The band’s frontman Matty Healy recently joined American filmmaker Caveh Zahedi in his latest episode of  Getting Stoned With… ,  in which the singer learns who the Mountain Goats are while high.

“Have you read John Darnielle’s novels?” Zahedi asked. Healy responded by shaking his head no with the filmmaker saying: “The guy from the Mountain Goats … You don’t know the Mountain Goats?”

“I’ve never heard them. Are they a big band?,” Healy asked, proceeding to ask the crew if they’ve heard of the Mountain Goats.

The 1975 has added three new shows onto their new North American Tour, “The 1975: Still… At Their Very Best.” The band has added three new dates to their already extensive lineup, with additional shows in Chicago, Fort Worth, and Newark.

1975 10 year anniversary tour

The new tour is a continuation of their previous tour, “At Their Very Best,” which took the band to arenas across the world. The original leg of the tour was in support of their fifth album, Being Funny In A Foreign Language, which was released in October of last year. The album immediately topped the charts in the UK, leading The 1975 to win Best Rock/Alternative Act at the Brit Awards.

The tour announcement precedes The 1975’s 10-year anniversary of their debut album, The 1975. The band will be releasing several limited edition versions of their debut record, including a 4LP vinyl that includes the band’s early EPs. In honor of the 10th anniversary of this iconic album, The 1975 took to the stage at Reading and Leeds Festival over the weekend to perform their entire self-titled album in full.

1975 10 year anniversary tour

Several dates of the new tour are already sold out, including shows in San Diego, Nashville, and Boston. The 1975 has also sold out two of the most iconic arenas in the United States, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and Madison Square Garden in New York.

The 1975 will be kicking off the tour in Sacramento, CA on September 26. Tickets for The 1975’s “Still… At Their Very Best” North American tour are on sale now .

1975 10 year anniversary tour

10 years ago, The 1975 released their debut self-titled album and became one of the most influential alternative rock bands of this generation. So much of The 1975's debut album still feels so fresh, as if it was made just this year. It truly is a testament to how ahead of the time they were in 2013. Aesthetically and sonically, they shaped so much of the culture for both pop and rock music in the years to come and defined the sound for all alternative music artists of the 2010's and beyond.

Although they didn't release a full-length album until 2013, they actually formed the band in 2002 when Matty Healy, George Daniel, Adam Hann, and Ross MacDonald were in school together. They continued playing together in the years that followed, under a variety of different names like "Me and You Versus Them", "Talkhouse", "Slowdown" and "Bigsleep", to name a few. "Drive Like I Do", was another one of the many early iterations of the band as well as the name of one of their first four EPs as The 1975. It has been hinted at for years that Drive Like I Do will make a possible return as a side project for the band, although nothing has come of it yet. Much of their eventual debut album as The 1975 was previously released under some of those names - "Robbers" under Bigsleep, "Chocolate" under Drive Like I Do, and two different versions of "Sex" were also released under both of those band names. It is so interesting to hear the early, alternate versions of those songs and the journey it took to get where the songs are today.

In 2010, they started working with their manager Jamie Oborne and eventually became the first artists to be signed to his new independent label, Dirty Hit. The band wasn't called "The 1975" until 2012, when Matty came across writing in the back of an old copy of  On The Road  by Jack Kerouac. "I found a page of scribblings. It wasn't really disturbing or dark or anything... the important thing that stuck with me was that the page was dated '1st June. The 1975'. At the time I just thought that the word 'The' preceding a date was a strong use of language," he told  The Guardian  in 2012. "I never thought it would be something that would later come to be so important. When it came to naming the band, it was perfect."

So much of this album incorporates a variety of musical genres, it's hard to even put a definitive label on some of the songs because it varies so much. Matty has described it as, "...pretty experimental, and goes from glitchy R&B to big 80s power-pop to mid 90s soul, but it's done in our way obviously," in an interview with  When the Gramophone Rings  in August 2013. While some of the songs are more new-wave and pop sounding, others are more rock in the traditional sense with alternative and punk elements.

This album impacted me greatly and shaped so much of my musical taste from that point forward. It shaped so much of who I was back then, and even still to this day. I was about sixteen years old and a junior in high school when I first discovered it in late 2015, which was a couple of years after this album came out. I vividly remember this was also the same time I listened to Lana Del Rey 's Born To Die album for the first time too, so it was definitely a very formative period for me. I always credit artists like The 1975 and Lana for influencing so much of the music I have grown to love in the years since. That was such an exciting time for music, so many new artists came out of nowhere and completely redefined the boundaries of their respective musical genres. It's crazy to think that many of these albums that I grew up listening to are now over a decade old. It's a strange feeling to have nostalgia for something that feels like it was just yesterday.

When looking back on each of his albums in an interview with  Pitchfork  in 2020, Matty Healy said, "It was the apocalyptic sense of being a teenager, in a major key. Put a bow on it. That’s that record. The feeling of being a teenager, it’s like the apocalypse. Everything that happens, you have zero responsibility for, but it’s the most important thing that could ever happen."

1975 10 year anniversary tour

Matty is the primary songwriter of The 1975's music and so much of this album is really taking a glimpse into who he was as a teenager growing up in Manchester and experiences in his early 20's. He is so captivating as the narrator behind this music, there are so many layers and facets to him as an artist and songwriter. So much of The 1975's music feels as equally cool as it is depressing at times, which is a dichotomy that perhaps makes them so great as it is done in a really honest way. They were blurring the lines of so many different genres of music and creating an aesthetic that became synonymous with alternative culture made popular by the early 2010's Tumblr era. It really did shape a whole subgeneration of people at this time, myself included. Critically, this was a very divisive album, with positive reviews for it being far and few between from major publications. I really don't think that this album was made with the intention of it becoming critically acclaimed in the first place. This album and the band as a whole has far outlived the critics in every regard. If you get it, you get it, if you don't, you don't - and that's ok!

Every song feels as if it can stand on its own and is not to be only understood in the greater context of the entire album. It is very accessible in that way. Matty said in an interview with  When the Gramophone Rings  that, "...we feel the album is lead track after lead track". There really isn't a dull moment on this record because of that.

It opens with a song aptly titled "The 1975", which has been an ongoing tradition with every album they have released since. Each iteration of "The 1975" serves as an introduction to the sound and style of the album for the listener. For their first three albums, it was the same lyrics, but reimagined with new production each time. With 2020 's Notes On A Conditional Form and 2022 's  Being Funny In A Foreign Language , they took a completely different approach with the song, which was an interesting change of pace for the introduction track.

It then transitions into "The City", which is such a classic and will always be a favorite of mine. The opening drums are so iconic and hearing it will always transport me back to the first time I listened to this album. So much of The 1975 feels so true to their experiences growing up and it really does capture all of those intense feelings and struggles so well. Songs like "The City" and "Chocolate" are what they called "the blueprint" of the band at the time and defined the sonic direction they were going in with their music. Those two songs, along with "M.O.N.E.Y", capture Manchester through their point of view in such a unique way. "It’s just the most self-deprecating, self-loathing song. There’s a lot of really literal references that you can take as well to immediately conjure up a story. That’s not me being metaphorical in that song. That’s like quite straight up, night out. If you’ve experienced those things, you know exactly what that song is about," Matty told  Genius when talking about "M.ON.E.Y" .

This entire album feels as if it could serve as the soundtrack to any John Hughes movie in the 80's, which they have cited as a major influence for this album. Songs like "She Way Out", "Settle Down", "Girls", and "Heart Out", specifically capture that feeling. Those songs have always defined this era of music for me and are so much fun to listen to. They incorporate more of the pop and funk elements that make up a big portion of this album. The guitar and bass riffs are so catchy and instantly recognizable too. I actually forgot how much I love the song "She Way Out" until recently, it's kind of about the ultimate cool girl - as pretty much every woman portrayed in their music comes off as. Like I said, it feels like it was made to be on the soundtrack of a movie, it's so good. "With a face from a movie scene or magazine, you know what I mean, she's definitely got the style on you," he sings. "She's got two-tone everything, way too intelligent, moving but she just can't move, she's got two phones, everything, boyfriend, telling him 'Find me 'cause I'll never find you'".

There are also some more experimental tracks throughout, like the two electronic interludes, "An Encounter" and "12". They have included a few tracks like this on nearly every album hereafter, but this is probably the best example of it actually adding to the atmospheric experience of the album - likely because they are only about a minute long. Some of the electronic interludes from their other albums kind of drag out a little bit too long. "Menswear" is another one of the best examples of the electronic sound being executed really well in this album. Much of their work after this has incorporated electronic elements too, especially A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships  and Notes On A Conditional Form , which was kind of hit or miss in my opinion. It has come to be a signature production style of George, the band's drummer and primary producer, although there is obviously so much versatility in his work. Other songs are more traditionally rock leaning, but incorporates alternative and punk elements too. Songs like "The City", "Sex" and "Robbers" in particular capture that style of music, all of which are massive career highlights in their discography. The instrumentals on those three songs are beyond and are some of my favorites by the band.

1975 10 year anniversary tour

Hearing "Robbers" for the first time I think was a universally life-altering experience for any fan of The 1975. It was an instant classic and one that has only gotten better with time. The opening guitar riff is beyond iconic and the metaphorical storytelling is one of the major highlights of this album for me.

The song tells the story of an all-encompassing love, with two Bonnie and Clyde type of characters. I love the way it was brought to life with the music video too. Matty has said the song is inspired by the Quentin Tarantino film  True Romance , "It’s the sentiment behind the film that appeals to me, the hopelessly romantic notion that two people can meet and instantly fall in love, an escape story where love is the highest law and conquers all against the odds. Characters like Bonnie and Clyde always appealed to me as a teenager – couples so intoxicated with one another that they fear nothing in the pursuit of the realization of each other, actions fueled by blind unconditional love. ‘Robbers’ is an ode to those relationships. The type of relationship all humans long for. All or nothing. This video is about when love makes two people feel they are the center of the universe."

I wrote about "Robbers" in detail last year when they released their song "About You" . That song kind of serves as a sequel to "Robbers" in a lot of ways, with the narrator looking back on this relationship years later and wondering to himself, "do you think I have forgotten about you?" and continues to "hold on and hope that we'll find our way back in the end". Releasing a song like that nearly a decade after "Robbers" felt so full circle to get a sense of closure with those characters. "Robbers" is a song that has lyrically echoed through so much of their music ever since it was released and has been referenced in one way or another on nearly every album. "Change of Heart" , from their sophomore album , is also very connected to "Robbers" with the call back to "She had a face straight out of a magazine", but following it up now with "...but now you just look like anyone". It is a storyline that connects so much of their music together in such a profound way.

There is so much passion and emotion in his voice that continues to build throughout the song. One of the most iconic moments in the musical history of The 1975 has to be the climax of the song when Matty repeats, "she says babe - you look sooooo coooooool". Tumblr and Pinterest moodboards were never the same! I saw them live for the first time in 2017 and I still can't believe they didn't play this song at that show (although it was still one of the best concerts I have ever been to). I am seeing them live again this November after all these years and I am so excited to *hopefully* finally be able to scream that part of the song with 20,000 other people at that show!

The album ends with a song called "Is There Somebody Who Can Watch You", which is quite a departure from much of the up-tempo tracks this album is made up of. It is written for Matty's younger brother, Louis, and is what he described "...one of the more saddening songs for me that I’ve ever written". It's about him leaving home to go on tour with the band and worries that he is leaving his past and family behind. It is an unpolished recording that sounds as if it's a demo, only with a simple piano track in the back. It is so different from the rest of the album, but also feels like such a perfect note to end their debut album on.

The essence of The 1975 is present in every single modern alt-rock album released in the past ten years. Although no one could ever replicate the magic of the real thing, though. Their self-titled debut album is a blend of so many different sonic influences that they crafted into a sound that is all their own. The 1975's self-titled debut album is a modern classic and one that continues to get better and better with each passing year.

Thanks for reading! I would love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below!

About this item

Following headline performances at Reading and Leeds Festival The 1975 celebrate 10 years since the release of their self-titled breakthrough album on 1st September 2023. ‘The 1975’ reflects the Manchester art-pop quartet’s shape-shifting adventurousness, an album of indelible choruses and mesmeric melodies that glides from electro grooves to alt-rock explosions to dreamy interludes. ‘The 1975’ was recorded in Liverpool, with Mike Crossey co-producing alongside the band’s Matthew Healy and George Daniel. The 1975 Hiatus: Still…At Their Very Best (For Now)

1975 10 year anniversary tour

If you haven’t gotten your tickets for The 1975 Still… At Their Very Best tour, now is the time. At the recent show in Sacramento on September 26th, band front man Matty Healy proclaimed that they will be taking an indefinite hiatus after this tour. Fans from the show (like TikTok user @amoookesignals recorded the statement: “It’s wonderful you’re all here. After this tour we will be going on an indefinite hiatus of shows. So, it’s wonderful to have you guys with us tonight. Thank you so much.” This was backed by the intro to their debut album “The 1975” off their album The 1975 . The hit debut album just celebrated its 10-year anniversary on September the 2nd, coinciding with the rise of 2012/2013 tumblr culture and music coming back into popularity.

The band, going on tour after the most recent release Being Funny in a Foreign Language , with hit songs like “About You,” “Oh Caroline,” and “Looking for Somebody to Love.” The 1975 Still… at Their Very Best tour, shows directly following The 1975 … At Their Very Best tour has been going on since November of 2022, ending on March 24, 2024, at the end of the European leg of the tour, totaling touring for just over 18 months for the band. This follows the recent trend of artists going on mega-tours lasting over 1 year, most notable artists being Taylor Swift and Harry Styles who both had tours that span over 2 years.

While some people on twitter have been comparing the hiatus with the hiatus announcement of One Direction, there isn’t as much cause to worry. In the statement made by Healy, he did say “indefinite hiatus of shows,” having some fans speculating that they will be back. Their Instagram page, which has recently been full of nostalgic promotion of The 1975 debut 10-year anniversary has recently deleted all posts but 5 recent posts promoting the tour. The most recent post being a picture from the Life is Beautiful festival captioned “the only time I feel I might get better is when we are together,” lyrics from “When we are Together,” the final song of the most recent album “Notes on a Conditional Form”.

Now, is there meaning to be drawn from this? Possibly.

Releasing a quote from the final song of the final album after announcing they were going on a hiatus could be a sign. But in a world of Taylor Swift easter eggs there is a distinct possibility of drawing meaning where there is none. Then again, The 1975 have a history of deleting all their social media posts and accounts when preparing to release new music as they have done with past albums, some fans are seeing this as a sign they are releasing more music.

All in all, while there is a hiatus in shows, the band may continue to release more music. Until all is revealed, if you’d like to see The 1975, their north Texas show is at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on October 9th, and the time to get tickets is now!

Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen is back in her bathing suit era.

Ten years after her last appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue, the model and cookbook author, 38, is fronting the magazine once again .

While her 2014 cover saw Teigen topless as she posed alongside Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge, this time she went solo in a low-cut orange one-piece by Saint Laurent as one of four cover stars for the company’s 60th anniversary issue.

In photos captured by Yu Tsai in Los Angeles, the mom of four can be seen posing in a variety of swimwear, kneeling in water wearing a swirly, crocheted bikini from Cult Gaia and rocking a beaded creation from Natalia Fedner among other designs.

At one point, Teigen sits in a chair, decked out in a denim Alaïa one-piece, and smiles in other styles from Adriana Degreas and Mugler.

In addition to Teigen, Hunter McGrady, Kate Upton and Gayle King nabbed their own individual covers and the magazine also released a group shots, highlighting SI “legends” like Martha Stewart, Christie Brinkley, Tyra Banks and more — including Agdal and Aldrige.

It makes sense that the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2024 would choose to pay tribute to the “Cravings by Chrissy Teigen” author, who has appeared in the magazine a total of nine times after her 2010 Rookie of the Year debut.

“Chrissy Teigen represents the new generation of model moguls,” the publication’s editor in chief, MJ Day, explained in a press release.

chrissy teigen and john legend

Of course, a lot has changed since Teigen’s debut more than two decades ago; For starters, she’s now a mom to Luna, 8, Miles, 5, Esti, 1, and Wren, 11 months, whom she shares with husband John Legend.

“It feels like I’ve lived 800 different lifetimes since the first shoot we did, and I love that all the pictures and everything we’ve done throughout the years [are] like chapters in a book,” Teigen said in the accompanying interview .

“To have the legends issue and have icons together, people that I see as incredible women, not even in the industry, but just incredible women period, it’s really exciting and fun and I’m just happy to be a part of it.”

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2024 also marks a major moment for a handful of other faces; Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, is part of the elite group of those making their debut, wearing fiery, cutout swimwear and King, 69, who made her debut in a sizzling one-piece .

With special guest king solomon hicks, burton cummings, king solomon hicks, event information.

Burton Cummings , lead singer of the original The Guess Who and successful solo artist, is set to tour the U.S. this September, marking his 60-year-anniversary of making and releasing music. The tour will include a performance at Cincinnati’s Taft Theatre on Wednesday, September 25 with special guest King Solomon Hicks.

In addition to the tour, Cummings is also pleased to announce that A Few Good Moments, his first studio album since 2008’s Above The Ground , will release this year. Album release date details coming soon!

"Get ready, America! This fall, my band and I are hitting the road for the first leg of our U.S. tour! It's been far too long, but we're finally bringing the music straight to your doorstep. Join us at a venue near you where we’ll be performing my hits from the original The Guess Who and my solo career from over the past 60 years!" - Burton Cummings

In 1964, a 16-year-old Cummings released two singles as a member of The Deverons. Two years later, he joined The Guess Who. It was with the original The Guess Who that Cummings’ signature vocals, along with his songwriting and keyboard prowess, would fuel massively big hits around the world including “These Eyes,” “No Time,” “Laughing” and their biggest hit “American Woman,” the latter topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart for three weeks in 1970. When the band broke up in 1975 Cummings would find solo success with “Stand Tall,” an international smash which spent 21 weeks on Billboard Hot 100 topping out at #10.

50 Cent on what fans can expect on his 20th anniversary tour (not upside down crunches)

1975 10 year anniversary tour

NEW YORK – "It was the best body of work at that time."

50 Cent is giving " Get Rich or Die Tryin' " a tour encore.

The Grammy-winning artist , 47, announced a 20th-anniversary tour, The Final Lap, to celebrate his debut studio album Friday. Busta Rhymes is joining him for all 90 days and Jeremih is coming along for the North American stops.

50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) helped define an era of hip-hop with his 2003 album that included hits "In Da Club," "21 Questions," and "Many Men (Wish Death)." Several of the songs referenced the moment he was shot nine times in 2000 as well as various happenings from street life in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, New York.

The album also popularized hip-hop artists rapping and singing, laying the foundation for Drake , 6LACK , Monaleo, Doechii, Ty Dolla $ign and more.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

Two decades later, 50 Cent jokes the anniversary of "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" means "I'm getting old."

What can you expect for 50 Cent's The Final Lap tour with Busta Rhymes and Jeremih?

If you saw the rapper perform the album in the past, don't expect the same from this tour. "It’s going to be a whole new show," he promises.

"Sometimes out of habit, you go to certain records," 50 Cent says. "People love other things on it, so I want to make sure I touch those records before I don’t do those anymore."

One thing you shouldn't expect from the tour is upside-down crunches, a move he did in the music video for "In Da Club" and recreated during a guest appearance at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show headlined by Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar .

"I think that was a mistake for the Super Bowl," he says. "Everybody else walked in regular, the songs still went over and they got the trophy, too. They all won an Emmy. They got the same thing I got and I had to put myself upside down."

50 Cent jokingly adds that someone should have intervened, because if he fell, he would've been made fun of for years to come. It was high risk over reward.

In contrast, "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" has proved to be all reward. After all, he did get rich.

Here's more from USA TODAY's interview with 50 Cent:

Question:   Did you know the revolutionary impact you'd have rapping and singing on "Get Rich or Die Tryin'"?

Answer: It's not really a revolution. If you're going to make music that is going to be world music, it has to have melodies. English is not their first speaking language in a lot of places that I travel. What (those crowds) follow is the melody until they understand what you're saying.

Drake is the new, stronger version like that because he can do a whole pop record, sing the whole song. I've never done that. He'll say that I'm one of those influences. ... That’s a big compliment because he's established himself and done great work.

Would you ever collaborate with Drake?

That would be a good one.

How did you learn to perfect your craft?

Luckily enough I was able to run into Jam Master Jay from Run DMC and he took an interest in (my music). He helped develop me as an artist in the very beginning (and) taught me my song structure.

He would make me write the chorus to the song twice or three times before we decided which one and then write the rest of the record. "P.I.M.P." has two (choruses) on the record and that instinctively comes from because of how I learned how to write music.

Who is your dream male collaborator?

Elon Musk .

I mean in music.

I'd do something with Eminem again. We'll do something again at some point.

Who is your dream female collaborator?

Nicki Minaj . She's on fire. She's still right there.

Would you ever retire from making music?

I've retired several times. Because specifically, hip-hop is not something that you "work." In the culture, you work in it and you start to look at everything that happens like new artists to keep in touch with what's going on in music.

You can't see limitations with hip-hop, because look at what artists from hip-hop have done. You look at Will Smith in film, Mark Wahlberg in film, you look at Queen Latifah , L.L. Cool J . They've done phenomenal work and it was harder to do it in the time because they wouldn't let people in, specifically African Americans.

2024 Preakness Stakes horses, futures, odds, date: Expert who nailed last year's superfecta makes picks

Jody demling revealed his preakness stakes 2024 picks for the second leg of horse racing's triple crown on saturday, may 18 at pimlico race course with race favorite muth scratched.

modonegalcbs.jpg

As trainers have aimed to extend the time between races, the path from the Kentucky Derby to the Preakness Stakes has become less common in recent years. The 2024 Preakness Stakes on Saturday features three Kentucky Derby horses, but one of the entrants will be the center of attention. Mystik Dan won the Kentucky Derby in thrilling fashion and will try to claim the second jewel of the Triple Crown at Pimlico Race Course. Mystik Dan was an under-the-radar horse at Churchill Downs as a 15-1 longshot, but he's the favorite at 8-5 in the 2024 Preakness Stakes odds.

Imagination (6-1), Catching Freedom (6-1) and Tuscan Gold (8-1) are next in line on the Preakness 2024 odds board following Muth scratching due to spiking a fever. The 2024 Preakness Stakes post time is 7:01 p.m. ET. Before making any 2024 Preakness Stakes picks, be sure to see the horse racing predictions and futures bets from SportsLine's elite horse racing expert Jody Demling .

A fixture in the horse racing world who has been writing about, talking about and betting on races for years, Demling enters the 2024 Kentucky Derby having nailed the winner of the Belmont Stakes four of the last six years, including an exacta in 2022 with Mo Donegal and Nest. He also called Flightline's win at the Breeders' Cup Classic in November of that year.

Demling is at his best in the biggest horse races in the world like the Preakness Stakes 2024. In fact, he has hit 11 of the last 16 Derby-Oaks doubles at Churchill Downs. He's also called 10 of the last 19 Preakness winners, including nailing his Preakness winner, exacta, trifecta and superfecta picks in 2023. He keenly understands when the Kentucky Derby winner was poised for victory or a massive upset in the second leg of the Triple Crown. Anyone who has followed him is up huge.

Now, with the 2024 Preakness Stakes quickly approaching, Demling is sharing his picks and 2024 Preakness Stakes predictions over at SportsLine. Go here to see them .

Top 2024 Preakness Stakes predictions

One of Demling's surprising 2024 Preakness Stakes picks: He is high on Catching Freedom, even though he's a 6-1 longshot. Trained by Brad Cox, Catching Freedom put forth a good effort at the Kentucky Derby. Catching Freedom charged home at Churchill Downs and finished fourth within two lengths of the trio that came down to a photo finish. Two starts ago, Catching Freedom kicked home to win the Louisiana Derby.

The three-year-old colt has now finished fourth or better in all six of his career races. Cox was hesitant about sending Catching Freedom to Baltimore initially after the Kentucky Derby, but he's loved how he has trained following that race. Demling notes that Cox "must like something" about Catching Freedom to enter him on Saturday, so he's including him in his 2024 Preakness Stakes bets.  See which other horses to back at SportsLine .

How to make 2024 Preakness Stakes picks, bets

Demling is especially high a dark-horse who could have a leg-up on the competition because of extra rest.  Demling is sharing which horse it is, and his surprising prediction for Kentucky Derby winner Mystik Dan, along with his entire projected 2024 Preakness Stakes leaderboard, over at SportsLine .

Which horse wins the Preakness Stakes 2024, and which dark-horse is a must-back? Check out the latest 2024 Preakness Stakes odds below, then visit SportsLine to see Demling's picks for the Preakness Stakes, all from the expert who nailed 11 Derby-Oaks doubles and hit last year's Preakness Stakes superfecta .
