Inside Bethenny Frankel's New Hamptons Pad

The reality star spills her best design tips, plus what she always splurges on.

To date, Frankel has revealed the garage, her daughter Bryn's room , her own bedroom , and finally, the serene beachside outdoor space we maybe are dying to lounge in. Ahead, we've rounded up her most memorable tips, as well as some shopping inspo, should you choose to match Frankel's home style this summer.

Starting with the garage , the first video in the series, Frankel shows off what appears to be laminate flooring and artwork on the walls to make the space feel more styled. She insists on shelving and cabinets in the garage to hide away clutter and keep everything looking clean.

Next, Frankel gives fans a tour of her enviable outdoor space and touts her passion for repurposing her favorite furniture finds. "Like clothing, I think you should restyle your old furniture," she says. "I think people buy way too much." She adds that a majority of the furniture she has outside is either from old Target lines, TJ Maxx (we all know she loves TJ Maxx ), or from one of her storage units, and she simply repurposed the items to make them look like new again, if they needed repair.

"I'm getting rid of things all the time; it's just that I don't rush out to buy—I'd rather use what I have," she adds.

Along the same lines, Frankel repeatedly explains that if something doesn't work for her in the new Hamptons house, she's not quick to tear it out and replace it—she works with it to fit her aesthetic. They couldn't build a jacuzzi into the deck, so instead of tossing the one that was there, she simply surrounded it with wood to match the deck to make it look like it was built-in. And instead of removing the "really ugly" wood paneling in her bedroom, Frankel bleached it and painted it to make it look how she wanted.

Finally, in her bedroom tour, Frankel gives viewers insight into where she invests the most money in a reno. "I like to spend money on construction and things that hold value, not furnishings," she explains.

There’s something about seeing how others live that’s intrinsic to human nature. We love peeking into our favorite celeb homes  just as much as we love peeking into our neighbors’  living room  windows on a leisurely late-night stroll. Seeing how people fashion their homes provides an intimate, voyeuristic look at how they live. While we all want to imagine how Brooklyn Decker spends her Saturday afternoons sprawled in front of her fireplace or where Whitney Port watches her favorite TV shows, unless we're invited over by divine intervention, we'll never know. 

Thankfully, some of them have kindly let the MyDomaine team inside to shoot their space and to share their mutual love of interior design. When  Homepolish  unveiled a newly decorated screening room for reality TV sweetheart Whitney Port we were in awe. “Whitney is definitely a California beach girl,” says Homepolish designer Orlando Soria, who used her coastal flair as inspiration for the bright, laid-back space.

When Jessica Alba called on Sanders and Quattrone to redesign  her guesthouse , she wanted it to feel more like a mashup between a hotel and a house. The inspiration: New York landmarks with an old-world vibe, like The Bowery and Gramercy Park Hotels. And, seeing how the home is in Los Angeles, Alba also wanted to infuse a maritime essence—this is where the blue palette and bold stripes come in.

Constance Zimmer

The former  Entourage  star Constance Zimmer’s family home is a far cry from her persona in the show—the home she shares with her husband reads softer and more feminine. To achieve the look, the kitchen cabinets were painted a soft blue-gray, and the kitchen was accented with copper accents with an industrial feel. The adjoining living room makes the space feel even more inviting, with a plush sofa and a bright pink ottoman. Their dog, Nico, sure seems to approve.

Grayson Murray body discovered in Palm Beach Gardens home when he died by suicide

PGA Tour golfer Grayson Murray returned to his residence in Palm Beach Gardens last weekend before dying by suicide, according to Palm Beach Gardens police.

Murray's body was discovered Saturday at approximately 11 a.m. inside a residence in Palm Beach Gardens, according to police, who continue to investigate the incident.

Murray was 30.

The statement said the initial inquiry "does not reveal signs of foul play" and there is no apparent risk to the public. The police added no further information will be released as the investigation is being conducted.

Murray, a two-time PGA Tour winner, had moved to the area with his fiancée, Christiana Ritchie. He died one day after he withdrew from the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.

The PGA Tour posted a statement Sunday on X from the Murray family, indicating the golfer killed himself Saturday morning.

"We would like to thank the PGA Tour and the entire world of golf for the outpouring of support," Eric and Terry Murray said. "Life wasn't always easy for Grayson, and although he took his own life, we know he rests peacefully now."

Murray was a member of the Dye Preserve Golf Club  in Jupiter. He was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, attended Wake Forest, East Carolina and Arizona State where he played golf before turning pro.

In 2021, Murray called out the PGA Tour on social media, saying he hadn’t been given enough support through bouts with alcoholism and mental health challenges.

Kurt Thompson, General Manager of Dye Preserve, told The Palm Beach Post in a statement that "Grayson was very forthcoming about his past challenges and his desire to turn a new leaf. He seemed so happy and excited with the path he was on."

In his statement, Thompson said, "As we do with all prospective members, we took the opportunity to sit down with him to discuss our identity as a club and the culture that exists at The Dye. Grayson prioritized learning our staff’s names and would often play rounds with members and staff. The stories that are being shared regarding his kindness and generosity showed true every time he was at the Club."

These are the top 10 best Architectural Digest celebrity house tours...

1. robert downey jr..

First up we have Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan Downey's converted windmill abode. This is not your run-of-the-mill (see what we did there?) Hamptons summer home, it was designed by renowned New York City firm Fox-Nahem Associates who transformed the late-19th century windmill into a charming and very private East Hampton masterpiece with stunning grounds. The highlight? Susan's office in the very top of the windmill is the ideal WFH situation and we couldn't be more jealous.

In this very humorous home tour we get to see everything from Robert's art projects and clutter closets to their table-side nap zone and numerous cats. If you're in the mood for a chuckle, look no further.

2. Dakota Johnson

If you love all things mid-century modern, this is the celebrity home tour for you.

Architectural Digest kindly bring us inside the beautiful home of movie star Dakota Johnson. Formerly the home of director Ryan Murphy, Dakota purchased the super private Hollywood Hills home for $3.55 million in 2016. Features of envy include beautiful crushed mohair vintage sofas, her cozy office with book wall, gorgeous green kitchen, and backyard oasis complete with citrus trees, a heated swimming pool, and an elevated bamboo-sheltered hot tub area.

There isn't an inch of this lush but humble abode that we don't love.

4. Cara and Poppy Delevigne

You may never find more personality in a home thanks to the Delevigne sisters' jungle-inspired home in Los Angeles.

Nicolò Bini of Line Architecture told Architectural Digest of the home, “I wanted to create a true L.A. moment for them, with nods to California midcentury modern, Laurel Canyon bohemia, Beverly Hills swank, surfing culture, and a little Mexico. Then we tied all that in with Cara and Poppy’s Englishness to give the house another layer of Delevingne charm.” The interior of this home is one-of-a-kind, no doubt about it.

9. Tommy Hilfiger

Legendary fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and his wife Dee reportedly purchased this duplex penthouse apartment at the Plaza Hotel for $25.5 million in 2008 (they've since sold it for $31 million, although originally listed it for $80 million).

This Plaza apartment overlooks Central Park, with incredible views of the city as far as the eye can see. This particular unit steeped in history having once hosted the likes of The Beatles, Marilyn Monroe, and many more iconic figures. You won't find another apartment like this in New York City.

Come check out Aaron Paul's custom wood and stone Idaho home. Despite the house being enormous, it has a very cozy, almost cabin-like vibe to it, tucked away in the snowy mountains and surrounded by trees and lakes. Just watching this home tour will make you feel warm 'n' fuzzy inside.

With the help of interior designer Jake Arnold and Pearson Design Group, the Pauls purchased and used the wood from three 120-year-old barns to build the house from scratch. Drool over the cathedral ceilings, vast living spaces, stone bathrooms, spacious bedrooms, and an incredible floor-to-ceiling fireplace.

Last but not least, we just haaad to include icon Naomi Campbell's Kenya compound and airy villa. On the coast of the Indian Ocean, in the tranquil seaside town of Malindi, lies this tranquil and "very calming place".

Pop icon Madonna was hit with a lawsuit this week over her Celebration Tour after a Southern California man filed a complaint saying the massive stadium show he attended in L.A. forced him to view what he called sexually explicit content and caused him emotional distress.

“Pornography without warning, topless women on stage simulating sex acts,” were a couple of the aspects of Madonna’s show mentioned in the legal filing. The complaint also says the singer lip-synced through much of her performance, and Lipeles says that he was sweltering inside the KIA Forum; he became physically ill in the heat and Madonna ordered that the air conditioning be cut off as she performed, the suit claims. The pop star’s tardiness to the stage is also mentioned in the suit.

This isn’t the first legal action Madonna is facing over being late to the Celebration Tour . While the career retrospective show is billed as having an 8:30 p.m. start time, she has hit the state at 10:30 p.m. for other performances. 

“I am sorry I am late… no, I am not sorry, it’s who I am… I’m always late,” the complaint states that Madonna told her audience at a Dec. 17 performance.

Previously, two men filed a case over her stage tardiness, calling it “unconscionable, unfair and/or deceptive trade practices.” Madonna’s team claimed it was an unforeseen technical issue that caused the delay. The pop superstar faced a 2019 suit for being late to the stage during her Madame X Tour . That case was dismissed.

Marian Robinson, Michelle Obama's mother, dies at 86

WASHINGTON — Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s mother, Marian Robinson, has died, according to a family statement shared with NBC News. Robinson was 86 years old.

“She passed peacefully this morning, and right now, none of us are quite sure how exactly we’ll move on without her,” the family statement said.

The family statement is from Michelle and Barack Obama; Craig Robinson and his wife, Kelly; and Marian Robinson’s grandchildren, Avery, Leslie, Malia, Sasha, Austin and Aaron.

Robinson became known to Americans as the country’s first grandmother after her son-in-law, Barack Obama, won the 2008 presidential election. She was a fixture in the White House during his eight years in office, though she kept a low profile. She attended holiday events, the occasional overseas trip and concerts in the East Room. But most often she was with her granddaughters, Sasha and Malia.

Having lived in Chicago her entire life, Robinson agreed to move to Washington, D.C., in 2009 to live in the White House residence and help take care of her granddaughters, who were seven and 10 years old at the time.

“I felt like this was going to be a very hard life for both of them,” she later said in a CBS interview , referring to her daughter and son-in-law. “And I was worried about their safety, and I was worried about my grandkids. That’s what got me to move to D.C.”

In their statement Friday, Robinson's family members said she agreed to leave Chicago with "a healthy nudge."

"We needed her. The girls needed her. And she ended up being our rock through it all," they said.

"She relished her role as a grandmother. ... And although she enforced whatever household rules we’d set for bedtime, watching TV, or eating candy, she made clear that she sided with her 'grandbabies' in thinking that their parents were too darn strict," they added.  

In a statement released Saturday, President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden said, "We knew Mrs. Marian Robinson as a devoted mother and grandmother with a fierce and unconditional love of her family. With the blessing of friendship, we felt that love ourselves — with every quiet smile or warm embrace she shared with us."

"The entire Biden family sends its deepest love to Michelle, Craig, Barack, Kelly, and the six irrepressible grandchildren whom she helped to raise and so loved, and in whom her kind and gentle spirit lives on," the statement added.

Robinson was born in Chicago in 1937 and grew up in the city’s South Side, where she raised her daughter and son, Craig Robinson. She was married to Fraser Robinson, who died in 1991 from multiple sclerosis.

The former president once called his mother-in-law “the least pretentious person I know.” Indeed, Robinson said in the CBS interview that it was a “huge adjustment” being waited on by White House residence staff, whom she said she convinced to let her do her own laundry.

"Rather than hobnobbing with Oscar winners or Nobel laureates, she preferred spending her time upstairs with a TV tray, in the room outside her bedroom with big windows that looked out at the Washington Monument," the family said in its statement Friday. "The only guest she made a point of asking to meet was the Pope."

The former president credited Robinson with keeping his daughters grounded while they grew up in the White House.

“She’s down to Earth and she doesn’t understand all the fuss,” he said in an interview on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."

Michelle Obama was deeply close to her mother. It was Robinson who narrated the biographical video introducing her daughter at the Democratic National Convention in 2008. And after leaving the White House, Robinson said, “My saying is when I grow up, I would like to be like Michelle Obama.”

Just a few weeks ago, Michelle Obama paid tribute to her mother on Mother’s Day by announcing that an exhibit at the Obama Presidential Center Museum in Chicago will be named after her.

“In so many ways she fostered in me a deep sense of confidence in who I was and who I could be by teaching me how to think for myself, how to use my own voice, and how to understand my own worth,” the former first lady said in a video announcement. “I simply wouldn’t be who I am today without my mom.”

The family statement released Friday said "there was and will be only one Marian Robinson," adding, "In our sadness, we are lifted up by the extraordinary gift of her life. And we will spend the rest of ours trying to live up to her example."

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden welcomed the Kansas City Chiefs to the White House on Friday, lauding the back-to-back Super Bowl champion team for its sportsmanship on and off the field, and breaking an unofficial political rule about headwear. He tried on a Chiefs helmet the team gave him as a gift.

“It was cool to see him put the helmet on,” quarterback Patrick Mahomes told reporters after the celebration on the South Lawn. “We didn’t expect that.”

Coach Andy Reid speculated that Biden might have been the first president to wear an NFL helmet.

“You all witnessed it. It’s history being made,” said Reid, who appeared with Mahomes.

At the sun-splashed celebration, the Democratic president recalled that he had said during the Chiefs’ visit last year that the team is building a “dynasty.” He noted the struggles they encountered last season on the road to another Super Bowl trophy and said, “I don’t think anybody’s doubting you now.”

Of the doubters, Biden joked, “I know what that feels like.”

He referred to Mahomes as the “comeback king, not kid” and said he’ll never forget watching the game as the Marine One presidential helicopter brought him back to the White House that Sunday night.

The Chiefs came from behind in overtime to defeat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 to win the Super Bowl in Las Vegas in February. The Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles to win the Super Bowl in 2023.

They have won the Lombardi Trophy three times in the past five years.

Biden also lauded the players for their actions in February when gunfire rang out during Kansas City’s parade and rally honoring the team. A mother of two was killed, and others injured.

“We saw pride give way to tragedy,” Biden said, adding that, “amid the chaos this team stepped up.”

“‘This team is exceptional,” the president said, adding that the country as a whole must “do more to stop the tragic shootings before they happen.”

Kicker Harrison Butker , who made headlines by assailing some of Biden’s policies during a commencement speech earlier in May, accompanied his teammates to the White House. Butker recently defended his comments , saying he had no regrets about expressing his beliefs.

In the May 16 speech at Benedictine College , a private Catholic liberal arts school in Atchison, Kansas, Butker congratulated the women who were receiving degrees and said most of them were probably more excited about getting married and having children.

He criticized some of Biden’s policy positions, including the president’s condemnation of the Supreme Court’s reversal of its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion nationwide. Abortion is an issue that Biden and his fellow Democrats hope to use to their advantage in the November elections.

Butker also tackled Biden’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has killed nearly 1.2 million people in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Many of those who attended the celebration had hoped to catch a glimpse of singer Taylor Swift , tight end Travis Kelce ‘s girlfriend. She has been traveling abroad on her Eras tour and was not at the White House.

But the president and Kelce shared a moment when Biden said he’d invite Kelce, who often is brash and outspoken, to the microphone, “but God only knows what he’d say.”

Biden called him up anyway.

“My fellow Americans,” Kelce said to laughter. “It’s nice to see you all yet again.” Then he told Biden he was going back to his place on the riser because “they told me if I came up here I’d get tased.”
