Movies today would be nothing without the movies of yesteryear -- the classics, the inspirers, the motivators, the innovators, and the auteurs. Since there are so many classic movies to choose from, it's usually heavily debated which are the essentials and the go-to’s, but today is just another one of those days. Some of these are chosen for their revolutionary impact on the film industry, others are chosen for their undeniably charismatic and downright badass lead characters. For whatever reason, that film made it on this list and we are here to appreciate it as one within the golden age of film. Starting from the top, all of these films are pre-1970s, so we will be talking about each of them in chronological release order. Since this list of the best classic movies might be unlike others you’ve seen, strap in because this list is thematically sporadic and may not be agreeable for some.

The Wizard of Oz (1939)

It's hard to argue there's a more entertaining celebrity interview show that can beat the Hot Ones. Host Sean Evans interviews celebrities over a tray of increasingly spicy chicken wings, but the concept is only part of the fun. Evans is a deft interviewer with immense skills. The questions he poses to guests are often much more personal, wacky, or even humanistic than the typical fare on a late-night talk show or another interview series. The combination of hot sauce insanity and personalized questions make it unlike any other online show.

With over 20 seasons, Hot Ones has become something of a YouTube sensation, but has now gone beyond YouTube. Like Between Two Ferns or some of the best episodes of Seinfeld, the show derives its comic gold from seemingly nothing at all. There's spontaneity, surprisingly interesting small talk, and an occasional revelation or two, all set to the requisite watering eyes and nose-blowing that come with eating hot wings. Guests routinely forget the questions that are posited, thrown off completely by the intensity of the hot sauces.

Although it's been off the air for almost a decade, Suits remains incredibly popular. The show became a phenomenon all over again when it arrived on Netflix, and the intrigue around Meghan Markle has only made the show more interesting for some.

With a library as vast as Netflix has, it's hard to pick out the best Netflix travel shows, but we're here to help you with that. 

Of course, it's ironic that just as the world opens up again post-pandemic, the cost of living has sky-rocketed. We guess that means putting off that week by the beach in Barcelona once again. Sigh. 

Still, there’s always armchair travel…no, stay with us! Netflix has a stellar supply of shows to watch for those suffering from a bad case of wanderlust; from food-focused odysseys and challenge-based travels to light-hearted looks at other global cultures with some incredible scenery providing the backdrop.

Whether it’s European mini-breaks or South-East Asian vacations that get you dreaming of far-off places, here’s 10 of the best to inspire your next travels. Just think of them as extra research for that bucket list trip...

Ugly Delicious

A fast-paced travelogue fusing food and travel together - well, why mess with a classic combination? - sees David Chang, boss of noodle giant Momofuku, weigh in on all the most important food items and how different cultures across the globe make them. 

Obviously, that means pizza from Italy, but an elevated slice of the pie in Tokyo; tacos from a celebrated food truck in LA, but a twist on the traditional in Mexico from Noma restaurant. Good travel series push the imagination and our world views and this certainly gives us our fill. 

Waffles + Mochi

On the face of it, this is cute show for kids, which is executive-produced by and stars Michelle Obama, no less, but it's actually one of the best examples of a series doing the double by being both entertaining for children and adults. 

A show based around a moon boot-wearing creature made from frozen waffles and mochi ball made sentient might not make any sense whatsoever, but who cares when it’s this joyous? The two puppet buddies - who work at a supermarket, alongside Ms. Obama - learn about different foods, and travel the world doing it; from whizzing up high in the Andes to try potatoes to searching out the best herbs and spices from a market in Venice, Italy. 

The bromance of South Korean singer-actor Lee Seung-gi and Taiwanese favourite Jasper Liu is at the heart of this 2020 series; as the pair are challenged by fans to missions across Asia, despite speaking different languages. Challenge accepted! 

Taking in stunning locations across Indonesia, Thailand and Nepal the duo prove they’re more than just handsome faces as they triumph in treasure hunts and games like rock, paper, scissors to end up in the final destination of Seoul. Kind of like Squid Game, on the road, but without all the death.   

The World’s Most Amazing Vacation Rentals

If your thumbs idly end up scrolling the Airbnb app in your down time; then this is the show for you. Three intrepid explorers - okay, hosts with seemingly unlimited expense accounts - travel the world to find the best places to rest your head on holiday. It’s not all luxury cabins on stilts in the Maldives though, as the series prides itself on catering for all budgets and all tastes. 

Top of our wishlist is the Area 55 prefab Futuro glamping pod ($225 a night), or the glass-domed eco-lodge - complete with sauna - in the heart of a Finnish winter wonderland (a casual $500 per night). Time to get saving.  

Down To Earth With Zac Efron

Zac Efron, you say? Tween heartthrob from High School Musical, Zac Efron? Yep, but he’s now the poster boy for sustainable travel, segueing into an unexpected career choice back in 2020's Down To Earth With Zac Efron. 

With big bro-on-a-gap-year energy, Zac travels to places like Iceland, Sardinia, Peru and the Amazon to learn about eco-living and renewable energy, which is much more interesting than it initially sounds, and is arguably the way we should all be thinking about travelling now.  

Big Narstie's Big Jamaica

“Man’s off on a mission to the motherland: Jamaica,” the big-selling rapper Big Narstie informs us at the beginning of this 2020 travel doc, and we’re honoured to be able to join him. Both the rapper’s parents hail from Jamaica, and he jets off home again with a candid and witty look into dancehall culture and the food scene. 

Cut to some incredible looking munchies: a mix of Jamaican and Chinese food from the Jamaican equivalent of a “motorway caff”. “My belly comes first!” Narstie says. Naturally.  

Travels With My Father

Like him or loathe him, there’s something quite enjoyable about Jack Whitehall travelling the world with his cantankerous old dad who “hates being away from home”. 

The father-and-son duo take on places like Thailand, Romania and Australia over five series, and even if you fall on the side of ‘loathe’ it’s always amusing watching Jack get cut down to size by his no-nonsense father, sorry, “Daddy”. Very much playing up to the ‘posh Brits on tour’ stereotype, this sometimes definitely scripted series won’t do much for our nation’s reputation around the world, but it does make for a fun watch. 

There’s light-entertainment travel japes like the Whitehall family’s adventures above: then there’s death-defying expeditions that could only be described as extreme holidaying. 14 Peaks is definitely the latter, as it follows British-Nepalese high-altitude climber, Nirmal Purja, as he tries to ascend all of the world’s 14 8,000-feet high mountains within seven months. 

Hiking up insanely dangerous summits - that require oxygen masks after 7,500 feet - across China, Pakistan and Nepal, this documentary also tracks the heady heights of human endurance. Does he manage what he sets out to achieve? Well, we’ll leave that up to you to find out.    

Expedition Happiness

A hipster German couple decide to sack off Berlin and take up #vanlife instead in this self-filmed documentary. Mogli - aka Selima - and her boyfriend Felix (who previously filmed himself cycling around the world for the Netflix doc Pedal The World) buy an old American school bus for $9,500, convert it into the most bijoux of apartments-on-wheels and as they plan to travel from Alaska to Argentina. 

After a hairy moment when it looks like US immigration won’t give them a visa, soon they’re on the road, travelling through gorgeous mountain vistas and turquoise lakes and the pretty, colourful small towns of Mexico. There are mishaps along the way - and they have to divert their trip at the last moment - but it’s nice to be along for the ride. 

Dark Tourist

 Still gutted you can’t hop on a plane to paradise right now? Honestly, watching this show you might well be glad your bum has made a permanent imprint on your sofa. 

The host, Kiwi journalist David Farrier, explores the dark underside of tourism; from border crossing re-enactments in Mexico and Manson family murder tours to a visit to the still highly radioactive Fukushima nuclear power plant and - disturbingly - being shown the latest military weapons in Phnom Penh. Perhaps another staycation isn’t so bad after all...

3. Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted

Watch Gordon Ramsay travel the world, learning old-world methods of cooking from locals, in his new food-based travel show on Disney + . In Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted , viewers experience the chef abandoning his reputation as a loud, hyper-critical judge. Instead, he spends his time learning new techniques and trying new food, incredibly excited to be there and impressed by every meal he tries. Each episode features a new location and new group of welcoming locals excited to share the history of their food. There are two seasons available already, with season three set to air in mid-2021.

4. Our Planet

Narrated by David Attenborough, Netflix’s Our Planet offers an in-depth exploration of the world’s habitats, focusing on the effects of climate change and global warming. 6. Long Way Up

Reunited for their third joint travel adventure show, Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman go on an ambitious motorcycle ride in Apple TV’s Long Way Up . Starting in Ushuaia, a city at the tip of South America, the two friends ride for more than 100 days and 13,000 miles, crossing borders and country lines, making their way into Argentina, Chile, and Peru, all the way up to Central America and Mexico. Fans of Long Way Round and Long Way Down will love this third installment, all of which is available for streaming.

7. Street Food

For another food-based travel show, try Netflix’s Street Food , and its two available seasons, Street Food: Asia and Street Food: Latin America . Each episode takes place in a different city, with interviews of three to four street food chefs and their featured dishes. This show takes a deep dive not only into the cuisine, but primarily into the people who make it, emphasizing the journey of the individual cooks. The featured dishes are often region-specific and emblematic of the conditions and circumstances of both the city and the chef. The show focuses on the vendors’ backstories, teaching viewers about local poverty, history, culture, and identity.

Ugly Delicious is a relatively new food focused travel show that follows celebrity chef David Chang, founder of Momofuku, as he explores both across the United States and internationally. The episodes are loose and casual, showing Chang investigating the history of different regional cuisines and food rivalries. His guests range widely including other chefs, writers, actors, and artists, but they tend to share similar air time to the restaurant owners and people off the street. The focus blurs between culture and personal, feeling like you’re the fly on a wall while interesting people who love food hang out and chat about it. There’s no way to watch it and not be itching to travel to a new region and try some of the foods they highlight!

Travels With My Father

From the moment they touchdown in Bangkok, Thailand and make their way to the famous Khao San Road, the Netflix series Travels with my Father  will capture your heart, and tickle your funny bone.

Chronicling the experiences of British father and son duo, Jack and Michael Whitehall, this laugh a minute series not only showcases some of the globe’s most famous destinations but features the offbeat, slightly sarcastic relationship between Jack, a 30-something comedian still longing for his backpacker days and Michael, his elderly ever-suffering dad. The drama (and the giggles) are mostly driven by the vastly different travel styles of the two: Jack, the singlet and loud shorts-wearing millennial who is most comfortable in questionable hostels and eating street food and Michael, a slightly uptight luxury traveller who insists on wearing his ‘Sunday best’ on the streets of Southeast Asia and checking into five star hotels.

Our Planet is one of David Attenborough’s latest documentary series and was made directly for Netflix. Like all his other series, this one is beautifully shot, highly informative and well-loved by all the family. What sets One Planet apart from some of the others however is the focus upon how human life and global warming are destroying these natural havens. Attenborough takes us to some of the most beautiful and peaceful places on Earth before showing us the tragic consequences that have left other, similar areas barren wastelands.

Alternating between land and sea, you’ll go to the desert, the depths of the ocean, the jungles and the coast. This is an important one for avid travellers because it will jointly inspires us to travel more of the world’s secluded locations but also to do so in a way which doesn’t disturb our planet.

Emily in Paris

Emily in Paris is about a young American woman who lands a job in a Parisian marketing firm. The show was created by the same person as Sex and The City and has a similar vibe only instead of New York heavily features Paris. It is fun, somewhat campy and an easy watch. While I wouldn’t recommend it as an entirely accurate portrayal of French culture, the scenery is absolutely beautiful and reminds me why Paris is one of my all-time favorite cities.

An Idiot Abroad

An Idiot Abroad is a hysterical British travel docu-series following Karl Pilkington, a man that one could call an “idiot savant”. What everyone has to know about Karl is, he really does not like to travel. Knowing this, his friends Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, who one may know as famous British comedic actors, send Karl on epic adventures all across the world, with some twists and pranks along the way. These are the kind of trips that most people would kill for, but to Karl, he’d rather be home with a cup of tea. One of the highlights of the show is the Karl-isms along the way, such as: “The Great Pyramid is overrated. It’s a bad design. The lounge is going to be huge, but the bedroom is going to be tiny.” This is really not your typical travel show, and that’s what makes it a must-watch!

Where to Watch: This show is a few years old, so it is not currently airing anywhere in the US (it was created for Sky TV in the UK). In the US, you can buy it digitally on platforms such as Amazon Prime , Vudu , and iTunes .

The Layover

The Layover was just one of the many travel shows that featured everyone’s favourite food traveller Anthony Bourdain. It aired for three seasons between 2011-2013 and after watching the very first episode on a 48-hour visit to New York it will likely change the way you travel forever.

No longer will you book the fastest trip to your destination. A stopover is not viewed as a hardship it is now something to embrace. The series covered 20 cities and racing against the clock Bourdain showed the audience the best things to eat, see and do, usually with a knowledgeable local as his sidekick.

The pace at times seems a little exhausting and you may not manage to cover as much in your 24 hours as the pro’s do but they make it easy for you to pick a few things for your next visit.

The team covered almost all of the main transit hubs across Asia, Europe and the USA including Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco and NYC. Next time you find a cheap flight because of a long stopover check the series list and start making some plans.

One of my favorite travel shows that turned me onto traveling was watching the PBS travel programs with Rick Steve’s. Primarily focused on travels in Europe, Rick Steve’s showcased an amazing series of places to visit around Europe and each lovely country. He initially visits a destination and hops around with a local expert to show the highlights, enjoy some local food and drink and see some cultural treasures along with connecting with locals, merchants and everyday people. It makes it so fascinating to watch his programs and really shows audiences the connection with people, place, culture and food makes traveling to Europe so wonderful and fun. Rick Steve’s has created a lot of guide books about individual countries that you can purchase or just watch his TV series on PBS for inspiration for planning a trip to a specific country in Europe that has always been on your bucklist of places to visit. So if you are looking for inspiration about a particular country with all the bells and whistles of what makes each area so unique and special, check out any of his programs on TV. You’ll be hooked and wanting to binge watch all of his programs in a row.

One of the best shows to watch for those that love combining travel with beverages and food is Booze Traveler, a show by The Travel Channel that showcases a host traveling around the world in search for special alcoholic drinks in countries that he visits. I actually helped with a couple of the episodes back in the day (Lithuania and Armenia ) and it really brought to light how many unique drinks exist in every place that you travel! They travel across the globe from Hawaii to Armenia to Nepal and beyond. It is a really refreshing show!

Planet Earth

The award-winning, BBC documentary series, Planet Earth was first shown in 2006. It took four years to film, using 71 cameramen in 64 different countries. The series was the most expensive nature documentary series ever commissioned by the BBC and the first to be filmed in high definition. The 11 episode series is narrated by David Attenborough and celebrates the natural world in a way you’ve never seen it before. Each episode features a different biome or habitat on Earth and lasts 50 minutes plus an extra 10 minutes of behind the scenes footage showing the challenges of filming the episode.

Ten years after the first series, Planet Earth II was released showing how animals meet the challenges of surviving in the most iconic habitats on earth. A third sequel is planned to air in 2022.

In this show, Brown showcases some lesser-known destinations, like the Texas Hill Country, and covers things to do in that area. Although she does still cover larger, well-known cities, such as Shanghai, she will not just list the main tourist sites. Instead, she interacts with the locals and finds unique things to do in that location.

Joanna Lumley’s Silk Road Adventure

In this 2018 miniseries, British actress and supermodel, Joanna Lumley (you may recognize her from the 1990s comedy sitcom Absolutely Fabulous) retraces parts of the fabled Silk Road trading route from the perspective of a tourist.

Over four episodes, she travels from Venice to Uzbekistan via Iran, Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan, visiting caravanserais, fire temples and bazaars along the way. This series brings to life the cross-pollination of ideas and influences that characterizes this part of the world where East intersects with West.

Lumley’s dry British humor and insatiable curiosity make her a terrific host. Even if you’re never considered visiting Central Asia and the Caucasus before, this series will inspire you to follow the footsteps of Marco Polo on one of the most epic overland journeys of all time.

Travel Man is a 30 minute British TV show hosted by Richard Ayoade shown on Channel 4 (UK). Each week, he travels with someone for a quick getaway (48-72 hours) and breaks down tourist sites, what to eat, facts about the city and banters around with his co-presenter for the week. For people living abroad, you can watch some of the shows on Channel 4’s website, and there are also full episodes available on Travel Man’s official YouTube channel . What makes the show interesting is that the host, Richard Ayoade, is not a big traveler nor is he a big fan of trying new things. It makes for a great perspective on how to plan quick weekend getaways for those who are planning trips with people who don’t like to travel and how to make it interesting for them. It also makes the series very funny because watching the host’s reactions and monologues is absolutely priceless.

The Amazing Race

The Amazing Race is our favorite travel show and we have been watching it from the beginning. The American reality competition show has aired 32 seasons on CBS since its premiere in 2001. If you enjoy the drama of reality competition shows and are also a travel lover then you will love The Amazing Race . Each season takes place in a few different countries and in total The Amazing Race has visited over 90 different countries and six continents. Teams of two people (usually couples, friends, or family members) race around the world, solving clues and completing tasks and challenges along the way. Relationships are tested and there are sometimes arguments between teammates and with other teams. The last team to finish each leg is eliminated until three teams race to the finish line in order to win $1 million. Fun fact: We actually applied to be on the show as a sisters team (more than ten years ago and long before we started this blog) but alas we were not chosen!

James May also has some other travel shows that can be found on Netflix, Youtube, etc. Although it’s a Vlog and not a true TV show I would add Kara and Nate’s Vlog show from Youtube. They have visited over a 100 countries and it’s one of the best. If you’ve never watched them, just start with their first show and binge watch it through to today.

I’ll recommend a few new ones. AppleTV has “Long Way Up” from the “Long Way Down” and “Long Way Around” fame. Actor Ewan McGregor and his friend, Charley Boorman from the tip of South America to Los Angeles on electric Harley Davidson motorcycles. I pretty much hate AppleTV+ but this show is so very good. You might check out Max&Lee on Youtube which has recently continued on with Max&Occy. This is one of many Vanlife travel vlogs but it’s better than most. Start at the beginning with Max & Lee and work your way forward for good binge-watching. I will also add in a bonus travel vlog from YouTube and that is Sergio & Rhoda in Isreal. This couple travels around Isreal and shows details about various historical sites with a local flair. Very interesting for those that enjoy this region.

Personalities and friendships are the focus of this film, so even non-cyclists will enjoy this documentary.

21. Singapore Social: a reality series that follows some of the young, rich, and connected in one of the most wealthy social circles in the world. If you liked Crazy Rich Asians, this might just be the reality show for you.

22. Derry Girls: set in Northern Ireland during The Troubles, Derry Girls follows the darkly hilarious Erin and her eccentric cousin, Orla, as they navigate being teenage girls during the conflict. It gets bonus points for featuring Nicola Coughlan (now of Bridgerton fame) and lots of music from The Cranberries.

Stories that surround time travel and time loops are a popular convention in media, and seemingly even more so in 2022, as seen with the just-released Paper Girls on Amazon Prime and also The Adam Project on Netflix .

Unlike the (un)lucky protagonists of these stories, viewers have only so many available hours in the day, and it can feel like a waste of time to sit through a story that doesn't work towards something interesting. Whether it analyses the angles in time travel mechanics or uses it as a moment for existential ideas, 2022 contains a lot of great movies and TV shows that deserve to be watched, so those looking for something specific can jump straight into what they are looking for.

Paper Girls (2022 - )

Paper Girls is Stand By Me on a time travel road trip and with the tiniest dose of Pacific Rim . Directed by Stephany Folsom and based on the comic book by Brian K. Vaughan, the Amazon Prime series follows four young girls — Erin Tieng (Riley Lai Nelet), Tiffany Quilkin (Camryn Jones), Mac Coyle (Sofia Rosinsky), and KJ Brandman (Fina Strazza) — delivering newspapers in 1988 before they are suddenly involved in a time-traveling conflict in 2019.

Time is a method in which the characters face existentialism in the meaning of their future, and rectify the damage held by past selves. In one of the best subplots early in the series, Mac meets the older version of her brother and slowly comes to terms with not only her future but the fact that she hasn't matured enough to realize the abuse she's going through. The time-twisting adventure is a vehicle for action to occur too of course, but it's those elements of Stand By Me — the relationship between four growing girls sharing their conflicts together — that are the true core of the show.

The Adam Project (2022)

Directed by Shawn Levy, it follows an Adam from 2050 (Ryan Reynolds) with his younger self (Walker Scobell) on an adventure to save the future from the disaster it already is.

The Adam Project is to time-traveling sci-fi what Real Steel is for boxing movies  -- it has some fun ideas, a decent execution, a wise-cracking child and doesn't try to wow with anything new. It's a fun action flick pretending to be sci-fi, with Reynolds doing his Deadpool act without the fourth-wall humor. There's sincerity to the bond between the two Adams and their father (Mark Ruffalo), with whom they haven't had enough time to bond, but little else. It has no concerns with doing anything more than having fun and will please anyone trying to fill 90 minutes.

Karmalink (2021)

Karmalink is a uniquely Buddhist take on the metaphysical concepts surrounding time for a spiritual spectacle directed by Jake Watchel and co-written with Christopher Larsen. The directorial debut gained its limited theatre release this year after being loved at 2021 film festivals and focuses on a 13-year-old orphan from a near-futuristic version of Phom Penh, Cambodia, searching for a golden Buddha statue.

It shows the beautiful lives of its poor citizens, as well as the divide between it and the rich population, exploring gentrification, technological alienation, neo-colonialism, and its terrible effects on a warm little community. Its story is grounded, with a touch of The Goonies , and surrounded by colorful cinematography that compliments Cambodian culture and beauty. It greatly deals with typically associated sci-fi themes, but it's the celebration of its environment and the seemingly uncontrollable forces changing it that truly makes it a great addition to its genre.

Undone: Season 2 (2019 - )

Made by the minds of BoJack Horseman, the Amazon Prime series continues its psychedelic time trip from the first season with Alma (Rosa Salazar), Becca (Angelique Cabral), and Jacob (Bob Odenkirk).

Fan theories speculate on the legitimacy of its time travel, but regardless, the method is used to examine the damage dealt by war, racism, mental health, and inherited pain after trauma. Season two goes further than season one in examining the histories of Alma's parents and grandparents, and what eventually leads to the negative characteristics of the protagonists. It's less so a time travel mystery, as much as it is using it as a method to brilliantly dissect the problems that can occur while immigrating and the ripple effects it causes.

The Lazarus Project (2022 - )

The Sky-exclusive British action drama was directed by Marco Kreuzpaintner, Laura Scrivano, and Akaash Meeda, and stars Paapa Essiedu as George, who's awakened his ability to see time loops and is invited into an organization formed to use the loops to prevent world-ending disasters. It's nowhere close to the comedy of Groundhog Day or Palm Springs , instead looking closer into the damage it inflicts more than those films do.

It explores the ethics and emotional damage within its specific systems and grounds them in the stories of each of its cast members, posing scenarios that prompt audiences to consider which is the more moral choice. Watching characters deal with the erasing existence of a child, the stress and pain of reliving childbirth over and over and over again, or watching characters make sacrifices for the most saved lives possible — it's a level of empathy felt from the other side of the screen. It's an underrated little gem that demands the attention of any sci-fi fan.

Archive 81 (2022)

Based on a podcast by Daniel Powell and Marc Sollinger, the found-footage horror show switches perspectives between film archivist Dan Turner (Momoudou Athie) and documentarian Melody Pendras (Dina Shihabi) as they both discover the bizarre cult within the Visser building in Lower Manhattan.

Creator Rebecca Sonnenshine weaves a uniquely unsettling version of time travel. The perspectives between Dan and Melody initially seem separate from each other, but the mystery of its time travel through found footage latches onto the viewer as its steadily revealed. It's a slow binge that's more 'creepy' than outright shocking, but it's a great watch for anyone interested in a series happy to pace itself, and separates itself from other found-footage horrors by the time-distorting connection between Melody and Dan.

The Umbrella Academy: Season 3 (2019 - )

The superhero show, created by Steve Blackman and based on the comic book by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, gained some good faith for its great LGBTQ+ arc with Viktor Hargreeves (Elliot Page) and continues the story from its well-received second season of a dysfunctional family trying to get their lives back.

This season hardly delves into time travel compared to its previous seasons, but still uses it in a way to delve into the reparation and breaking of familial connections. Klaus (Robert Sheehan) has been great at every step of the series but is particularly strong here for using this alternate timeline as a second chance to grow closer with their father Reginald (Colm Feore). It's a story as heartbreaking as it is heartwarming, setting up for another season of reality-bending adventures to come.

Russian Doll: Season 2 (2019 - )

The humorous original season didn't seem like it was prime material for a second series, but regardless it abandons its time-looping narrative in favor of changing family history in the past. It stars the Orange Is The New Black favorite Natasha Lyonne, who co-created the show along with Leslye Headland and Amy Poehler of Parks And Recreation fame.

Just as with the first season, Lyonne can carry the entire show by herself through her great acting and character work, but it follows a great story as she dives into her family history. But unlike Undone , Lyonne's character of Nadia lives directly in the shoes of her Jewish Hungarian ancestors and faces the reality of the impossibility to change time and how she needs to live with it. It's a story of acceptance, but with the same humor, it carried its first season. And even if it won't be as charming a surprise as the original, it's still worth a watch.

Travel Channel and discovery+ Announce New and Returning Paranormal Series

Kesha, Jack Osbourne, Eli Roth , and popular paranormal investigator Zak Bagans headline Travel Channel and discovery+’s upcoming slate of series and specials. The network and streaming service also confirmed the popular Ghostober celebration will return for a fifth year.

“Travel Channel and discovery+ have tapped into what paranormal and horror fans love the most – a huge slate of brand-new content from some of their favorite stars of the genre,” stated Matthew Butler, group senior vice president, Travel Channel and paranormal streaming content. “Our fans are true believers, and they can’t get enough of this type of entertainment that brings the chills and thrills, whether it’s on television or streaming into their homes.”

The summer lineup will include a new season of Ghost Adventures , the premiere of Kesha’s Conjuring Kesha , and Jack Osbourne joining the Ghost Brothers for season two of Fright Club .

NEW SERIES DESCRIPTIONS:

CONJURING KESHA Global pop superstar Kesha has a deep passion for all things supernatural and has spent most of her life searching for answers to the world’s biggest mysteries. Now she is expanding on her fascination with the unknown in a cinematic, hands-on paranormal series chock full of mysterious adventures. Follow Kesha and some of her celebrity friends on a cosmic exploration of the afterlife, as they travel to mind-blowing haunted locations and search for all things unexplainable.

GHOSTS OF DEVIL’S PERCH Butte, Montana, is gripped by a terrifying supernatural uprising. To restore order, the mayor and sheriff enlist the help of paranormal investigators Dave Schrader, Cindy Kaza and K.D. Stafford to stop the wave of unnatural occurrences plaguing the historic mining town.

NEW SPECIALS:

GHOST ADVENTURES – HALLOWEEN SPECIAL (wt) Zak Bagans and the Ghost Adventures Crew – Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley and Jay Wasley – embark on a special spooky two-hour investigation to kick off the Halloween season. After piecing together the location’s haunted history, the team investigates using the latest scientific gadgets and technology in an effort to obtain physical evidence of the paranormal and uncover the truth behind the haunting.

JACK OSBOURNE’S NIGHT OF TERROR: BIGFOOT For years, Jack Osbourne and his friend, actor Jay Mewes, have been curious about the existence of the legendary creature known as Sasquatch, Yeti or most commonly, Bigfoot. Now, they’re venturing into a remote region of northern Idaho, the site of the most reported Bigfoot sightings over the last half-century, to figure out for themselves if Bigfoot is truly an undiscovered creature of North America’s wilderness or simply an age-old legend run wild.

JACK OSBOURNE’S NIGHT OF TERROR: UFOs Jack Osbourne brings his friends, actors Jay Mewes and Jamie Kennedy, to the edge of the unknown in search of the truth behind UFOs. Utah’s Uinta Basin has been shrouded in mysteries for centuries, with stories of otherworldly visitors dating back to ancient times. In recent years, even stranger sightings have been reported and captured. Osbourne, Mewes and Kennedy embark on an unflinching investigation to figure out if these phenomena are connected and why this strange activity is concentrated in the Uinta Basin.

SHOCK DOCS: MICHIGAN HELL HOUSE It is the greatest paranormal story the public has never heard. From 1974 to 1975, in the small farming town of Merrill, Michigan, the Pomeraning family was tormented by relentless poltergeist activity inside their home. They even battled deadly spontaneous combustion erupting inside the house. Paranormal investigator Steve Shippy, with the help of psychic medium Cindy Kaza, will attempt to find the truth about the evil force that seemed to curse this home and family – an evil that still lives there to this day.

DESTINATION FEAR Fear-chasing foursome – brother and sister duo Dakota Laden and Chelsea Laden and best friends Tanner Wiseman and Alex Schroeder – hit the haunted back roads of America, spending the night inside the nation’s scariest places. This season, the team drives deeper into their paranormal exploration, using new tactics and experiments to unlock dark secrets and bring them closer to the grim truths behind the hauntings. The journey will test their mental, emotional and physical strength to the extreme.

ELI ROTH PRESENTS: A GHOST RUINED MY LIFE From master of horror Eli Roth, this chilling series shares the shocking stories of real-life hauntings that have left emotional (and sometimes physical) scars on those unlucky enough to have experienced them. Equal parts terrifying and evocative, every hour-long episode will expose viewers to the real-life stories of survivors who have been dragged through hell and back and now struggle to rebuild their shattered lives.

GHOST ADVENTURES Paranormal investigators Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley and Jay Wasley continue their travels to haunted destinations where they meet with locals, eyewitnesses and experts in an attempt to piece together the haunted history of each site. UFO WITNESS Since the U.S. government released information on its decades of evidence on Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) earlier this year, reports of sightings and accounts have only increased. UFO expert and former federal criminal investigator Ben Hansen is joining forces with UFO researcher and journalist Melissa Tittl to uncover the dark secrets surrounding the unidentifiable objects in our skies.

33 TV Shows We Can’t Wait to Watch This Summer

Hit the beach or hit play on any number of new shows — you can’t go wrong either way..

If the streaming bubble has burst, you wouldn’t know it by firing up the apps this summer. The next couple months are filled with tons of high-profile returning shows and plenty of intriguing new titles, too. The second season of not one but two big-budget fantasy epics will grace our screens along with a new Star Wars series that’ll hopefully be closer to Andor than Ahsoka . Carmy’s cooking up more drama in Chicago, Emily’s still in Paris , and wouldn’t you know it, but there’s been another dang murder in that building . We’ll also get a surreal tour of New York from Julio Torres, an NBA scandal for the ages, swords and sandals in the Colosseum, and at least three Apple TV+ crime dramas. Hit the beach or hit play on any number of new shows — you can’t go wrong either way. —James Grebey

Eric (Netflix, May 30)

Benedict Cumberbatch’s main scene partner in this psychological thriller miniseries is a seven-foot-tall blue puppet named Eric — a monster taken from the drawings of nine-year-old Edgar, who goes missing one morning. As Edgar’s father Vincent, Cumberbatch plays a master puppeteer whose grief-induced spiral into substance abuse and delusion leads him to a new mission: get Eric on TV and thus somehow get his son back. Eric was created and written by Abi Morgan, known for scripting films like The Iron Lady and Shame and series like The Hour . — Ben Rosenstock

We Are Lady Parts season two (Peacock, May 30)

This British sitcom about an all-Muslim, all-female punk band was one of the warmest, most fun series of 2021, subverting stereotypes while dropping banger after banger. Creator-writer-director Nida Manzoor has had a busy couple of years with the release of her feature debut, the martial-arts comedy Polite Society , so watching Lady Parts jam again in this much-anticipated season two feels especially sweet. —B.R.

Couples Therapy season four (Paramount+/Showtime, May 31)

Who knew watching couples-therapy sessions stitched together could be so addictive? Well, director Josh Kriegman did. The series isn’t just surprisingly bingeable; it’s Showtime’s best show airing right now, full stop. The key is Dr. Orna Guralnik, whose gentle probing and perceptive insights help couple after couple better understand the dynamics at play in their relationship. I’d watch a hundred episodes of this show every year, but I’ll settle for this new set of nine — featuring the show’s first throuple — for now. — B.R.

Frog and Toad season two (Apple TV+, May 31)

With the whimsy of Shaun the Sheep and the winking attitude of Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox , Apple TV+’s very winning adaptation of Arnold Lobel’s Frog and Toad books hits all the source material’s messaging about acceptance and friendship and loyalty but never feels condescending or immature. Now, is its sole failure the decision to keep Frog and Toad as “true friends” rather than the lovers they so clearly and subtextually are? Absolutely! But it still maintains the duo’s intimacy, particularly when they share a meal — all that chomping on cookies and slurping on soup is basically ASMR. —Roxana Hadadi

Clipped (FX, June 4)

It’s been a decade since Donald Sterling, the billionaire who once owned the Los Angeles Clippers, was secretly recorded uttering some wildly racist statements that went viral. (That Sterling sounds exactly like Master Shake from Aqua Teen Hunger Force didn’t help.) The resulting scandal was one of the wilder things to happen in sports, as documented in a 30 for 30 episode that serves as the basis of FX’s new drama. Ed O’Neill plays Sterling and Laurence Fishburne plays Doc Rivers, the coach who was already struggling to turn this notoriously bad basketball team around before Sterling introduced his own drama. —James Grebey

The Acolyte (Disney+, June 4)

Season two of Andor got delayed, but at least we have Leslye Headland’s new entry in the Star Wars canon, starring Amandla Stenberg as a former Padawan learner who went rogue. The Acolyte is set during the High Republic era 100 years prior to The Phantom Menace , making it the earliest screen depiction of this universe — the longest time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Headland also purposely cast Carrie-Anne Moss to give us “ Trinity with a lightsaber ,” so that’s reason enough to tune in. — B.R.

Perfect Match season two (Netflix, June 7)

“No thoughts, just vibes” gets condensed into a TV show with Perfect Match , a deliciously braindead dating competition that assembles sexy singles from across the Netflix Reality Universe for ten episodes of gossiping, matchmaking, and coupling up. Harry Jowsey from Too Hot to Handle is here doing Harry Jowsey things , The Trust ’s Tolú Ekundare brings her main-character energy to a dating competition, and … they cast Love Is Blind ’s Izzy Zapata for some reason? This group of singles is the perfect combination of hot, charming, clever, dumb, horny, conniving, self-serving, and self-sabotaging (complimentary), and the strategy at the heart of the game is just present enough to cause endless chaos and intrigue. Also, Nick Lachey is there. —Nic Juarez

Queenie (Hulu, June 7)

Candice Carty-Williams’s best-selling novel from a few years back is getting the limited-series-adaptation treatment, courtesy of Channel 4 (it’s streaming on Hulu here in the States). When Queenie Jenkins (Dionne Brown), a 25-year-old Jamaican British woman, gets unexpectedly dumped by her longtime boyfriend who says they need a break, she finds herself in the awful situation of having to, ugh , do the work to rebuild her life and find herself. —J.G.

The Boys season four (Prime, June 13)

In the last season of The Boys , fatigue started to set in — with Homelander clearly sticking around, the story is starting to go in circles. Hopefully season four will offer the shot in the arm this show needs, and that certainly seems possible with what’s planned: a custody battle between Billy Butcher and Homelander, a supe-killing virus imported from spinoff Gen V , and an election where the state of the democracy is at stake (sound familiar?). Also look for the return of Simon Pegg as Hughie’s dad, along with some intriguing new characters: Hughie’s mom (Rosemarie DeWitt), along with Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) and Firecracker (Valorie Curry), two new members of the Seven. Jeffrey Dean Morgan will also play a mystery role. —B.R.

Presumed Innocent (Apple TV+, June 14)

Jake Gyllenhaal graces the small screen in a leading role for the first time in Presumed Innocent , an adaptation of an ’80s legal thriller about a prosecutor who becomes the main suspect in a gruesome murder. There was a movie version of this back in the ’90s starring Harrison Ford; here’s hoping Gyllenhaal brings some of his lightly unhinged Ambulance energy to this series to help set it apart. Ruth Negga and Peter Sarsgaard co-star. —J.G.

House of the Dragon season two (HBO, June 16)

Welcome back to King’s Landing, where everyone’s favorite incestuous blonds are still fighting a war they can’t win. If showrunner Ryan Condal’s “very bloody feast” comments are anything to go by, the Dance of the Dragons should really be heating up in season two, so make sure your black or green capes are pinned. —B.R.

Orphan Black: Echoes (AMC+, June 23)

What does Orphan Black look like without Tatiana Maslany? Anna Fishko’s sequel series takes place 37 years after the original’s end and stars Krysten Ritter as an amnesiac named Lucy — along with Keeley Hawes as a grown-up scientist version of Kira Manning, Sarah’s daughter. It’s safe to say clones will be involved somehow, but it remains to be seen whether this spinoff can recapture the particular magic of watching Maslany play more than five roles at the same time. —B.R.

Babylon Berlin season four (MHz Choice, June 25)

Remember when streaming was supposed to make everything easier? Babylon Berlin , a German neo-noir about mystery, sex, and intrigue in the last days of the Weimar Republic, became an international success when Netflix streamed the first three seasons in America. Then they lost the rights and the show went AWOL, including the fourth season, which premiered in Germany two years ago. Now, finally , it’s available to (legally) stream here, on MHz Choice — a real streaming service that we did not make up . —J.G.

Land of Women (Apple TV+, June 26)

Under the Tuscan Sun meets Cape Fear in Land of Women : Gala (Eva Longoria) learns that her husband’s been making financial deals with the wrong people, and she flees New York City with her mother and daughter after he disappears. The trio tries to settle in the lovely little Spanish wine town her mother lived in a half-century ago, but gossip travels fast, which is not ideal when you’re trying to hide from criminals. —J.G.

The Bear season three (FX on Hulu, June 27)

Season two took The Bear from a good show to a great one , and season three should sustain a lot of discourse this summer, even with Hulu’s unfortunate binge-drop schedule. Will the new restaurant succeed? Will Carmy manage to balance his mental health and his single-minded passion for cooking? Which pop star will Richie’s daughter introduce him to next: Chappell Roan or Sabrina Carpenter? And, most importantly: Will Sydney and Marcus get any closer to kissing? ( Don’t you dare ask about her and Carmy.) — B.R.

My Lady Jane (Prime Video, June 27)

In real life, 17-year-old Lady Jane Grey sat on the English throne for nine days until she was deposed and the new queen, known as “Bloody Mary,” had the teenager beheaded. What the Prime Video series My Lady Jane presupposes is … what if she didn’t? Based on a series of YA novels, this show spares Lady Jane, gives her steamy romance, and sets her off on an adventure to save herself and a bunch of shape-shifters(?!?) from the villains who want to destroy them. —J.G.

Fantasmas (HBO, TBD)

Julio Torres, the mind behind Los Espookys and Problemista , brings his surrealist comedy to New York City once more when he plays a man searching for a lost gold earring shaped like an oyster. Along the way, he’ll encounter colorful characters played by Julia Fox, Ziwe, Steve Buscemi, and Kim Petras. He also has a robot companion, naturally. —J.G.

Sunny (Apple TV+, July 10)

Apple TV+ has carved out a niche for itself with its sci-fi series, and Katie Robbins’s new “darkly comedic” half-hour drama for A24 seems to fit the mold. Rashida Jones, who serves as executive producer, stars as a woman living in Kyoto who receives a robot made by her husband’s company after he and her son disappear in a suspicious plane crash — and realizes the bot may be her only way to learn the truth about what happened. —B.R.

Sausage Party: Foodtopia (Prime, July 11)

I’m not sure anyone had the 2016 animated film Sausage Party on their “TV spinoff” bingo card, but this eight-episode sequel series does feature the return of five voices from the original: anthropomorphic sausages Frank (Seth Rogen) and Barry (Michael Cera), hot-dog bun Brenda Bunson (Kristen Wiig) and their friends Kareem Abdul Lavash (David Krumholtz) and Sammy Bagel Jr. (Edward Norton). How do you up the ante after ending your first movie with various foods participating in a giant, graphically detailed orgy? By building a food-based society where you can do that all the time, apparently. —B.R.

Exploding Kittens (Netflix, July 12)

The tabletop card game Exploding Kittens began as a Kickstarter project in 2015, designed by The Oatmeal cartoonist Matthew Inman. Nine years later, it’s … an animated Netflix show? With Mike Judge and Greg Daniels on as executive producers? And Tom Ellis, famous for playing Lucifer on Lucifer , voicing God trapped in a cat’s body? Sure! —B.R.

Those About to Die (Peacock, July 18)

Gladiator II gets some company in the Colosseum as Peacock’s Those About to Die enters the arena. Anthony Hopkins stars as Emperor Vespasian in this swords-and-sandals epic, which promises to dig into the ugly business side of gladiatorial games. Will we give Those About to Die a thumbs-up? Well, because a thumbs-up back then signaled that a defeated gladiator was to be killed rather than spared, maybe that’s the wrong metric. —J.G.

Lady in the Lake (Apple TV+, July 19)

Natalie Portman stars in this Apple TV+ drama about a 1960s housewife who gets in on the true-crime craze a few decades early. Leaving her husband to move to Baltimore and become an investigative reporter for The Sun, she finds herself fascinated by the unrelated murders of Black bartender (Moses Ingram) in her 30s and an 11-year-old Jewish girl. (Both crimes are inspired by real events.) The show is based on Laura Lippman’s 2019 book — no relation to the 1940s Raymond Chandler noir. —J.G.

The Decameron (Netflix, TBD)

It’s a bold move to take on the task of adapting Giovanni Boccaccio’s classic 14th-century short-story collection, centered on a group of nobles telling stories to pass the time while sheltering from the Black Death outside Florence. But in showrunner Kathleen Jordan’s soapy dark-comedy take, the focus is on those sheltering nobles, not the stories they’re telling. This is, first and foremost, a satire about class struggle during a pandemic — another uncomfortably familiar subject for contemporary audiences. —B.R.

Batman: Caped Crusader (Prime, August 1)

With apologies to Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, and Robert Pattinson, the definitive version of Batman was the ’90s cartoon Batman: The Animated Series . Luckily for us, that show’s co-creator Bruce Timm wants another crack at the Dark Knight. Batman: Caped Crusader — which will air on Prime Video, which saved the show when Max passed on it in 2022 — is a true Batman period piece, taking place in the 1940s when the superhero made his comic-book debut. The costumes have retro designs and the aesthetic is old-timey, but Caped Crusader will innovate the 80-year-old IP in several ways, too, including a reimagined Harley Quinn, now an Asian woman with a much more intimidating vibe and no relationship with the Joker. —J.G.

The Umbrella Academy season four (Netflix, August 8)

Congrats to The Umbrella Academy for getting four seasons and the chance to end its story on its own terms — there are a lot of Netflix shows based on graphic novels that wish they’d had the chance. The final season brings back Viktor (Elliot Page), Luther (Tom Hopper), and the rest of the superpowered Hargreeves family for six more episodes, and given that season three ended with an apocalypse averted and reality rebooted, truly anything could happen next. —J.G.

Bad Monkey (Apple TV+, August 14)

Vince Vaughn starring in another mystery series? Great news for all the True Detective season-two fans out there. In Bad Monkey , a comedy created by Bill Lawrence of Scrubs fame, Vaughn plays a former detective now working as a restaurant inspector who finds himself once again investigating crimes when a tourist finds a severed human arm while fishing. Michelle Monaghan, Jodie Turner-Smith, Meredith Hagner, and Rob Delaney co-star. —J.G.

Emily in Paris season four part one (Netflix, August 15)

Hate-watchers rejoice: She’s back. Season three of Emily in Paris (which, remember, is meant to be pronounced so that it rhymes) ended with Camille (Camille Razat) leaving Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) at the altar, Alife (Lucien Laviscount) dumping Emily (Lily Collins), and Camille’s surprise pregnancy reveal. Season four will deal with the aftermath of that, plus Emily’s gonna visit Rome, which will give Italians a chance to be as mad about this wonderful mess of a show as the French are. —J.G.

Only Murders in the Building season four (Hulu, August 27)

Hulu’s delightful mystery-comedy is never one to skimp on high-profile guest stars, and season four is particularly stacked: Meryl Streep will return, joined by newcomers Molly Shannon, Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Kumail Nanjiani, and Zach Galifianakis. And the show will spend at least some time in Los Angeles at the beginning of this season, though our beloved Arconia will remain the main setting of the show. It is the only building the murders happen in, after all. —B.R.

Terminator: Zero (Netflix, August 29)

The track record for most Terminator media is bleak, but perhaps a Netflix anime can be the first good entry in the franchise since T2: Judgement Day. Terminator: Zero follows a soldier who is sent back to 1997 from the hellish “future” of 2022 to protect a scientist working on an AI that could potentially stop Skynet. It’s a promising sign that the Japanese studio Production IG, which made Ghost in the Shell , is behind the series, as they’ve some experience with cyborg action. Is that enough to make up for how awful Terminator Genisys was? We’ll find out when the full season drops on August 29. —J.G.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season two (Prime, August 29)

“Good, not great,” is probably not what Amazon wanted to hear about the first season of their billion-dollar Lord of the Rings series. Perhaps the second season, which kicks off with Sauron having revealed himself and created Mount Doom, will live up to expectations and take the “mid” out of “Middle-earth.” Morfydd Clark returns as Galadriel, who seems like she’ll have plenty of chances to kick ass in what looks to be a number of blockbuster action set pieces. —J.G.

Industry season three (HBO, TBD)

Industry , I’ve missed you — so much, in fact, that a couple songs from Nathan Micay’s excellent synth-heavy score have entered my Spotify most played. The finance babble might not sound appealing from the outside, but trust me, this is a show you’ll want to catch up on. Where we left off, poor Harper got fired for lying about her college diploma shortly after getting off scot-free for the whole insider-trading thing. Expect season three to contend with the fallout from that, as well as newcomers Kit Harington as the CEO of a green-tech energy company Lumi and Barry ’s Sarah Goldberg as a portfolio manager at FutureDawn, an ethical investment fund. —B.R.

Pachinko season two (Apple TV+)

The year of Anna Sawai continues as the Shōgun star returns for season two of the acclaimed Apple TV+ drama Pachinko , based on the book by Min Jin Lee. The first season drew widespread praise for the thoughtful intimacy of its generation-spanning story of family, following Kim Sunja (played at three different ages by Youn Yuh-jung, Kim Min-ha, and Yuna) as she navigates Japanese society as a Korean immigrant. Season two promises to continue her story, filling in the gaps from the book along the way. —J.G.

Secret france with dick & angel will see the couple embark on adventures across the country.

Escape to the Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge are returning to our screens with a brand new TV show on Channel 4 . 

Titled Secret France with Dick & Angel , the three-parter will take viewers beyond the gates of the family's 19th-century chateau as they embark on adventures across France. 

The synopsis reads: "During their time at the Chateau, the pair have discovered a lesser-seen side of France and the forthcoming series will follow them as they go off the beaten track to explore areas of the country few tourists visit ." 

The show will follow Dick and Angel as they "turn their attentions to new projects and new adventures, firstly unlocking the secrets of beautiful France in a brand new travel series". 

It promises to retain the "escapism, aspiration, warmth, accessibility and fun" which is inherent to the Chateau franchise. "As Dick and Angel go beyond the Chateau's gates their unique ability to seek out the unexpected and uncover the extraordinary  will combine with their innate sense of adventure to unlock the secrets of France," the synopsis concludes. 

MORE ESCAPE TO THE CHATEAU

Sharing the exciting announcement on Instagram, the couple penned: "It's been a voyage of discovery and we wanted to find places that were off the beaten path, where tourism hasn't overshadowed the local culture. We hope you join us on our journey."

The show will arrive on Channel 4 on Sunday 2 June at 8pm.

Dick and Angel first announced the series when Escape to the Chateau ended in December 2022. At the time, the pair said in a statement: "We have cherished every second [of Escape to the Country] and love that we have a visual record to show Arthur and Dorothy when they're older. We're all looking forward to what the future holds and to carrying on our adventures here in France. There is so much to see and so much more fun to be had." 

The spin-off has been a long time coming. Back in January last year, Dick and Angel said they had been "busy filming" for the series, which was initially expected to air in 2023. 

Not only is the family returning to our screens but they'll also be back on the stage in their new UK theatre tour, 'Forever Home'. 

Dick and Angel will embark on their biggest tour yet, with 33 dates starting on 6 October in Angel's hometown of Southend-on-Sea and ending on 17 November, in Brighton.

The upcoming interactive show is slightly different from the couple's previous tours as during the evening, guests will get the chance to compete with other audience members on stage for the title of their town's Escape to the Chateau – Jack of All Trades. Contestants can expect anything from "icing a cake to plumbing and electrics" as "no task is out of bounds". 

They'll also get the opportunity to win prizes and play a part in the launch of Dick and Angel's next big project, Escape to the Chateau – Jack of All Trades.

Dick and Angel said in a statement: "Touring with our family has been such a joy, and we can't wait to return to the UK to share our adventures, challenges, and the successes of building and living our Chateau dream.

"Only so much of our story can be told on the telly, and as life at the Chateau continues to evolve , we will share what it takes to build a forever home. 

"This year, there's even more fun to have as we kick-start our newest project searching for the UK’s ultimate Jack of All Trades! We can't wait!"

Caribbean Pirate Treasure | Returns June 13 at 10|9c

Our favorite treasure hunters Ashlan and Philippe Cousteau hit the high seas once more in search of forgotten treasure, epic pirate tales and mysterious islands. Their journey takes them off the coast of Key West to investigate a ship that could hold serious treasure, all the way to a remote island known as Isla Del Muerto — Dead Man’s Island. (Yikes!)

Mysteries at the Museum | Thursdays at 9|8c

Don Wildman is taking a closer look at some of history’s most captivating stories in three specials airing this month: Lindbergh Kidnapping , Cold War Secrets and Cleopatra . But Don’s not just doing research at his local library. He’s retracing the footsteps of those directly involved in these mysteries, from the Lindbergh baby kidnapper to the iconic female ruler herself, Cleopatra VII.

Lindbergh Kidnapping kicks off May 31 at 9|8c. (Spoiler: Don finds himself scaling a handmade ladder similar to that of the kidnapper. You need to see this.)

The Dead Files | Returns June 1 at 10|9c

New night. New cases. Same Steve and Amy.

The paranormal duo is back, uncovering the secrets of haunted locations across the country. Kicking off their first Friday episode, Steve and Amy investigate an abandoned amusement park in Lake Shawnee, W.V. plagued by numerous reports of ghost sightings and other unexplained — sometimes violent — activity.

“Why would anyone build an amusement park out here in the middle of nowhere?” Steve asks. Our question exactly.

Ghost Adventures | Returns June 16 at 9|8c

Ghost Adventures fans, your plea for new episodes has been answered (yay!). The crew heads to Mokelumne Hill, Calif. to explore one of the state’s oldest operating hotels, Hotel Léger. Formerly the county courthouse and jail, the building was the site of numerous tragedies, including the murder of George Léger, the owner and founder of the hotel. In addition to all the activity above ground, the property has a system of tunnels connected to the basement, which are home to a “dark presence” that the guys will get to know firsthand.
