About Elle King

Elle King (born Tanner Elle Schneider; July 3, 1989) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Her musical style encompasses country, soul, rock and blues. In 2012, King released her debut EP, The Elle King EP, on RCA and Fat Possum Records. The EP track “Playing for Keeps” is the theme song for VH1’s Mob Wives Chicago series. She released her debut album, Love Stuff on February 17, 2015.The album produced the US top 10 single "Ex's & Oh's," which earned her two Grammy nominations. King has also toured with acts such as Of Monsters and Men, Train and Michael Kiwanuka. She is the daughter of comedian Rob Schneider and former model London King.

Elle King Announces 2023 ‘A-Freaking-Men’ Tour

Fans are going to fall in love twice next Valentine’s Day, with Elle King announcing a new month-long headlining tour in February 2023. Called “A-Freaking-Men Tour,” this new tour features 36 concerts and the live reveal of her new album: Come Get Your Wife.

A four-time Grammy nominated artist, Elle King has not only dominated in one, but two separate music industries. Starting off in the rock genre, King had early success with the 2014 hit single “Ex’s & Oh’s.” Oh, I’m sure you all remember that throwback. This song alone would launch King into the stratosphere, reaching double Platinum certification, top ten positions in every Billboard category, and 2 Grammy nominations. Since then, King has released 8 singles, two EPs, and two albums. 

Yet Elle King wasn’t content on just being the queen of rock—she has since been crushing it in the country genre as well. Following the early success of her first experimental country tune “Different For Girls” in 2016, she has since been perfecting her craft in the genre. Collaborating with country artists such as Dierks Bentley , and eventually even garnering recognition from the Academy of Country Music Awards. 

Come Get Your Wife will be King’s debut country album, and her first full country project. Judging by how catchy and critically acclaimed her previous country songs have already been, her work will undoubtedly shake up the country genre.   

Furthermore, Elle King states: “I am so excited to be going back out on tour, not just because I love to perform, but because I’m finally putting out a new record. I have put all of my energy and love into this album and I cannot wait to share it live for everyone.”

Elle King Announces 2023 A-Freakin-Men Tour as She Readies Her First Country Album

Elle King will hit the road in early 2023 to debut her twangy new musical chapter. The trek, called the A-Freakin'-Men Tour, launches Feb. 14, just a couple of weeks after King is set to release her first-ever country project, Come Get Your Wife .

Her tour takes its name from a lyric in "Try Jesus," a song that King recently put out in advance of her new album.

"I am so excited to to be going back out on tour, not just because I love to perform, but because I'm finally putting out a new record," King says ahead of the 30-date string of newly-announced shows, spanning from February through March. "I have put all of my energy and love into this album and I cannot wait to share it live for everyone."

The A-Freakin'-Men Tour will bring King to cities across North America, including two-night stands in Asheville, N.C, and Portland, Ore. Roots-rock outfit the Red Clay Strays will join her on the tour, and more dates are scheduled to be announced later on.

Citi cardholders will have access to a special presale for the A-Freakin'-Men Tour beginning Oct. 25 at 10AM local time. The general public will be able to snag their tickets starting Friday (Oct. 28), with special VIP packages also available on King's website .

Elle King Rolls Coast to Coast and Beyond for Summer 2023 Tour

Since the beginning of the year, Elle King released her critically acclaimed album Come Get Your Wife , wrapped her sold-out headline “A-Freakin-Men” Tour presented by Slow & Low, surprised a beloved teacher and fan at her high school in Oklahoma, performed a standout set at Stagecoach, co-hosted the four-day CMA Music Fest in Nashville, and officiated a wedding.

Yesterday, she and Diplo announced the June 23 release of “Without You,” a new song they collaborated on. And with the official start of summer less than a week away, King is packing her bags for a road trip that will take her coast to coast and beyond with shows in Canada and more than half of the states in the U.S. including Hawaii, North Dakota, Maine, Florida, and her native Ohio.

“Playing music and having fun with everyone is what summers all about,” said King who hits the stage tonight with Dierks Bentley in Raleigh, NC at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek.

Her summer of fun tour includes shows with friend and duet partner Dierks Bentley, Jelly Roll, Melissa Etheridge, Eric Church and two shows at Radio City Music Hall with Tyler Childers. King recently released her version of Childers’ fan favorite “Jersey Giant” to radio. Having never recorded the song, when his label asked him who he would like to record it, he said one artist, “Elle King.”

When the summer sizzle fades in North America, King heads to Australia and New Zealand in October where she will join The Chicks as direct support for their 2023 World Tour. “I’m so looking forward to touring with The Chicks again,” said King.  I’m excited to return to Australia and see New Zealand for the first time.”

CMA Fest, the Music Event of Summer hosted by Bentley, King and Wilson is a three-hour primetime concert special that will air July 19 on ABC. The special will include performances by some of the biggest names in music! CMA Music Fest is celebrating it’s Milestone 50th Anniversary.
