Epik High announce North America and Asia dates for 2024 ‘The Pump’ tour

Featuring concerts in Canada, the US, Malaysia and more

K-hip-hop trio Epik High have announced their upcoming 2024 ‘The Pump’ tour, featuring concerts in North America and Asia.

Epik High will return to North America later this year for a massive 23-date tour of the region, which will feature two Canadian concerts and 21 performances in the US across August and September 2024.

The K-hip-hop trio will kick things off at the Orpheum in Vancouver on August 22. The same month, the group will also play shows in the US states of Washington, Oregon and Neveda, as well as three concerts across California.

In September, Epik High will bring their tour to Central US states and the East Coast. The group will play multiple shows in Texas and Florida, as well as one-night-only performances in states like Illinois, Michigan, New York and more.

Prior to the North American leg, the hip-hop trio will also play show in Asia. That leg currently features concerts in Macau, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur from June to August, with more cities set to be announced soon.

Tickets to Epik High’s 2024 ‘The Pump’ North America tour will go on sale May 31 at 10am local time, with most dates available via Ticketmaster . For more information, head to the official Epik High website .

Before there was BTS or BigBang, there was Epik High,” Vanity Fair proclaimed. “Ask anyone who’s been listening to K-pop and chances are they’d know Epik High because the pioneering Korean hip-hop trio has had a profound and far-reaching influence on Korean popular music.” A legacy act in the making, Epik High is Tablo, Mithra Jin and DJ Tukutz. With 20 years and 10 full-length albums to their name, the group are widely credited for uplifting Korea’s nascent hip-hop scene and paving the way for a generation of artists after them. Formed in 2001, Epik High’s initial climb was arduous and while their debut album, Map of the Human Soul , released in 2003, is now prolifically recognized, their sound was not immediately understood. “Their music was different, with an experimental mix of genres, poetic lyrics skillfully weaving English and Korean, punchlines abounding with homonyms, and dense rhymes,” Associated Press said. “The band has a knack for making songs about touchy subjects in South Korea, from its white-collar work culture, overly competitive educational system to religion.” All of their records, including Tablo’s solo album Fever’s End , have charted #1 on the Korean, Canadian, and U.S. iTunes hip-hop charts simultaneously.

 For their 10th album, which was split into two projects, Epik High Is Here 上 (Part 1) in 2021 and Epik High Is Here 下 (Part 2) in 2022, Epik High delivered their most personal body of work to date. Both parts accumulated hundreds of millions of streams and received outstanding press, including Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, Washington Post, Billboard, Elle, Seventeen and San Francisco Chronicle . Part 2 was named by GQ one of the best albums of 2022, while “Rosario,” featuring CL and Zico, was named one of the best K-Pop songs of 2021 by The Ringer , Teen Vogue and NME . Epik High, who is known for uplifting Korea’’s burgeoning music scene by bridging industry stalwarts with newcomers, have collaborated with RM of BTS, IU, CL, Taeyang, Jay Park, Younha, Crush, Bobby, B.I, Simon Dominic, MINO, pH-1, OHHYUK, Woo, Lee Hi, Wonstein, Colde, to name a few. Their recent accolades include the group’s return to Coachella in 2022 after being the first Korean act to perform at the festival in 2016 and their 2022 headlining North American tour. 2023 marked another triumphant run for Epik High, who began the year with the refreshed sounds of their Strawberry EP, which included features from Hwa Sa and Jackson Wang, and earned critical praise from Rolling Stone and Billboard . Epik High also spent much of the year on the road, bringing their “All Time High” tour to Europe, North America, Asia and Latin America. Throughout the year, they headlined more than 40 concerts before closing out the year with the November release of “Screen Time” in collaboration with Hoshi of SEVENTEEN, and their run of three sold-out stadium shows at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul for their 20th anniversary celebration.

Epik High announces North America tour

Epik High has just revealed the cities and dates for their upcoming tour of North America, set to take place in August and September. Tickets for the tour go on sale on May 31.

Epik High is a 3-member group that debuted in 2001 and are now known for their lyrically complex music. Some of their most popular songs include ‘ Rosario (Feat. CL, ZICO) ’ and ‘ HOME IS FAR AWAY .’ Epik High most recently released their EP ‘ Strawberry ’ in 2023, featuring collabs with artists like Jackson Wang and HWASA .

They are planning to release their new album ' PUMP ' on June 20.

Epik High Announces Dates And Cities For Europe And North America Tour "ALL TIME HIGH"

Epik High is headed back to Europe and North America!

On December 6, Epik High made an announcement for their upcoming “ALL TIME HIGH” tour which will take them all over Europe and North America.

The tour begins on February 6, 2023 in Manchester, United Kingdom and will stop throughout the month in Brussels, Copenhagen, London, Munich, and Frankfurt before a surprise secret show. In late February, Epik High will begin touring the United States, starting in San Diego and stopping in 24 additional American cities. The tour will visit Canada for shows in Montreal and Toronto in late March, and one in Vancouver on April 4. Their North American leg will close out on April 14 with a show in Las Vegas.

The show itself was amazing, just what you would expect from the Masters of Epik High - energy, funny at the breaks, a lot of jumping while listening to the greatness that Epik High's music and lyrical content presents.

The setlist included new songs, as well as some ultimate classics - 'One' and 'Fan' were great surprise for me personally. It was amazing hearing one of my favorite songs from the genius trio.

I personally hope that next year they'll come back to Europe. Me and my friends travelled from Bulgaria for the concert and we hope next year they can come back to whatever city in Europe - we'll be there.

The only problem was that there was no merchandise. I was hoping to purchase the new album without the absurd shipping costs from Korea to Europe...

I hope next time they will bring merchandise to the concerts... Until then international fans have to pay double the price to get a physical copy.

Lit as expected! They really know how to entertain the public and since Tablo speak English because he's been living in US for quite a long time, he can act like a translator, be playful with the other members, etc.

They seem really close and down to earth.

The second stage was pretty far so even though we could see everything, I'd have love to be closer.

Seems like there were not as much space as needed, some people was staying in the stairs and a security guy was pretty annoying going here and there.

It was absolutely awesome, cool, incredible!! One of the best concerts i've been to. The setlist was fire, the crowd was fire and epik high did a great job with hyping everyone up!

Definitley go if you have a chance, i'm hoping that they will come to Berlin again in the future!

The show was really good and fun! You can tell with how much passion they make their music through their awesome performance! Interaction with the fans was great and I really hope to see them more often in Amsterdam, I will definitely listen to your music even more!

Epik High to release album 'Pump' on June 20

E pik High revealed the schedule for ″Epik High The Pump Tour N. America 2024″ on its official social media account on Wednesday. [OURS CO]

Hip-hop trio Epik High will release its new album, "Pump," on June 20.

"Pump" is set to be Epik High's first music release in about seven months since its single, "Screen Time," was released in November last year. Epik High released a pre-announcement video on social media on Tuesday, along with a mostly obscured tracklist. 

The band also revealed plans on Wednesday to begin its North American tour on Aug. 22. Epik High revealed the schedule for "Epik High The Pump Tour N. America 2024" on social media the same day.

The trio will start their tour, "Epik High The Pump Tour N. America 2024," with a concert in Vancouver, Canada on Aug. 22. It will travel through 23 North American cities until Sept. 25, including Seattle, LA, Dallas, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Atlanta and Tampa, Florida.

This is the trio’s first tour in about a year and four months since its 2023 European & North American Tour, "All Time High," which concluded in April last year.  

Epik High held an encore concert for the trio's 20th anniversary at Inspire Arena in Incheon on March 16. The group performed in the "2024 Daegu Hip-Hop Festival" on May 5 and announced its participation in the "Tone & Music Festival 2024" on June 16, which will be held at Olympic Park in Songpa District, southern Seoul.

Fans who missed seeing Epik High last year will get another chance this June as the three-piece hip-hop group returns to the Macau stage for another concert. Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz will be kicking off this Asia tour with Macau before moving on to Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, and other cities that have yet to be announced. Tickets range from MOP $788 to $1,588, and will go on sale on June 7. All attendees can join the ‘Hi Bye’ session and will receive a photo card and official poster, while VIP ticket holders will additionally get a chance for a group photo, signed polaroid, and signed poster.

Congratulations on launching “Afterglow” alongside your global ambassadorship with Versace! Tell us more about it and how you started creating the track?

“Afterglow” is a brand-new single I produced in collaboration with Versace. I approached this song from what I learned in fashion culture — this piece truly reflects my journey as a musician and performing artist. Over the last two years, I have explored and experimented with many different genres, blending old-school with new-school elements, and incorporating my personal taste into modern music. “Afterglow” is born from all this process.

You’re known for being involved in composing your songs. In what ways did you get creatively involved with “Afterglow”?

What does “Afterglow” represent for your music career?

Starting from “Afterglow,” we will hear a brand-new KUN sound. We’re starting a new chapter in music, and looking to release more songs in both Chinese and English.

Will “Afterglow” have its own music video too?

Many fans might remember our previous Art Lab live concert. Here’s some exclusive news for my Billboard friends: Art Lab 2.0 is coming soon, including a live performance of “Afterglow.”

How does fashion influence your life day to day?

Fashion always inspires me in the creative process of songwriting. I love vintage clothing just like how I love listening to classic songs, as well as cowboy hats and rough jeans when writing rock songs. Fashion design is a tedious process that involves constant fine-tuning until the final product is developed. That process provokes or intrigues; it has no creative boundary. Very much like when making music, there are endless possibilities.

I read that your Versace news went viral in China with 400 million views on Weibo in under a week and a No. 1 search topic for hours. Were you expecting such an exciting response?

I was in a song camp at that [time]. It was around 3 a.m. so I was actually in bed when my team woke me up and told me the good news. I appreciate everything my fans do for me and we support each other all the way.

You visited the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. on your KUN ONE Tour in 2019. Are there any plans for more overseas shows?

What else can we expect from you in 2024?

2024 has been my first step into building a label and company that represents the art I love so much. I’ve been aiming at creating and releasing a few global music projects from my label this year and thinking about a global tour, so I’m pushing myself to hit these deadlines. I’ve never released an official global album, and I’m putting in the work to make that a reality. The music is the focus though, so if I don’t feel it’s ready, I may wait until early 2025. I’m enjoying the process of it all.

Any other goals for this year?

Goals… meet my deadlines. [Laughs] And if I meet those deadlines, the next goal is a real one: to make sure the people who listen to the music and experience it live can feel the same way I did when I was creating it. If they tell me that they felt something, I hit my goals for 2024.

Anything else to share with readers or international fans at this time?

I’d love to work with artists from around the world. Collaboration with artists of different cultures is what I love about art, music, and fashion, so for international listeners, message me with ideas, and also message me with cities that you think would want to experience my new projects.
