How do you get Taylor Swift's '22' hat? Here's everything we know

taylor swift red eras tour hat

The “22" hat is the coveted headwear Taylor Swift fans hope to receive when attending the Eras Tour in stadiums across the world. During Taylor Swift’s magnum opus, she dons the “Red” era fedora along with one of six bejeweled T-shirts: "We are never getting back together like ever," "A lot going on at the moment," "Who’s Taylor Swift anyway? Ew," "This is not Taylor's Version," "I bet you think about me," and "I knew U were trouble."

As the singer skips down the catwalk with her dancers, a lucky fan waits at the end of the stage crying and dancing. When Swift arrives, she takes off the hat, places it on the fan's head and exchanges a friendship bracelet along with a core memory for the chosen Swiftie.

Eight-three hat recipients were selected in 2023 and the beginning of 2024. There are 69 lucky fans left to be crowned as the 3 1/2 hour show heads to Europe and North America.

Here’s everything we know about the Holy Grail of Swift fan fashion.

‘Dress up like hipsters’

Swift signs every brim with a metallic Sharpie. There’s a chic black tag sewn on the inside with the signature of Mexican-American haute couture milliner Gladys Tamez . It also reads “Handmade in Los Angeles.” Tamez is based in the California city and makes a collection of luxury head coverings that cost from $255 to $1550. While the "22" hat is one-of-a-kind, you can get a similar one called “Classic Fedora” for $385.

"I've been like so, so humble and so grateful to do this," says Tamez about being chosen to make the "22" fedora, "because I've worked with her team for a long time and then to have this moment, I was so excited."

One of the timeless, luxurious hats takes about 8-9 hours to mold by hand.

"There's not that many things in the world right now that are handmade," Tamez says. "I want to keep it going."

‘We’re happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time’

How are the fans chosen? Usually, it's random. Fans in the audience (usually dancing on the floor) are hand plucked by Swift's team. In other cases, Swifties have been picked because they went viral demonstrating their fandom to the superstar or they have incredibly inspiring stories. Then there’s those like Selena Gomez's sister, Gracie, or Kobe and Vanessa Bryant’s daughter, Bianka, who have a special bond with Swift.

“This lady came and tapped me on the shoulder,” Sarah Frances said in a TikTok explaining how she was randomly chosen for the hat in Atlanta. If you really want to know where Frances was April 29, she was on the floor dancing when a member of Swift's team discovered her.

“She asked me if I could go take a walk with her, which I thought I was in trouble for doing something,” she said. “I thought I was about to go to Taylor jail.”

The same thing happened in Chicago when Tina Avila surprised her daughter Isa with tickets. They were dancing when someone came up to them during the "Speak Now" era.

“It was random,” Avila said in the comments. “We did nothing special but sing our heart outs!”

In Pittsburgh , halfway through “Enchanted," someone came over to Renata Guarlotti and her daughter Katie and said, “I’m with Taylor’s crew, can you come with us? You will want to video this.”

In Minneapolis, Austin ( @austinandmikemn on TikTok ) noticedSwift's parents Andrea and Scott Swift entering the stadium and jumped up-and-down ecstatically asking to trade bracelets. During the concert, Austin was invited to the VIP tent to watch with Swift's parents and then before "22," he was escorted to the end of the stage. Austin smartly brought a Sharpie and asked Swift to sign his shirt.

On night three in Sydney, Swift's team chose Lily Gearside, the 5-year-old Aussie who went viral for her award-winning speech on Taylor Swift. The adorable video caught the attention of the superstar who commented and liked a few of the posts on TikTok. Lily’s mom, Jessica, mentioned where their seats were on social media and tagged Taylor Nation, Swift's marketing account. The mom and daughter had no idea that Lily would be chosen, and they were in the nosebleeds when a woman on Swift’s team came up to them during the “Lover” era. The worker asked them to grab their belongings.

“She takes us to a private lift and we get in with a security guard and it takes us from the 400 section to the ground level,” Jessica explains on TikTok . “We walk through these back sections and arrive at a door that leads to the floor.”

Jessica and Lily were handed wristbands that said “The Fearless Lounge” and escorted to the VIP tent where Swift’s dad Scott wanted to make sure Lily could see the stage. During “Long Live,” a team member came to get Lily and Jessica and lead them past the barricade to the stage.

‘It feels like the perfect night’

Taylor Swift's '22' hat from ‘Eras Tour' in Paris goes home with San Diego Swiftie

”i thought she was leading me to the exit until she stopped in front of the stage, and the guy asked, 'can i pick you up' and i was like, 'yeah' and then i finally realized what was happening", by brooke martell - meteorologist • published may 16, 2024 • updated on may 17, 2024 at 2:45 pm.

A trip to Paris can be the experience of a lifetime: Seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time or Notre Dame or a cruise on the Seine only scratch the surface of the beauty of the City of Lights.

Last week, thousands of people went to the City of Lights for another reason : To see Taylor Swift kick off the European leg of the "Eras Tour" at París La Défense Arena.

Those in attendance included 9-year-old Julissa Vargas and her mom, Telemundo 20 executive producer Kathia Lopez-Santos. The trip of Julissa's dreams turned into one she'll never forget.

Vargas received the surprise of her life when she attended Night 1 of the "Eras Tour" in Paris.

NBC 7's Brooke Martell, a Swiftie herself, asked Vargas what it was like being hugged by Taylor Swift. Because, yes, that happened.

"I don’t know. It was awesome," The 9-year-old said. "It was, I don’t know, it was one of the best moments of my life. And she gave me a high-five with her two hands.”

But a hug from the world-famous pop icon was not on the original itinerary. The original plan: a trip to Paris with her parents and a chance to see the singer. It's already something so many people, let alone a 9-year-old girl, could never imagine in their wildest dreams.

"I’ve always wanted to be in Paris,” Vargas said. "That’s my favorite!"

So, last week, after a long flight and a night of sleep, it was already time to get ready to see Swift. Wearing a black beaded dress, the Californian native couldn't wait.

"I was dressed Reputation-theme because that’s my favorite album — all of it," Vargas said.

As the mother and daughter made their way through the crowds of Swifties, they found their spots on the floor of the arena, waiting in anticipation for the night to begin.

"Everyone was there to dance, and the worst part: It was the tallest people," Vargas said.

They didn't have the best view, but that didn't matter.

"I was fine with it," she said. "I honestly just wanted to hear the music coming from her mouth, like hearing actual words in the actual moment."

Someone had their eye on Vargas though, which meant her experience was about to become unforgettable.

”I thought she was leading me to the exit until she stopped in front of the stage, and the guy asked, 'Can I pick you up? and I was like, 'Yeah!' " Vargas said. "And then I finally realized what was happening.”

It's a moment all Swifties dream of but only one gets to experience per night, as Swift performs her song "22."

For those who've attended the show or seen the concert clips online, this is a point in the show from the "Red" era. The singer skips down the runway of the stage, and there's always someone at the end of it waiting for her. This time, it was Julissa Vargas.

”I could only hear the part where she says, 'Can I give you a hug?' and she also said, 'Thank you for coming,' " Vargas said.

A hug and she received something to keep: the coveted "22" hat.

"This is the hat she gave me, and it’s signed inside," Vargas said, gesturing.

It's a night the 9-year-old will never forget.

"I still can't believe it actually happened to me," Vargas said. "I see the YouTube Shorts and I'm still like, 'Me?' "

She said she'll never forget that moment and sees herself as a lifelong fan of Taylor Swift.

”I’m the luckiest girl in the world," Vargas said.

Don't worry: After Vargas met Swift, she was taken to the VIP section where she and her mother had the best view to watch the rest of the show.

Taylor Swift kicked off her Eras Tour in Glendale, Ariz. last night, delivering a 44-song set that lasted more than three hours. Somehow, the only time Swift paused throughout the night was to make a quick outfit change, disappearing into thin air only to return in a brand-new (and often bejeweled) look.

Instead of journeying through her 10 albums chronologically, Swift opted to mix up her musical eras, starting with 2019’s “Lover” before transitioning into 2020’s “Evermore.” “Reputation” was up next, followed by a short stint in “Speak Now,” during which she only performed “Enchanted.” Songs from “Red,” “Folklore” and “1989” came after, and then Swift performed a short acoustic set consisting of “Mirrorball” and “Tim McGraw” from her first, self-titled album — a tradition she said she’ll change up for every show, without repeating a song. Swift ended the night with her most recent release, “Midnights,” bringing fans back to the present.

Each era was accompanied by jaw-dropping sets, stunning choreography and, of course, custom outfits to represent each specific moment in Swift’s life and career. See all of the looks from the first night of the Eras Tour below.

Swift opened the show with the “Lover” era, wearing a sparkly pink-and-blue bodysuit.

Meet the LA designer behind Taylor Swift's '22' hat that's changing lives: 'It's been beautiful'

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Before Taylor Swift takes the stage during her highly anticipated "Eras Tour," you'll likely hear fans ask, "Who's going to get the hat tonight?"

During the first show of Swift's concert series at SoFi Stadium, the Grammy winner shared a special moment with Bianka Bryant, daughter of Kobe and Vanessa Bryant.

While performing her song "22," Swift gave the hat she was wearing to Bianka. The exchange quickly went viral online.

Giving the "22" hat to a fan during each live performance has become a tradition for the singer and the creator of those hats said it was an incredible honor to be part of such a tender moment.

"I woke up to that beautiful news, I was so excited because for me, I've been growing up watching Kobe, and it was so sad for me what happened," said Gladys Tamez, who runs Gladys Tamez Millinery in Los Angeles .

Tamez's hat design is worn by Swift every night. Swift's team reached out to the designer during the planning stage of the tour, needing enough hats to go around.

"I was like, 'Oh my God, how many? How are we going to do it? I had lots of questions, but I have the best materials ..."

She also has plenty of experience. Her designs have been worn by stars like Lady Gaga, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus.

Tamez has always had love for her craft and through the "Eras Tour," she's been able to witness that love be shared with so many young, deserving fans across the country.

"It means a lot because with my designs, I've touched somebody's heart, you know? It's been beautiful."

A hat that for many Swifties, fits like an old song that you still know by heart or a new friend you feel you've known forever.

Here’s Everything Taylor Swift Wore and Sang During the Eras Tour Opening Night

By Emily Tannenbaum

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

Scoring a ticket to the Eras Tour may have felt like the eighth circle of hell , but it sounds like Taylor Swift's opening night was pure heaven on earth.

On March 18, Swift kicked off the tour in Glendale, Arizona (a.k.a. Swift City ), performing for a crowd of 80,000 for the first time since her last tour in 2008. Celebrating all 10 of her albums—including the latest LP, Midnights —Swift's set included 44 songs, 16 backup dancers, and at least 13 outfit changes. According to People , the entire show lasted three hours and 13 minutes, which, of course, is the artist's favorite number.

The trick to the quick change is keeping everything else simple, as Keira Knightley would agree . Throughout the entire night, Swift wore her hair straight, her eyeliner winged, and her lips her signature shade of red. Here's everything Taylor Swift wore and sang on the first night of the Eras Tour. Warning: Set list spoilers past this point.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

According to Elle , Swift began with Lover , taking audiences through “Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince,” “Cruel Summer,” “The Man,” “You Need to Calm Down,” “Lover,” and “The Archer.” To represent the album, People reports, Swift wore a sparkling Versace bodysuit before switching into a boardroom-approved sparkling suit jacket perfect for “The Man.” Personally, I'm drawn to her sparkling Christian Louboutin boots, which appeared multiple times throughout the night.

For Fearless , Swift rocked a golden Alberta Ferretti fringe dress to perform “Fearless,” “You Belong With Me,” and “Love Story.” Baby, just say yes.

Swift then opted for a sweet embroidered orange corset dress to perform multiple songs off Evermore for the first time live, including “’Tis The Damn Season,” “Willow,” “Marjorie,” “Champagne Problems,” and “Tolerate It.”

Perhaps the most interesting look Swift rocked, however, was the asymmetrical, half-leg bodysuit she changed into for her Reputation era. The pop star reportedly belted out “Look What You Made Me Do” in a black sequined ensemble covered in vibrant red snakes, which seem to reference her infamous feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West .

In stark contrast, Swift referenced her sequined Valentino look from the Speak Now tour with a romantic gown by Nicole + Felicia, per People . “Enchanted,” indeed.

Based on the photos, my favorite portion of the night came when Swift embraced her Red era. To start, she performed “22” in a new version of her sequined T-shirt from the 2013 music video , switching the text from “Not a lot going on at the moment” to “A lot going on at the moment.”

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

After passing her hat off to a fan , Swift removed the shirt to reveal a black and red sequined Ashish romper for “We Are Never Getting Back Together” and “I Knew You Were Trouble” before adding a matching long coat for the full 10-minute version of “All Too Well.”

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

Next came Folklore. Swift reportedly performed all seven of her chosen songs—“Invisible String,” “Betty,” “The Last Great American Dynasty,” “August,” “Illicit Affairs,” “My Tears Ricochet,” and “Cardigan”—in a dreamy lavender dress by Alberta Ferretti.

“A sort of a running theme in my music is that I love to explain to men how to apologize,” Swift told the crowd of “Betty.” “I just love it. It's kind of my thing. I love to tell them, step-by-step, here's how simple this is to fix things. If you just follow these easy steps that I'm laying out for you in a three-minute song…. Just love the idea of men apologizing.”

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

For 1989, Swift kept things light and fun, performing “Style, “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off,” “Wildest Dreams,” and “Bad Blood” in a pink crystal skirt and top set by Roberto Cavalli.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

Swift followed up 1989 with an acoustic performance of “Mirrorball.” However, she told the audience she plans on switching things up for each show.

Swift was dressed in a tiered magenta gown, which she kept on to sing “Tim McGraw” from her debut album, Taylor Swift .

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

Swift closed out her show with one of her most dramatic transitions, diving under the stage in her purple dress and emerging in a short sequined number and climbing up a ladder into the clouds, where she added a purple coat. Could there be a more perfect intro to Midnights ?

Taylor Swift Eras Tour

From Midnights , Swift performed “Lavender Haze, “Anti-Hero,” “Midnight Rain,” “Vigilante Shit,” “Bejeweled,” “Mastermind,” and “Karma.” But she wasn't all out of tricks yet.

In the middle of “Midnight Rain,” Swift whipped out yet another quick change, falling gracefully behind a wall of umbrellas before stepping out of the fray in a sparkling blue Oscar de la Renta bodysuit and matching Christian Louboutin boots.

Can we have a bit of commotion for this rainbow fringe jacket?

Yeah, this was well worth the wait.

Have You Ever Wondered How Taylor Swift Chooses Who Gets The ‘22’ Hat On The Eras Tour? Lucky Fans Shared Their Stories

Taking notes.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has many traditions. The pop star always plays two surprise songs at every show, she always dives into the stage for a costume change, and she always gives her black hat to a fan during “22.” There are tens of thousands of fans in the stadium during a given concert, so being the “Lucky One” chosen to be gifted Swift’s hat is almost impossible. So, how does the singer’s team choose the person who gets the famous hat? Let’s break it down.

SAO PAULO, BRAZIL - NOVEMBER 24: (EDITORIAL USE ONLY. NO COVERS.) A young fan exchanges friendship bracelets with Taylor Swift as she performs onstage during

How Taylor Swift Chooses Who Gets The “22” Hat According To One Young Fan

Like the lil Swiftie pictured above, Grace DelVecchio is a 12-year-old girl from Yorktown, New York, who was picked out of the crowd to receive the “Red” singer's hat during "22." Her family told a local Yorktown publication, TapInto Yorktown, that the moment was actually "a long time coming." DelVecchio has a special story, and she has loved Swift for years. When the family was fortunate to snag tickets to the Era’s Tour, the 12-year-old’s speech pathologist, Jenn Sparano, looked for a way for DelVecchio to meet the Midnights artist. She said:

I started reaching out to different background dancers. I was emailing the Taylor Swift PR team. I was messaging Taylor Swift. But I obviously didn’t hear back from anyone.

While she may not have heard from Swift’s team, the New York Post found DelVecchio’s story that Sparano posted on Facebook, and published an article about it. Still, there was no word from the Swift camp.

That all changed when security found the young girl and her father during the concert and brought her to the front of the stadium for a special moment. She was brought to the front, and the Grammy winner handed DelVecchio her hat, which she now keeps in a shadow box. Reflecting on the moment the special gal said:

I was shaking, I was so nervous to see her. It made me feel special.

That is such a remarkable moment and clearly, the campaigning worked. I’m sure the process for choosing someone to keep the hat is slightly different for every show, but this is some great insight into how moments like these come to fruition. Swift often chooses very young fans to receive her hat, making for an adorable picture-perfect memory that the fan will likely never forget.

Sometimes People Swift Knows Personally Get The “22” Hat

While the majority of the “22” hat recipients come from the crowd and are kids who idolize Swift, sometimes the singer bestows part of her costume on someone she knows personally.

For example, when Swift’s bestie Selena Gomez brought her 9-year-old sister Gracie to a show, that’s who the pop star gave her hat to.

Also, when the Eras Tour was in LA, Swift gave her hat to Kobe Bryant’s daughter Bianka, as the “22” singer and the kiddo’s father were acquainted.

Ultimately, this emotional “22” moment is what ended up in Swift’s Eras Tour film to represent all the Swifties who have had the honor of receiving the hat.

Swifties Who Are Prominent On Social Media Also Get The “22” Hat

Along with little Swifties and friends of the pop star getting the hat, the singer and her team will choose fans who are popular online.

For example, the "Cruel Summer" singer notability gave her hat to 22-year-old TikTok star Mikael Arellano, who originated the viral dance to “Bejeweled” that Swift replicates in her choreography on tour, during one of her shows.

Then, during her concerts in Australia, she gave a hat to the TikToker Oliver Mills, which you can see below:

@olivermillsn Heres two minutes of the most incredible moment in my life ♬ original sound - Oliver Mills

In another TikTok , he made it clear that he doesn’t want to reveal how he got the hat. However, in various videos, like the one below, you can gather other information about this sweet Eras Tour moment, like the fact that Swift signs all the hats she gives to fans:

@olivermillsn ♬ original sound - Oliver Mills

While it may not seem like Swift is paying attention to fans who go above and beyond to show their love for her music, moments like this prove she is. The record-breaking recording artist has invited her most ardent fans to early listening parties for her albums in the past by finding them through social media. She has also sent merch boxes to some fans during Christmas time to show her love and appreciation. The “Anti-Hero” singer is clearly grateful for her fans, and she gives back however she can.

You can catch Taylor Swift on the worldwide Eras Tour for the rest of 2024. Fans of the pop princess unable to get tickets due to the infamous Ticketmaster fiasco , can still witness the magic of one of her stadium shows by streaming the Eras Tour with a Disney+ subscription starting on March 14. Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is almost in the UK, so here’s what to wear to the concert

By Sophie Cockett and Hattie Cotmore

Taylor Swift Eras Tour Outfit Ideas What To Wear For Each Era 2024

All products are independently selected by our editors. If you buy something, we may earn an affiliate commission. Learn how we test .

Taylor Swift has kicked off the European leg of her sell-out, record-breaking, earthquake -inducing Eras Tour – which means her UK shows are coming. Swifties, are you ready for it ? And more importantly, what are we all wearing?

It's not as though we've had little time to prepare. Taylor's first concert was held in March last year (!), but as is the case with holiday packing and festival outfit selection, we've left it to the last minute.

Choice is abundant, of course. We've know, because we've memorised the entire set list . From the classics on Fearless – here's hoping we see a Love Story proposal – to all The Tortured Poet's Department songs, yes all 31 of them, every era is covered. As such, which one to choose – and the best accompanying Eras Tour outfit – remains hot topic in the GLAMOUR office.

Image may contain Performer Person Solo Performance Adult Formal Wear Clothing Dress and Electrical Device

Speak Now (Taylor's version, ofc.) equals lilac hues and frills aplenty. Bonus points for butterflies in undone hair. If you're a 1989 fan, blue is the colour to go for – paired with denim and a cowboy hat as a finishing touch.

Folkmore (Taylor's on-stage combo of Folklore and Evermore ) looks take inspo from warm, earthy tones. Think: lace and sheer textures, plus gold jewellery to tie the Ivy together. Red is, well, red! Put a grown-up spin on the era with a Reformation evening top you're sure to wear post-eras tour.

Whatever your chosen era, our in-house Swifties have scoured the internet to find the very best Taylor Swift Eras Tour outfit. Just remember an arm-full of friendship bracelets to trade on the night.

Got your vision? Shop our favourite Eras Tour outfit picks, by era, below…

The first section of the tour is Lover – an era which is signified by growth and comfort – and which sees Taylor kick things off in an iridescent purple custom Versace bodysuit . She pairs it with fishnet tights, a purple mic, and an equally glitzy pair of  custom, studded Louboutin boots .

This sequin-adorned co-ord from ASOS has Lover written all over it – not least because it does all the talking for you. The sequin boots are totally optional (I found some on ASOS Marketplace , if you're on board), but all you really need to finish the look is a pair of heart-shaped sunnies and Too Faced's That's My Jam eyeshadow palette . Alongside the the winged liner and red lippie , it'll help you achieve a sweet, Taylor-approved makeup look.

2. Fearless

Fearless is, potentially, my favourite era – one where Taylor keeps hold of the sparkly boots but switches the bodysuit for a shimmery, metallic dress. Fringing is a huge theme across all of her eras, but it's the star of the show in her Fearless custom Roberto Cavalli dress – later traded for another fringed dress, but in silver.

ASOS Design's chain fringe belt will help you recreate the look without having to invest in a sequin fringed dress that you'll likely never wear again. Best worn over a white ruffle mini skirt – that you'll definitely be able to pair with bikinis on a summer holiday later this season. A sequin cami top would act as the perfect take on Taylor's Cavalli number, while a pair of gold cowboy boots nod to the era that cemented Taylor as a global superstar and style icon.

Image may contain: Blouse, Clothing, Adult, Person, and Sleeve

This one's easy. If the era of 22 and I Knew You Were Trouble is your favourite – the one in which Taylor revisits the "Not A Lot Going On At The Moment" T-Shirt from the "22" music video, and later, another shirt that says, “We Are Never Getting Back Together, Like Ever," – then a slogan tee or head-to-toe red is the vibe.

Etsy stocks a variety of Taylor Swift lyric t-shirts, while Taylor's-adored Reformation stocks a bardot knit red top which would absolutely be reworn with jeans throughout the summer. Red lipstick is a must with this Eras Tour outfit.

We've been loving Taylor for quite some time, time, time.

4. Speak Now

Taylor sings one singular song from the Speak Now era in her tour, much-adored Enchanted – and to do so, she has worn a bespoke Nicole + Felicia Couture gown , a Zuhair Murad Couture custom gown , an Ellie Saab Fall 2020 gown, and a gown also by Saab from the 2022 AW collection. All of which a resurgence, in many ways, of the Valentino gown she wore to sing the same song on her Speak Now tour.

Of course, similar levels of glitz might be a tad overboard for attending the concert yourself (no judgement, though) – so opting for purple, as well as butterfly motifs, is a good way to bring her iconic tulle cover to life. ASOS Design's frill mini dress plays into Gen-Z's current adoration of cottagecore , while the clip-in butterflies and More To Come's butterfly top add a playful injection to your Eras Tour outfit.

Image may contain: Clothing, Dress, Adult, Person, Formal Wear, and Beachwear

5. Reputation

Moody, grungy and dark is the vibe for Reputation girlies, and we're convinced this sequin mini dress by Topshop at ASOS is the perfect outfit from which to scream ‘ Don't Blame Me ,’ ‘ Delicate ,’ and ‘ Look What You Made Me Do ’ from the top of your lungs.

You'd be taking inspo from Taylor's own Reputation costume if you invest: she brings fierce energy in an asymmetrical black Roberto Cavalli bodysuit during this segment of the tour. Once again, adorned in sparkles.

Image may contain: Clothing, Dress, Adult, Person, Evening Dress, Formal Wear, and Fashion

6. Folkmore (“Folklore” and “Evermore” combined)

Beautiful boho vibes are the name of the game for those looking for Folkmore-inspired outfit ideas, with milkmaid dresses your best option for mirroring the muted  purple Alberta Ferretti and Alberta Ferretti dresses Taylor wears for this section of the show. Think: fairytale, rustic and whimsical. Comfort is key, obvs, so pair your boho Motel Jati dress with a pair of Gigi Hadid -approved Adidas Gazelles.

Image may contain: Clothing, Dress, Adult, and Person

Roberto Cavalli is, once again, behind the sequin two-piece that Taylor wears for the era of Blank Space , Shake It Off and Wildest Dreams . But while Taylor opts for magenta or bright green chunky fringe and sequins, we're convinced that taking inspiration from the New York views, girl squad hangouts and seagulls that depicted 1989 is the best route to go down with your outfit.

H&M's strap detail top would look epic paired with white jeans or denim shorts and cowgirl boots – and this cute fur-trimmed cowgirl hat can definitely be reworn at all those hen parties throughout the summer. Throw an open linen shirt over your Eras Tour outfit to fight the British weather.

Image may contain: Clothing, Hat, Cowboy Hat, and Sun Hat

Released on April 19, 2024, The Tortured Poets Department is the eleventh studio album by Taylor – and her latest. When it dropped earlier this year, it not only set new Spotify streaming records, but resurfaced Kardashian drama and kickstarted a new era for us to gain outfit inspo from.

On #SwiftTok, the TTPD aesthetic has been compared to everything from "greyscale clean girl" to “prep school dropout”, but the easiest – and most in-keeping – ways to mirror the vibe are by following “ office siren ” or “ dark academia ” aesthetics. Think: rose motifs, sleek blazers, tailored trousers, unbuttoned shirts and monochrome. Or, keep it simple with black jeans and this ”But Daddy, I Love Him" tee from Etsy.

Image may contain: Clothing, T-Shirt, Shirt, Adult, Person, and Sleeve

9. Midnights

For the last – but not least – era on our outfit tour: Midnights. And in navy blue sequins, you'll look like you've stepped right out of Taylor's age of extravagance and reflection. Being in your Midnights era, after all, is thinking back to past versions of yourself (and wondering whether that's still you). You need to look bejewelled.

Taylor wears a custom Oscar De La Renta gown for this part of her tour, loose-fitting and studded in iridescent crystals – paired with a fur coat, also custom by Oscar De La Renta. She sheds layers as the era progresses, finally revealing a custom Oscar De La Renta bodysuit to perform Vigilante Sh*t . Topshop's navy disco sequin dress is reminiscent of Taylor's look, best paired with hair gems and silver accessories – like this epic shoulder bag from Pull & Bear.

The L.A.-based milliner Gladys Tamez worked in collaboration to create a custom hat for Taylor’s use on the Eras Tour. The hat’s style appears to be a blend of a pork pie and 70s fedora.

In continuing an old tradition from the RED Tour, Taylor signs the underside of the hat’s brim to hand out to a lucky fan each night. The Gladys Tamez team confirmed to me that enough hats were made to last the whole tour.

The word "cardigan" was never the same again after the release of Folklore. If it looks like the weather is going to be chilly on the day of your Taylor Swift concert, a knit varsity cardigan is an authentic move. Otherwise, take a cue from Taylor's performance outfit and go for a flowy, ethereal dress in muted shades of purple or cream.

The 35 Best Taylor Swift Outfits from the Red Era — Like, Ever

Getty Images

Dissecting the many stages of Taylor Swift ’s music — and corresponding style — has become an international pastime, especially during the run of her Eras tour. And a perpetual fan favorite? Her Red era. To refresh your memory: The Red album was released on October 22, 2012, and the corresponding Red tour ran from March 2013 to June 2014. Of course, we were treated to a part two when her re-recorded Red (Taylor’s Version) came out on November 12, 2021.

Not only was Red a groundbreaking moment in Swift’s musical transition from country star to pop star, it was also a pivotal time in her style evolution. Swift was 22 when the album came out (and famously wrote a song about the formative age), and she started to leave behind some of the styles of the teenage years when she first became famous. She traded flowing curls for blunt bangs and princessy gowns for high-waisted short-shorts and edgier hats, and naturally, wore so much bright red — clothing and lipstick both.

One of her most enduring songs of the era, “All Too Well” clearly detailed a relationship that took place in the fall, and so lots of cozy sweaters, plaid patterns, and of course, scarves, also featured prominently in her everyday wardrobe during these years.

Now, as fans are recreating Red looks for the Eras tour, they’re wearing black and white blouses (an homage to the Red cover art), recreations of the notorious “Not a Lot Going on at the Moment” T-shirt from her “22” video, and crimson shorts with sparkly tops. We found all those looks and more when we took a look back at 35 of the best outfits Swift wore during that original Red Era, from casual nights out with friends to major red carpets to her official tour wardrobe.

A Plaid Scarf

NCP/Star Max/FilmMagic

A scarf was the defining accessory of Red , and Taylor wore them a lot in this phase. When she stepped out in N.Y.C. on this day, she wrapped a plaid one over a warm brown coat and knit tights.

A Cozy Coffee

We all know the infamous maple lattes that were integral to the era, so it’s not a surprise to see a Starbucks cup here, along with a cozy beanie and a velvety jacket.

Horizontal Stripes

Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

Stripes and skinny jeans were style staples at this point in Taylor’s life (and fashion generally) — as was hanging out with pal Selena Gomez.

Sparkly Top and Shorts

 Kevin Mazur/WireImage

The super-sparkly top and high-waisted shorts combination was an oft-repeated performance outfit during this time period. Hat optional but highly encouraged.

Brian Killian/WireImage

See? Keep that sparkly top, swap the black shorts for red, and bam! Another perfect Red stage look.

Glittery Oxfords

Juan Naharro Gimenez/Getty Images

Yet another variation of the sparkly shirt and shorts combo for an offstage moment — and note the lace-up oxfords, a signature Taylor shoe of the era, in a special glittering version.

A Basic Black Tee

JB Lacroix/WireImage

More skinnies, more red lipstick — hey, if it ain’t broke! Skinny jeans might not be in their era at the moment, but you have to admit this outfit is a classic.

Isaac Brekken/Getty Images for Clear Channel

Another outfit formula for this phase? Red lip, matching dress, and nude heels. This lace version was particularly sweet.

A Dotty Sweater

Will/GC Images

Again, we see that classic red, white, and black color combination Taylor favored in those days. As a switch-up for stripes, she incorporated polka dots into this look.

Golden Glam

Mario Magnani/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

When Taylor hit red carpets or other formal events in this era, she leaned towards ultra feminine, neutral dresses and gowns — this white coat and shimmery dress are a great example.

A Pleated Skirt

TOE/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

The typical red shirt gets a schoolgirl touch with a gray pleated skirt.

Yellow Florals

DISCIULLO/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

This yellow dress and sweater outfit stepped outside the usual red color palette, but stuck with Taylor’s favorite feminine silhouette of fitted waists and full skirts.

An Oversized White Shirt

Spotted: several over those Red staples, including a white blouse, a dark red bowler hat, and lace-up shoes.

A Sweet Lace Dress

Ed Rode/FilmMagic

Another neutral red carpet look, this time with a full-skirted lace dress—and a rare nude lip to match.

A Flowy Gown

Caroline McCredie/Getty Images

This cream-colored gown she wore to the Aria awards was a much softer, flowing silhouette than some of her other red carpet dresses — and it’s also one of the prettiest.

A Cozy Coat — and Famous Date

David Krieger/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

This relationship would (allegedly) fuel much of her next album 1989 , but the autumnal outfit Taylor wore in Central Park with Harry Styles was pure Red Era.

A Striped Dress

Jeffrey Mayer/WireImage

This dress could truly never go out of style — black pumps and a striped dress in a classic cut.

Circus Ringleader

DANIEL ROLAND/AFP via Getty Images

In performances and on tour promoting the album, Taylor often sported this circus ringleader ensemble.

A Deco Gown

Ian West/PA Images via Getty Images

Another neutral gown on the red carpet, this one with Deco-inspired diamond patterns (and a rare nude lip!).

James Devaney/WireImage

Taylor looked sleek and chic in this all-black ensemble, but naturally, added a pop of color with her signature lip.

A Beaded Red Gown

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

For the 2012 CMAs, Taylor opted for a neutral gown with red beading that stayed true to her color palette, but upped the elegance factor.

Fedora-Topped

FOX Image Collection via Getty Images

Another hat, another white blouse, another pair of sparkly shoes… and you see what she did with the microphone there? Clever gal.

A Gold Mini

 Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Taylor went full bombshell at the 2013 AMAs, with a gold minidress that was one of her more daring looks of the Red Era.

rune hellestad/Corbis via Getty Images

This has to be that “red lip classic thing that you like” she would write about soon thereafter, don’t you think?

Plaid Pants

Kevin Mazur/WireImage

She may have immortalized the phrase “plaid shirt days” but plaid pants worked too. This cozy buckled sweater completed this warm look for an outdoor performance.

Gown and Gloves

Christopher Polk/TAS/Getty Images for TAS

Possibly the most literal of her Red tour costumes, this gown with full length gloves goes all in on her signature color.

Black Short Shorts

Taylor remixed her go-tos with this tour look, wearing leather shorts, a lace top, fedora, and red oxfords.

Stripes and Red

You already know what’s black, white, and red all over. (It’s Taylor for most of 2013.)

Heart T-Shirt

Taylor wore this shirt proclaiming her love of L.A. while performing there — a precursor to the infamous “I Heart T.S.” shirt of the brief Tom Hiddleston days?

Adam Taylor/Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images

A jaunty little twist on the tried-and-true stage shorts combo: Taylor added polka dots and a red bow tie into the equation.

A Chiffon Gown

Dominic Lipinski - WPA Pool/Getty Images

Taylor opted for this super pretty Reem Acra gown to hang out with Prince William (remember?!).

Raymond Hall/GC Images

How cozy does Taylor look in this covetable cropped camel coat and fingerless gloves?

Major Sparkle

Kevin Kane/FilmMagic

Taylor turned up the shine to an epic level to perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, where she performed while the models walked the runway.

A White Suit

This 2012 VMAs red carpet look was quite a departure from her typical style at the time, but it was a great one — and seemingly set the tone for some of the more fashion-forward and daring looks she’d try in later years.

A Lingerie-Inspired Gown

Frank Trapper/Corbis via Getty Images

For the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, Taylor wore one of her sultrier red carpet looks: this lingerie inspired, lacy chiffon gown in — surprise! — red.

Taylor Swift

The lucky one! Taylor Swift offered the hat she wore while performing “22” to a dancer in the audience of her concert in Arlington, Texas, on Sunday night.

The Swiftie, Jaylan Ford, posted the sweet moment on TikTok, writing, “Omggg!! Im soo happy @taylorswift @taylornation gave me her hat [and] signed it for me omggg!! I couldn’t even sleep man im a swiftie for life be outside today.”

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez’s Little Sister Sweetly Exchanged Gifts During Texas ‘Eras…

Trending on billboard.

The surprise gift capped what was already a magical night for the Texas-based dancer, whose mom crowdfunded the floor-seat ticket by launching a GoFundMe page . “My name is Alena I’m Jaylan’s mom and I’m setting this up for our beloved Jaylan Ford to fulfill one of Jaylan’s BIGGEST DREAMS!! Which is to see Taylor Swift! Jaylan can be seen rocking it out on Cooper Street just about every day! Jaylan dances to bring smiles to faces and loves dancing for the city!!” she wrote on the fundraiser page, which ultimately brought in a total of $3,178 through more than a hundred mostly anonymous donations.

The night before, Swift gave her hat to another fan: Selena Gomez’s younger sister Gracie Teefey. The 9-year-old sweetly offered her famous sister’s equally famous BFF a handmade friendship bracelet in exchange for the item of clothing.

Watch Swift give Ford her “22” hat below.

Taylor Swift Sports New '22' T-Shirt During 2nd Eras Tour Show in Paris

The singer's T-shirt featured the lyrics of her song 'I Bet You Think About Me' during her show on Friday, May 10

Kevin Mazur/TAS24/Getty

The surprises keep coming on the Paris leg of Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour!

When Swift's record-breaking tour kicked off again on Thursday, May 9, at La Défense Arena, Swifties were treated to a very new show than they have seen in past cities.

Along with many outfit changes during the performance, the pop star, 34, added songs from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department , to her setlist.

One Eras tour tradition that Swift kept, however, was wearing a custom Ashish Gupta T-shirt while performing her hit "22" during the Red (Taylor's Version) portion of the show. At Thursday night's show, the shirt turned heads, reading "This Is Not Taylor's Version" instead of displaying lyrics from her songs, as the garment usually does.

But, as seen on the official Eras Tour X (formerly Twitter) account, the "Down Bad" singer returned to tradition during Friday night's show at La Défense.

"TAYLOR SWIFT STUNS IN NEW 'RED' 22 SHIRT FOR TONIGHT'S SHOW OF 'THE ERAS TOUR' IN PARIS, FRANCE! #ParisTSTheErasTour ," read the text above a photo of Swift in a shirt reading "I BET YOU THINK ABOUT ME." The "All Too Well" singer also sported her usual black hat with the outfit as she sang.

"I Bet You Think About Me" is Swift's duet with Chris Stapleton , featured on Red (Taylor's Version ).

Swift's performance of "22" has become a highlight of her concerts, as she often gifts the hat to a special audience member — like a young girl with cancer and late basketball star Kobe Bryant 's daughter Bianka .

The "Fortnight" singer also made the sweet gesture on Friday night in Paris.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour UK setlist and surprise song predictions

Taylor Swift in a white dress performing onstage on the Eras Tour

The Lover House is burned down, Speak Now is fighting for her life, and we’re all afraid of little old Taylor Swift as she brings the Eras Tour to the UK.

The 34-year-old’s mammoth three-and-a-half-hour set has sold out arenas in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, and six shows in London.

UK-based Swifties have really gone all out, with Capital FM releasing a radio station dedicated to the All Too Well icon.

Paris night one revealed an entirely new tour version as the Tortured Poets Department took centre stage and the entire Eras Tour was changed, from bodysuits to choreography.

Fans had already speculated there might be a switch up after she released the Eras Tour film before her tour had finished but this was more than our wildest dreams.

It’s no surprise that Taylor has added in the new album but as the Eras Tour was already incredibly long, some songs were left on the cutting room floor.

Taylor Swift performing on stage beneath a spaceship prop

The Archer, tis the damn season, and even the last great American dynasty were all brutally ripped from the setlist.

New glittering bodysuits and dresses were rolled out for every era except Reputation, which is the last in the album in the show to get its Taylor’s Version.

So far no vault track appears on her main setlist, only core album songs have a permanent place on the Eras Tour.

Swifties have been left in utter disbelief as Folklore and Evermore were combined into one era, known as the sisters era, to keep the time down.

Speak Now was reduced back down to one song — RIP Long Live — and debut remains reserved for surprise songs in the acoustic set.

Taylor Swift performing onstage in a bejewelled orange leotard

Let’s be honest Taylor could perform for six hours and fans would still want more but even she would probably find that exhausting.

After so much upheaval, let’s see what Taylor Swift’s setlist has been left looking like and what that means for the UK.

We’re still going strong opening with Lover but even her seventh studio album and big opener couldn’t survive Taylor’s great setlist war. We’ll miss you, The Archer.

  • Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince
  • Cruel Summer
  • You Need To Calm Down

Fearless Era

The album that made her a superstar remains unscathed but since there were only three songs for this era it’s hardly surprising.

However, a new tasselled bodysuit was revealed and it looks incredibly similar to one worn on the Our Song hitmaker’s original Fearless tour in 2009.

  • You Belong With Me

I’m never recovering from this pic.twitter.com/rNTY9smbVH — B R I T T A N Y 🤍 (@sobrittgoes) May 9, 2024

In a position switch up, the setlist now moved from Fearless into Red instead of Evermore but the songs remain unchanged and All Too Well remains firmly in pride of place.

  • We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
  • I Knew You Were Trouble
  • All Too Well (10 Minute Version)

Speak Now Era

Justice for Speak Now, already balding but now scalped as Long Live has been once more removed.

We’re begging Taylor, I will sacrifice I Knew You Were Trouble for just one more purple-painted dream.

Taylor Swift looking surprised speaking to a fan during The Era's tour

Reputation Era

Yet to have its Taylor’s Version released, Reputation remains unchanged on the mammoth set but has been moved to after Red and Speak Now rather than before.

It’s also the only section that has not had an outfit change, the day that red and black bodysuit goes we’re all going to lose our minds.

  • …Ready For It?
  • Don’t Blame Me
  • Look What You Made Me Do

Folklore/Evermore Era

Once separate totalling 12 songs, Taylor’s lockdown albums have been combined into one – with a lot of casualties.

‘We have reunited the sister albums,’ the singer told the Paris crowd, joking it could be called ‘everlore’ or ‘folkmore’.

Taylor Swift in a yellow dress performing at a piano covered in moss

Removed from the setlist are: Tis the damn season, the last great American dynasty, invisible string, and tolerate it.

  • Cardigan (folklore)
  • Betty (folklore)
  • Champagne Problems (evermore)
  • August (folklore)
  • Illicit Affairs (folklore)
  • My Tears Ricochet (folklore)
  • Marjorie (evermore)
  • Willow (evermore)

Mother’s favourite child remains safe and sound with no changes and still following the Folklore set. Honestly, we would have loved to see some of this swapped out for the vault tracks which stormed the charts last year.

Bad Blood remains on the setlist, we wonder if Kendrick Lamar is free to come do a surprise live feature…

  • Blank Space
  • Shake It Off
  • Wildest Dreams

The Tortured Poets Department

Initially, Swifties weren’t sure if this would be added and if so how could the 31 tracks possibly be whittled down into just a handful?

A new era brings blessings of brand new outfits, a floating stage set piece, gunshot choreography, and of course some insane vocal moments.

Taylor has spoken and these are (probably) her favourites off TTPD.

  • But Daddy I Love Him
  • So High School
  • Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me
  • The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  • I Can Do It with a Broken Heart

Surprise songs

Each night Taylor plays two surprise songs from her vast discography, these have included This Love and Clean from 1989 and Dear John and Last Kiss from Speak Now.

Also known as the acoustic set, Paris Night One fans were (obviously) treated to Paris from her album Midnights played on piano and loml on guitar from TTPD.

In this leg of the tour, Taylor has taken to singing some gut-wrenching mashups and announced she could sing whatever she wanted so any song is on the table.

There are some songs it’s likely she’ll reserve for London, such as London Boy and So Long, London but the rest as up for grabs.

Since the slate was wiped clean with this new leg, and Taylor’s penchant for singing You’re On Your Own Kid repeatedly, there’s no way to predict the Mastermind’s moves.

this might be the best midnights bodysuit yet pic.twitter.com/edqJw45yYC — Tayvis Nation 🏈🫶🏻 (@tayvisnation) May 9, 2024

Midnights Era

Closing out the show is the iconic era which gave us ‘Karma is the guy on the chiefs ’ and that chair choreography — Midnights.

Her 2022 album gets sparkling new outfits, although the Lavender Haze fluffy lilac jacket has not been swapped out.

  • Lavender Haze
  • Midnight Rain
  • Vigilante Shit

What is the old Eras Tour setlist?

With so many changes, here’s what Taylor’s Eras Tour used to look like for a setlist run

  • tis the damn season
  • champagne problems
  • tolerate it
  • invisible string
  • the last great american dynasty
  • illicit affairs
  • my tears ricochet

When is the Eras Tour in the UK?

The Eras Tour will come to the UK this month , beginning in Edinburgh for three nights before heading to Liverpool, Cardiff, and London .

Who knows what Taylor will have in store for fans given her love for keeping everyone on their toes.

Given the huge overhaul, this is likely to be the setlist for the UK gigs and all her European dates but might have minor tweaks thrown in.

Of course, if you’re sad your favourite track is not on there is always a chance it could be one of the surprise songs as she has no rules around what she can and can’t sing here.

We’re hoping for Picture to Burn, Suburban Legends, The Black Dog , or Hits Different but that tells you far too much about us.

What is Paramore's Eras Tour setlist?

The iconic pop punk band Paramore will be opening for Taylor Swift at the UK gigs and they revealed their setlist in Paris.

Of course, it is much shorter but still packed with hits from the chart-topping band, fronted by Taylor’s long time friend Hayley Williams.

16-Year-Old Taylor Swift Fan Who Was Gifted “22” Hat on Eras Tour Dies After Her Cancer Returns (Exclusive)

"Taylor’s music brought light to Ally’s life," says Patty Garner Anderson of her 16-year-old daughter, who died in November after living with cancer for 5 years

Patty Garner Anderson will always remember the smile on her daughter Ally's face at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour stop on July 1 in Cincinnati. Swift danced her way down the stage and handed Ally the famous fedora from her "22" costume.

"It changed my daughter's life immensely," Patty tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I hadn’t seen Ally smile and laugh like that in a very long time."

Ally, who had been living with cancer since 2018, posted a TikTok video from that night that shows her standing in a bathroom placing the hat on her head, then putting her hand over her mouth. "what happened," she captioned the video. She shared another video on TikTok from the moment Swift placed the hat on her head.

"no words to describe what it felt like to be pulled from my seats to the floor," she writes. "I knew immediately. taylor was my first concert so many years ago. honestly such a full circle moment."

Related: Taylor Swift Gifts '22' Hat to Dancer After Arlington Community Raises Over $1000 for His Floor Seat

Patty says she and Ally were original Swift fans. When Ally was 8 years old, her very first concert was the Taylor Swift 1989 World Tour in 2015.

But in September 2018, when she was 11, Ally's life changed. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma , a rare soft tissue cancer. Throughout her battle with cancer, Patty says Taylor’s music constantly "brought light to Ally’s life."

Like so many fans, "she knew every single word to every single song," says Patty, describing Ally as “kind, loving, fierce."

Her love for Swift's music was obvious. “Ally had her music playing when she was still able to shower, when she was organizing her room, when we drove anywhere. It truly is all she played.”

Ally even got a tattoo on her left forearm featuring lyrics from Swift's song, "The 1": "And if you never bleed, you're never gonna grow."

Through social media, Ally found connections with "Swiftie" friends who were also fighting childhood cancer. "It gave her an escape and a sense of belonging," Patty explains.

It's one reason that night in July was so special to her.

"We had the opportunity to meet Taylor’s mom Andrea at the concert," Patty says. "We couldn’t thank her enough for choosing Ally for the hat, but I hope one day I can meet Taylor and Andrea to express how much that night meant to Ally."

After five years of fighting cancer, Ally died on Nov. 13 at 16 years old.

Ally's mom sees the significance. "As you know Taylor Swift’s favorite number is 13. Ally passed away on 11/13/23 at 13:40. The 13th day during the 13th hour.”

Since Ally's death, her friends and family have taken to social media to share videos and words of love for Ally. Her friend Katie Histing writes on Facebook that Ally "loved Taylor Swift, cats, journalizing, music, cheerleading and so much more."

"She was special," Histing sontinued.

Another one of Ally's friends Ava , who also loved Swift, posted a tribute to her friend on TikTok. "soulmates aren't just lovers," the video reads. In October, Ava had posted a compilation of photos of the two of them on TikTok.

"best friend appreciation post. (cuz I have the best one,)" she captioned the post.

Every Time Taylor Swift Has Asked Security to Help Fans During ‘Eras Tour’

Every Time Taylor Swift Has Asked Security to Help Fans During Eras Tour

Taylor Swift ’s Eras Tour has taken the world by storm, and while the three-hour show is all about celebrating her discography, the singer’s No. 1 concern is the safety of her fans.

Swift has even paused her show multiple times during her world tour to alert security of struggling fans in the crowd in hopes of getting them assistance quickly. The Eras Tour has featured cutting-edge technology with its lighting designs and laser effects, and Swift has previously discussed how her performance isn’t the only thing that requires a lot of planning.

Before embarking on her Reputation tour in 2018, Swift said she was deeply impacted after 22 people were killed as a result of a bombing during Ariana Grande ’s concert in Manchester.

“I was completely terrified to go on tour this time because I didn’t know how we were going to keep 3 million fans safe over seven months,” Swift told Elle in 2019. “There was a tremendous amount of planning, expense, and effort put into keeping my fans safe. My fear of violence has continued into my personal life.”

The Eras Tour has been an even bigger endeavor for Swift. In December 2023, it was reported that an estimated 4.35 million tickets had been sold across her 60 concerts in North America, Argentina and Brazil before she embarked on the international leg of her tour.

Keeping fans safe is no small feat, and in addition to copious amounts of preliminary safety measures and a top-notch security team, Swift takes personal responsibility for her fans’ experience — even when she’s on stage.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Swift and her fans braved extreme heat during the string of shows in Brazil in November 2023. One concertgoer, Ana Clara Benevides , died of heat exhaustion before a Rio show.

Swift did her best to help fans, and during her performance, she repeatedly asked her off-stage team to provide water to the crowd.

“There’s people that need water right here, maybe 30, 35, 40 feet back,” she said on stage during the Evermore set, pointing to a floor section of the crowd. “So whoever is in charge of giving them that, just make sure that happens. Can I get a signal that you know where they are?”
