Fred Durst, Limp Bizkit

Limp Bizkit announced that they will be bringing their “ Dad Vibes ” all across North America this spring with the for the “Still Sucks” tour . The Fred Durst-led nu-metal group that was forced to scotch a string of planned 2021 dates due to the then-raging COVID-19 pandemic, will kick off the AEG Presents outing on April 28 in their home state at the Hard Rock Live in Tampa, Florida, before making their way to Atlantic City, New York, Green Bay, Las Vegas and Reno before wrapping things up on May 31 in Ontario, Canada.

They will be joined a a handful of support acts on the 19-date outing, including $not, Wargasm UK, Scowl, Yung Gravy and Dying Wish. The band returned to our ears in September with their first new song in almost 7 years, “Dad Vibes,” a bouncy rap-rock track about fierce fathers that they debuted during their Lollapalooza set last summer.

Bizkit  signed with AGI for North American tour representation in 2021 after announcing that they were canceling all the remaining 2021 shows on their “Post Pandemic Popup Party” tour, with Durst explaining to Billboard  in an e-mail: “”In short, the system is still very flawed. Even if the performers, crews, staff, and promoters do their best to ensure safety on and behind the stage, that doesn’t ensure the safety of the audience as a whole. We are all in this together, and we all — individually and as a whole — have to make our best efforts to be as responsible and proactive as possible moving forward to combat and stop spreading COVID.”

According to a press release, the group will follow the spring dates with more U.S. shows and a European swing later this year. LB dropped their sixth album, Still Sucks , in Oct. 2021, with lead single “Vibes” opening at No. 38 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, their first appearance on the tally since “Almost Over” peaked at No. 33 in July 2004.

In  a three-star review  of Limp Bizkit’s ‘Still Sucks’, which includes comeback track  ‘Dad Vibes’ ,  NME ‘s Ali Shutler wrote: “As much as ‘Still Sucks’ is Limp Bizkit getting back to frat-boy business, there are a couple of surprises to be found.

“‘Barnacle’ is a moody moment of grunge that showcases their versatility, while ‘Pill Popper’ might be one of the most direct critiques of the American healthcare system this side of the millennium, as spoken word intro warns: ‘ The pharmaceutical industry does not create cures. They create customers’ .”

Limp Bizkit Kick Off US Tour with Fred Durst Sprawled Out on a Recliner: Video + Setlist

Limp Bizkit launched their Spring 2022 US tour on Thursday night (April 29th) in Tampa, Florida.

The set began with singer Fred Durst in full “Dad Vibes” mode. The frontman was lounging in a recliner chair onstage fidgeting with a remote control until the roars of the crowd and DJ Lethal kickstarted the evening. It was a truly fitting launch to the trek, with Durst performing the aforementioned 2021 single from the comfort of his Lay-Z-Boy.

The setlist started with four songs from Bizkit’s 2021 comeback album, Still Sucks , beginning with “Dad Vibes,” followed by “Out of Style,” “Dirty Rotten Bizkit,” and “Pill Popper.”

Of course, there were also performances of favorites like “Rollin’,” “My Generation,” “Nookie,” and “Break Stuff,” alongside a rendition of Ministry’s “Thieves” and Bizkit’s signature cover of George Michael’s “Faith.” Durst even invited a fan to perform vocals on the song “Full Nelson.”

Still Sucks  arrived on Halloween of last year, marking the nu-metal band’s first studio LP in 10 years.

Limp Bizkit Sent Us a Video Announcing Their Tour and We Can’t Share It

  • By Tomás Mier

It’s been so long since Limp Bizkit hit the road for a tour that they forgot how to announce one. On Wednesday, Limp Bizkit shared a video with Rolling Stone about their Still Sucks Tour, which starts April 28, but they only sent us a Dropbox link so we can’t share it. Allow us to describe it instead.

“OK, so like this is what Limp Bizkit looks like when they play live, so —” says Wes Borland, sporting a mid-life-crisis-dad-at-the-beach-with-his-kid-who-doesn’t-want-to-be-there look. “You mean the promoter would cut the video away and put live footage in?” enthusiastically responds Fred Durst — in a wannabe former cholo ‘fit — as the video literally shows clips of their performances. (Just imagine it.)

“What an outstanding performance. Camera moves in and out. Boom! There you go,” adds Borland. Then, the group’s logo comes on the screen before Durst cues the videomakers to “probably add music in, like, from the band,” before the words “Still Sucks Tour 2022” flash on the screen.

The tour is in promotion of their album  Still Suck s , which they dropped late last year. The LP featured the single “Dad Vibes,” made for “anyone who has found themselves descending frosted-tips-first into a pit of melancholy ” when hearing the band’s music. At least that’s how my editor described it.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Limp Bizkit (@limpbizkit)

The group posted about the tour on Instagram, but not Facebook. So if your dad likes the “Break Stuff” and “Take a Look Around” rap-rock band, give him a heads up.

Band Wargasm U.K. is joining them for the tour’s entirety, while $not and Scowl will open for the first 10 tour dates. Then, Yung Gravy and Dying Wish will play through their Colorado stop. For the last three shows, they’ll only be joined by Dying Wish and Wargasm U.K.

Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 AM.

Limp Bizkit Kick Off US Tour with Fred Durst Sprawled Out on a Recliner: Video + Setlist

The post Limp Bizkit Kick Off US Tour with Fred Durst Sprawled Out on a Recliner: Video + Setlist appeared first on Consequence .

Even though many say the Rap/Rock era of the mid to late 90’s was music of the muscle-head uncultured swine leading to believe it’s pseudo empowering awareness of a cross genre sound to really be superficial & misogynistic in it’s execution. I disagree & that is all depending on the individual. I also believe there are many musicians in that genre that haven’t gotten full credit for their musical talent.

One such band is Limp Bizkit. I had the pleasure to see them again in Saarbrücken on 13th of July. I saw them before in Frankfurt a few months ago & had such a great time that I couldn’t resist to see them again in an open air venue.

The weather brought an extra bonus to what was already to a fun & exciting event. They played the notable favorite songs in their catalog & as well as a brand new song from the upcoming album.

Their fan/audience interaction is nothing short but icing on the cake. Bringing on stage a young fan to experience a once in a life time up close & personal moment & to have another fan take the mic & letting him sing lead vocals on a song.

All this including a stellar performance. If you had to force me at gun point to try to find a flaw in the show. I would have to say I wish they would play some songs from their over looked album ‘The Unquestionable Truth’ I would of die if they played the song ‘The Story’ (in my opinion their best album. I recommend to give it a listen to if your a fan of Nu-Metal).

So even if your a So-So fan of Limp Bizkit check them out live you’ll enjoy it & if you are a fan & haven’t seen them at all I say “What the F**k is wrong with you, they kick ass live”. Nuff said m

Watch Limp Bizkit debut tracks from their new album at their first 2022 show

Nu metal heroes Limp Bizkit debut several songs from last year's Still Sucks album at their first gig of 2022

Limp Bizkit

Hey rockers, hip hoppers... Limp Bizkit performed their first show of 2022 last week, and the live footage has us totally pumped, and on a Monday morning, no less.

Taking to the stage on March 19 as part of the Vive Latino festival in Mexico City, MEX, the nu metal heroes served up a typically unruly performance, featuring a number of firsts.

For starters, it was the first time any audience got to hear several songs from their latest album, Still Sucks , which was released last year. Lucky Mexico. Secondly, frontman Fred Durst is seen with a brand new look. Showcasing an updated take on his 2021 makeover of lengthy light-coloured blonde hair and a handlebar moustache - no goatee or backwards baseball cap in sight - Durst is now rocking even longer hair and from a distance, he kind of looks like some sort of impressionistic Kurt Cobain wax figure, in a boiler suit.

Despite some technical difficulties, the band were on top form on the night, and fired off several tracks from Still Sucks , including Out Of Style, Dirty Rotten Bizkit and Dad Vibes . The Bizkit have shared live footage from the night, which you can watch below.

Fred Durst and co. are scheduled to hit the road this spring across the US, with $not,  Wargasm , Scowl, Dying Wish and Yung Gravy as special guests. Kicking off on April 28 in Tampa Florida, they'll be head to Hollywood, Norfolk, Roanoke, Atlanta City and more before wrapping up on May 31 in Ontario.
