As cruise lovers, we prefer to be on board in the middle of the sea than being on land, even virtually. But during those times we have to be away from the blue, we have modern-day storytellers that would bring us back right in the midst of the salty air–vloggers. Armed with cameras, microphones, tripods, and laptops, they tell stories that we love to immerse ourselves in.

Cruising is HOT and so are the Cruise Videos!

Now that cruising from the USA is moving full steam ahead, we’ve decided that 18 cruise vlogs just aren’t enough. We’ve added a few bonus channels to our list that we’ve found over the past year.

To help keep your bucket full, here’s a list of  the best cruise vlogs that are truly binge-worthy.

They are making astonishing progress, moving forward to 2020, having over 480 videos, more than 80,000 youtube subscribers, a Cruising academy, and almost 15 million viewers, their vlogs are treasure troves for both new and seasoned cruisers.

Sean & Stef  Updated 2021: Sadly Sean passed away after battling cancer in April 2021. Sean and Stef Mullen, are professional filmmakers who have won 3 Emmy awards, are producing informative but fun cruise vlogs that are topnotch.

Emma Cruises – Creator of the page “Cruising Isn’t Just For Old People,” Emma breaks the stereotyping of cruisers as old school. In her cruise vlogs, she features cabin tours, cruise booking tips, and tricks, ship reviews, and she genuinely sails the coolest ships making cruising hip for Millenials.

SoloCruiser – A solo traveller, Julia produces vlogs that present the reality of cruising, both good and bad. She started uploading videos on youtube in 2012 and shares her personal insights she has learned from various lines, which are extremely helpful for people who want to try cruising alone .

In The Loop Travel – John, the content creator of this innovative vlog, was able to integrate fitness into cruising. Their philosophy is to travel fit, travel happy, and travel often. He provided answers to health-conscious cruisers who do not want to miss out on both fun and fitness.

I Like Cruise Ships – This youtube channel launched a little over 3 years in creating video content and has been steadily gaining traction. Russell, who has worked on cruise ships for more than 20 years, is running this channel with the expertise we all need to know about cruising.

Cruising with Wheels – A channel that primarily focuses on everything about cruising and provides informative videos for accessibility on and off-board while cruising. To get the most out of your vacation, preparation is imperative when cruising with a disability , and watching vlogs of this sort is a massive help.

Cruise Radio – Cruise Radio has made it onto the list of both our favorite cruise blogs and now, one of our fav cruise vlogs. Their YouTube channel consists of over 26,000 subscribers and over 4 million total views on their videos. Since launching the website in 2009, founder Doug Parker has created exceptional content, whether that’s on the website, podcast or video.  Their ship tours are well done, informative and interesting.

Popular Cruising – Jason Leppert, the genius behind Popular Cruising, produces in-depth cruise reviews and tour views. He acquired his passion for cruising from his parents when he was just 2 years old, and after 130 sailings, I don’t think there’s stopping Jason from embarking . You’ll definitely love his behind-the-scenes cruise explorations, previews on upcoming ships and shoreside excursions.

Cruise Fever – Founded by two brothers who are passionate about cruising –Ben Souza and Jonathan Mark. These siblings made sure that their viewers are not just obtaining tips, reviews, and ship information — they keep their followers posted on the latest trends and news in the cruising industry. Their youtube channel has over 40,000 subscribers and about 17,000,000 views.

Paul & Carole Love to Travel – Paul and Carole have travelled to over 40 countries, tried different kinds of accommodations, and have been to 19 cruises. Now they want to give back to the cruising world by offering their honest opinions through their festive vlogs.

Griff & Alyssa – A lovely couple who adores cruising shares their adventures and provides informative videos with fantastic cinematography. Their content is perfect for cruise veterans and new cruisers alike who are looking for reliable information about their next travel.

Jim Zimmerlin – Jim has been running his own youtube channel since 2006 and has attained almost 300,000,000 views. People love him, he is an enjoyable person to watch with videos that offer varieties of fun – from cruising, trains, American Cocker Spaniel dogs to expensive toys.

La Lido Loca – Started uploading videos on youtube April of 2017, and they haven’t stopped since. In their lively vlogs, they generously share practical tips and realities of cruising that can help anyone in making informed decisions for their next cruise. To help out the cruising community, they created a Facebook community called La Lido Loca Community to help answer questions about cruising and provide a platform for wonderful travelling stories to be shared on.

Josh Hocum – Travel, Sleep, Repeat –that is Josh’s mantra. Though he seems laid back, he creates videos with thrilling cruise contents that transports viewers right at the very deck of each featured ship. If you are interested in the Carnival, you’ll love him more because a lot of the videos in his channel features the Carnival. His 3.8 million viewers are enough testament that he produces one of the best cruise vlogs out there.

Paro DeeJay – Since July of 2013, Jay and his wife Dee have been uploading content on youtube, which now has 685 videos and almost 2.8 million views. Besides the undeniable fact that they provide cruise tips, reviews, and tours of different cruise lines, what sets them apart is their amusing parody songs and cover tunes.

EECC Travels – An absolute must-watch vlog for families who enjoy cruising together. EECC Travels is composed of Alisa and Jason (Couple) and three sons. They make travelling as a family doable, especially for those who have children and haven’t tried cruising. You can check out their channel and be ready to be inspired to travel with the whole fam.

Trev & Chels – Viewers absolutely love this young couple on their travels, with the traction of over 56 million views, there’s a reason why cruisers are captivated by them. They create videos with superb editing and perfect voice-overs that feature their cruise experiences vividly, and it is keeping people hooked.

Talking Cruise – Equipped with the current news, cruise ship tours, and topics from around the world of cruising in a fun and unique format. Hosted by Chris Cardona, with 19 years of working in the cruise industry, his channel is a gem for anyone who’s planning to go on a cruise.

In today’s post, I’m excited to share five YouTube channels that have significantly fueled my love for cruising. This diverse collection of vloggers spans the globe, predominantly from the US and UK. Each one is a seasoned cruiser, bringing a unique perspective and wealth of experience to their content.

They have brought their knowledge to different cruises I want to take soon. Such as an Alaskan cruise, Mediterranean dream cruise and much more! So, grab a comfortable spot and dive into the world of these captivating maritime enthusiasts.

Views and Queues

Travel spree, cruise with ben and david, emma cruises, la lido loca.

Views and Queues is the first cruising channel I really started watching faithfully. So I guess you can say they are the ones who got me hooked on cruise videos. Both Kerry and Brian are younger cruisers, both in their mid to late 20’s, I believe. So they bring a fresh new perspective to the cruising world.

With a younger lens, they focus on aspects of cruising that cater to their generation. Whether it’s the adrenaline-pumping onboard activities, the trendy onboard entertainment, or the delicious food they dive into each video, they capture the essence of what younger and older cruisers such as me, crave. Their videos are more than just reviews; they’re experiences, adventures, and stories rolled into one.

When it comes to engaging cruise content, the magic often lies in its presenters. Fain & Laura, the lively duo behind “Travel Spree”, consistently bring a fresh and entertaining perspective to the table. Their infectious energy and passion for travel make every video a visual treat. They are entertaining and create binge worthy content.

Also, I just enjoy their content. What color will Fain’s hair be this video? I have been making a list and checking it twice to see which cruise I want to go on next. Travel Spree has cruised on all the cruise lines that I want to cruise as well. So basically this is a video series of the cruises I take next.

Another favorite of mine is Cruise with Ben and David. They are the first UK couple on my list. Their videos are very entertaining to say the least. Cruise with Ben and David: A Blend of Humour and Expertise on the High Seas. They really do make an already entertaining video even more fun to watch and learn from. These guys are very funny and a wealth of knowledge when it come to cruising.

Ben and David bring a unique, quintessentially British charm to the cruise vlogging landscape. But it’s not just about the accent; it’s about the delightful fusion of wit, humor, and genuine insights.

With a staggering count of over 100 cruises under their belts (I believe), these seasoned sailors stand unrivaled in experience on my list. Every voyage they undertake adds to their expansive sea-faring narrative, making each of their videos a chapter worth watching.

Emma Cruises is not just the second British vlogger on my favorite list but a gem in the world of cruise vlogging. Her content radiates authenticity, interspersed with delightful British wit and humor, making every video both enlightening and entertaining.

Emma is mainly a solo cruiser, this is an interest of mine as well. There are times when a nice cruise to get away from life is very well warranted and Emma explains them perfectly.

Among the many features that make Emma Cruises stand out is the delightful presence of Captain Hudson. This fluffy feline companion often makes appearances in Emma’s videos, adding a touch of whimsy and warmth. Not only does Captain Hudson bring joy to viewers with his playful antics, but he also serves as a testament to Emma’s approachable and down-to-earth style.

While most cruise vloggers focus solely on the ins and outs of cruising, Emma seamlessly blends her personal life, symbolized by Captain Hudson, into her channel, making her content both informative and heartwarming.

The final entry on my list of favorite YouTube cruisers in La Lido Loca, who brings Cruises News to your face daily. Tony is an interesting cruiser to say the least. I enjoy his humor and spin on the cruising world. He brings a daily dose of cruise news to us…well everyday, except Sunday.

Tony, the face behind “La Lido Loca”, is not your average YouTube cruise channel. His approach to the cruising world is layered with wit, humor, and an innate ability to highlight important details. Whether it’s the launch of a new cruise liner or an update the latest victim to “fall” off a ship, Tony delivers the news in a way that’s both informative and entertaining.

While I may not possess the same cruising background as these YouTube cruisers, I have found great value in their content. My cruising experience mainly comes from the US Navy’s USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. I have sailed the 7 seas aboard this ship, well most of them haha.

I have sailed from Australia to Hong Kong to Dubai and back many times. Now I want to explore other ports of call such as the Caribbean and my bucket list dream cruises to the Mediterranean, Alaska and many other great locations.

The port of Nawiliwili is located on the island of Kauai . Kauai is the oldest island in the Hawaiian archipelago and is nicknamed the Garden Island. You will find white sandy beaches and lush nature. Kauai has 43 beaches and its landscapes are spectacular. The Waimea Canyon nicknamed “Grand Canyon of the Pacific” and the coast of Na Pali are two majestic examples.

There are only two seasons, the drier summer, and the wetter, cloudy winter. But as everywhere in the islands of Hawaii, the showers are very short and few are the days when you do not see the sun.

Where is located the Port of Nawiliwili Cruise Terminal

The fascinating history of the island is presented at the Kauai Museum through a variety of permanent and temporary exhibitions of ancient tools, furniture, porcelain, clothing, shells, bird specimens, photographs and original paintings by artists of the island.

The cliffs of Na Pali form a 915 meters wall on 35 km on the northwest coast of Kauai. The 10 magnificent valleys that line these ramparts are all uninhabited and accessible only by foot, boat or helicopter. The panorama is accentuated by lava arches, white sand beaches and caves hidden by waterfalls. Several companies offer excursions along Na Pali during the summer months.

Waimea Canyon

Waimea Canyon is one of Hawaii’s seven wonders with sixteen kilometers long, 1.6 km wide and more than 1000 meters deep. It was carved by rivers and the resulting rains at the top of Mount Waialeale. With an average of 460 centimetres of annual rainfall, this region ranks among the wettest places on the planet. You can enjoy stunning views of the gorge from numerous lookouts along Waimea Canyon Drive or from a helicopter. Hikers can choose from 11 trails of varying duration and difficulty.

Kokee State Park

The Kokee State Park stretches over 4,345 hectares on the west side of Kauai. A network of 19 hiking trails spans more than 55 km. Free guided walks are planned on weekends during the summer (reservations are required). The park also offers a natural history museum.

Kilauea National Wildlife Refuge

This refuge was established on February 15, 1985 to protect and encourage the spread of migratory birds and native coastal plants. You will see several birds and perhaps dolphins, seals and green sea turtles.

Limahuli Natural Reserve

The Limahuli Garden and Nature Reserve are part of the National Tropical Botanical Garden and aims to protect and study rare and endangered tropical plant species.

The Wilcox family has made an important contribution to Kauai’s development in business, politics and community service. Get a glimpse into the lives of two generations of Wilcox by visiting the Sugar Plantation Manor, Grove Farm.

Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens

This botanical garden showcases gardens, an exotic fruit farm and a plantation of teak, rosewood, mahogany and other tropical hardwoods.

Dubbed the “Largest Small Town” of Kauai, includes historic sites, shops and art galleries.

Excursions in Nawiliwili, Kauai

• For nature: visit the Waimea Canyon or cruise on the Wailua River and visit a cave in which a choir sings.
• For culture: excursion to see a Luau , a traditional Hawaiian show
• Visit the filming locations of many films.

If you are looking for cruise content and the best cruising vlogging channels to follow this, I hope, will be a helpful.

I have updated my tracker of the (now) 175 cruise vlog channels I am aware of on YouTube with subscribers and all-time views as of 7 February 2023.

As this is now such a huge, and time consuming task, I have only listed the 50 largest (based on subscribers) in the online table below. Port of San Diego Releases Fifth Edition of its Blue Economy Incubator Highlights Report

The Port of San Diego has released the fifth edition of its Blue Economy Incubator Report , which features the program’s impact in numbers, a growing list of worldwide partnerships, local, national and international media coverage including a Ted Talk featuring BEI Program Director Paula Sylvia, and more.

As a catalyst for the region’s Blue Economy, the Port established its Blue Economy Incubator in 2016 as a launch pad for sustainable aquaculture and Port-related blue technology ventures. In the eight years since the Port launched the Blue Economy Incubator, it remains the only such program based at and operated by a port.

“The Port of San Diego’s Blue Tech Bay is yet another example of how we are leading the way in creative business ventures all while delivering on our promise to be good stewards of San Diego Bay,” said Chairman Frank Urtasun, Port of San Diego Board of Port Commissioners. “As our Blue Economy Incubator grows, the Port will continue to make waves and be recognized as a port of firsts.”

The report spotlights partnerships with organizations like 1,000 Ocean Startups, Blue Action, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Ocean-based Climate Resilience Accelerators Program, and the Start Blue program at Scripps Institute of Oceanography.

The program’s impact in numbers includes:

• $5.4 million in investments leveraged by Blue Economy Incubator companies.
• $2.5 million in research and development funds leveraged by Blue Economy Incubator companies.
• $1.95 million in funding to support the launch of sustainable aquaculture and blue tech pilot projects.
• 44 million impressions from local, national, and global media coverage including TedTalk San Diego, The Cool Down, Ocean Optimism podcast, and more.
• 20 million juvenile-stage oysters expected to be produced annually when Shelley Diego Bay Aquaculture’s FLUPSY is fully permitted and operating at full capacity.

To date, the Board of Port Commissioners has approved ten agreements with early-stage companies, including one re-investment, to launch innovative pilot projects, six of which have been completed. HyperKelp is the latest addition and is scheduled this summer to launch five smart buoy platforms that will monitor underwater noise levels and various water quality parameters for The Port’s environmental monitoring initiatives. Throughout the program, the Port has received multiple awards recognizing its unique approach to Port-based Blue Economy innovation through pilot project facilitation and has been recognized by state and federal agencies, industry, and academia for providing pathways for the sustainable development of aquaculture and blue technology in the region. Most recently the Port and ECOncrete were honored by The Climate Registry (TCR) with the Innovative Partnership Award in the 2024 Climate Leadership Awards.
