The Margins Café serves delicious, freshly prepared food at gigs and events.  All profits go towards  The Margins Project , based here at the Chapel which works with people who face issues of homelessness and crisis.

The venue is seating only. All seats are unreserved and are taken on a first come first serve basis. Please arrive early before event door times if you have preferred seats. Due to the nature of our venue, please be prepared to queue for entry.

The venue is fully accessible, with use of ramps and the upstairs bar is accessible with use of a platform lift. Please email  [email protected]  with your accessibility requirements as soon as you purchase your ticket.

The bar is located on the first floor of the venue and will be open from the stated door time and remain open after the show.

Alcohol consumption will be limited to the bar area only, it is not permitted to take alcohol to the main chapel space.  An array of soft drinks and snacks will also be available and are permitted in the main space. (Please note, no food or drink may be brought from outside into the venue. Water bottles must be emptied before entering the venue, with refilling stations available inside).

Sam Garrett is an English singer-songwriter whose music highlights his spiritual journey exploring Eastern philosophy, meditation, yoga and Rastafari wisdom. Sam’s music uplifts and inspires the hearts and souls of people all over the world. His latest album is 'Forward to Zion'.

Growing up in a musical family, Sam’s father would play a diverse range of records from artists such as Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, and Stevie Wonder. In Sam’s most formative years, his father took him to all different kinds of concerts on a regular basis. Sam was deeply inspired by his eclectic exposure to music and curious about the creative path of artistry. By the age of 12, Sam had formed his first band and went on to play in the UK scene for some years before going solo. Sam eventually came to meet his spiritual teacher, Mooji Baba, in Portugal. Meeting and deeply connecting with Mooji was an incredibly impactful part of Sam’s path. While living and studying at Mooji’s ashram ‘Monte Sahaja’, Sam would often partake in the contemplative practice of Satsang as one of the attending musicians. The 2019 single ʻLight of Your Graceʻ and 2021 album ʻRoot Down Deepʻ co-created with fellow spiritual sojourner Mollie Monedoza was born from this chapter, and after experiencing the effervescence of life in Portugal, Sam decided to move there. Mooji’s teachings continue to have a profound effect on Sam’s life, which can be found woven throughout the message and essence of his music. Sam’s music is a reflection of his life’s journey thus far, and as his life continues to unfold, his eclectic library of inspirited sounds continue to expand.

During the pandemic Sam connected to Rastafari wisdom and livity, a connection that has always had a deep place in Sam’s heart. He was inspired by the teachings and example of Haile Selassie and the spirit of Rastafari, which gave solace and comfort during these difficult times. Songs started to come through and an album was taking shape inspired by a call for deeper introspection and unity in a time of separation and division. His new album ‘Forward to Zion’ album is released in 2023.

Stand aside, Prince Harry, and move over Benedict Cumberbatch. Because the man who recently claimed he was too “unfit and fat and old” to continue filming the Grand Tour has been crowned the UK’s and Ireland’s sexiest man. Yes, Jeremy Clarkson has taken home the title for the second year running.

The annual poll was carried out by IllicitEncounters, a site that prides itself as ‘the best online dating site for married people’. Ahem. But, regardless of the awarding body, the 64-year-old journalist, writer, and presenter still had to fight off some fierce competition from the likes of Idris Elba, Cillian Murphey, and Tom Holland, who were top names but a few.

Holland himself managed to clinch a second spot on the poll, but even the web-slinger himself couldn’t dislodge the automotive journalist-cum-farmer. 2,000 of the website’s female members voted in the poll, who had a 50-strong lineup of culturally relevant names to choose from.

Having been best known for hosting Top Gear before fronting Amazon’s The Grand Tour , the automotive journalist has most recently turned his hand to farming. The latest seasons of Clarkson’s Farm very likely swayed the vote somewhat, with viewers able to see a softer side of the presenter. Once known (and loved) for his outspoken personality and straight-talking assessment of cars, Clarkson is now highlighting very real issues faced by Farmers across the UK.

Jeremy Clarkson himself touched on the accolade, albeit briefly, in his column for The Times , saying, “Yes, I realize that I’m seen by many to be the sexiest man alive, but underneath the muddy tweed coats, I am something of a porker.”
