New Love’s Travel Stops established in Nevada

Professional drivers will be able to access a combined 95 truck parking spaces in the cities of Opelousas and Jackpot.

Love’s has opened two new Travel Stops in Opelousas, Louisiana, and Jackpot, Nevada. The first one, a 17,000 square feet location adds 100 jobs and 64 truck parking spaces to St. Landry Parish while the second one adds 45 jobs and 31 truck parking spaces to Elko County across its 9,000 square feet.

The sites offer branded snacks, bean-to-cup gourmet coffee, Mobile to Go Zone stores, CAT scales and laundry facilities. The Opelousas stop has a Hardee’s and a Godfather’s Pizza restaurants and a Speedco location set to be opened on September 18th, while the Jackpot center offers a Subway restaurant.

“We’re excited to open our 12th Love’s location in Louisiana and seventh in Nevada. By continuing to grow in areas where our customers need fast, friendly service that gets them back on the road quickly, we’re expanding our Highway Hospitality to even more professional drivers, travelers and locals,” said Shane Wharton, President of Love’s.

To commemorate the grand openings, the company will donate $2,000 each to the Park Vista Elementary School in Opelousas, Louisiana, and Jackpot’s Helping Hands in Jackpot, Nevada.

Great place to stop on long drives! Clean restrooms, showers, plenty of food & beverage options, and everything else you might want. Dogs are allowed inside. A small casino is attached, if you feel lucky. The staff is super friendly. The ready-to-eat food is good and there are healthful options including salads, fresh fruits, veggies and hummus. Also the junk food necessary to power your trip!

0 Stars if possible. Rarely leave a bad review, but ding ding we got a winner. Came in because my a trailer tandem tire needed replacement and made sure to follow protocol. Checked in, told to wait for ok from company and did so. Then me and my co-driver see some random dude pull into their makeshift bay (their shop is currently under construction) and he isn't told to leave but gets helped instead. Going about almost 4 hours and just now getting the tire looked at. Ridiculously bad service. Was told some BS by the repair shop guy (that part of the shop is open and standing during contruction) about some problem with their system. Mind you we were parked and saw for well over 3 hours (5 guys stand around not doing anything) just twiddling their thumbs wasting time. One guy was working and when I went to ask him what the eta or delay was and mentioned my company he just laughed like oh we took someone else before you. One guy finally came up 15 minutes before 6pm. Saying someone wrote us up but didn't put in the work order for approval that was at 2 pm or so. Whoever is in charge you need to fire whoever runs your shop and all those employees who took what I'm sure you can agree is a warranted 3 hour break just lollygagging.

Most of the Love's are pretty good, particularly in snack selection. In fact, that may be the best thing about them. This one was a touch on the light side, as far as that goes, though not for trying. It was somewhat cramped inside, bathroom also under construction, part of the lot under construction. It's probably a bit unfair to be too harsh when they're in transition, so I'll just leave it at this place was fine for what it was, but once the dust is settled, I'd expect this rating to go up and hopefully there will be more space to navigate as some of the other locations.

I love stop at their places. I'm a healthy person and will never find anything at 7 eleven or any liquor stores to get anything to eat. I drive though here few times a year and have an RV. So this is the place to stop for everything. Love to see their bathroom so clean and people are so friendly. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I have found most Love's Travel Stops to be clean, well stocked, and staffed by friendly employees. This is no exception. The topper for Love's is the dog parks. We especially love Love's for this reason!

Our infamous Love's....... Last time it was the "Darla" incident - this time the "bathroom" incident..... hopefully we're only banned for life from only this Love's.... FYI - There's a brothel a block away...

This is pretty average for a Love's... it is cleaner than other truck stops in the area, but there isn't really anything outstanding that I could say compared to any other Love's.

Well I had my oil changed in Reno and come to find out they didn't tighten my oil pan protector on my Honda civic. Which entailed letting out this high pitched squealing sound as apparently it was skidding down the highway. My mom and I had to immediately pull over on the highway. I told her I had received and oil change at the Castrol in Reno on Longley Street. At first I thought maybe they forgot to replace the oil from the oil change they were supposed to do. But apparently they just decided to hand tighten if that the oil pan protector. We had to drive in the right hand shoulder going slow I was afraid it was going to catch fire or blow off leaving the debris in the road for someone else to hit. My mom called this Petro station and they immediately got a sin and were able to zip tie it in place so we can get back to Reno. Absolutely awesome people I would highly recommend them!

For travelers its a convenient stop right off the freeway. Take a rest , get gas, food (many options) and when your ready to go you get in your car and jump right back onto the freeway. Very convenient .

At first I didnt like Loves due to a bad experience in Pennsylvania, but this Loves more than made up for it. Got personal help from the manager when we had a problem. Please support this helpful and honest truck stop!
