Perfect Musandam tour, saw a pod of dolphins feeding, then two of them swam alongside us for a good 5 mins or so. Friendly and helpful crew, plenty of soft drinks, fruit and lunch (curry) on board. Stopped for a swim at Telegraph Island, they had towels for us to use too.

Such a lovely and comfortable Musandam trip, even worked really well with a baby and we saw many many dolphins. The one downside I guess is that I thought the snorkeling bit would be better, the water had poor visibility. However, overall quite a nice tour and the dolphins alone made it well worth it.

The inaugural cruise for the Islander is scheduled for June 14 out of the Port of Tampa Bay.

Major Cruise Operators Slash Summer Prices Despite High Demand - Here's Why

Despite record demand and increased revenues, cruise prices for trips departing from the U.S. this summer are lower than last year, Reuters quotes from AAA data.

Royal Caribbean's seven-day itineraries in the Caribbean and Bermuda are down 21% year-over-year for June. Norwegian and Carnival cruises in the same region are down 12% and 11%, respectively, as per TripAdvisor's Cruise Critic.

Royal Caribbean is also reducing rates for Caribbean trips in the third and fourth quarters, according to Todd Elliott, CEO of Cruise Vacation Outlet. "It seems more strategic on sailings that need a little more help," Elliott told Reuters.

He added that cruises around Africa, instead of through the Red Sea, are also seeing price cuts.

An AAA spokesperson says older ships are being discounted as newer vessels enter the market. For instance, Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Sea, which debuted in January, commands $500 to $1,000 more per person than similar regional cruises.

Royal Caribbean raised its 2024 profit forecast in April for the second time , while Carnival reported record bookings in the first quarter of this year .

Similar price reductions are seen in Alaskan cruises this summer due to increased capacity. Carnival's Alaskan itineraries for July and August are priced about 20% lower than the same period in 2023, while Royal Caribbean's prices for the same months are 6% and 12% cheaper, respectively, Reuters quotes Cruise Critic.

Niko Price outworked an exhausted Alex Morono over three rounds to win a unanimous decision at UFC 302 .

While it wasn’t pretty, Price showed better conditioning and superior striking over 15 minutes to pick up a win on Saturday night. By the time the final horn sounded, Morono could barely keep his hands up as he just ran out of gas, with Price earning the victory 29-28 across all three judges’ scorecards.

An exchange on the feet led to a wild scramble on the ground with Morono locking on an omoplata and then transitioning to a crucifix position before Price eventually escaped. Back standing, both welterweights landed some heavy shots with Price and Morono unloading several huge, if sloppy, combinations.

As the second round started, Morono became busier on his feet and he landed several punches in succession, though nothing really connected with any real force as Price continued marching forward. Price later took the fight down to the ground where he maintained control while also launching a couple of elbow strikes that came crashing down on Morono’s head.

Even when Morono landed the cleaner strikes, Price came back at him with awkward punches that always seemed to find a home on the chin. Morono’s movement was also labored and at times it seemed like he was moving in slow motion when engaging in striking combinations with Price.

With time ticking away to the final horn, Morono looked exhausted, but Price was still careful not to overextend himself with his combinations. Price worked at a methodical pace and he connected with a stiff uppercut just before the fight came to a close.

While not a fight that’s going to end up on Price’s highlight reel, he still got the win — technically his second over Morono after a knockout in their first encounter back in 2017 was overturned to a no-contest due to Price failing a drug test for marijuana.
