallas averaged $186 per night versus the top three most expensive nightly averages in Boston ($303), NYC ($288), and Austin ($257). But in the luxury sector, Dallas offers an even more tantalizing value proposition: At the Ritz-Carlton Dallas, doubles start at $349, compared to $795 a night at the Ritz-Carlton Boston or $825 at the Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad.

“The combination of a lower cost of living, a strong job market and an opportunistic ecommerce environment has made Dallas an attractive destination for both businesses and individuals alike,” says Dorfman.

“Hotel rates prior to the early 2000s were not high enough to justify building new luxury products,” Goff adds. “We saw an incredible opportunity to develop the Ritz Carlton given the lack of luxury supply and burgeoning demand as Dallas continued to grow.”

When the Ritz-Carlton, Dallas opened in 2007, Goff said his company’s thesis was a success as the hotel “ultimately achieved rates beyond anything the Dallas market had previously seen, providing other developers conviction to build more luxury products.”

Recently, Goff recognized another chance to influence the luxury market outside Dallas proper, with sights on Fort Worth. In late 2023, he opened the Crescent Fort Worth, a four-star hotel in the heart of the Cultural District. 

“Fort Worth, today, reminds me very much of Dallas a couple decades ago . . . [it] has historically lacked elevated luxury hotel offerings and I knew that we needed to change that,” says Goff, noting that Fort Worth is the fastest growing “big city” in the country, with just under one million people, and is now the 13th largest city in the United States.  

With its central locale and home to the second busiest airport in the United States—Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)—the Dallas-Fort Worth area is also garnering traction as a business destination. 

“We’ve seen an influx of residents and businesses from other states, like California, relocate to Dallas because of its favorable business climate and lower taxes,” Greg Dickhens, managing partner at Trinity Investments, says. “As such, there has been a greater demand for business and group travel and this audience is looking for more bespoke and luxury experiences.”

As real estate infrastructure continues to meet demands of niche travel, Payne points out that in addition to general business travel, Sports Business Journal ranked Dallas as the number one region in the country to conduct sports business in 2023. (Hôtel Swexan is steps from the American Airlines Center, Dallas area’s premier arena, which is home to the NHL’s Dallas Stars and NBA’s Dallas Mavericks.)

Not to mention, Frisco, where Omni PGA Frisco Resort debuted in 2023, is monikered as “Sports City USA,” home to the Dallas Cowboys and its Star headquarters, the FC Dallas soccer team at Toyota Stadium, the National Soccer Hall of Fame with the Women’s U.S. World Cup trophies, and Frisco Rough Riders Minor League Baseball Team.

Now, the area is also home to “the cutting-edge home of American golf,” says Smith, noting that Omni PGA Frisco Resort opened in partnership with PGA of America, which also opened its new $33.5 million headquarters here in 2023. The 660-acre resort includes two championship golf courses as well as a casual 10-hole short course (the Swing), two-acre putting green (the Dance Floor), a lounge by Topgolf, and a PGA of America Coaching Center.

“It’s a one stop shop for leisure or business,” says Smith.
