The Global Champions Playoffs will again be staged in the magical Czech capital Prague, one of the world's most beautiful cities and a UNESCO World Heritage site, promising another week of unforgettable excitement for millions of equestrian fans worldwide.

Prague, known as "the City of a hundred spires", will stage the GC Playoffs over four days at the O2 arena with top-level sport and great entertainment for approximately 14,000 spectators. The event will take place in the run up to Christmas when the fairytale city will have a special festive atmosphere where visitors can enjoy the contrast of Prague's historic Baroque architecture and the famous Castle and the cool modern neighbourhoods and art and design zones.

The O2 arena is one of the leading facilities in Europe with a capacity of up to 20,000. Every year, the O2 arena hosts dozens of attractive sporting and cultural events. It was opened in 2004 for the IIHF World Ice Hockey Championship. O2 has hosted number of significant sporting events including 2015 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championship, Davis Cup and Fed Cup finals, tennis Laver Cup with Roger Federer. Longines Global Champions Tour 2023 Round 3: Mexico City

Round three of the Longines Global Champions Tour for 2023 sees the incredible Mexico City play host to the world's top show jumping horse and  rider combinations, following just one week after the Longines Global Champions Tour of Miami Beach.  

A vibrant and culturally rich metropolis that offers visitors a unique blend of tradition and modernity, Mexico City is a wealth of incredible architecture, historical sites, entertainment and delicious cuisine. 

2022 saw a relentless week of top sport, as the best of the best horse and rider combinations left it all on the line to claim coveted podium positions. 

One of the standout events was the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Mexico City, which saw a relentless, up-to-height track curved around this vast grass arena. Taking the win in front of a sell-out crowd was none other than Ludger Beerbaum aboard his impressive Mila. Longines global champions tour of stockholm 2024.

From the 28 th to the 30 th of June, the Longines Global Champions Tour descends on the Swedish capital city of Stockholm for the fifth edition of this event. As the only Scandinavian leg in the calendar, the LGCT in Stockholm is always a popular event for both spectators and riders. The Soccer Champions Tour will return in 2024, with five European powers set to tour the United States during preseason.

The Soccer Champions Tour debuted in 2023, and will return this summer with six games featuring five clubs: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, AC Milan, and Manchester City.

The marquee event of the Soccer Champions Tour will be a preseason El Clásico featuring Real Madrid and Barcelona, with this year’s edition taking place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

American fans will also get the chance to see AC Milan star Christian Pulisic face Madrid and Barcelona in Chicago and Baltimore, respectively, as well as Manchester City in New York.

After a difficult test at the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally that saw Yuka Saso capture her second USWO title, the LPGA Tour’s best are in Galloway, N.J., for the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer this week. Nine past champions are in the field, including 41-time LPGA Tour winner Karrie Webb, U.S. Solheim Cup Captain Stacy Lewis, 2022 winner Brooke Henderson and defending champion Ashleigh Buhai. Twenty-two of the 26 total 2024 LPGA Tour rookies will also tee it up, the most notable of whom are Epson Tour graduates Isabella Fierro, Minji Kang and Auston Kim, as well as Ladies European Tour winner Alexandra Forsterling. A $1.75 million purse is up for grabs at Seaview, as are 500 valuable points in the Race to the CME Globe, which are becoming ever more critical as the season rolls along.

The countdown is on to the 2023 Longines Global Champions Tour & GCL season as the full calendar is revealed today.

With an extraordinary 2022 season wrapping up with the Prague Playoffs just a few short weeks ago, all eyes now turn to the buzzing 16 event 2023 season. With a brand new destination added to the thrilling mix of returning fan favourites, the excitement for the new season builds as the world’s most dynamic show jumping series launches huge new projects and innovations to keep the sport pushing forward in all areas including a significant increase in prize money.

The 2023 season will see the individual LGCT series and the GCL team championship race span continents from the Middle East to The Americas, to Asia and into the heart of Europe, cementing the circuit’s powerful global footprint.

The opening leg in 2023 will take place in just over three months, from 2 – 4 March at the stunning AL SHAQAB in Qatar’s capital, Doha, where for the first time ever both GCL team rounds will be held on the same day. Stay tuned for the full reveal of the brand new LGCT & GCL weekend class format which is to be released soon.

The high-profile first event of the 2023 calendar, held at the world-class equestrian facility will ensure a dramatic kick-off to the new LGCT and GCL season. From the Middle East, the Tour heads straight to the Americas followed by a fantastic five months across Europe touching down in dynamic capital cities, beautiful Riviera destinations and Riesenbeck International will make an exciting debut on the tour before the grand finale in Riyadh.

Shanghai, China will not be part of the 2023 calendar but everyone is looking forward to its return to the series in 2024.

The race to the season championship will take horses, riders and spectators around the globe to 16 major cities and key locations. Riders will be battling to secure their golden ticket all season for a coveted spot in the ultimate individual showdown, the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix at the GC Prague Playoffs. And motivation will be high among team owners, managers and riders to deliver maximum performance to put them in a strong position for the high-pressure knockout stages of the GCL Super Cup at the O2 Arena in Prague for the final event of the calendar.

Millions of fans followed the LGCT and GCL season throughout 2022 as sporting excellence reached new levels, with the world’s best riders and horses guaranteed at every event. Fans watched live at the venues or on GCTV live streaming and TV, as well as following all the excitement on social media. The series will aim to expand its audience further during 2023 focusing on digital and broadcast coverage around the world.

This year marked an important milestone for Longines as it extended its long-term partnership with the Longines Global Champions Tour to 2027, underscoring the success of this collaboration and the growing popularity of the equestrian sport. As Title Partner and Official Timekeeper, Longines will once again have a strong presence throughout the 2023 season and they will present elegant timepieces to recognise the great performances of every Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix and Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix winner.

Where will euro 2024 be held  .

Germany will host EURO 2024, having been chosen to stage the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship at a UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Nyon on 27 September 2018. Türkiye was the only other nation that bid to hold UEFA EURO 2024. West Germany hosted the 1988 edition, but this will be the first time Germany has staged the UEFA European Championship since reunification. The 2006 FIFA World Cup also took place in the country.

When is EURO 2024?

The UEFA EURO 2024 final tournament is scheduled to take place from 14 June to 14 July 2024. The group stage runs until 26 June, with the knockout stage beginning on 29 June.

As the host nation, Germany are seeded in Group A and will occupy position A1; they will therefore play in the opening match – against Scotland – at the Munich Football Arena on Friday 14 June. Germany/West Germany have featured at every EURO since 1972. West Germany won the 1972 and 1980 editions, while the reunited Germany triumphed at EURO '96 .

Who has qualified for EURO?

The draw for the final tournament was held in Hamburg on Saturday 2 December.

The format will be the same as for UEFA EURO 2020 . The top two in each of the six final tournament groups will proceed to the round of 16 along with the four best third-placed finishers.

Where and when will the final of UEFA EURO 2024 be played?

Berlin's Olympiastadion will stage the final on Sunday 14 July 2024.

What are the EURO 2024 host cities?

The ten venues chosen to host games at the tournament include nine of the stadiums used at the 2006 World Cup plus the Düsseldorf Arena.

The official tournament mascot is named Albärt following a vote conducted among UEFA.com users and schoolchildren across Europe, through the UEFA Football in Schools programme. Albärt, a teddy bear, won 32% of the vote. The ursine mascot was first introduced to Germany fans in Gelsenkirchen in June 2023, ahead of the national team's friendly game against Colombia.

Is there a EURO 2024 volunteer programme?

The volunteer team is complete! Over 146,000 football enthusiasts submitted their applications to become a volunteer at EURO 2024, with 16,000 volunteers from 124 nations subsequently selected.

Being a volunteer is a one-of-a-kind adventure: a hands-on job that encompasses everything from interacting with fans to driving trucks and assisting with accreditations. The volunteers will represent Germany in the ten host cities and stadiums during the event, welcoming guests from all over the world, as well as playing a central role in making the tournament a EURO for all, bringing to life the motto 'United by football. Vereint im Herzen Europas.'

Is there an official EURO 2024 song?

FIRE – from Italian producers Meduza, American pop-rock trailblazers OneRepublic and German singer-songwriter Leony – has been released on all streaming platforms. The song, written by Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic and produced by MEDUZA, merges the Italian group's much-loved anthemic house production, OneRepublic's compelling soundscapes and Leony's pop expertise into a track that embodies the fervour and spirit of football and music fans alike.
