Experience the extensive panorama of the Haldon Forest, with Go-Segway ,  as you glide along effortlessly on the eco-friendly i2 & X2 Personal Transporters. Taking in woodland tracks and trails, this is an unique way to enjoy the glorious sights Haldon Forest has to offer with amazing views of Exeter.

Tours start at 10.00am and run every hour until 6.00pm  all months continuing most weekends, weather permitting. Segways can operate in wet weather conditions – however private bookings only will operate, if there has been substantial rain the night before please call the info booking line early, around 8 am to avoid disappointment.

Standard tour  This tour will introduce you to the Segway, it’s a lovely glide around the play trail in the forest taking in the amazing views Haldon Forest has to offer. Experience lasts 30-40 mins. . Extended tour  This is for our customers that loved the last tour and want to come back for more. Here you get a longer trail to other parts of the Forest with a substantial hill at the conclusion where you unleash the power of your Segway to glide up the hill with zero effort. Experience lasts approximately 1 hour

Segway Safari  This is not for the faint hearted: on this tour you get to do what the Segway was designed for, you need to keep your wits about you as this a different training program all together! You will be powering your Segway round the new trail, look out for tree stumps and squirrels as this one is challenging! Experience lasts approximately 1 hour

Segway Tour Trail is available to everyone over 38kg (6 stone) and under 127kg (20 stone), plus riders must be over 135cm (4ft 5″) 54″ and under 201cm (6ft 7″)

• All our experiences are instructor lead. Included within the session time you will receive a safety briefing and also training on how to use the equipment which will enable you to maximise your experience and enjoyment of the activity.
• What To Wear:  Field based activity centre, please dress for the weather. Comfy activewear and closed toe footwear, preferably trainers.
• We recommend you have satisfactory insurance cover to take part in the experience. Devon Country Pursuits LTD does hold adequate insurance for Public Liability and this provides cover for our business’s legal liability to pay damages which result from a negligent act on our part. However as with other hazardous activities such as skiing, mountain biking or surfing we recommend you have your own insurance policy to cover you for accident and injury whilst taking part in any of out activities. We hope that you never need to use your insurance.

Go Segway! Haldon Forest, nr Exeter, Devon

Head to the Haldon Forest , just 15 minutes from Exeter for a terrific time on a Segway Tour; this is  proving to be very popular with hen parties , and equally so with corporate groups and families. The beginners tour follows a 3 mile trail around the forest, taking in the Bird of Prey Viewpoint, whilst the Segway Safari, for the over 18's, is a little more adventurous and takes you on a more challenging trail with a few uphills; you’ll need to keep focused, looking out for possible obstacles like tree stumps – and squirrels! There’s also a 15 minute Segway Taster which gives you a little introduction and shows you what a whizz you can have on these things. To take either of the tours you must be between 4ft 5” and 6ft 7” tall and weigh between 5 stone 10 and 23 stone. For the taster the lower weight limit is 5 stone 4. All sessions are for aged 10 years +. Tours start 10.30am to 4.30pm, every half an hour and it’s advisable to book ahead.

2. Cann Woods ( East side of Plymouth) Safari & Skills Tour

Segway experience devon.

We will start your session with full one to one training and make sure you are confident.

This Tour is ideal for beginners of all ages (10+) and will take you miles around the trails and on off road tracks at Cann Woods to take in various viewpoints as you zoom round the forest.

Then back to have a go at the fully enclosed dedicated course to test out your Segway abilities. (full training included )

Terms and conditions:

We reserve the right to cancel tours at short notice if we consider the weather or conditions to be inappropriate or unsafe. Remember to dress accordingly for the weather conditions on the day. Long sleeves, trousers & Secure footwear should be worn (trainers, light walking boots etc) gloves are suggested for the colder months. All riders are required to wear safety helmets which will be provided. However you can bring your own if you prefer.

Riders must be at least 10 years old, any medical conditions/disabilities to be disclosed at booking, Weight restrictions do apply (see safety page on website)

A parent or legal guardian must sign a consent form for riders aged from 10 to 18 and accompany them on the same tour they have signed given authorisation for.   No refunds or extentions will be given on any vouchers. We are open throughout the summer however some sites do close for winter, but could be made available if demand is high enough (weather permitting). Call for info.

Please bring this voucher with you on the day of your tour, or unfortunately you won’t be able to ride.

Whatta awesome day! Was a birthday day out. The training was thorough and precise. Safety first which was great. COVID sanitisation of equipment and bubbles worked perfectly. The guys down there pride them self’s on a fun and adventurous tour. Which it delivered!! So close to Plymouth/Plympton too which I didn’t even realise. Best Segway track out there and I’ve been on many! Great work guys! 🙌🏼

If you are looking for a fun day out with the family and adventurous way to explore the beautiful forest of Cann Wood in Devon, then you should try Cann Woods Segway. Cann Woods Segway is the only full forest Segway experience in Devon, offering four awesome tours to suit everybody. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, you will have a blast riding a Segway through the trails, hills and mud ruts of Cann Wood.

Cann Woods Segway is run by the same team that operates Go-Segway Haldon, which has been rated number one on Tripadvisor for 12 years. They have over 15 years of experience in the Segway business, and they know how to make your Segway adventure safe and enjoyable. They use genuine Segways X2 with full redundant safety features, and they provide training and helmets for all riders.

You can choose from the following tours:

– Standard Tour (£22 per person): This is the shortest tour, lasting up to 30 minutes. It includes mainly smooth surfaces and fire roads in the forest. It is ideal for those who want to try Segway for the first time or have limited time.

– Adventure Tour (£27 per person): This is the perfect tour for first-time Segwayers who want more. It lasts up to 60 minutes and includes a few hills to go up and down, mainly smooth surfaces and fire roads in the forest, and a little off-roading.

– Safari & Skills (£32 per person): This is the most popular tour, lasting up to 90 minutes. It involves the Adventure Tour, but continues down to more trails into the forest with mud ruts and then onto a skills area where you can show off your Segway skills. This is only available at Cann Woods and it is fun for friends and family.

– Segway Extreme Tour (£45 per person): This is the ultimate Segway challenge, lasting up to 3 hours. It is only available at Cann Woods and it is suitable for ages 16 and above. You will be taken out by an instructor with over 15 years of experience and explore more of the forest, including some steep hills, rough terrain and water crossings. This is not for the faint-hearted!

Cann Woods Segway is open all year round, from 10 am to 4 pm. You can book online in 2 minutes, either paying in full or just a 25% deposit (balance on the day). You can also buy gift vouchers for your loved ones. The minimum age for riding a Segway is 10 years old, and under 18s must be supervised by an adult. The weight limit is between 45 kg and 117 kg.

Cann Woods Segway is located in Cann Wood opposite the Woodside Sanctuary, at the top of Plympton on the east side of Plymouth. It has free parking and it is easy to access from the A38. You can also enjoy other activities in Cann Wood, such as walking, cycling, horse riding and picnicking.

Forest tour £28 (most popular and best value tour)  This tour is ideal for beginners and will take you around the trails at Haldon Forest Park for almost 3 miles, taking in the Bird of Prey viewpoint.Tour lasts approximately 40 minutes (full training)

Segway Safari £35 (OVER 12’s ONLY)  This tour has a steep hill and covers nearly 5 miles,on this tour, you get to do what the Segway was designed for, you need to keep your wits about you and read the trail ahead! You will be powering your Segway  ®  around the trail, look out for tree stumps and squirrels as this one is challenging! Experience lasts approximately 1 hour (full training)

Segway  ®  Tours are available to everyone over 35 kg (5  stone 4 pounds) and under 127 kg (20 stone), plus riders must be over 135cm (4ft 5″) 54″ and under 201cm (6ft 7″) Safari Corporate block bookings please call for prices and numbers.
