Dancing on Ice is back for its fourteenth series, with a fresh line-up of celebrities.

Taking to the ice this season is Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor, Happy Monday's dancer Bez, Paralympian Stef Reid, and Love Island’s Liberty Poole.

They're joined by Rugby legend Ben Foden, Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, Paul Gascoigne’s son, dancer Regan Gascoigne, pop star Rachel Stevens, professional dancer Brendan Cole, presenter Ria Hebden, BMX Olympic silver medallist Kye Whyte and The Vamps' Connor Ball.

They celebs will be watched by skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, and dancers Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse - who is making her debut on the panel.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will also be back as hosts.

This year, the show will be filmed at a purpose-built rink at RAF Bovingdon in Hertfordshire.

Dancing on Ice has taken place at the RAF ground since 2018.

The airfield is no stranger to stardom; it's been used for a whole host of TV shows and films, including Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and Fast and Furious 6.

When the programme was first launched in 2006, it was filmed at Elstree Studios, Herfordshire, until 2011 when it was relocated to Shepperton Studios in Surrey.

It then returned to Elstree Studios for three years, until 2014, when it was announced that the show would be ending.

But Dancing on Ice was revived in 2018, located at its new home in Bovingdon where it's been filmed ever since.

Dancing on Ice returns to ITV at 6.30pm on Sunday 14 January.

'Dancing on Ice' 2022: line-up, judges, and everything we know

'Dancing on Ice' 2022 is back for a brand new season on ITV.

Dancing on Ice 2022 is back with the 14th season of the competition on ITV.

The series has been running since 2006 and saw Coronation Street and Emmerdale actress Gaynor Faye crowned as the first-ever winner. Since then, we've also seen the likes of Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle and actor Joe Swash earning the coveted title. But who will we be adding to the Dancing on Ice winners list this year? 

Here's what you need to know about the new season...

'Dancing on Ice' 2022 air date

Dancing on Ice 2022 will start on ITV on Sunday, Jan. 16 2022 at 6.30pm and then air in the same slot every weekend. You will also be able to catch up on missed episodes via ITV Hub. 

The first episode will see the first six celebrities performing, with the remaining six competing the following week. Here are the celebrities and songs for week one:

Bez and Angela will skate to Step On by Bez' own group, Happy Mondays.

Kimberley and Mark will perform a routine to What About Us b y Pink.

Kye and Tippy are skating to Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal.

Sally and Matt will do their routine to She's Always A Woman by Billy Joel.

Brendan and Vanessa will perform to Black Betty by Ram Jam.

Finally, Ria and Lukasz will skate to Treat People With Kindness by Harry Styles.

Who are the contestants for 'Dancing on Ice' 2022?

Sally dynevor .

Coronation Street 's Sally Dynevor is the first confirmed contestant for Dancing on Ice 2022. Best known for her role as Sally Webster , the actress revealed that she'd be participating in the series on ITV daytime series Lorraine . 

During the interview, she revealed: “Now everyone knows I’m doing it I can’t back out can I?! And I’m so scared!”

Asked if she’s skated before, Sally said: “No never! I went with Hattie [her daughter] when she was little and I had a penguin and then thought this is too hard so I’ll go and get a coffee! This is a massive challenge, Lorraine. It really, really is. I’m not getting any younger, I’ve just got to take every opportunity I get so that when I’m old I can say you know what? I gave it a go.”

Mark Berry (Bez)

Happy Mondays star Bez is the second celebrity to be taking to the ice this season. Speaking to Dancing On Ice presenters Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield on This Morning , he said: "At the moment it’s more like Bambi on Ice, not Dancing On Ice . How I got picked I don’t know because I was absolutely awful at the audition but they must have seen some potential in me!”

"I’m looking forward to learning a new skill and I can’t wait for the Christmas ice rinks again and I can get on there and really show off."

Bez has already suffered an injury while training after hitting his head so hard on the  ice that his helmet flew off ! Thankfully, he was okay. 

Paralympian Stef Reid announced her involvement in the new series on  Good Morning Britain,  saying: “I have some really exciting news. I’m going to be picking up a new sport this winter and it comes with a little bit of showbiz. I’m going to be a contestant on  Dancing on Ice  and it’s a little bit scary but I cannot wait!”

Stef is a five-time world record holder, and reigning world champion in the London 2017 Long Jump. She has won a number of Paralympic medals over the years, claiming her first Paralympic medal at the Beijing Games in 2008.

Liberty Poole

Love Island star Liberty Poole confirmed her involvement via Instagram , writing: "I’m going to be learning to dance...on ice! Wish me luck! So excited to join the show that I’ve loved watching for years."

She added: "I grew up watching  Dancing on Ice  and my mum actually used to be a figure skater. I ice skate as a hobby sometimes so I can get around the rink but I can't do any tricks, no pirouetting or anything, so I'm really looking forward to pushing myself and learning as much as I possibly can. Not just skating around the ice but actually dancing on ice. Bring it on!"

Ben Foden - first to be voted out

English rugby player Ben Foden currently plays for Rugby United New York in Major League Rugby. 

Speaking about joining Dancing on Ice he said: "I used to skate a little when I was a kid. I’d go to ice discos when I was 15, 16  and you’d always see these kids that could do pirouettes that had a proper dancing background. I like the idea of learning a new sport and a new skill. I’m quite competitive as well so I like the challenge of competing against others doing something that I’m not necessarily good at!"

Ben was the first contestant eliminated from the show after going against TV presenter Ria Hebden in the skate-off. He scored a respectable 23 points for his performance, but this wasn’t enough to save him from being voted off the show.

Despite his short time on the show, Ben applauded his professional partner Robin Johnstone for all of the skating training. “I really have enjoyed it, this woman is incredible and it’s the people who make this experience,” he praised.

Regan Gascoigne

Regan is a singer, dancer, and the son of former England footballer Paul Gascoigne. He has confirmed he will be trying his hand at skating for this season of Dancing on Ice . 

In an Instagram post , Regan revealed: "The Universe moves in mysterious ways! I love watching @dancingonice every year! I just Never thought this would actually happed to me. I’m Nervous, Scared but mostly Excited all at the same time. Hopefully I can stay on my feet x"

Rachel Stevens

Former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens is the seventh contestant confirmed for Dancing on Ice 2022.

Stevens revealed the news when she appeared on This Morning with Phil and Holly. When she revealed she was taking part, she said: "It now feels really real, this is really happening.  I’m so excited, obviously really nervous.  It's one of those things, until you do it you don’t know what’s going to happen.”  

Brendan Cole

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Brendan Cole is the eighth celeb signed up for Dancing on Ice 2022!

He enthusiastically revealed the news on Loose Women on Oct. 6, where he said: "I’m so, so excited, it’s been a while coming now. I’ve known I’d be doing the show for quite some time and I want to get started, I’m so excited to be on the show."

Fresh from making history in Tokyo as Great Britain's first-ever BMX Olympic silver medalist, Kye Whyte will be the ninth contestant taking part in Dancing on Ice next year.

He announced the news on CBBC Newsround this morning, where he confidently said: "I think I can win Dancing On Ice. I’d love to see if I can make the final because, as I said, I’m very competitive. You know what? I want to make the final!"

TV Presenter Ria Hebden is over the moon about joining the series. She said: "It’ll be fun. This is one of ITV’s most sparkly shows so when they asked me I was like absolutely, we watch it at home. It will be brilliant to learn a new scary skill.

“You’ve got to say yes to things that excite you, that are a little bit scary because that’s when the growth happens — I’m hoping so anyway!”

Kimberly Wyatt

Talking on Heart Breakfast to fellow Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts, Kimberly said: “I have signed up for  Dancing on Ice ! I'm nervous, that ice is going to hit hard. I'm just excited to see what I can do on there. I'm up for a challenge!"

Kimberly has already dipped her toes into the world of dance, judging the dance competition show  Got To Dance  between 2009 and 2014 and being part of the girl group Pussycat Dolls. She also won  Celebrity MasterChef  in 2015 and will be making her theatre stage entrance in 2022 as press secretary Kate Compton in  Dead Lies  by crime novelist Hilary Bonner.

Connor Ball

The Vamps star, Connor, announced the news on Capital FM to Roman Kemp, Sian Welby, and current  Dancing On Ice  champion and singer Sonny Jay, saying, “I'm excited obviously, but I'm really nervous. I'm quite clumsy, accident-prone. Ice is hard! It was pretty hard to keep the secret. The rest of the band knows. They’re super excited for me."

Connor jokingly pleaded with fans on Twitter: “Please don’t tell me to break a leg cause I actually will” after tweeting about how nervous he was. 

Antony Costa - unconfirmed 

Antony Costa has reportedly been signed up as a reserve contestant for Dancing on Ice 2022. 

The news was first reported by The Sun , who said the former Blue singer was "really excited about skating on Dancing on Ice " but has missed out on the main cast list. However, if one of the other celebs is forced to pull out of the competition before the show returns, we could be seeing Antony Costa taking to the ice in 2022!

Who is on the 'Dancing on Ice' 2022 judging panel?

Figure skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will reprise their roles as judges, alongside Ashley Banjo, but it was recently confirmed that John Barrowman would not appear on the panel for the 2022 competition .

Instead, Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse will be joining the judging panel for the new series. Oti has already proved her judging expertise on  The Greatest Dancer  which she is returning to later this year. She was also a guest judge on  RuPaul's Drag Race UK  and has  won   Strictly Come Dancing  twice, once with comedian  Bill Bailey  and also with actor Kelvin Fletcher in 2019.

Speaking of this year's lineup, Jayne Torvill said there are already some standout contestants: "I think there’s probably about five or six so that’s what makes it exciting this year. You've got Brendan Cole with his ballroom background, you’ve got Kimberly Wyatt with her choreographic dance background, and because we’ve seen her in training a few times I’ve really noticed that she’s incredibly supple. She’s got really elegant lines and her skating is coming along really well too."

Who is presenting 'Dancing on Ice' 2022?

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are back to their presenting duties again for the new series, and while Holly has admitted she is excited to get dressed up again each weekend, she is nervous about watching some of the more adventurous skating moves, especially the famous headbanger...I absolutely hate it. I can't bear it.  I end up watching it back afterwards. I've never watched one live. I will not do it.  

"One of the worst moments was when somebody did it in the skate off last year and Phil and I now stand rink side because normally I'm off set and I was like ‘oh I’m just standing here and they are doing it right in front of me.’ I love it when the skaters do a move called a Roll Up, I think because in my head I’m thinking they can pick me up and do that."

Final celebrity line-up for Dancing On Ice 2022 revealed

The star-studded line-up for the 2022 series of Dancing On Ice has been completed.

The TV series will feature returning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

However, John Barrowman, who joined the judging panel in 2019, will not be back.

Fresh from appearing on Love Island, the waitress and marketing student from Birmingham will be taking to the rink.

The 22-year-old was coupled up with Jake Cornish in the latest series of the ITV dating show, but the pair called time on their romance and left the villa early.

“I grew up watching Dancing On Ice and my mum actually used to be a figure skater,” she said.

The former S Club 7 singer, 43, shot to fame as part of the chart-topping band between 1999 and 2003.

She later embarked on a successful solo career and finished second on Strictly Come Dancing in 2008.

Stevens, who shares two daughters with husband Alex Bourne, said: “I love the whole idea of working with a team and your partner and also for my girls to be a part of this. They are at an age now where they love all the costumes.”

The son of former England footballer Paul is a singer and dancer.

He said: “Obviously I dance and love dancing, but it’s the skill of this… I’ve always wanted to do it. Always! Ever since I was a kid!”

The former England rugby player, 36, was previously married to singer Una Healy and competed in Simon Cowell’s X Factor celebrity spin-off series in 2019.

“I’m quite competitive as well so I like the challenge of competing against others doing something that I’m not necessarily good at,” he said.

News of track and field Paralympian Reid, 36, joining the show was announced on Good Morning Britain.

She said: “I have some really exciting news. I’m going to be picking up a new sport this winter and it comes with a little bit of showbiz.

“I’m going to be a contestant on Dancing On Ice and it’s a little bit scary but I cannot wait!”

The maraca-shaking dancer, famed for his onstage antics as part of Madchester-era band Happy Mondays, will discover if his moves translate to the ice rink.

The 57-year-old, whose real name is Mark Berry, said: “At the moment it’s more like Bambi On Ice, not Dancing On Ice.

“How I got picked I don’t know, because I was absolutely awful at the audition, but they must have seen some potential in me.”

The Coronation Street star was the first celebrity skater to be announced.

The 58-year-old actress is known to viewers as ambitious Sally Webster in the long-running ITV soap, a part she has played since 1986.

Dynevor appeared on Lorraine to announce the news, saying: “This is a massive challenge. It really, really is.

“I’m not getting any younger. I’ve just got to take every opportunity I get so that when I’m old I can say, ‘You know what? I gave it a go’.”

Whyte, 22, won Britain’s first ever BMX Olympic medal with a silver at the 2020 Tokyo Games in the summer.

He announced news of his participation on CBBC’s Newsround, saying: “I’m feeling good.”

Asked if he had ever skated, he said: “I have (roller-skated) when I was younger so we’ll see how it goes.”

A regular presenter of the entertainment slot on ITV’s Lorraine, Hebden said: “It’ll be fun. This is one of ITV’s most sparkly shows so when they asked me I was like absolutely, we watch it at home. It will be brilliant to learn a new scary skill.”

Following the announcement live on Lorraine, she added: “You’ve got to say yes to things that excite you, that are a little bit scary because that’s when the growth happens – I’m hoping so anyway!”

“I’m going to go on this journey and hopefully inspire mums, dads and everyone to give things a go.”

The Pussycat Dolls star has joined the ITV show following the delay of her group’s comeback tour due to coronavirus.

The 39-year-old is also due to make her theatre stage debut in 2022, appearing as press secretary Kate Compton in Hilary Bonner’s political thriller Dead Lies.

Wyatt was previously a judge on the dance competition show Got To Dance from 2009 to 2014 and won the BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef series in 2015.

The Vamps singer was the final contestant announced for the show.

He admitted he may struggle on the rink, saying: “I’m quite clumsy, accident-prone. Ice is hard!

The band – consisting of Ball, Brad Simpson, James McVey and Tristan Evans – formed in 2012 and in 2020 released their fifth studio album titled Cherry Blossom.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional, 45, was announced on Loose Women, saying: “I’m a fairly confident person and I like to think I’m going to be good at what I put my hand to.”

Cole was a professional on the BBC flagship show for 15 years and has since appeared as a judge on New Zealand’s Dancing With The Stars and as a guest judge on Britain’s Next Top Model.

Thought the whole event was terrific. So glad we managed to obtain tickets, especially as this will be the last tour. So sad there will no longer be any Dancing on Ice each year.

Enjoyable Show.......But

Although great fans of Torvill and Dean (having seen them twice before over the years), was a little disappointed as this was their Farewell Tour, was expecting more of a proper show than just the celebrities dancing with their professional partners (just like watching Dancing on Ice on t.v). Apart from the Swan routine which was beautiful, there wasnt any more routines by the professionals. Torvill and Deans previous shows have always included more professional dancers doing their own fabulous routines. There was a lot of video coverage on the large screens showing each celebrity before they came onto the ice which took up quite a bit of time. Unfortunately, as Gareth Gatess partner was ill and couldnt perform, he only came on once with another professional to do a short routine and sang a short song. The atmosphere in the Arena was great and the audience absolutely welcoming towards the ice skaters. The warm up guy was really good and got everyone on their feet and laughing. At the end of the show when Jane Torvill said that this was not Goodbye, but Goodnight, was surprised as was under the impression this was their last ever show. Hey ho! Still enjoyed the show very much despite the above comments.

Great event and very helpful staff

We were not disappointed with the show and it was everything we hoped it would be. T&D are national treasures and their Bolero performance was outstanding, me and my family found it very moving particularly as it will probably be one of the last occasions they will skate together. The celebrity and professional skaters were great and very entertaining. The staff at the venue went out of their way and were very helpful.
