La Maison Pommery

Madame Pommery, who wants to produce a different wine, decides to relocate to a different place which combines the optimal conditions for production. In July 1868 she launches the “construction site of the century” in Reims: the metamorphosis of the crayères chalkpits into cellars.

Maison Pommery proposes a privileged moment at the Domaine Vranken-Pommery. Discover the cellars and every aspect of the winemaking process with your guide. At the end of the visit, proceed to our restaurant where the chef will propose a dinner or lunch accompanied by the Champagnes of the Maison to you.

The Domaine Pommery opens the doors of its magnificent buildings in the Elizabethan style and invites you to discover its cellars and crayères (chalk pits), inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List

GUIDED TOUR - HENRY VASNIER 

Guided visit of the Pommery cellars and of the Villa Demoiselle, and tasting of a flute of Pommery Apanage Brut and a flute of Diamant Brut 

Follow, together with your personal guide, the dream of Henry Vasnier, the visionary creator and great benefactor of the city of Reims. This out-of-the ordinary aesthete takes you from the visit of the Pommery cellars to the discovery of the master works of Emile Gallé at the Villa Demoiselle. You will close your visit with a commented tasting of Pommery Apanage Brut, the cuvée of the Maison dedicated to fine dining, and Diamant Brut, the cuvée for insiders.

Guided visit of the Pommery cellars and tasting of a glass of Pommery Brut Royal

Veritable underground cathedrals dating back to the Gallo-Roman period, some of them boasting monumental bas reliefs sculpted in the chalk. An exceptional tour at 30 metres below ground, where you can also admire the works of art of the latest contemporary art exhibition.

GUIDED TOUR - Demoiselle Villa

Guided tour of the Villa Demoiselle and tasting of a flute of Demoiselle Tête de Cuvée

Carefully furnished around a personal and major collection signed by Majorelle, Lalique, Selmersheim.... The different rooms of the villa boast marvellous treasures. To be discovered at your own pace thanks to a digital application and audio tour which can be downloaded (paper support also available).

Villa is closed between 13pm-14pm.

Guided tour, the genius of Madame Pommery

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Pommery Champagne House, discover the extraordinary story of Madame Pommery. A woman with one idea in mind: to create a modern champagne of excellence. Tour the cellars and museum with your guide, tracing the story of this woman of genius.

The experience ends with a tasting of Apanage 1874 and Pommery Brut Royal Rosé.

Follow the dream of Henry Vasnier, visionary creator and patron of the city of Reims, from a visit to the Pommery cellar to the masterpieces of Emile Gallé in the Villa Demoiselle. Discover at your own place with the downloadable digital and audio tour(paper version also available). The tour ends with a double tasting of two emblematic cuvées from Domaine Pommery and Villa Demoiselle: Pommery Brut Royal and Demoiselle Tête de cuvée.

Brut Royal Visit

Pommery is the first Maison to propose a self-guided and commented tour of its cellars and Gallo-Roman crayères (chalk pits) thanks to a downloadable application and audio itinerary (paper support also available).

Discover the magnificent Elizabethan style buildings in the depth of the cellars, at 30 metres below the ground. You will experience every aspect of the wine-making process and discover the contemporary art exhibition, Experience Pommery. At the end of your visit, you will be able to taste a glass of the house's emblematic cuvée, Pommery Brut Royal.

After a short presentation of the tour, we will drive to the  champagne houses district.

You can not miss Pommery it's like a castle !  First, we will privatly visit the cellars where there are bottles on kilometers. with big modern art works decorating the place  You will learn the history of Pommery with the amblematic Veuve Pommery.

Then you will taste 2 different types of Pommery champagnes which will be explained to you to take advantage of the all taste and feeling it can give including the last vintage.

We will have a stop to the Pommery shop. 

After the visit at Pommery, you will enjoy views, discover the vineyards and landscapes of the area which are listed as UNESCO world heritage. The vineyards are planted on the hillside of the mountain of Reims. Their beauty and order are noticeable.

In 1858 nam Madame Pommery de leiding van het Champagnehuis over. Ze bedacht het merk-imago van Pommery en begon de keldergangen te vernoemen naar grote wereldsteden zodra haar Champagnes daar op de markt kwamen. 

Alle gasten van Champagne Pommery (Reims) komen binnen door de Carnot kelder, het centrale gebouw van Champagne Pommery met de imposante donjon-toren die recht boven de imposante monumentale trap met 116 treden staat. De plat-reliëf kunst in de ondergrondse wereld accentueert de surrealistische schoonheid van deze groteske kelders. 

Duurzame wijnbouw-methoden en unieke productieprocessen zijn de perfecte reflectie van de unieke stijl van de Pommery Champagnes.
