History of Château Belmont

Château Belmont , a historically significant establishment, welcomes you to a 17th-century building surrounded by a 2.5-hectare park. Once planted with renowned vineyards due to its south-facing exposure, the château served as a hospital during the war of 1870.

After the war, Baroness Tellier de Blanrier acquired the property in 1880 and had ceiling paintings for the salon. In 1885, the vineyards made way for apple trees that produced cider for over sixty years.

Subsequent owners, passionate about flowers, decided to transform the estate into a research facility for tulips.

In 1987, Jean and Sophie Bardet opened a restaurant. Jean Bardet, a renowned chef, offered creative, gourmet, and refined cuisine.

In 2008, the AEGIDE group inaugurated its first hotel, giving life to Château Belmont.

Un service très agréable, une équipe à l’écoute et des plats gourmands. Service rapide en dépit d’une forte affluence.

Dîner semi-gastronomique délicieux, personnel attentionné et souriant, ambiance calme et chaleureuse, la Table du Château Belmont est un endroit à découvrir.

Excellente cuisine avec des produits locaux, de saison. Un service discret et parfait. Le cadre apporte une note supplémentaire à la soirée. Nous y retournerons.

Cuisine raffinée pour un menu au prix très abordable en semaine Personnel au top.... souriant très professionnel et attentionné

Un service irréprochable de bout en bout. Souriant, prévoyant, jeune. La salle de restaurant est lumineuse et silencieuse. Elle donne sur un parc agréable et paisible. La carte propose des options végétariennes alléchantes avec un menu à un prix juste (42€) au regarde de la... qualité des plats. De belles présentations, des accords intéressants et des sauces réussies. Les portions sont adaptées. Mention spéciale au nougat de chèvre qui ravira les personnes qui ne sont pas très tournées vers les desserts qui sont bien souvent trop sucrés (c’est le cas malheureusement ici aussi). Service au top! L'œuf parfait et le bœuf rossini valent le détour. Bravo au Chef et aux équipes! La carte des viens est abordable assez locale, et nous avions eu de bonnes recommandations en accord mets et vins! Efficace et excellent rapport qualité prix!

Les plats sont bons et copieux mais..... le foie gras était beaucoup trop froid et le dessert appelé "meringue" n'a rien de la pavlova inscrite (de la mousse "exotique", du chocolat blanc et pas de meringue...) nulle part n'est indiqué "revisitée".... Serveur très sympathique mais... curieux, un peu trop même.... mais il devait avoir des ordres... Plus

La dernière fois où j'ai mis les pieds au Château de Belmont j'ai discuté avec Jean Bardet. Depuis tout ce temps le lieu est resté tout aussi agréable à vivre; cependant il y a quelques règles qui ont été oubliées. La réservation : ouais! débit... des phrases à 100 à l'heure et impression de déranger : "surtout pas 20 heures, on vous attend à 19h45". Etonnant mais pourquoi pas; sur place je décharge de toute responsabilités de ce qui va suivre celui qui semble être le maître d'hôtel à la hauteur de son travail. Cependant le foie gras était impeccable néanmoins un peu cher pour ses 50 gr, mais recouvert d'une couche de glue bizarre à laquelle nous avons gouté du bout des lèvres à juste titre. Les Saint Jacques un peu cuites mais le tout était savoureux (cependant la grille noire recouvrant le plat n'était nullement nécessaire... sans explications), le suprême de volaille , excellent. Mon fondant au chocolat était parfait mais la poire tatin de mon épouse n'était pas trop à son goût, trop crémeuse. Quant au service il y a beaucoup à dire. Service type cantine; sans commentaire puisque la jeune serveuse semble ne pas connaitre ce qu'elle sert. Les vins excellents; les vouvray pétillant et tranquille et le chinon étaient à la hauteur de ce que l'on attendait. Nous avons attendu l'eau jusqu'au moment du dessert et le deuxième morceau de pain est arrivé en fin de service des plats!! Peut mieux faire pour les prix proposés; ils sont abordables mais élevés pour la classe que cet établissement nous a montrée. Plus

Les plats sont excellents (hormis le dessert Le Cercle qui est un peu en dessous du reste. En revanche le service pourrait (et devrait) être amélioré. Une serveuse me verse une sauce sans savoir ce que c'est. Les assiettes et le vin sont servis par... dessus la table. Le vin demandé n'était plus présent, on nous en a proposé un autre 5 € plus cher. Il aurait été commerçant voir normal de ne pas nous faire payer la différence Plus
