• Ben's scooter was added to make traversing the land faster and easier while XLR8 is locked. A scooter was chosen as the mode of transport because Terry used to ride a scooter to work everyday. The founder of PHL Collective, Nick Madonna, was initially opposed to the idea but came around to it. [AC 1]
• Grey Matter was cut because his type of gameplay, where the player would shrink down and solve puzzles in small areas, didn't really work with the type of game they wanted to create.
• Cannonbolt would originally use ramps to traverse the area, a mechanic that would later be used for XLR8.
• This is the first Ben 10 video game to include two different ways to transform. One of them is a scroll wheel similar to the one seen in The Rise of Hex and the previous game , as well as the quick-switch directional pad system used in Cosmic Destruction , Ben 10: Omniverse and Ben 10: Omniverse 2 .
• In Protector of Earth , Ben had 5 aliens available and the other 5 were locked.

Ben tennyson is back in a family-friendly adventure, and this open-world romp has a lot to offer..

Ben 10: Power Trip puts players in the shoes of the titular hero Ben. He’s on a family vacation with his grandfather, but what should be a relaxing holiday for him quickly turns into a mission to save the world. You see, the evil Hex shows his ugly face, taking Ben’s aliens away from him and threatening to rain havoc down on the world. It’s up to Ben to get back his aliens, stop Hex, and help out around town while he’s at it.

For fans of the franchise or younger players looking for an introduction to the open world genre,  Ben 10: Power Trip  is surprisingly good. Its art style may be basic, but its blocky landscapes and simple backdrops serve their purpose more than adequately. Character models are charming, and the fact that most are voiced is a nice touch. The game’s world is surprisingly vast; completing the main campaign will take around six hours, but there’s a huge amount of extra content to engage with once you’re done.

From Outright Games, a publisher known for bringing licensed kids games to retail,  Ben 10: Power Trip  is one of the best games we’ve seen from the company yet. There’s a clear sense of progression to be found when making your way through the story, but if players would rather jump and zoom around the open world, that’s valid too. There are always coins to pick up and plenty of collectibles to be found for more eagle-eyed players.

Playing through the game’s campaign first pays dividends though, as players will unlock Ben 10’s range of alien sidekicks. Ben by himself isn’t particularly powerful, but his aliens each have their own unique abilities. The unironically named Four Arms, for example, has, uh, four arms, making him extra strong and able to break through concrete walls. Rath on the other hand can rock climb, and XLR8 can run superfast and ride on rails. Having a full arsenal allows you to access new areas of the map, and also makes combat more engaging.

Combat isn’t amazing in  Ben 10: Power Trip – there’s no way to lock on to an enemy, so the camera can get a bit unruly at times, especially when dealing with enemies who can only be attacked from the back. But it’s simple and fun enough that it’s never particularly tiresome. Each alien has a light attack and strong attack, which can be combined to perform a combo. They also have their own skill, making certain aliens more effective against particular types of enemies. Diamondhead can create an ice shield, for example, which means flying enemy projectiles are reflected back at them.

This is a game that knows its core audience well; clearly made for younger players, it’s easy to get to grips with, and missions are straightforward and simple tasks. Head to location X, collect item Y, or follow character Z. If you fail, there’s no punishment; you’re simply put back at the start of a mission to try again. The same is true in combat; if you lose your health in a fight, you’ll simply respawn.

Ben 10 ‘s world obviously doesn’t have the depth of, say, an Ubisoft open world epic, but it’s still rich with secrets and side missions. There are Lord Decibel’s concert levels for example; you’ll find doors in the world leading to a secret evil DJ’s lair, where you’ll have to complete a short platforming challenge. There’s an arena-based combat challenge, too, testing your fighting prowess as you fight your way through waves of enemies. But running through the world, you’re never too far from something to do, be it a group of enemies to thwart, a collectible to find or an NPC to help.

Ben 10: Power Trip is a game squarely aimed at a younger audience, so don’t expect to find a challenging and deep experience. In our opinion, though, it absolutely nails it as a kids game. It offers an engaging story mode packed with fun and varied missions, as well as a big open world that’s ripe for exploring. Throw into the mix the well-voiced familiar characters, the range of skills offered up by Ben’s aliens and the wealth of side content, and you’ve got an excellent entry point into the genre of open-world adventures.

17 Powerful Aliens In 'Ben 10' That We're Dying To Control

In the history of Cartoon Network , very few shows have become as legendary and beloved as Ben 10 .

There have been several iterations of the show - Ben 10 , Alien Force , Ultimate Alien , Omniverse , and a reboot - each with its own storyline. But they all have one thing in common: Ben Tennyson’s ability to transform into awesome aliens using the power of a special watch called an Omnitrix.

With these powers and unique alien abilities, Ben fights against several extraterrestrial threats. Some of Ben's alien transformations are more powerful than others, but each one is unique and usable in certain situations. And they're all pretty cool.

Although it ended years ago, interest in the series is still going strong and there's no better time than now to vote on which of Ben's alien transformations are the best!

First Appeared:  Ben 10: Ultimate Alien , Season 3, Episode 12

Description: Clockwork is an utterly bizarre alien in the Ben 10 repertoire. He looks just like a stout robot, with humanoid features. His head has the appearance of a tinker toy, but his abilities are no joke, as he has mastered control over time.

Special Abilities: Controlling time is Clockwork's bread and butter. Not only can he send others back in time, he can alter timelines, travel through time, and figure out precise timing of future events. If that weren't enough, he can slow time and survive in space.

First Appeared : Season 1, Episode 4

Description : The strange and magnificent Ghostfreak is a ghost-like alien. Based on DNA from an alien called an Ectonurite, Ghostfreak is powerful, sinister, and moves his eye all along his body (it's as creepy as it sounds). He can also fly and use an array of special abilities during combat. 

Special Abilities : Ghostfreak is a versatile alien who can become invisible, take possession over others, and fire energy blasts at his enemies. He can also use his tentacles to attack. When he's not using those abilities, he can use telepathy, telekinesis, or his scaring abilities to petrify even the toughest of foes. Ghostfreak can scare the pants off any assailants and make quick work of any fight.

Description : Upgrade is humanoid, sporting a white and green appearance (complete with circuit board pattern all along his body). He's a unique alien who can interact with and immediately upgrade any technology. 

Special Abilities : In addition to the ability to massively upgrade any piece of tech, Upgrade can also fire laser beams, change his body parts, and even become a fluid, similar to the liquid metal of a T-1000. Upgrade is one of the best aliens to take into a battle, especially if there happens to be a lot of technology lying around.

First Appeared : Season 1, Episode 1

Description : Heatblast looks like a cross between a lava beast and a stone golem (or charcoal). He has flames emanating from his head and uses the power of pyrokinesis (fire manipulation) in every battle.

Special Abilities : Heatblast is like the Superman of aliens. He can fly, he's durable, and he's fast. Better yet, his pyro kinesis gives him an edge in battle with the ability to not only manipulate flames but also create different things from them. He can also absorb fire, amplify any flame, and shoot fireballs.

First Appeared : Season 1, Episode 2

Description : As his name implies, Four Arms is a four-armed, muscular human-like alien. Except he's red and has four eyes-with plenty of strength-and durability-to go around.

Special Abilities : Four Arms isn't just brawny and nearly invulnerable. He can also generate shock waves, cause pillars to erupt by punching the earth, and take advantage of incredible reflexes/acrobatics to win any fight.

Diamondhead

Description : Diamondhead is a muscular, human-sized alien made entirely out of rock and gemstones. As such, he can manipulate these crystals to his advantage in combat.

Special Abilities : Diamondhead’s main special ability is unique in that he can grow and shoot crystals from his body. He can also absorb/refract energy, extend/enlarge his arms, and create a crystal sword from his arm. And that's on top of superhuman speed, strength, and endurance!

First Appeared:  Ben 10: Alien Force , Season 1, Episode 1

Description: Swampfire is one weird looking guy. He's green, covered in muck, and has petals on his shoulders. As a plant-based alien, he can harness his powers to make any plant life do amazing things. 

Special Abilities:  Like many of Ben's aliens, Swampfire is strong and durable. He can also shoot seeds and fireballs at his foes. But Swampfire’s most useful power is the ability to reattach his limbs if he loses them during a fight.

First Appeared:  Ben 10: Omniverse , Season 1, Episode 1

Description: Feedback is a slick, streamlined alien with one big green eye, long tendrils protruding from his head, and batteries on the fingers of each hand. Feedback is all about channeling and manipulating energy to fight his battles.

Special Abilities: Feedback can absorb and use any energy in unique ways. He can generate electrical charges, fireballs, and projectiles on a whim. And if that doesn't make him the best alien to use in any situation, his super speed and agility will.  

Humungousaur

First Appeared : Ben 10: Alien Force Season 1, Episode 2

Description : Humongosaur is a dinosaur/human hybrid alien that stands incredibly tall (12 ft). With great strength, fitness, and a terrifying visage, he strikes fear into the heart of any alien looking for a fight. 

Special Abilities : On top of his strength and size, Humongosaur can use his tail as a weapon. He's also highly resistant to cold and wind. And if that weren't enough, his roar is powerful and he can alter his size as needed to get himself out of a jam.

First Appeared:  Ben 10: Alien Force Season 1, Episode 4 

Description:  Big Chill’s appearance is like a blend between a moth/butterfly and a human-except he's dark blue. In some versions, he's taller and more slender. In others, he's a bit bulkier. Using his powers of flight, ice manipulation, and strength, he's a force to be reckoned with. 

Special Abilities: With the power to breathe icy breath, shoot ice beams, and manipulate ice, Big Chill is a powerful ally. On top of that, he phases through objects and resists extreme temperatures. Oh, and did we mention he can fly? That makes him one of the strongest aliens in Ben's Omnitrix.

First Appeared:  Season 1, Episode 1

Description:  Wildmutt is a faceless (except for the jaws) wolf alien who packs a mean attack. Sharp teeth and extrasensory perception guide him through trouble when fighting alien forces.

Special Abilities:  Wildmutt can walk more like an ape and has prehensile limbs, making it easier to climb things. When combined with his strength, agility, jumping ability, and durability, it makes him a powerful ally to Ben Tennyson on any occasion.

First Appeared:  Ben 10: Alien Force , Season 1, Episode 13

Description: A black and white humanoid based on celestial DNA, Alien X is a strange being. He's like the personification of the galaxy itself – with some powerful abilities to match.

Special Abilities:  Alien X is a tour de force with the ability to alter reality itself. He's basically invulnerable and can shapeshift at will. Along with regeneration, levitation, and high-speed flight, Alien X is the most powerful alien in Ben 10's Omnitrix arsenal.

First Appeared:  Season 1, Episode 1 

Description:  XLR8 is another of Ben's dinosaur aliens. In this case, he looks more like a slender velociraptor. On his feet are black orbs that resemble wheels and he has sharp claws, enabling him to take advantage of super strength and speed, like a dinosaur version of the Flash. 

Special Abilities:  XLR8’s name sounds like “accelerate,” and that's exactly what he does. In addition to speed and reflexes, he can generate a vortex, cut through anything with his claws, and handle most problems with his supersonic kicks.

First Appeared:   Ben 10: Omniverse , Season 4, Episode 9

Description: Atomix is less alien and more robotic in nature. His white robot body is brawny with green gauntlets (full of swirling liquid) on his arms. His face and helmet have the same exact liquid. As a robotic creature, he possesses great (but dangerous) power.

Special Abilities: Atomix's special ability is right there in the name: atomic energy. Wielding atomic energy with his hands, Atomix can generate nuclear blasts and melt objects. His blasts are nothing to sneeze at, being powerful enough to wipe out just about any type of lifeform. Oh, and he can also fly.

First Appeared:  Ben 10: Alien Force , Season 2, Episode 13

Description:  Rath is a massive, muscular human-like tiger alien. He has claws coming out of each hand and uses his strength in conjunction with anger to fight anything that moves. 

Special Abilities:  Rath’s combination of strength and wrestling's prowess is like mixing The Hulk with The Rock. Each move is a signature, painful melee attack that sends opponents running the opposite way.

Ben Wolf/Blitzwolfer

First Appeared:  Season 3, Episode 5

Description: Ben Wolf (later known as Blitzwolfer) is what happens when Ben 10 meets The Wolfman . As a humanoid wolf, he's strong, agile, and able to meet most battles with a certain scary flair. 

Special Abilities: Ben Wolf/Blitzwolfer is more than meets the eye. He can definitely hold his own as strong, swift werewolf. But he also has the power to emit an ultrasonic howl capable of neutralizing most attacks. And as a werewolf, he can smell or track anything, making him a powerful ally in a variety of situations.

First Appeared:  Season 4, Episode 1

Description: Way Big is white, with red fin-like appendages and two pairs of green eyes. He's also massive. Being the largest alien in Ben's Omnitrix has its advantages and Way Big can use his size and strength to his advantage in any fight. 

Special Abilities: Size isn't Way Big's only special power (although he can throw things into orbit). He has a strong ray he can shoot from his arms when needed. Along with that, he can jump high and stand up to anything most aliens throw his way.
