Alan Moore is the founder of LetsDoThisHouston LLC, a bike tour and special events agency located in 3rd Ward Houston, Texas. Born in Chicago and raised in Memphis, TN. He attended Prairie View A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2010. Alan's first job out of college was working at Boys & Girls Country Group Home working with at-risk youth, teaching them life skills. These same kids inspired Alan to to start riding bikes.
In 2015 Alan took a bike ride through the city of Houston and that's when Letsdothishouston was born. Alan imagined creating bike tours for people looking to see the city in a different way, while incorporating music and connecting to local businesses and historical landmarks. He reached out to a local bike shop, Tour De Hood Led by Dr. Veon McReynolds , to host his first event, "Bike & Brunch." His event quickly gained popularity through social media, and word of mouth. Overtime the LetsDoThisHouston & 3rd Ward Tours brand has grown to a total following of 50K across all social media platforms. O ne of Alan’s favorite quotes to live by is “Don’t wait for the ‘perfect time’, you will wait forever. Always take advantage of the time that you’re given.”

Houston by bike.
Grab a bicycle and explore the city. Want to really see Houston? Grab a bike, because a pair of wheels is one of the best ways to experience H-Town these days. With its mild year-round temps, recently-expanded bike trails (more than 300 miles of interconnected bikeway network cover the metro) and the introduction of the Houston B-Cycle bike share program, locals and visitors are hitting the road now more than ever.
Even if you don’t have a bike, the Houston B-Cycle service makes getting around a breeze. With more than two-dozen stations located in Downtown, Montrose, Midtown, The Heights and the Museum District, riders can easily and inexpensively cruise around some of the city’s most-loved sites.
While you're riding around Houston, check out our exclusive bike tours and experiences below.
Customers can purchase bike access online or at any of the stations by inserting a credit card at the B-Cycle kiosk and selecting a bike from one of the numbered bays. Pay by the half hour for $3 or purchase a membership which run $9 per month or $99 per year and offers unlimited one-hour trips with $3 fees for each additional half hour. Though it would be easy to spend an entire day biking the city, we’re breaking down excursions by neighborhood. Expect each to take a few hours, depending on your pace and number of stops.
Museum District
Montrose + midtown, the heights.
Kick off a ride through the Central Business District at Discovery Green park. Look for two B-cycle locations on the cross streets of Crawford/Walker and Crawford/Lamar. From the north side of Discovery Green, follow Crawford Street northeast, past Minute Maid Park and take a left on Congress Avenue to get to historic Market Square Park , which is home to several restaurants and bars like Angel Share and La Carafe . It’s a great place to wrap up your Downtown exploration later on.
Continue past Market Square, through the Theater District, making sure to stop at Sam Houston Park before hopping on the Buffalo Bayou Hike and Bike Trails . (There’s an entrance to the trail on the south side of the park.) From there, the path winds along Buffalo Bayou and offers great views of the Downtown skyline and, if you time it right, a view of the Waugh Bridge Bat Colony making their nightly exodus. When you’re ready to head back Downtown, cross any of the bridges and connect back with the trail on the other side of the water, heading back east.

Even if you don’t start the day at the Houston Zoo , the lush area, located on the south side of Hermann Park , is a great place to nab a cruiser and hit the trail. Find the B-Cycle station tucked on the south side of the Boat House. Follow the path around the 445-acre park and check out McGovern Lake and the Jesse H Jones Reflection Pool, along with the tranquil Japanese Garden and the park’s art installations.
Beyond the park, guests will find plenty to do in the Museum District , which is home to 20 art-and-culture filled institutions. Hop off your bike for some time spent perusing the Museum of Fine Arts Houston or Contemporary Arts Museum . The corner of Fairview and Taft is a great place to start your Montrose exploration. Not only is the intersection home to Boheme Cafe & Wine Bar , Reeves Antiques , and Cuchara Restaurant , but it also makes room for a B-station. Grab a bike and don’t be afraid to explore what the American Planning Association dubbed one of the country’s 10 great neighborhoods. The area’s street grid, historic districts, and eclectic architecture make it a fun (and easy) place to peruse by bike. Don’t miss the Funnel Tunnel sculpture on Montrose before stopping for coffee at Inversion . Later, head south toward the Westheimer Curve where consignment and antique shops dot the walkable strip. Finally, head down West Alabama to Mid Main in Midtown and shop at My Flaming Heart or The Tinderbox and catch a show at the Continental Club . Note: There’s a B-station conveniently located a stone's throw away at 3512 Main Street if you don't want to ride back to Fairview and Taft.

Residents once flocked to The Heights area to escape the big city and today it’s a great place to find character-filled architecture, mom and pop-type shops and funky restaurants. Start your jaunt in front of the Stude Park Community Center (1031 Stude St.) where you will find plenty of parking and a B-station. Zig zag your way northwest through the area, taking in all of the Victorian, Craftsman and Colonial revival-style architecture, until you get to the 19th Street Shopping District .
There is a bike rack located at 548 19th Street, which is a perfect place to lock up your rental while you indulge in a little retail therapy at Jubilee , Replay on 19th Street or even grab a bite to eat at Down House or Shade . After, head south along Heights Boulevard, hopping on the bike trail, which runs in front of Donovan Park. (You can’t miss the kids playing on the park’s 40-foot wooden train.) Follow the tree-lined trail to White Oak, where you will find restaurants and bars. Ride White Oak east to return to Stude Park or hop back on the trail, heading south, and continue your adventure towards Downtown.

Birthday Parties
Your big day is right around the corner and you’re ready to celebrate as the King or Queen you are! You’ve done the trips to Tulum & South Beach, spent racks out of your last paycheck to cover that section at The Address, and you’ve coordinated enough bday dinners to make a business out of it. Simply put, you’re tired of the same ol’, same ol’ and want to bring in this latest trip around the sun in a unique way.
Absolutely no one will celebrate your big day like our Trill Team! Check out how we always understand the assignment when it comes to birthdays in Houston .

Bachelor & Bachelorette Parties
The last hurrah…
Before that broom is jumped, that knot is tied, or that Mariachi band serenades your Abuela out of her unmentionables, you deserve one last night of chaos and shenanigans! You and your Bride Tribe or Groom’s Crew will tear the roof off (not literally, relax bro) as you celebrate your upcoming nuptials.
You’ll have free reign to customize your tour’s playlist for the night or decorate the bike to fit your weekend’s theme. Let us know your plans while booking so we can join in on the fun! The Trill Team will always be a fan of and full supporter of your marriage, it gets us all misty-eyed and whatnot 😊

Graduation Nights
You did it! You passed those Nursing exams, got through Barber School, finished that Associate’s degree, grabbed that Bachelor’s, or maybe wrapped up your dissertation for that Master’s.
Whatever route you took, we know that journey was long and hard-fought! Let’s celebrate your big achievement together as we cruise through town listening to your favorite hits and enjoying a drink or two (or three).
You deserve it homie 🎓
Corporate Team Building
Working remotely definitely has its perks, thats all facts. Zoom meetings in hooping shorts, answering emails in your bonnet, all while catching up on the latest novelas. The benefits are endless, really.
I don’t know about you, but The Trill Team misses seeing our coworker’s face without a screen! There’s no better way than the Trill Way to build deeper connections amongst your team or treat your staff for a job well done. Join us for a night to see how Manuel from IT really gets down.
Girls Night
*Clears throat*
“In a 90s kind of worldddd, I’m glad I got my girls!” 🎤 😆
Living Single reference, anyone? Cool, just leave me hanging then. Anyways, a Girl’s Night Out will always be necessary and needed. No kids Tik Tok’n around your living room, no man asking why he has to eat spaghetti 3 days in a row, and you get to turn off that “office voice” and get as lit as you want to be.
Let The Trill Team treat you and your besties to a night out on the town you’ll never forget. Filled with your favorite tunes, some fun trivia, and you’ll get to channel your inner Beyonce while we Trap Karaoke all night. Come do you, Boo.

Houston offers a diverse, eclectic, and spirited cycling scene.
With temperatures hovering between 50 and 80 degrees for much of the year — and terrain that’s pancake flat — Houston, a recipient of a bronze-level Bicycle Friendly Community award from the League of American Bicyclists, is on its way to becoming a world-class bicycling city. For easy spinning and sightseeing, it has a 345-mile interconnected bikeway network, from cool bayou trails to multi-use paths, plus 80 miles of bikeable nature trails. Need more? There’s a velodrome, 18 miles of singletrack, a mountain bike park, and a cyclocross course in town, and decent gravel riding within 90 minutes. The community goes big when it comes to organized rides and races: the BP MS Houston to Austin Ride, for one, clocks in at 14,000 participants, and the Tour de Houston travels through the city’s historic neighborhoods. Weekly mass rides are booming here too, from the Clutch City Cruisers and the Space City Ryderz to the Midnight Riders and the H-City Cycle Gang.
