• Beschrijving

Is uw Volkswagen Up! nog niet voorzien van cruise control? Deze enorm handige functie is gelukkig achteraf door ons in te bouwen in uw VW Up! Uw Up wordt voorzien van een compleet cruise controle pakket. Dus u krijgt achter het stuur de originele knipperlichthendel met de cruise control functie, precies zoals u van Volkswagen gewend bent. Dit komt omdat wij van Autopar.nl alleen met originele Volkswagen onderdelen werken.

Het is van belang dat de BCM (boordnetmodule) van uw Up! toereikend is voor inbouw van een cruisecontrol in de Up! Het onderdeelnummer moet uitgelezen worden waarna wij kunnen bepalen de cruisecontrol ook in uw Up! gaat werken. Mocht deze niet toereikend zijn, dan kunnen wij ook de BCM nog vervangen, de meerprijs hiervan moet dan nog worden bepaald, vraag ons hiernaar. Mocht uw auto voorzien zijn van een start/stop systeem (uitvoering BlueMotion) dan is de BCM sowieso geschikt.

Het Volkswagen Up! cruise controle pakket past in elke VW Up! Wilt u zeker weten of uw Up! geschikt is voor het achteraf inbouwen van cruise control? Neem dan contact met ons op via info [at] autopar.nl, houdt uw kenteken of chassisnummer bij de hand, want aan de hand daarvan kunnen wij bepalen of uw Up! is voorzien van het juiste regelapparaat die cruise control mogelijk maakt. Soms is uitlezen via uitleessoftware noodzakelijk.

Het resultaat na de inbouw van deze VW Up! cruise control is fabrieks-identiek. Dus wanneer uw Up! met cruise control zou zijn geleverd, zo leveren wij uw Up! af. U dacht dat u al zuinig reed met uw Volkswagen Up!? Met cruisecontrol in uw Up! zal het verbruik alleen maar lager worden, en hij rijcomfort hoger.

De cruise control is vakkundig gemonteerd.

Werk zoals je verwacht. fabriek-af.

Op locatie onder genot van een bakje koffie kunnen wachten op de inbouw die volgens afspraak 2 uurtjes duurde. Tijdens het wachten op locatie door kunnen gaan met mijn werk. Al met al heel erg tevreden. Eindresultaat is een originele afwerking en werkt zoals het hoort. Bonus was dat ze het nieuwe stuur wat ik had meegenomen er ook zo op hebben gezet. Super!

Ze hebben cruise controle en mijn boordcomputer aangesloten en geprogrammeerd voor mijn VW UP. Prima te spreken over de mannen uiterste correct geholpen en erg klantvriendelijk.

Een lange autorit kan best wel vermoeiend zijn. Zeker met de wisselende maximumsnelheden moet u uw snelheid constant in de gaten houden. Een verkeersboete ligt zomaar op de mat. Door gebruik te maken van een Cruise Control , ook wel bekend als een snelheidsregelaar, kunt u zuinig en ontspannen autorijden. Maar nog niet elke auto heeft een snelheidsregelaar, gelukkig kunt u bij bijna alle moderne auto’s achteraf een Cruise Control inbouwen. Een inbouwspecialist, autodealer of garage kan dit voor u doen. Afhankelijk van het automodel zijn de kosten voor een Cruise Control inbouwen tussen de één en drie arbeidsuren.

Wat is een Cruise Control?

Een Cruise Control is een elektronische snelheidsregelaar die in uw voertuig geplaatst kan worden. Met een Cruise Control stelt u de snelheid in, waarna deze snelheid automatisch wordt aangehouden. U hoeft zo dus niet constant de snelheid aan te passen met het gaspedaal.

Waarom een Cruise Control inbouwen?

• Het zorgt ervoor dat u ontspannen kunt rijden.

Een Cruise Control inbouwen is voor vrijwel iedere auto mogelijk

Is uw auto nog niet voorzien van een Cruise Control? Wij leveren pasklare systemen uit, die voorzien zijn van een specifieke handleiding. Zo is het inbouwen van de snelheidsregelaar erg eenvoudig. De Cruise Control systemen van Zemco passen op vrijwel ieder voertuig en zijn leverbaar in verschillende uitvoeringen. Met behulp van onze offertetool komt u erachter welke Cruise Control geschikt is voor uw voertuig en vraagt u eenvoudig een offerte aan. Een Cruise Control systeem van Zemco bestaat uit een uit het zicht geplaatste regelunit en een bedieningssysteem .

Stuurkolombediening van een Cruise Control

Er zijn verschillende type bedieningen mogelijk. In de meeste gevallen wordt er een  stuurkolombediening  gemonteerd. Zo kan de Cruise Control bediend worden zonder dat de handen van het stuur gehaald hoeven te worden. De  CM35  en  CM50  zijn hierbij voorzien van toetsen waarmee u uw vaak gereden snelheden kunt voorprogrammeren. Zo brengt u met één druk op de knop het voertuig soepel naar de gewenste snelheid.

Draadloze bediening en bediening op het dashboard

Wij bieden ook  draadloze bediening , deze wordt tegen het hart van het stuurwiel geplaatst. Draadloze bediening biedt uitkomst wanneer het niet mogelijk is om een bediening aan de stuurkolom te monteren. Ook hebben wij Cruise Control bediening die  op het dashboard  of middenconsole geplaatst kan worden. Verder is het in sommige gevallen mogelijk de Cruise Control bediening van het automerk zelf te plaatsen.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) inbouwen

Beste Aike, Probleem bij nieuwe modellen is dat er een kans is dat de centrale boordnetmodule de cruise-control niet ondersteund, is het ergste geval moet deze dus vervangen worden. Wat je sowieso kwijt bent: - Stuurkolomhendel 76,- euro - Kabelset 39,- euro - Montage en aanleren 165,- euro Indien de boordnetmodule vervangen moet worden komt hier nog 452,- euro bij.

I tried adaptive cruise control on these EVs — and it changed the way I drive

Drivers may be surprised trying it out for the first time

Three EVs and one PHEV in, there’s one feature I’ve been constantly leaning on my quest to drive the best electric cars around. It’s adaptive cruise control (ACC), which is also commonly referred to as dynamic cruise control and smart cruise control depending on the car maker. They all basically follow the premise of maintaining your vehicle’s speed while driving, but with the ability to steer the wheel for you as well so that you stay centered in your lane.

I can’t tell you how it’s the single thing that’s changing my habits, which I explained in detail when I test drove the Lexus TX550H+ and let it take over the wheel for me . This feature isn’t just exclusive to EVs because it’s been in many gas-powered vehicles and hybrids for a long while now, leveraging different technologies, such as LiDAR, sonar, radar, and even the cameras around the car.

For those still driving much older vehicles, say 10+ years old, they could find the experience of using adaptive cruise control a bit jarring when they upgrade — which could dissuade them from using it entirely. After driving multiple EVs with adaptive cruise control, I realize it serves its purpose more often than not. Here’s when you should and shouldn’t use it.

Perfect for highways

Cruise control has always been a driver’s best friend for those long trips on highways. Adaptive cruise control makes it even better because today’s vehicles can intelligently identify other moving vehicles — especially the one right in front of you.

When I test drove the Hyundai Ioniq 6 for a week , I was impressed by its ability to distance itself from the car in front of me while driving the speed limit on highways. When it senses it’s getting too close to the vehicle in front of me, or when an adjacent vehicle enters my lane, the Ioniq 6’s adaptive cruise control system automatically applies the appropriate amount of braking.

Even when the highway’s making a bend further up in the road, the Ioniq 6’s driver assist mode moves the steering wheel accordingly for me — all while maintaining my lane and speed.

Taking things to the next level, I was astounded by the lane change assist feature while test driving the Kia EV9. My colleague Kate Kozuch also tried this helpful driving feature out when she test drove the Mustang Mach-E GT very recently, which performed a lane change on its own thanks to Ford’s BlueCruise self-driving technology .

I tried out a similar lane changing assist feature with the Kia EV9 , and when paired with adaptive cruise control, I’m impressed by how it makes driving even easier (and safer too). Again, I think it works well on highways when you want to change lanes because adaptive cruise control continues to maintain the car’s speed — while also detecting other vehicles while it’s making a lane change.

Less burden with congestion driving

During my commute back home from New York City, congestion on the roads eventually brought traffic on the highway to its usual stop-and-go flow. With adaptive cruise control and driver assist enabled on the Kia EV9, it’s the perfect pairing for congestion driving on the highway.

That’s because the EV9’s able to apply the appropriate amount of braking and acceleration to keep its distance with the vehicle in front of me. Gridlock traffic is already a burden for all drivers on the road, but I love how this makes it less of a hassle. Even when the vehicle in front of me comes to a complete stop, adaptive cruise control automatically gets the vehicle moving once it clears up.

Although, I always kept my foot lighting over the brake because you just never know . I recommend that you do the same when using adaptive cruise control because it's the fail-safe method to instantly give back complete control of your vehicle.

Tough on local roads with faint lines

Now, one of the times I found it challenging to use adaptive cruise control was on city streets with faintly painted lines on the road. That’s because both the Ioniq 6 and EV9 struggled to keep their respective driver assist modes on to keep me centered in the lane. I’m able to recognize this because the dashboard display would normally show green lines alongside the car to indicate that it can stay centered in the lane.

Of course, it would go green whenever it can reestablish those lines on the road, but I wouldn’t lean on adaptive cruise control a whole lot when they’re indistinct.

Winding roads are troublesome

And finally, I would absolutely tell you to disengage adaptive cruise control on those long, winding roads that have you hitting steep inclines and tight turns. One of the challenges I encountered while driving with it on winding roads is that it wants to maintain the vehicle’s rate.

Naturally, this works wonderfully on straightaways and such, but it’s jarring when it encounters an incline because adaptive cruise control lacks human perception to anticipate road changes. For example, I found adaptive cruise control accelerating a little after going up a hill to maintain its speed — rather than anticipating the incline and accelerating beforehand to help sustain the vehicle’s momentum.

Furthermore, tight turns are nearly impossible for adaptive cruise control because it doesn’t adjust the vehicle’s speed ahead of time. It’s jarring when it’s cruising at 35 mph and wants to take a bend in the road at the same speed, rather than dialing down as the speed limit sign suggests.

While it’s not perfect for all driving conditions, I still find more benefits with using adaptive cruise control. Even though some parts of the technology help to propel fully automated vehicles, I need to remind everyone using this that it’s still an assistive feature — so it’s not meant to replace you entirely as the driver.

Cruisecontrol laten inbouwen voor meer gemak. Tegenwoordig nemen hulpsystemen de bestuurder steeds meer taken uit handen. Eén daarvan is de cruisecontrol. Wilt u snelheid behouden, zonder gas te geven? Dan is een snelheidsregelaar de perfecte oplossing. Deze snelheidsregelaar is een middel om de snelheid van uw voertuig vast te zetten. Gas geven is in dat geval niet meer nodig. Ideaal wanneer u lange afstanden aflegt of regelmatig rustige wegen berijdt.

Een cruisecontrol laten inbouwen heeft meerdere voordelen. Zo zult u minder vaak snelheidsovertredingen begaan: u rijdt continu dezelfde snelheid en zult daarom minder snel te hard rijden. Het vergroot uw veiligheid aangezien u minder onverwachte bewegingen maakt én rijdt u zuiniger door een constante snelheid. De snelheidsregelaar schakelt zich altijd automatisch uit indien u remt. Cruise control inbouw voor Volkswagen groep modellen

Originele cruise control in uw volkswagen.

Onze techneuten monteren regelmatig cruise control systemen in auto's. Altijd zullen zij proberen om een originele cruise control bediening te bewerkstelligen. We hebben er nooit eerder over geschreven, maar ook voor de modellen uit de Volkswagen groep voeren wij deze cruise control retrofits uit. 

We nemen u mee tijdens de inbouw van een originele cruise control in een VW Golf VI uit bouwjaar 2009. Stap voor stap laten we u zien hoe onze techneuten de montage van de cruise control zorgvuldig uitvoeren.

Stap 1 Uw auto mist een originele cruise control

Dat is balen. Cruise control is een fijne accessoire waar u veel plezier aan kunt beleven, mits vakkundig ingebouwd.

Stap 2 Demonteren kolomschakelaar

Dit is een zorgvuldig werkje. Zowel airbag als stuurwiel dienen gedemonteerd te worden. Tevens dient de stuurwiel elektronica module los genomen te worden. Wanneer dit onzorgvuldig gedaan wordt, sneuvelt de kostbare stuurwiel elektronica. 

Eerst moet de oude kolomschakelaar worden gedemonteerd

Stap 3 Montage van de nieuwe schakelaar met cruise control bediening

Nu kan de nieuwe kolomschakelaar met originele cruise control bediening gemonteerd worden. Vervolgens worden stuurwielelektronica, stuurwiel, stuukolombekleding en airbag terug gemonteerd.

Stap 4 Coderen van de voertuig-eletronica

Nu moeten we er nog voor zorgen dat de boord-elektronica daadwerkelijk de signalen van de nieuwe cruise control schakelaar gaat verwerken. Dit doen we door de codering van de stuurwiel-elektronica aan te passen. Voor de verwerking van de gegevens van de koppelings- en rempedaalschakelaars passen we de motorelektronica codering aan.

HOUSTON – More than two dozen people on a United Airlines flight to Houston on Friday became ill while the plane was traveling from Canada.

United Airlines flight 1528 was flying from Vancouver, British Columbia to Houston. During the flight, 25 people became sick.

According to the Houston Fire Department , the sick passengers reported symptoms of nausea.

“About an hour and a half before we hit Houston, they ask for if you’ve been on this cruise ship, could you raise your hand,” James Snell recounts from his flight.

All of the ill passengers were previously on a cruise. A total of 75 passengers flying on the plane were on that cruise.

Firefighters and paramedics met the passengers as they landed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport following the five-hour flight from Vancouver, British Columbia.

“Then all of a sudden, the flight attendant, she put on a mask, and the guy next to me is like, ‘What do you think’s going on?’ And I’m like, ‘Bro, I don’t know. You know? I mean, COVID, we’re all going to die.’ You know what I mean,” said Snell.

Three people were “evacuated” from the airplane, but no one was taken to the hospital.

MORE STORIES INVOLVING UNITED AIRLINES

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) the plane landed around 6:30 p.m.

“Then firetrucks and ambulances started pulling up,” Snell said. “They didn’t hold us very long, maybe 45 minutes-ish.”

Passengers aboard the airplane say that the pilot and flight attendants alerted them that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is investigating the illness.

“This is where it got weird,” Snell said. “He [the pilot] got over the speaker, but he came out to us and he said, ‘Hey, in my 25 years of flying, I’ve never seen anything like this. We have been quarantined by the CDC. Nobody can exit the plane until the CDC lets us off.’”

After being let off the plane passengers were screened by paramedics from the Houston Fire Department.

“As soon as you got off, you got mobbed, wanting to know if you had any symptoms and did you want to be triaged,” Snell said. “But then they let us off and I thought, man, you’re letting us off in Houston airport. Like we’re going everywhere in the world. This is how it started the last time.”

The last time refers to the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s what he and other passengers thought they could be dealing with.

“We’re all trapped in this tube, and we’ve all lived through Corona. And I was just like, oh, come on. Not again,” Snell said.

KPRC2 asked the FAA, CDC, Houston Fire Department and United Airlines for information about which cruise ship the passengers who got sick were on and for the illness, but none of the organizations would provide further information.

According to information from the CDC, there have been seven outbreaks of illness on cruise ships this year.

The most recent is a norovirus outbreak on the Celebrity Summit cruise ship.

Norovirus is commonly known as the “stomach bug” and can lead to nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. It’s a highly contagious virus, but is typically not a severe illness and passes in a few days, the CDC reports.

According to Celebrity Cruises’ website , the Celebrity Summit ship is currently sailing between Seward, Alaska and Vancouver, British Columbia.

Vancouver is where the United Airlines flight full of sick passengers took off.

KPRC2 asked Celebrity Cruises for more information about their outbreak and if it’s connected to the sick passengers that landed in Houston. We’re still waiting for an answer.

Meanwhile, United Airlines tells KPRC2′s Gage Goulding that the plane is being pulled from rotation until it can be deep cleaned.

UNITED AIRLINES STATEMENT

“Several passengers who had been on the same cruise and did not feel well were on United Flight 1528 from Vancouver to Houston tonight. United Airlines is actively coordinating with health authorities to address the situation. As a precautionary measure, the aircraft will be removed from service and go through a deep cleaning before returning to service. Ensuring the health and safety of our passengers and crew remains our top priority.”

CDC Statement

“CDC is aware of a flight from Vancouver, British Columbia, that arrived at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Friday, May 31.

Public health officers from CDC’s Houston Port Health Station worked with EMS to evaluate ill passengers on board. Most of the ill passengers reported mild GI symptoms. No passengers were noted to have a fever during the flight or upon public health assessment at landing. No passengers met CDC criteria for further public health follow-up. Passengers from the flight continued with their travel plans.”

Asteroid-bound Psyche spacecraft fires up ion thrusters, starts cruising through space

A rendezvous with the metallic asteroid 16 Psyche is scheduled for 2029.

NASA's mission to the metal-rich asteroid 16 Psyche has fired up its ion engines and is now cruising across the solar system under the power of solar-electric propulsion.

The launch of the spacecraft, which is also called Psyche , on October 13, 2023 gave it enough of an initial boost to take it across more than 190 million miles (300 million kilometers) of space, which is beyond the orbit of Mars . 

Now, however, its onboard ion engines have taken over the job of acceleration. They work by converting sunlight into electricity via the spacecraft's solar arrays that form its "wings." The resulting electrical current powers an electromagnetic field that accelerates and expels ions, which are charged particles, of xenon gas. As the ions are accelerated out of the four thrusters, creating an eerie blue glow, they impart a momentum upon the spacecraft, pushing it in the opposite direction.

The force exerted by expelled ions is small; each thruster provides a pressure equivalent to three coins pressing into your hand due to the force of gravity . However, with no atmospheric friction in space , this gentle thrust can build up, quickly accumulating to accelerate the spacecraft at higher and higher rates. Psyche is currently racing through space at 84,000 miles (135,000 kilometers) per hour, and the intention is to get it up to 124,000 miles (200,000 kilometers) per hour.

The spacecraft's ion engines are currently firing almost constantly and taking it forward, but as part of Psyche's journey to its eponymous asteroid, it will loop back around and encounter Mars in May 2026. On approaching the Red Planet, Psyche will shut down its ion engines and allow itself to get caught in Martian gravity and be slingshot around the planet.

After this gravity assist, the ion engines will power back up and the spacecraft's next stop will be the asteroid 16 Psyche in 2029, which it will orbit for at least two years. The asteroid 16 Psyche is of interest to scientists because it is a large, 173-mile-wide (280-kilometer-wide) fragment of an ancient planet's metallic core that was left over from our solar system's period of planet formation, about 4.5 billion years ago. By learning about 16 Psyche, planetary scientists hope to discover more about the interiors of rocky planets like Earth , as well as how these worlds formed.

Throughout its journey, the spacecraft Psyche has not been idle. It has spent its time using various instruments to gather scientific data. For example, its magnetometer as well as its gamma-ray and neutron spectrometer have detected charged particles emitted by coronal mass ejections from the sun . Meanwhile, the spacecraft is also testing a new deep-space optical communications technology based on using lasers, rather than radio, to transmit data over interplanetary distances. A test of the system in April exceeded expectations by beaming back data at 267 megabits per second from a distance of 226 million kilometers (140 million miles). This bit rate is comparable to broadband download speeds in your home.

"Until this point, we have been powering on and checking out the various pieces of equipment needed to complete the mission, and we can report they are working beautifully," said Henry Stone, who is the Psyche project manager at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory , in a statement . 

Psyche isn't the first mission to the asteroid belt to employ ion engines. Before it, NASA 's Dawn mission visited both Ceres and Vesta under the throttle of solar-electric propulsion. In Star Wars, the name of the Empire’s TIE fighters stands for Twin Ion Engine, but as Dawn, and now Psyche, demonstrate, such technology is no longer science fiction.

Earlier in the game, India chose to bat first but struggled initially as the batters adjusted to the new conditions of New York. Sanju Samson couldn't hold on and was dismissed early. Rohit Sharma also fell after a promising start. Rishabh Pant and Suryakumar Yadav then formed a responsible partnership, with Pant taking charge and accelerating the innings beautifully to score a brilliant fifty, while Yadav also contributed with a quick 31. After SKY's departure, Hardik Pandya came in all guns blazing and played a magnificent clutch inning in the backend smashing 40 off just 23. In the chase, Bangladesh couldn't gain any momentum and lost wickets at regular intervals. The Indian bowlers severely disrupted their batting order. However, Mahmudullah and Shakib Al Hasan formed a crucial partnership but Bangladesh was way too behind in the game by then.

India, on the other hand, began strongly with the ball. Arshdeep Singh struck in his first over, posing tough questions with conventional Test-match lengths and good swing. Jasprit Bumrah bowled with precision, keeping the Bangladeshi batters in check. Mohammed Siraj then claimed a wicket by hitting the deck hard and capitalizing on the pitch's assistance. Arshdeep removed Litton Das with a stunning delivery, helping India take control of the game. Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel then each claimed a wicket in quick succession and dented the middle order of Bangladesh badly. The spinners, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav, may not have taken wickets, but they effectively compounded the pressure with their economical spells. Hardik Pandya got a wicket to his name whereas Shivam Dube came in as a surprise package in the backend picking up two to his name which led India to a dominating victory over their sub-continental counterparts.

India win by a comfortable margin of 60 runs in this final warm-up game of this ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Bangladesh struggled from the start, unable to handle the ball's early movement. The ball repeatedly beat their outside edges, with Soumya Sarkar falling in the first over and Litton Das following soon after. Najmul Hossain Shanto's dismissal left Bangladesh in tatters as they limped through the Powerplay. Towhid Hridoy's brief and struggling stay at the crease also came to an end as he departed for 13. Tanzid Hasan couldn't sustain as well and threw his wicket away under pressure. Bangladesh lost half of its side below 50. The veteran duo of Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah then formed a resilient partnership, but Bangladesh was already too far behind. Despite this, they managed to keep the scoreboard ticking. The two complemented each other well, putting together crucial runs and showcasing all their experience. But in the end, they badly collapsed and faced a thumping defeat.
