Cupra born travel assist uk ??

Hi everyone hope someone with the cupra born in the uk will give me a answer?, just get my cupra born last week and still can not make travel assist work, I don’t know if is my car which I don’t think so because is the v3 fully loaded but without park assist, or is just not ready for the uk ??? Anyway I’m not happy because is showcase on the web 🤔, hope someone can help. Thanks 🙏  

What do you mean you can't get travel assist to work? What's not happening which you would expect to happen?  

I have a Born on order and if I remember correctly its not available on the UK Borns as it required the Pilot pack which was removed due to the chip shortage. AFAIK some people on the Born forums have managed to enable it using OBD11 But you should still have ACC and Lane assist.

You can activate Travel Assist on the ID3 and the Born, but it's pretty pointless without the capacitative steering wheel because you have to keep jerking the steering wheel every 15 seconds to let the car know you haven't let the steering wheel go, which makes the car keep correcting your intervention. One person on the Born forums seemingly has a capacitative steering wheel, but no one else who's activated it has one (including me, with 2 Borns in the household).  

Thanks for the reply everyone!!, yes is strange that the born don’t have it when if you look close on the steering wheel near the acc button on the left you see the bottom for the travel assist but is not light up , so I guess maybe can come with a software update???, also I don’t know if someone alse see it but I found under the mirrors that we have cameras too but when reversing etc doesn’t even appears the option to look to the right or left camera like 360 view ??  

My button is lit up because I activated Travel Assist. However, as I stated before, it's pretty much useless without a capacitative steering wheel (and I don't have one of those - you almost certainly won't have one either). There are lots of options within OBD11 stated that you may not have the hardware for, but it's a "catch all" list that states lots of possible options, Just because an option is in the OBD11 long coding lists, doesn't mean you can activate it and get the function working.

Mögliche Codierungen am Cupra Born - ohne Gewähr - auf eigene Gefahr!

Dein Freundlicher könnte mit ODis-S die SFD-Freischaltung durchführen und anschliessend mit VCDS codieren, wenn er die entsprechenden Bytes kennt.

OBDeleven funktioniert aber gut, denen kann man bei der MEB iDR vertrauen

Fals es sich mit geschlossener Haube nicht codieren lässt, liegt es 1. An SFD und daran das im normalen Diagnosemodus der Gateway Filter aktiv ist, Entwicklungs Tools wie Diagra bei mir zeigen das aber an bei Start der Diagnosesesitzung an. In der Entwicklersitzung oder Endofline wird das aber nicht berücksichtigt. Soll bei codieren schützen das die Batterie während dessen geladen wird.

Gibt mittlerweile aber auch eine TPI bei Garantiefällen/Beanstandungen (Verdacht auf Einwirkung von Externen/Dritten) bei der die im System hinterlegten Codierungen mit dem Fzg abgeglichen werden. Jede SFD Freischaltung auch OBD Eleven werden im VW System zur Fin hinterlegt.

Da hat VW nicht nachgedacht als sie OBD Eleven lizenziert haben. Im System steht immer der Freischaltende mit seiner Händlernummer, außer bei OBD Eleven dort steht nur die Nummer von OBD Eleven.

Dadurch ist selbst bei Rückcodierung sichtbar das SFD codiert wurde.

Neue Generationnen kommen dann bald mit SFD 2 dort sind Codierungen nur noch mit SFD 1 Token + SFD 2 möglich.

SFD 1 ist dann nur noch für Stellgliedtest und Routinen notwendig.

Es wurde hier ja mal spekuliert, dass entweder die Updates nicht funktionieren oder die Codierungen zurückgesetzt werden könnten.

es gibt bis jetzt wenig Erfahrungen mit OTA-Updates in Verbindung mit "unautorisierten Kundenanpassungen".

Auch können diese Erfahrungen nicht zwingend pauschal geltend sein, denn beim OTA werden nicht immer die gleichen Daten upgedatet werden.

So kann es passieren, dass zwar die Software eines Steuergerätes angepasst wird, Parametersätze und Codierungen aber nicht verändert werden.

Umgekehrt genau so.

Fehler beim OTA hat es z.B. gegeben, wenn man zusätzliche Steuergeräte in den Verbund verbaut hat (z.T. AHK) und diese nicht über VW und damit im Backend freigeschaltet und hinterlegt wurden.

Zusätzlich ist es davon abhängig, ob Steuergeräte die FoD (Funktion-on-Demand) unterstützen, umcodiert werden sollten.

Dann kann es durchaus passieren, dass sobald ein online-Abgleich dieser Steuergeräte passiert, das Umcodieren wieder überschrieben wird, sobald das Fahrzeug sich online beim Werk meldet.

Vieles, was der zeit codiert wird, verursacht derzeit (!) wenig bis keine Probleme, sowie die Fahrzeuge nicht an die Werksdiagnose angeschlossen werden.

Grund ist aber wohl ehr, dass die wenigsten jetzt schon in den Service müssen und OTA Updates selten sind.

Diese kann sich mit jedem Update aber schlagartig ändern.

Dass VW in diesem Bereicht aktiv wird, zeigen die anstehenden Änderungen der SFD auf "SDF 2"

Mahlzeit! Ich interessiere mich für zwei eventuell mögliche Codierungen: - Knopf der Außenspiegelverstellung auf Position "R" beim Start

- Abschaltung der Benutzerbestätigung beim Start auf dem Hauptbildschirm

a) wäre das realisierbar?

b) mit VCDS oder OBDeleven?

c) gerne per PN an mich wenden, wenn jemand aus dem Kreis WW oder Raum Koblenz sowas umsetzen kann

Das würde mich persönlich auch interessieren. Das sind zwei Punkte die mich auf jeden Fall auch stören. Wobei ich nicht daran glaube das man die Nutzerbestätigung weg codieren kann.

Bisher habe ich mir schon erfolgreich den Schalter zum deaktivieren des Fernlicht Assistent ins Informationen codiert und das er sich auch zu Fahrtbeginn merkt das man es beim letzten Mal deaktiviert hat. Außerdem natürlich das er sich die Einstellung vom Lane Assistent von der letzten Fahrt beim Neustart merkt.

Den Schalter vom Spiegel Standardmäßig auf R wäre natürlich auch noch eine Super Sache. Zusammen mit dem deaktivierten Regensensor wäre ich dann alle Dinge die mich super nerven los bis auf die Anmeldung bei Fahrtantritt.

Hat hier jemand eine Idee, ob es möglich ist, ACC zu aktivieren?

Mein BORN hat nur Lane Assist/Front Assist und kein Tempomat oder ACC. Es hat alle Tasten am Lenkrad sowie einen Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzer.

Das Auto hat dieses Radar, ist es dasselbe wie die Leute hier, die ACC haben?

Ja das ACC und Kamera ist in der Serienversion(serienmäßigen Front-/Ausweich/Spurhalteassistent) immer das selbe wie in den Version mit adaptiven Tempomaten bis zum Travel Assist. Hier wird auch gerne von der High Version gesprochen. Der Einzige Unterschied sind die EInstellungen in Software/Steuergeräten. Allerdings hab nichts gefunden das es am ID3/Born nachcodiert wurde. Im Enyaq Longcode Leitfaden gibt es einen Punkt zur Aktivierung des Tempomaten:

Das Speichern per grünem Button rechts unten wird zunächst mit Fehlermeldung abgebrochen.

In dem Falle:

links im Menü auf Sicherheitszugriff klicken und hier den vorgeschlagenen Code „20103“ eingeben und mit OK bestätigen.

Nach dem erfolgreichen Sicherheitszugriff, rechts unten mit dem grünen Button erneut speichern (Drücken und halten).

Sieht dann nach

Auto verlassen, verriegeln, ein paar Minuten warten und wieder entriegeln
