Post Malone’s “F-1 Trillion” Tour: A Night in Noblesville Indiana. Review and photos

The Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana, was electrified with anticipation as fans gathered to witness Post Malone’s “F-1 Trillion” tour. Known for his genre-blending music, Post Malone has carved a unique space in the industry, and his latest venture into country music has been nothing short of audacious.

Austin Richard Post, better known as Post Malone, has been a force to reckon with since his debut single “White Iverson” hit the airwaves. Born on July 4, 1995, in Syracuse, New York, and raised in Grapevine, Texas, Malone’s music is a cocktail of pop, hip-hop, rap, and rock, seasoned with introspective songwriting and a laconic vocal style. His accolades are impressive, boasting ten Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards, and a recent win at the MTV Video Music Awards for Best Collaboration with Taylor Swift.

The evening kicked off with the two opening acts, each bringing their own flavor to the stage. The first, Dan Spencer & Smallman, I can’t find anything about them. They were only allowed to do five quick songs, but they played with passion.

Next up, Muscadine Bloodline, a band that has been making waves in the country music scene, is a duo that hails from Mobile, Alabama. Comprised of Gary Stanton and Charlie Muncaster, the band started in early 2016 and quickly gained attention for their unique blend of southern rock and contemporary country sounds. Their music is a testament to their Southern roots, with Muscadine grapes being native to the South and ‘Bloodline’ representing their heritage.

The band’s journey began with a strong start, earning a standing ovation at their Grand Ole Opry debut in 2018. This was a significant milestone, reflecting the duo’s ability to connect with audiences through their authentic and heartfelt performances. Their reputation for high-energy live experiences has led them to sell out shows across the country, and they have opened concerts for hundreds of artists, including this one, the notable Post Malone during his F-1 Trillion Tour stop in Noblesville, tonight.

post malone tour yesterday

Their discography includes three acclaimed albums, with songs that range from the anthemic “WD-40” to the introspective “Movin’ On.” Each track showcases their ability to craft captivating hooks and stories that resonate with fans. Muscadine Bloodline’s music is characterized by Charlie’s contemporary vocals, complemented by Gary’s harmonies and masterful guitar licks.

Highlights included asking “Everyone to turn their cellphone lights on” waving and singing as they performed Porch Swing Angel just prior to sunset. Audience responded to the band’s high energy by singing along and responding with shouts and loud burst of laughter when the band interjected “Indiana” in the lyrics of several of their songs.

Intermission dragged on a little bit, with Malone taking the stage about 10 minutes late, but it only seemed to build the excitement.

As the lights dimmed, the excitement was extreme. Post Malone took the stage with the charisma and confidence of a seasoned performer. His setlist was a mix of old favorites and tracks from his latest “country” album, “F-1 Trillion.” The album, a departure from his previous work, has been praised for its polished production and catchy hooks, particularly the standout track “Guy For That,” a duet with Luke Combs. He’s done songs with Chris Stapleton, and most recently, Dwight Yoakum.

The concert was a showcase of Malone’s versatility as an artist. He effortlessly transitioned from his signature rap-infused tracks to the more melodic, country-inspired songs from “F-1 Trillion.” The album itself has been hailed as one of the best country albums this decade, a testament to Malone’s ability to cross genres and appeal to a broad audience.

post malone tour yesterday

The production of the concert was a spectacle, with stunning visuals and pyrotechnics complementing the performances. Malone’s stage presence was magnetic, engaging the audience with every lyric and chord. Endearing to the crowd were his hand gestures of a heart, patting his heart and illumination of the heart spotlight throughout the show. He clearly is in his happy place. And, the stage was literally on fire!

post malone tour yesterday

The highlight of the night was his acoustic rendition of “Pour Me a Drink,” a track that encapsulates the heart and soul of his foray into country music.

post malone tour yesterday

Post Malone’s concert in Noblesville demonstrated his ability to blend genres and connect with fans across musical boundaries. The “F-1 Trillion” tour seems to mark the successful fusion of hip-hop swagger with country soul. For those of us who have followed Malone’s career, tonight was an amazing show.

Country music’s newest superstar brought his ' F-1 Trillion Tour ' to the Pine Tree State on Monday, September 16th.

WQCB Brewer Maine logo

Post Malone brought his ‘ F-1 Trillion Tour ’ to the Bangor Waterfront on Monday. The tour, announced late in the summer concert announcement season, supports his country debut album ‘ F-1 Trillion ,’ released on August 16th, 2024. Fans packed the Maine Savings Amphitheater to see the genre-blending artist.

Post Malone's debut country album, F-1 Trillion, is packed with star power.

While Post Malone is already one of the biggest names in music, he brings in even more talent from country stars like Luke Combs , Morgan Wallen , Jelly Roll , and Lainey Wilson . The album also features legends like Dolly Parton , Chris Stapleton , and Blake Shelton , among others. It's clear that Post Malone wanted to do country music justice with this project.

Post Malone closed out Bangor’s summer concert season with an unforgettable performance.

The season kicked off in May with country star Parker McCollum , making it fitting to end with another act beloved by blue-collar country fans just weeks after Labor Day . Post Malone delivered an incredible show, proving why he’s one of the top performers in music today. It’s no surprise that his concert was one of the most sought-after tickets of the year—Posty knows how to leave a crowd wanting more. And the folks here in Maine certainly wanted more .

For this tour, Post Malone brought along two up-and-coming acts in country music, Dan Spencer and the group Muscadine Bloodline, to help warm up the crowd.

However, with all the excitement surrounding the show, there wasn’t much ' warming up ' needed. Still, the crowd appreciated the energy and talent that Dan Spencer and Muscadine Bloodline brought to the Waterfront.

Post Malone is a superstar, not just in country music, but across all genres.

He put on an incredible show, performing his new country hits from his latest album and mixing in some of his biggest classics. The Bangor crowd, known for loving country music, appreciated the blend. They especially got loud for his pop and hip-hop hits like ‘ Circles ,’ ‘ White Iverson ,’ and ‘ Sunflower .’

Bangor won’t forget Post Malone’s ‘F-1 Trillion Tour’ anytime soon.

After his stop here, he's heading to Fenway Park in Boston , reminding us how lucky we are to have such a top-notch venue in the Queen City of the East .

Post Malone Kicks Off F-1Trillion Tour with Live Debuts of ‘Guy For That’, ‘Two Hearts’ and More in Salt Lake City, Utah

Post Malone has launched his 2024 F-1Trillion tour in his adopted home-state of Utah, with an electric, hit-filled set that drew generously from his expansive, eclectic discography.

Excitingly, the setlist was dominated by country material taken from Post Malone's debut album in the genre, F-1Trillion , which arrived in August and surged to the top of the Billboard 200. Donning his signature dark-blue Dallas Cowboys jersey and striding across the stage barefoot, Posty was his ebullient self on Sunday night.

During his high-energy performance, the packed-out Salt Lake City crowd were treated to live debuts of Posty's infectious Luke Combs collaboration, ‘ Guy For That ’, and two stand-outs from the F-1Trillion: Long Bed deluxe, ‘ Fallin’ in Love ’ and ‘ Two Hearts ’.

Although not featuring one of the many blockbuster guests peppered throughout the main body of F-1Trillion , ‘Two Hearts’ has blossomed into a beloved fan-favourite. It's an intricate and deftly navigated reflection on the aftermath of a bitter divorce, with Posty's gentle vibrato accentuating the emotion laced into the lyrics.

Accompanied by his newly put together backing band, The Fools For You, consisting of a mix of Nashvillian virtuosos and members from ERNEST's touring band, Post Malone opened his sprawling set with swaggering renditions of ‘ Wrong Ones ’ and ‘ Finer Things ’, two of the rowdier, rock-infused offerings from F-1Trillion .

Attendees in Salt Lake City, who were also able to enjoy opening sets from Muscadine Bloodline and Dan Spencer, were curious as to whether Post Malone's F-1Trillion tour setlist would entirely comprise tracks from his new country album, or whether he would sprinkle in a handful of his older, rap-leaning hits into the mix.

Although we love Country Post, the bearded crooner possesses an unrivalled catalogue of fiery rap smashes, and ticket-holders were glad to see the New York native incorporating Diamond singles such as ‘Circles’, ‘Congratulations’ and ‘Rockstar’ into his set.

[object Object]

As he jubilantly danced his way through his 24-song set, Post Malone reinforced the refreshing feeling that he seems happier than ever, with Posty taking a moment out during his performance to offer his warm, trademark words of encouragement to those in the audience that might be struggling with their mental health.

For his intimate, soul-baring ballad, ‘Stay’, Post Malone consolidated the endearing ambience that always pervades his performances by heartwarmingly inviting a fan on-stage - Jackson - to live out his dream of playing guitar alongside him.

One of the most raucous responses of the night arrived as Post Malone kicked off his 2024 Morgan Wallen collaboration, ‘ I Had Some Help ’, which today earned Posty his first ever CMA Awards nominations ahead of the November 20th ceremony .

Concluding with a countrified take on his most popular hit to date, ‘Sunflower’ - the only song in history to be certified Double-Diamond - one of the best things about Post Malone's spellbinding 2024 F-1Trillion tour-opener was that we get to do it all over again on Tuesday, when Posty returns to the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre. The double-header has been confirmed as the venue's highest-grossing shows ever, and after Posty's opening performance, it's not hard to see why.

Post Malone got the Phoenix Open party started with a hit-filled Concert in the Coliseum

Portrait of Ed Masley

Post Malone was two songs deep in a hit-filled 90-minute set on the iconic 16th hole at the Phoenix Open's Concert in the Coliseum , having set the tone with "Better Now" and "Wow.," when he took a moment to address the crowd in his leopard-spot short shorts and a T-shirt.

"Happy Early Valentine's Day, ladies and gentlemen," he began in a crowd-pleasing monologue, going on to joke about having beaten Tiger Woods on that same course, acknowledge the fact that "it is (expletive) cold" and tell the fans, "I hope everybody is having half the fun that I am tonight."

It's doubtful many people anywhere in this entire world were having half the fun Malone was having in the course of that performance, throwing his entire body into the proceedings, eventually losing the T-shirt and frequently taking a drink from the trusty Red Solo Cup he balanced on his head at one point.

The concert Saturday, Feb. 3, appears to be Malone's first time on stage since New Year's Eve. And he was clearly in the mood to reconnect with fans as he made his way through any number of his biggest hits, including all four songs he's taken to the top on Billboard's Hot 100 — "Psycho," "I Fall Apart," "Circles" and "Sunflower," the last of which he introduced with "This song just went 20 times platinum."

Justin Timberlake's comeback tour: Everything to know about the concert coming to Phoenix

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

He's a genre-defiant enigma whose music draws on everything from R&B and hip-hop to acoustic folk and heavy metal.

Highlights ranged from a suitably brooding rendition of "Mourning" to the deeply soulful, acoustic-guitar-driven folk of "Feeling Whitney" (one of several highlights that benefited greatly from the fact that his touring band includes to violinists and two cellists) to the cacophonous crescendo that underscored the raw emotion of "Too Young."

He didn't sing "America the Beautiful." That's next week at the Super Bowl.

Malone remains an entertaining presence, making a heart sign above his head on "Better Now," joking more than once about the spinning stage ("I'm not even that drunk but the world is (expletive) spinning right now"), pointing out "This is the closest I'll get to having people watch me play golf" and frequently underselling the strength of his catalog with self-effacing humor.

After bringing the set to a crowd-pleasing climax with "White Iverson," he introduced "Congratulations" with "I have, like, three good ones. This one's one of 'em."

Post Malone dedicated an emotional 'Too Young' to his baby girl

But for all the fun he appeared to be having, half the reason he's been able to connect to fans the way he has is that he so often speaks to the human condition in moments as vulnerable as "Too Young," with its chorus of "I don't wanna die too young."

He introduced that song at TPC Scottsdale with "I have a beautiful baby girl. She's almost two. And this song hits a little bit more harder now."

He saved his most impassioned speech for the end of the night, as he was setting up "Congratulations," noting that he's 28 now and a decade deep in this career.

After thanking the fans for their support, he told them, "Whatever you wanted to do in this (expletive) life and this (expletive) world, do it the best that you (expletive) can and do it your (expletive) way."

He's certainly taken that advice to heart. And look. He made it.

Ernest had the Post Malone crowd in his corner at the Phoenix Open

Most people wouldn't necessarily think to have a country singer open for a guy like Post Malone, but Ernest had the crowd that packed the Concert in the Coliseum in his corner from the time he hit the stage in his Arizona Coyotes cap and set the tone for his performance with the hardcore honky-tonk of "This Fire."

He had the crowd singing along with the pedal steel guitar-driven "Drunk with My Friends" ("I got drunk drunk drunk with my friends"), covered one of country music's hardest-hitting ballads (the George Jones classic "He Stopped Loving Her Today") and introduced his breakthrough single, "Flower Shops," with "It proved to me that traditional country music is alive and well."

And if you're looking to prove that traditional country music is alive and well, it doesn't hurt that "Flower Shops" includes a guest appearance by the biggest-selling country artist of the decade, Morgan Wallen.

He and Wallen have co-written several highlights of those last two Wallen albums, from "Somebody's Problem" to "Cowgirls" and "Wasted on You," and Ernest made sure to include those in a set that played to his considerable strengths as both a singer and a songwriter.

Post Malone brings Fenway Park’s concert season to a close with a fiery country show

Post Malone performed at Fenway Park on Wednesday night.

What happened at Post Malone’s Fenway Park show Wednesday night would have felt like a fever dream just a few years ago.

Imagine the rapper, barefoot with sweat dripping down his tattooed face, howling the chorus of his 2017 smash “rockstar” so intensely that he could be fronting a hardcore band. Now take that scene and deep fry it in all things country. In lieu of trap instrumentals, there were notes of pedal steel and fiddle encircled surges of bass, while thousands of fans in cowboy boots and Stetson hats hollered along, many already wearing tour merchandise covered with images of horses and pickup trucks.

Post Malone performed at Fenway Park on Wednesday night.

Somehow, this is the same Post Malone who broke into the mainstream with the drowsy rap tune “White Iverson” almost a decade ago, and then doubled down on his hip-hop career with vibrating trap earworms like “Congratulations,” “Candy Paint,” and “Better Now.” And somehow, reimagining those hits with a touch of twang effectively matched the tone of his recent country record “F-1 Trillion” at the Boston stop of his US tour.

Malone closed Fenway’s 2024 concert season with an unapologetic two-hour embrace of his current chapter in country music. Last night’s performance proved his place in the genre — co-signed by two guest artists — even if he’s more of his “own thing” than a figurehead for any one musical style. Keep in mind, the guy also hopped on an ethereal pop number with Taylor Swift this year, although “Fortnight” unsurprisingly didn’t make the cut.

Post Malone performed at Fenway Park on Wednesday night.

Instead, Malone largely devoted the evening to revving his “F-1 Trillion” tracks, uncorking a whiskey-smooth flow of storytelling and troped-up Western toe-tappers. Malone can be serious when he needs to be; his performance of “Yours,” a song imagining his daughter’s future wedding day, positioned him as a tender father and balladeer. Duets with special guests ERNEST (“Devil I’ve Been”) and HARDY (“Hide My Gun”) affirmed his ability to evoke the same caliber of authenticity as both Southern singer-songwriters.

But flying solo, Malone was a true country charmer, his charisma igniting the pining love song/warning “Go To Hell,” or spurring on a saga like “M-E-X-I-C-O,” which finds the narrator fleeing the US after a string of rapid-fire romances. Dialing up the concert’s drama was a series of impeccably-timed pyrotechnics, some that aligned with the music note for note, but all of which drew the attention of unsuspecting Fenway-Kenmore residents.

Post Malone performed at Fenway Park on Wednesday night.

“I’ve got a thang for the finer things,” Malone drawled on “Finer Things” in a seamless overlap with a sudden crackle of fireworks, like an opportune brag. During the encore, when Malone tended to his Swae Lee collaboration “Sunflower” (which appeared on the “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” soundtrack), his team set off so many fireworks that it looked like a proper holiday.

Post Malone performed at Fenway Park on Wednesday night.

And to an extent, it was. As a venue, Fenway Park remains the Boston base for many touring country acts, recently attracting the likes of Zac Brown Band , Kane Brown , Morgan Wallen , and now, Post Malone. Love or hate his current musical direction, Malone has secured his spot among that company.

Last night may have been Post Malone’s first rodeo at Fenway Park, but it likely won’t be his last.

Post Malone Took Times Square By Storm To Surprise Fans With A Special Live Show Of His Biggest Hits

Lexi Lane

Yesterday, Post Malone surprised Times Square passersby by doing a free performance — the first person to play on the TSX Stage around dinnertime. Malone kicked off the set by playing his recent song, “ Overdrive ,” and shared some words with those who stopped to watch.

“I’m so happy the rain cleared up so we can hang out, ladies and gentlemen,” Malone said. “I just wanted to say to everybody who came to hang out I’m so grateful and so very honored to be kicking this off. This is the coolest venue in the f*cking universe. I’m super nervous and super happy you guys came out.”

“I’m the first guy to do this, and I was super terrified because I know everyone has a busy day and a busy schedule,” he added. “I have a new album coming out later this month and I’m super excited to play you something off the new record that hasn’t been released yet. Hopefully, I don’t f*ck it up.”

He went on to play “Everything Is Enough,” according to Billboard , which will be on his upcoming album, Austin . During the rest of the performance, Malone treated the crowd to his other hits, like “Rockstar” and “Congratulations.”

Malone was also spotted holding his special collaborative cup with Raising Canes (a chicken chain restaurant), who also recently opened up a flagship store in Times Square.

Born Austin Richard Post, Post Malone is an American rap artist, singer, and songwriter. He is most recognized for his vocal vibrato, as well as his ability to blend multiple musical genres including hip-hop, pop, R&B, rap, and trap.

At a young age, Malone became interested in the music of Bob Dylan, and he often cites Dylan as one of his biggest musical influences. The heavily tattooed Malone sports a tattoo of Dylan in honor of the musician's profound impact. He also credits Kurt Cobain, Johnny Cash, Key!, 50 Cent, and Kanye West as influences.

Malone’s interest in music began early. His father, who worked as a DJ for a time, introduced Malone to many different styles of music while he was growing up. He was inspired to learn the guitar at the age of 14 after watching someone play the video game Guitar Hero. While still in high school, he created a mixtape titled Young and After Them Riches.

Malone's career began in early 2011 and initially gained national attention with the 2015 release of his first single, "White Iverson." The song soared up the charts, climbing to number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100. After the release of "White Iverson," Malone landed a recording contract with Republic Records in 2015.

His first album Stoney debuted in 2016. The RIAA diamond-certified single "Congratulations," featuring Quavo, was included on the album. The song is one of Malone's most successful recordings, setting a record for most weeks on the US Billboard Top R&B and Hip-Hop Albums charts.

His sophomore album, Beerbongs & Bentleys, debuted in 2018 at number one on the US Billboard 200 and broke multiple streaming records. The album also contained two number-one hit singles: "Rockstar," featuring 21 Savage, and "Psycho," featuring Ty Dolla Sign. Beerbongs & Bentleys was nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards.

His third number-one hit, "Sunflower," with Swae Lee, was the lead single for the movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack in 2018. The song also appeared on Malone's third album, Hollywood's Bleeding, which was released in 2019. The album became Malone's second number-one smash. The second single from the album was "Circles," which also reached number one.

The fourth album, Twelve Carat Toothache, dropped in June 2022 and featured two US top-ten singles: "I Like You (A Happier Song)" with Doja Cat and "One Right Now" with The Weeknd.

Malone has won numerous awards, including Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards. Additionally, he's been nominated for nine Grammy Awards. He is among the best-selling contemporary music artists in the US, boasting nearly 80 million record sales.

The documentary Runaway features behind-the-scenes footage from Malone's 2019 Runaway Tour and performances from the tour's New York City and Chicago sets.

Following the release of Twelve Carat Toothache, Malone embarked on a 33-city North American tour to promote the album. Featuring Roddy Ricch, the tour continued through November 2022.

Live reviews

There were two different aspects of the concert. The crowd, and Post Malone himself. I am so disappointed in the everyone around me in the crowd. Over 20 people had to be pulled out because they had passed out because of alcohol, other substances, or being overcrowded or trampled. A boy had to be pulled out because his arm was snapped in half. I was almost pulled out because I felt like my ribs were going to break because of the pressure when people pushed forward. People kept pushing to the front, causing pain to everyone there, and they were rude while they did it. My friend and I lost our other friend and when we texted her she told us that a man tried to take her out of the venue. She needed help but we couldn't reach her. Again, the crowd was absolutely terrible.

Post Malone himself did not come out until 40 minutes after he was supposed to because not everyone was in the venue. Him being late added to the frustration and pain I felt being slammed against the gate and squished between rude concert goers. Once he came on, the pushing and shoving did not cease but he was a great performer. I am glad I did not get pulled out. Although it was extremely painful he performed beautifully and it was 100% worth the pain.

I love Post Malone. Sadly his fans were such awful people we had to leave before he even came on. People were being crushed during the concert, people were passing out left and right and many people could barely breath. The fans were complete assholes about it to. People were shoving their way to the front (with people in the back already pushing you in so you can't back up) when there is absolutely no room to do so and then when you call them out and tell them there is no room they need to go back to the back they yell at you, cuss you out and then make fun of you. I personally saw at least 5 people pass out and as we left in disgust of the crowds behavior in the middle of the show we saw two ambulances in the back alley behind the venue helping several people who needed medical attention. I saw another review of his concert saying the same things. They even mentioned a guy broke his arm from being crushed and trampled. No matter how much I love Post Malone I wouldn't attend another of his concerts even if it were free.

I seen him yesterday 6/31/15 in Boston. I had front row stance. I was leaning on the sliver bench, any who. He was an amazing preformer. He gave us a great show hands down. Interactive with the crowd, dancing, usage of the whole stage ect.

My down side unfortunately is that we spent more time waiting for him to preform than actually seeing him preform. As a fan, I expected the show not to last too long seeing as he is a blooming artist and all his songs got leaked, we knew what songs to expect. (He did forget to preform 'Holyfield') Back to the point, all in all, 3 hours wait for less than an hr performance. Not to mention a point in time we asked security to please move to the side so we can see he just shrugged his shoulders. I understand he has a job to do but we also paid to see post Malone and not the back of his shirt.

Again, I loved his performance all in all. Can't wait til he's performing for thousands in a venues that's not a church lol

The show itself was fantastic, but the venue was not that great. There was paid parking which was cheapest at 40 dollars. Leaving the venue was chaos as the streets were blocked off and traffic was at a standstill for a solid hour and a half (not exaggerating). Then there was the usual stuff with small restrooms (plus portapotties) and overpriced water down alcohol (20 for a small drink and 5 for water). I would not recommend this venue to anyone (Lakewood amp Cellairis). This is my second show at this venue and it seems to have gone downhill rapidly over a few years due to greed.

Venue aside this was a great performance by 21 Savage and Post Malone (I missed the opener due to issues of finding parking somewhere that wasn’t extremely overpriced).

It was the best experience i've ever had. The show started with a dj after a short time a upcommimg star came. He made the fans go off. After an hour of performing, there was a break. Everyone was exited for Post Malone, but an other rapper came up. There wasnt much people who were excited to see him and the crowd has lost all patience. We wanted to see Post Malone!

So half an hour of just chillimg, the lights turned off. We heard the start of "Broken Whsikey Glass" and every one flipped out.

The man himself, Post Malone came out. I was so happy i had to jump. All of his songs were good but there were even better when its live performed. I will never forget this event and im happy that this was my very first comcert.

Amazing performer. I didn't know what to expect since this was the first time I went to one of his concerts. I went for 21 savage but I knew some of his songs and I was excited. I can say that at the end of the concert he was MUCh more entertaining than 21. He was charismatic but calm. He had this happy and serious feeling and it was so chill but hype at the same time. it felt really personal when he pointed out people in the crowd, sang songs to us and performed his heart out. I definitely want to see him again now that I'm more familiar and know more of his songs.

Hello Austin, I just want to say that Chaz & I truly enjoyed getting to see your show and visit with you afterwards. Miles have kept us apart and from getting to knowing each other better, but see that your musical ventures in your life have created a very young talented and unique individual in its own right. I have watched you grow into the person you are today and hope you continue to strive in our journey to the top. Chaz and I would love to see you again when you are in the area...and God Bless!! Love, your Aunt Kim and Cousin Chaz.

It was probably one of the best nights of my life. He was so enthusiastic about the crowd, he loved our energy, said he wanted us to come on tour with him haha. But seriously I had an amazing time, I sat front row so I got to see my hero literally right in front of me AND he told me he loved me (which I got on record) as well as at the end of the concert he jumped off the railing into the crowd and I got to hug him, so yeah I’d say it was a pretty memorable night, I definitely know I’m gonna go to another one of his concerts again .

honey-rose-1’s profile image

While Post didn't disappoint, he probably didn't excite as much as he should. His set, although filled with great tracks, was a tad short for my liking. His on stage presence felt a little boring at times, and failed to really make much of a connection with the crowd at all. It just felt like he wanted to play his songs and get the hell out.

Not a bad show, but also given how much people were spending to see this guy, you'd figure'd there be something more. Maybe he's just tired though, which in that case, I wish him some rest.

The show was incredible!! Everything was lit and pumped got the crowd hyped and engaging!! Every single person who preformed was great and Posty was AMAZING live wow!

However, the pauses in between the artists really killed the vibe!! Next time don’t have too long pauses inbetween people will just have to wait to go to the bathrooms/buy drinks. Or at least make sure something is entertaining meanwhile (just having a DJ playing or the cool light show or something)

Post Malone says world’s best Italian restaurant is in Central New York

Post Malone at Empower FCU Amphitheater

Syracuse native Post Malone performs at the Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview on Saturday September 14, 2024, in Geddes, N.Y. (Scott Schild |[email protected]) Scott Schild | [email protected]

Post Malone has performed all over the world, from the Super Bowl and “Saturday Night Live” in North America to concerts in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and South America. But nothing beats the food in his first home: Central New York.

The Grammy-nominated singer and rapper, who was born Austin Richard Post in Syracuse, N.Y., and lived in Baldwinsville until he was 10 years old, returned to his hometown over the weekend to perform a sold-out concert at the Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview. It was his first concert in the Salt City since a 2015 performance at Syracuse University, before he became globally famous as “Post Malone.”

“I just wanted to say how f---ing grateful and honored I am to be back in this f---ing amazing town, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you so very much,” Posty told the crowd Saturday night. “From Baldwinsville, we went around the world f---ing twice.”

While in town, Malone made headlines when he stopped at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que for some pre-show BBQ. He told local radio station TK99 (WTKW, 99.5/105. FM) that he also got some of Tully’s famous chicken tenders and saw family members that still live in the area, including in Sandy Pond, Rochester and Baldwinsville.

“Whenever I come up I make it a goal to try and see everybody,” he said in an interview with TK99 host Gomez , days after the Syracuse concert. “It’s just a big family.”

If he could’ve stayed longer, he would’ve gone to one more local restaurant: Canale’s in Oswego.

“I really want to make a trip out to Canale’s and go eat (there) because that’s like my favorite Italian restaurant in the world,” Malone said. “I would dare to say it’s better than Olive Garden.”

Posty famously visited Olive Garden for an episode of “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon in 2018, schooling the late-night host on how to eat breadsticks with extra butter. But the compliment to Canale’s is even more impressive when you consider that Malone has been to Italy: He performed in Rome in 2022.

Canale’s , a family-owned restaurant that originated with Anna “Ma” Canale recipes that originated in Morolo, Italy, said it was “honored” to get the shoutout from Malone.

“We would love to have you come visit us soon!” the restaurant’s official Facebook page said .

Malone may get a chance to visit CNY again soon when he returns to Upstate New York for a Monday, Sept. 23, concert at the Broadview Stage at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) in Saratoga Springs. Tickets are still available via Live Nation , VividSeats and StubHub .

Malone is one of the biggest music stars of the past decade thanks to hits like “ Circles ,” “Better Now,” “Rockstar,” “White Iverson,” “Psycho,” “I Fall Apart,” “Chemical,” “Sunflower” and “I Like You (A Happier Song).” He’s also collaborated with big names like Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Tiesto, Lil Wayne, Noah Kahan, DJ Khaled, and Ozzy Osbourne — plus recently launched a country era with songs featuring Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs and Dolly Parton.

The wide range of styles and influences isn’t surprising to Malone’s father, Rich Post, who told syracuse.com he exposed his son to a large variety of music when he worked as a disc jockey for CNY weddings with Whirlin’ Disc DJs. They moved to Texas when Malone was 10 because Rich was offered a job working for the Dallas Cowboys; Malone now lives in Utah, and the family still owns a house in Baldwinsville.

Malone told TK99 that he’s thinking about getting his own place in Central New York.

“I was thinking about getting a spot out here, just to spend some time, man. The air just smells so good and it’s just a beautiful place to be,” Malone said.

Metallica to play Syracuse concert for first time in nearly 30 years Sep. 19, 2024, 6:09 a.m.

Post Malone calls Syracuse an ‘amazing f***ing town’ during sold-out homecoming concert (review, photos) Sep. 15, 2024, 2:00 a.m.

Well, that would certainly give him a chance to get Canale’s, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Tully’s and all the other fun restaurants in Central New York anytime he wants. When he’s not busy, of course, being a dad himself (with a 2-year-old daughter) or an internationally famous musician who’s also appeared in movies (like “Road House”), major TV commercials (Bud Light), launching a professional beer pong league and promoting his own lines of rosé wine (Maison No. 9), clothing (Trading Post Apparel), and Crocs.

“Thanks for having me home, ladies and gentlemen,” Malone told the Syracuse amphitheater crowd on Saturday.
