I bought a trek marlin two years ago , it’s garbage , the frame’s good but everything they put on the bike is garbage , the tires, the rims , the breaks everything is on the cheaper side , I had to change everything on the bike ……. Don’t buy a trek there’s better bikes on the market

Getting parts for a 6 parts hard to find

Trek Bramhall - great service …

Nipped into Trek Bramhall to buy a bike pump - great customer service and so helpful. I asked if they could let me know what size bike my daughter should be riding - but of a shock that the 16inch is whey to small - need a 24inch . Really grateful for assistance and guidance. Thank you

POOR customer service

I ordered something from trek and I'm still waiting. Trying to contact customer care is a joke. The website says it has a chat option... never comes up!! I called the number 3 times now and all I get is "we are in a meeting please call back later!! no email available for customer care...

Puncture repair

Went in to get a puncture repaired. Emerson, the guy that sorted it was great. As I had had one repaired only the previous week he kindly only charged me for the inner tube despite putting a new tyre on. Thank you very much!

Multiple Bontrager Line Pro 30 failures!

Multiple Bontrager Line Pro 30 wheel drive-ring failures. 3 on the 2017 to 2020 model. And now 2 on the 2021 to 2023. They lie about using new glue. They refuse to say there is a problem. It's been a full month for me now being caught up in a warranty process for the 2nd 2023 failure. This is because the warranty department doesn't check the wheels before they ship. This same department, lied about sending out a replacement wheel that they would personally make sure is true with PROPER spoke tension. Have written multiple emails and still no response! If you buy a Trek / Bontrager product, you will sadly be their guinea pig! I'd say their engineers are worthless and it's the "Trek" mechanics that are there to polish absolute Trek / Bontrager junk. So sad!

Their frames don’t last.

I work for a bike shop that actually sells trek. I’ve bought treks in the past had no issues with them. Fast forward to 2018 bought myself a trek dual sport + ebike for commuting. Up until this year it’s been a decent bike until I noticed when I was cleaning it part of the paint flaked off just above the motor. Upon further inspection it turns out the metal plate is badly corroded. I contacted trek and put in a warranty claim. I got no response, no phone call no email, they just cancelled the claim saying it was a stone chip and the water had gotten under the paint and corroded it. I tried emailing someone at trek and asked them to please take another look at the claim. Over a week and no response. I know corrosion is natural and not caused by poor manufacture but there are stone chips on the down tube and no corrosion. As a bike mechanic of over 10 years it looks like the frame has no paint or lacier between the frame and motor so moisture gets trapped there and yeah corrodes the metal. The total lack of response is just really bad customer service and to have the batteries in my purion display out last the frame is laughable. I won’t be buying another trek. I wasn’t expecting much maybe a loyalty discount on a new frame or something but no response at all. I’ll find it pretty hard to recommend trek to anyone in the future just as well our shop sells other brands!

Don't buy a Trek

I bought a trek slash for my son. This was purchased new and its an extremely disappointing bike. We ride together and my giant has done the same amount of work as his trek with no problems and the trek at 1 year old needed bearings, bottom bracket, new rear wheel, dropper post fixed, new chain and sprockets plus brake pads and tyres. I would NEVER buy another as they aren't worth the money

Cheap made in China rubbish

Hello . Went to my local Trek store to look at the new FX3 hybrid cycle. I was so disappointed with the build quality. The welding of the frame was shocking. I ask the assistant regarding this and he said the FX3 are made in China not Taiwan. I walked away . Cheap, nasty bike. Made in China. Regards Mr Harris

Brilliant service

Ordered something from another company which Royal Mail seem to have lost. The company couldn’t guarantee delivery in time after a second order so advised I go straight to Trek. They couldn’t have been more helpful. She understood the stress caused, suggested a solution, organised delivery for the next day, and checked in. Brilliant service

I arrived looking for a modest mountain…

I arrived looking for a modest mountain bike. The rep tried to sell me a £6,000 electric bike, and then a £1,800 mountain bike, and then implied I was looking for a kids bike when I said I was after something more reasonable for my use cases. The jokes on him because I actually had the budget but ended up paying only £300 for a bike elsewhere (Cycle King in Stony) previously listed at £600. It has everything I need - a lightweight frame, front suspension, 27.5 tyres, hydraulic disk brakes, 21 gears. What more do I need for my modest use cases? I got to spend hundreds more on accessories like my £90 bib shorts, £100 portable jet spray, saddle, mounted camera and case, phone case, pump, locks, chain tool and more! All for less than 1/3 of what Trek could apparently offer me. I'll never return to Trek. Taken it out 5-6 times and very happy with my £300 bike. Cheers!

Incredible customer service

waovv... I have had issues converting my tubular wheels to tubeless so I have ordered new set of wheels considering I might have got them damaged but the new ones had the same issue so I decided to call the customer service and waov.... Never had such a great after sale customer service experience since last few years. Tam S. has really been a great help from the first moment and I think this should be recognised.

Cheaper components than advertised

Through a supplier I recieved a bike with cheaper components and one that doesn't fit properly (and makes the bike unrideable). I sent a note to Trek's customer service only to get a message saying they can just change parts. So you won't always get what you're paying for!

Not delivering their promise (yet again)

Yet again a crap service from Trek Benelux : ordered my bike (Trek Domane+ AL5) early January 2024, delivery was promised for April, then postponed till August, and now again to September (at earliest). Unacceptable, I used to buy a new bike almost every year, but now I'll cancel this order and will change definitely to another brand, due to the service from Trek Benelux, which is not the first time. Trek looses yet another loyal client due to their poor delivery commitment and internal mis-planning.

Horrible bike for the price

Brought a trek slash 8 brand new after a year I spent 2k on getting it fixed and it’s always rattling and all my mates that have trek have the same problems as me. For the price I payed it’s so disappointing it’s got way to much bontrager which is pretty bad and the bearing are awful.

I had a persistence problem with a trek mountain bike I purchased from a retailer. I was quite perturbed and perplexed by the whole matter. So I decided to go straight to the manufacturer Trek. I spoke to a Gentleman by the name of Tam who patiently and compassionately listened to my complaint. Then he diligently worked upon my case which resulted in a full refund for me, within 24 hours. I can't thank you enough👏 10 out of 10 for customer service😁 Cheers, Tam This man needs a wage rise..!

Worst Quality Bike ever owned

Just the worst quality bike I’ve ever owned (Trek Domane) In 1 year I’ve had to replace The back wheel twice, The saddle bolt,The bottom bracket, The cassette, The chain, The back brakes, Both tyres and more that I’ve forgotten I’ve honestly spent more on the bike than what I paid for the bike It’s quite obvious that these are built with cheap components that wont last so the customer is forced to return time after time to get it fixed racking up more money on top of what was paid for the bike I’ve had no help from Trek (Battersea) as they say these are all wearable parts not covered under warranty so basically the only part that’s not wearable is the frame I would highly recommend you stay away from this company at all costs unless you want to spend more in the long run
