Madison Square Garden Tour review

On the MSG tour, you’ll get to see places you probably would never see otherwise . That alone is a great reason to take the tour. What I enjoyed the most, however, was the value of information and incredible facts . With more than 140 years of history, you can be sure to learn lots of them. All this makes the Madison Square Garden All Access Tour worth joining, beyond a regular visit for a concert or game.

Our tour guide Justin was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable . He surely knew his way around the massive venue. His friendly personality truly added to our positive experience at the MSG. Whenever we had questions, he was happy to answer them (and he did have an answer to all of them!). Just so you know, you’ll have only one bathroom break a few minutes into the tour. Be sure to take advantage of it!

Just as at many major attractions, you get to take a photo before the tour. This one is completely free and will be sent to your email address right away. A great, free souvenir! It’s actually more than just a photo, it’s a quick animation.

It’s a kid-friendly and also wheelchair-friendly tour. Our particular group did not include anyone with limited mobility, so we also took a few stairs. However, there’s a way to get to most places in a wheelchair. MSG is equipped with large elevators.

Our verdict

All in all, we highly recommend taking the MSG tour, whether you are a sports enthusiast or not ! You’ll learn so many interesting facts about one of New York’s most famous landmarks that’s always worth visiting. It may even inspire you to see a concert or watch a game here later in your trip. I personally noticed that even seats that are higher up aren’t so bad at all which is why I will consider coming here more often.

Madison Square Garden events

Madison Square Garden event

Madison Square Garden only hosts world-class sports and entertainment events . To perform here once is the goal of any artist and a true career highlight. Yet, not everybody can fill an arena of this size. Madison Square Garden’s capacity exceeds 20,000.

Legends that have performed at the venue in the past include Billy Joel, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Prince, Elton John, Whitney Houston … – and the list goes on and on!

However, the venue is just as popular among artists as among attendees. Madison Square Garden tickets can sell out unbelievably fast. The record for selling all seats out the fastest is currently held by Justin Bieber in 2012. All it took was 30 seconds!

Madison Square Garden is also called “the mecca of basketball” as it’s home to the New York Knicks. It’s also home to one of New York’s ice hockey team, the Rangers. Therefore, you can be sure to see a home game at Madison Square Garden.

Breaking news, jelly roll is on snl this weekend. what do tickets cost to see him live.

Jelly Roll soaks it all in while onstage.

Jelly Roll is everywhere these days.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, the larger than life country star is slated to serve as the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live’s” 50th season premiere.

Unbelievably enough, he’s also scheduled to headline at New York City’s Global Citizen Festival earlier that afternoon.

The day before, Friday, Sept. 27, the “Save Me” singer will perform at Madison Square Garden as part of his ongoing ‘Beautifully Broken Tour’ in support of his upcoming album. Then, on Sunday, Sept. 29, Jelly Roll is at Newark’s Prudential Center for another gig.

A week after that, he returns to the Empire State for a rescheduled concert at Belmont Park’s UBS Arena on Monday, Oct. 7. Crazily enough, that show was originally supposed to take place Sept. 28 aka the day he’s double booked on “SNL” and the Global Citizen Festival.

Somehow, there’s still more.

As of now, the tireless country rapper has over 35 more ‘Beautifully Broken Tour’ concerts and festival appearances lined up from now until April 2025.

“This is the biggest tour of my life y’all and I’m going to do it really really big this year— I can’t wait to see y’all at a show,” the 39-year-old Grammy nominee shared on  Instagram  when he announced the tour back in February. “Come party with us!”

If you want to party with Jelly Roll live, it isn’t too late to grab tickets for any of his shows.

Best of all, some are quite cheap.

At the time of publication, prices start at $31 before fees on Vivid Seats for select shows.

Other concerts have seats starting anywhere from $32 to $160 before fees .

For more information, our team has everything you need to know about Jelly Roll’s busy 2024-25 calendar below.

Jelly Roll 2024-25 tour schedule

A complete calendar including all tour dates  (newly added concerts are in bold) , venues, and links to buy tickets can be found below.

Jelly Roll 2024 festival appearances

Prior to the tour, you may have noticed Jelly Roll is lending his talents to a number of major festivals.

For a closer look, here’s who’s headlining with him at these major gigs this year.

Jelly Roll set list

Most recently, Jelly Roll headlined at Albany’s MVP Arena on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

According to Set List FM , here’s what he took to the stage that evening.

01.) “I Am Not Okay” 02.) “Burning” 03.) “Halfway to Hell” 04.) “Get By” 05.) “Happy Birthday to You” (Mildred J. Hill & Patty Hill cover) 06.) “Son of a Sinner” 07.) “Friends in Low Places” (Garth Brooks cover) 08.) “I Feel Like a Woman” (Shania Twain cover) 09.) “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” (Green Day cover) 10.) “Lonely Road / Take Me Home, Country Roads” (mgk cover) 11.) “Creature / Same A–hole / Fall in the Fall / Wild Ones” 12.) “She” 13.) “Liar” 14.) “Bottle and Mary Jane” 15.) “Need a Favor” 16.) “Smoking Section” 17.) “Heart of Stone” 18.) “Save Me”

Jelly Roll new music

Ahead of the release of Jelly Roll’s eighth studio album “Beautifully Broken,” he’s dropped a trio of lively singles.

First up is the twangy, emotive “Liar” that melds country, bluegrass, folk and rock to create a song that could have only come from Jelly Roll.

After that, the 39-year-old singer put out the vulnerable “I Am Not Okay.” Yes, he may veer into overly sentimental ballad territory at times here but, there is also a straightforward honesty on this track that defies cliche and maintains the grittiness and edge that helped Jelly Roll make his name.

Finally, Jelly Roll saved the best for last. The boot-stomping, hand-clapping banger “Get By” is sure to light up any audience. We can’t wait to sing along to “I might drink a little/I might smoke a lot/counting down the good times/staring down the clock.”

To hear for yourself, you can find all three tunes here .

Jelly Roll special guests

At all ‘Beautifully Broken’ gigs, Jelly Roll will be joined by a pair of opening acts.

To get you up to speed, here are their most streamed tracks on Spotify.

Warren Zeiders:   “Ride The Lightning”

Alexandra Kay:   “Best Worst Ex”

Ernest:   “Cowgirls”

Shaboozey:   “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”

Taking a Madison Square Garden tour is the best way to see this famous coliseum-style arena up close. Madison Square Garden (MSG) is a world-renowned performance venue that has hosted some of the biggest names in athletics and is home to the New York Knicks basketball team, the New York Rangers hockey team, and the New York Liberty women’s basketball team.

In addition, MSG regularly holds concerts, comedy shows, and political events, and it has several exhibits chronicling its 130-year history.

The Best Tour of Madison Square Garden

You can explore MSG on your own when you attend an NBA game or concert, but if you don’t plan on going to an event, the Madison Square Garden all-access tour is a great alternative. Personally, we don’t prioritize sporting events, so being able to take a guided tour of the facilities was super convenient.

After all, MSG is part of the fabric of the Big Apple, so visiting the arena is crucial to any New York experience. During the tour, you’ll get a peek at the backstage preparations, player locker rooms, luxury VIP box seats, and other exclusive areas. Below, I’ll let you know what to expect from the tour as well as important information like ticket prices and schedules.

If you’re ready to book and want to skip our Madison Square Garden tour review , you can book your ticket online here . Keep in mind that the tour is included in several New York city passes like the New York Pass , so if you plan on visiting some other attractions, I recommend getting one of these tourist cards.

Why take a tour of Madison Square Garden?

Madison Square Garden is one of the most famous places in NYC and is well worth visiting, especially if you love music or sports. This huge performance venue has 130 years of history and has a prominent place in New York City’s culture.

It’s also an important part of New York’s sports scene, particularly professional basketball and hockey. MSG has hosted several All-Star Games for the NBA, WNBA and NHL, and it’s where Stephen Curry broke the NBA’s all-time record for three-pointers in 2021, scoring his 2,977 th three-pointer.

Outside of MSG, tours of madison square garden

Over the years, the Madison Square Garden arena has seen musicians, comedians, politicians, and other top performers take the stage. Elton John says MSG is his favorite performance venue, and he once held the record for most shows here. Billy Joel now holds that record, with 134 shows.

It’s not hard to see why celebrities love this place. MSG’s coliseum-inspired shape and rich history make it one of the most unique venues in the world, and taking a Madison Square Garden tour is the best way to see its most exclusive areas.

The Madison Square Garden all-access tour

During the all-access tour of Madison Square Garden , you’ll follow a professional guide to see several backstage areas and interesting exhibits.

In the Main Concourse, you’ll see the Garden 366 Retrospective , a visual exhibit showcasing one important cultural moment for every day of the year, including February 29 th . The oldest event is from 1879 when the arena first opened, and this Hall of Fame is subject to change as new moments occur.

Another thing you’ll see is the Defining Moments exhibit , a documentary-style collection of memorabilia, including articles, photographs, and recordings chronicling the 130-year history of Madison Square Garden . Here, you’ll get a glimpse of key moments from the past, like John Lennon’s final performance before his death, Wayne Gretzky’s retirement from professional hockey, and the legendary 1971 boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier.

This backstage tour of Madison Square Garden continues with a visit to more exclusive areas like backstage, the luxury suite, and the Chase Bridge , a catwalk-style overhang under the roof with two rows of seating. From here, spectators get the most unique aerial view of the arena, which is why they’re considered the best seats in the house.

Finally, each tour includes a bonus surprise visit. Depending on the day, it could be the ice rink, a new stage setup, the locker room, or another exclusive area that’s normally closed off to the public.

Our experience and review of the Madison Square Garden tour

Visiting Madison Square Garden is totally worth it, even if you aren’t a huge sports fan or music lover. At the end of the day, the arena is one of the most impressive places in the Big Apple and a crucial part of its cultural significance and history. If you’re not going to attend a game or event at MSG, the tour is a great alternative that will allow you to explore the famous performance venue.

I also think the Madison Square Garden tour is great for all ages since there are parts of the tour that will appeal to everyone. Whether you want to learn more about its history or you want to see the expansiveness of the arena, you’ll walk away satisfied.

However, I do wish that the tour was a bit longer, so we had more time to take photos. The tour is only an hour, so the guides are pretty strict about moving everyone along. Also, I highly recommend getting the New York Pass so you can save money on your Madison Square Garden tour tickets and save money on other nearby attractions like the Empire State Building .

Inside charli xcx and troye sivan’s star-studded sweat tour afterparty in nyc: lorde, addison rae and more.

Charli XCX and Troye Sivan were “ b-b-bumpin’ that beat ” all night long.

Following their sold-out show at Madison Square Garden in New York City Monday night, the singers hosted a star-studded Sweat Tour afterparty at Jean’s on Lafayette.

The fête brought out a slew of their famous pals who partied the night away alongside the pop icons.

A photo of Charli XCX and Troye Sivan

Charli, 32, changed out of the New York Post-inspired graphic tee and ruffled skirt she was wearing earlier in the evening into a vintage floral-print dress and black shades for the afterparty.

Throughout the night, she and Sivan, 29, were seen snapping selfies with their various guests, including Lorde, Nadia Alexeev and DJs Alex Chapman and Zoe Gitter.

Partygoers spotted Lorde chatting it up and laughing with Addison Rae in their own VIP section of the venue, while famed record producer Mark Ronson hung out near the DJ booth with Charli.

A photo from Charli XCX party

Meanwhile, we hear Sivan entertained guests by busting some moves with a group of pals on the dance floor. At one point, he even popped behind the DJ booth when his song “Rush” began playing.

Other stars at the party included Andy Cohen, Emily Ratajkowski, Colin Jost, Lourdes Leon, Ben Platt, Grace Gummer, Bowen Yang, Rowan Blanchard, Marc Jacobs, Clairo and Jeremy O’Harris.

Also spotted were Chloe Sevigny and Hari Nef, who both starred in Charli’s music video for her massively successful “360” track. We said back in May that the catchy single would be “the song of the summer” – and needless to say, we nailed it, as “ brat summer ” had a full pop culture moment in 2024.

A photo of Ella Emhoff

Ahead of the bash, many of the same celebs were spotted enjoying Charli and Sivan’s concert at MSG.

We bumped into actress AnnaSophia Robb in Strathberry’s suite , and spied Ella Emhoff in a custom “brat” beanie. We also saw Kyle MacLachlan and Benito Skinner sporting matching slime green caps emblazoned with the title of Charli’s hit album.

The “Twin Peaks” actor’s a Charli superfan, while Skinner’s one of her closest friends.

During the show, Charli treated fans to a medley of “brat” tracks including “360” and “Club Classics,” along with a few earlier standouts like “Vroom Vroom,” “Track 10” and Icona Pop’s “I Love It.”

She and Sivan traded the stage every few songs, with the Aussie star showing off his choreography chops while performing hits like “Rush,” “My My My!” and “One Of Your Girls.”

Lorde, 27, also surprised the audience by hopping on stage to perform a rendition of her and Charli’s “Girl, So Confusing” remix, further putting an end to rumors of their alleged years-long feud .

The two even posed for a few pics backstage together , serving major “brat energy” in their trendy looks.

A photo of Charli XCX

Meanwhile, Addison Rae, 23, also wowed the crowd by performing her new hit, “Diet Pepsi,” with both Charli and Sivan assisting her with background vocals.

The TikTok starlet – chic in a white, feathery ensemble designed by Claire Sullivan and similar to what she wore to the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards – later joined Charli to let out her now-famous shriek that’s featured on A.G. Cook’s remix of “Von Dutch.”

The crowd also went crazy when actress Kelley Heyer appeared on the Jumbotron and performed her now-viral “Apple” dance.

The choreography she created – to her favorite song from Charli’s “brat” album – found massive success on TikTok and Instagram over the summer, with celebs like Gabbriette , Glen Powell , Kim Kardashian , Stephen Colbert , Brooke Shields and even Charli herself hopping on the trend.

“Thank you for everything Charli 💚🍏,” she later wrote on TikTok , sharing a clip of her hitting the moves in a black crop top and a bedazzled “brat” mini skirt.

Meanwhile, on her own Instagram account, Charli raved about performing to the sold-out crowd at MSG, writing, “Sold out the biggest f–king apple of them all.”

Charli and Sivan’s co-headlining Sweat Tour – in support of their respective albums, “brat” and “Something to Give Each Other” – continues Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa.

Following upcoming stops in Boston, Chicago, Nashville, Miami, Los Angeles and more major cities, the tour is scheduled to wrap Oct. 23 at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Wash.

Additionally, Charli will be releasing a new version of her “brat” album on Oct. 11. “Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat,” she teased via Instagram earlier this month.
