Vi'dar and Vi'dar Talios

Vi'dar crews, borg nanoprobe systems, vi'dar refinery, assimilated ferengi traders, infinitus skin, tiering the ship, borg expansion cubes, what vi'dar research works with talios, regular research, prime research, talios refinery, days to tier, probe refinery, refinery possibilities.

The Vi'dar can first be built at level 25. It can be gotten through event stores, borg events or the Cosmic Cleanup event during battle passes every Saturday.

Once you've built it, you'll get 2 transwarp cells per day in the same place you get your 10 Minute, 4 Hour and 24 Hour chests. These allow access to borg systems, where you can find borg probes to farm for inert nanoprobes. These can be refined in the borg refinery, which will show up once you've built the Vi'dar. In the refinery, you can convert them to Charged Nanoprobes or Active Nanoprobes.

Active Nanoprobes are needed to upgrade borg officers.

Charged Nanoprobes are used to upgrade the Vi'dar, and can be traded for Klingon, Romulan, Federation or Independent credits and/or reputation.

As you start off with the Vi'dar, it makes sense to use 7 of 11 as captain, with 8 of 11 and 9 of 11 as side officers (they can be replaced by other borg as you level up). 7's captain ability is to give the ship a percentage chance to hit three times instead of once, and with 2 other borg on the crew, this is 90%. The following shows at what tier your Vi'dar will kill borg probes in the first round of combat if triple shot procs (so you take minimal damage).

Once you have Pike and Moreau, or Picard and Beverly, you can switch over to hostile crew. For Borg Probes up to and including level 28, you should be using Pike(c)/Moreau/Chen or Picard(c)/Beverly/Chen. Probes from level 29 and up should be used with T'Laan instead of Chen (Pike(c)/Moreau/T'Laan or Picard(c)/Beverly/T'Laan).

In borg systems, you also have Assimilated Ferengi Traders flying about from time to time. These drop a special item, Latinum Antiques.

These are also in your Borg Tech Refinery, and have quite nice rewards when refined, which you can do once every five days.

You have a chance for any of the rewards at a given level, but may get none of any as well (you will always get something, but not all). It's all random here.

When you're normally farming borg, you should keep an eye out for these, but the easiest way to farm them is to sit in the hub between one of the sets of the borg systems.

Just send your Vi'dar here, and let it chill while you're doing other stuff. Every couple minutes check for a trader flying about. If you see one, send in your Vi'dar and kill it. It'll take a transwarp cell, but you often have a bunch of these lying about beyond what you need to farm for your chests if you aren't doing max pulls every day.

Some things you should keep in mind: 1. Be wary if other players are farming in that system, they'll likely try to go straight for a probe and can beat you as you warp in.

2. Probes are only active for 10 minutes before they warp away, so if you're not checking back consistently it can despawn before you get it.

3. It'll take about 30 seconds to warp in, and a lot can happen in 30 seconds.

4. Probes spawn every couple hours, so don't expect to get back to back probes in any system.

There is a skin for the Vi'dar which increases the amount of nanoprobes you get from killing borg probes by 50%. The only place to get this skin is during the occasional borg events that are run before battle passes. You can get 15 shards in each event, so you need four of these. As these events only run every few months expect quite some time before you'll get this skin.

Vi'dar Talios

What we know so far (will update as information comes in).

With the second month of the Borg arc comes a new ship, the Vi'dar Talios. This will be available free to play for every player with a Tier 9 Vi'dar. On day one of the arc you will get a mission that will get you half the blueprints. The second mission should be coming on day 8 of the arc. Therefore, you should have a full, free unlock of this in the second week of the arc if you have a max Vi'dar.

With this ship comes new Borg systems. These systems will be using the same currency as the old system, but have level 36-60 Borg ships in them, and will have much better sourcing of nanoprobes. Scopely is saying this will require many fewer kills then with the normal Vi'dar. It will also have a faster impulse speed than the normal Vi'dar, which should also cut down on the time.

Upgrades to this ship will use charged nanoprobes, exactly like the normal Vi'dar components.

There will be a new Borg refinery. All parts of the refinery replace the old one, so you will no longer have access to the old refinery. That being said, Scopely has said that the new refinery will have better rewards across the board, so it should be better.

These armadas should be fought by the ship. Click here for more information.

Prime Borg Rewards and Prime Nanoprobes will continue to function. Assimilated Credit Yield does not. The Vi'dar exocomps from the Borg solo armada chests will not affect the new ship. Other research needs to be tested.

New Research

All this research is under the Starships Tree

The first prime will be given free to all players who finish both missions or purchase the Talios. The other you'll have to pay for.

These are what tier Talios you can have at each ops level.

Borg Refinery

STFC: Zed Alpha

Zed Alpha is one of the systems you can explore in STFC, however, unlike other systems, it requires Epic Latinum Transwarp Cells to enter.

There are various systems that you can visit and explore as you progress in Star Trek Fleet Command.

It is important to note that every system requires a specific warp range before you can travel to it. One of the systems you can explore is Zed Alpha, which requires a warp range of 22.

If you are yet to reach warp range 22, you will not be able to travel to Zed Alpha, however, there are some officers in STFC that can increase your warp range when you assign them to a specific vessel.

Keep in mind that not only do you need a warp range of 22 to enter Zed Alpha, but you also need to collect Epic Latinum Transwarp Cells.

On the official STFC Discord server, a player known as Order2Chaos mentioned that you need to vanquish an Assimilated Ferengi Trader in a Borg Probe system to obtain a latinum antique.

STFC: Zed Alpha

Players are then able refine this item for a chance to obtain a Latinum Transwarp Cell.

The quality of the Latinum Transwarp Cell that you receive depends on the tier of your Vi’Dar. The higher the tier of your Vi’Dar is, the higher your chances are of getting an Epic Latinum Transwarp Cell.

Once you have obtained Epic Latinum Transwarp Cells, and if you have a warp range of 22, you will be able to enter Zed Alpha.

As you enter Zed Alpha, you will notice that this system does not have any missions for you to complete and it does not have any housing options. However, you can encounter Assimilated Ferengi Miners as you explore the system.

Where to find Assimilated Ferengi Traders

Assimilated ferengi miners, why should you travel to zed alpha.

As previously mentioned, you have to destroy Assimilated Ferengi Traders to obtain Latinum Antiques. It is worth noting that the level of the Assimilated Ferengi Trader determines its spawn location.

You can find the opponents in the following systems:

We recommend that you attempt to defeat an Assimilated Ferengi Trader that corresponds to your level. If you are level 25, you should not attack a level 33 Assimilated Ferengi Trader.

According to Commander Order2Chaos, you have to refine the Latinum Antiques you obtained from Assimilated Ferengi Traders to acquire a Latinum Transwarp Cell. It is believed that you have to refine this item in your Vi’Dar’s refinery.

In order to obtain Epic Latinum Transwarp Cells, you have to upgrade the Vi’Dar ’s tier. The higher the tier of the vessel is, the higher your chances are of obtaining Epic Latinum Transwarp Cells.

Though it is worth noting that there is no guarantee that you will receive an Epic Latinum Transwarp Cell by refining your Latinum Antiques.

Players may therefore have to refine the items several times to receive an Epic Latinum Transwarp Cell.

Once you have entered Zed Alpha, you may encounter Assimilated Ferengi Miners, which are level 31 opponents.

If you defeat this hostel, you will receive between 9000 and 11 000 Raw Latinum, however, this enemy has powerful statistics that you should consider:

Since entering Zed Alpha requires a lot of effort, several Commanders have been wondering why they should explore Zed Alpha.

This system contains 470 000 Raw Latinum, which essentially means that most players travel to this system to mine the Latinum.

Once you have obtained Raw Latinum, you can refine the resource to acquire Latinum, which is considered the rarest item in STFC.

STFC players can use their Latinum to purchase other resources and speed up items.

Keep in mind, however, that your vessel could be attacked by another player while you are mining your Latinum .

Carnac's Guide to Star Trek Fleet Command

The Ferengi D’Vor

Carnac | September 10, 2020 June 29, 2020 | Independent Ship , Ships

The Ferengi D’Vor is an ugly, ugly ship, but it’s one that does one thing very, very well. It mines Latinum. And Latinum makes the galaxy go round, or at least it allows you to purchase speed ups, common materials, resources, and ship parts that you don’t otherwise have. And mining Latinum will help you win on Ferengi Monday .

What the Ferengi D’Vor Good At

The D’Vor’s Ship Ability is Latinum Mining – it gives you a bonus in mining Raw Latinum. This starts out at 12,000% at Level 1 and maxes out at 17,500% when you get the ship to level 45. This gives the ship a tremendous advantage in this one area .

Keep in mind that not all Latinum nodes are created equal. Those that require a higher warp range will be higher than the lower systems. Suliban and the Borg space Latinum systems will be even higher. And some nodes are fast nodes, that produce Raw Latinum twice as fast as the other nodes in the system. You’ll be able to spot them by their brightness, and they “twinkle” a little.

Attack Piggy

If you’ve powered up your D’Vor enough, you can turn from a simple Piggy into it’s alter ego … ATTACK PIGGY. It’s really handy in sneaking up on other D’Vors, who won’t tend to see you as a threat. Generally, it takes a ship strength of 100,000+ or more to really do damage. And just about everybody agrees that “Attack Piggy” is fun to say.

It’s only got one weapon, but it’s a kinetic weapon. And to boot, it only fires every other turn. So you’re really only going to be attacking other D’Vors with this.

Crewing the Ferengi D’Vor

The Ferengi D’Vor has one obvious weakness that you discover soon after you launch it. It’s protected cargo is terrible. It gets better as you tier up the ship, but it’s never great, and since there is no dedicated officer who gives you a bonus for mining Latinum, you’ll want to use some of your crew members to increase the protected cargo.

My recommendation for the best D’Vor crew is Joaquin as captain, and T’Pring as one of your officers.

For the third officer, you’ve got a few options. If you’ve got Ten of Ten (the Borg Tribble), then he’s your best bet. His mining speed option is going to make a huge difference in your mining rate.
