The whole trip was well organised, and pleasantly executed. As with most Qatar Airways flights the staff were particularly attentive and supportive. The Q Suite was the "icing on the cake".

Entertainment on all 4 business class seats were terrible audio and could barley hear. The 11 hour layover in Riyadh was a nightmare and no one told us that nightmare matter what we do or what we were willing to pay there were no places to rest or sleep and nine of the lounges allow you to enter them no matter what unless you are 4 hours or less from flight time. With a 78 yearold mother with me this is ridiculous. The employees of the airline in Riyadh and of the lounge treated us like servants or lower class people. Never again

Unfortunately old plane so no plugs the entertainment is limited the inflight internet is very expensive 20$ per hour for 50mb on a 17h you will take 2 times to contact your family and work. Indigo attempts to make you pay for a seat during check in. I opted to not do this. The result - they allotted me and my minor son seats apart. In the interest of making maximum money, they seem to have lost common sense too. Similarly, even during the flight, the crew are busy trying to serve food to those who’ve already paid for it. By the time they’re done, it’s time to land and no one else is able to get anything. Sadly this seems to be what makes them profitable, customers just need to bear with it till a better airline comes along.

I did not like the communication gap existing amongst the staff and the customer. My flight to Nagpur was delayed by two and half hours but it was informed to me on email ( not by W.A. or SMS) when I have already left my home in Baner area. I was painfully detained at airport with luggage when the gate no. 10 was changed to 5. I'll never recommend your flight to anybody.

The flight was delayed for 2 reasons. 1) Weather - due to which it incoming aircraft was diverted to Ahmdabad. 2) technical issue which took 5 hrs to solve at Ahmedabad. Again, once we landed in Jaipur (wrong city), there was little to no information on timing or what was happening. Then we heard that the crew was reaching their 24 hours. We sat on the place, on the tarmac for another 3 HOURS, with no food and not enough water for everyone on the flight. Then, they kicked us off the plane with no plan, in the wrong city. We went thru customs, got our bags (thank goodness), and had to ask a bunch of staff what was happening and what to do. Eventually, their soltuion was to bus people back to Delhi (like 6 hours we were told) but not everyone would fit on the bus, and unknown timing on when it would leave. At this point it was 9PM (we were scheduled to arrive in Delhi at 11AM...). My husband and I decided to risk it and take a cab that we had to pay ourselves (about $200 US dollars) to get to Delhi (about 5 hour drive). We both had terrible trips back to the US as well - almost missed connecting flight, forced to pay for carry-on luggage (a small back pack!) and duty-free goods by the Air India staff last minute. Just terrible experience all around. Never again with AI! The ONLY good thing was the air hostesses were kind and patient - example: they made sure people with food allergies got their correct. However, the TV's did not work so I'm glad we brought our own entertainment.

Need to update the staff of the airport. They tell luggage weight according to they want.

The Air India lounge in Delhi , was very disappointing! The food was of poor quality and options were limited especially for vegetarians!! Beverages were fine. The in flight crew was excellent! . They helped me with my seat controls - the controls did not work without a hassle or assistance!! A very poor showing for a Business cabin!!! Post flight , the wheel chair passengers ( including Me) were “ shepherded and left waiting twice (an hour or more) before taking us to immigration! I chose to Fly Air India because I want. to patronize our National carrier with the hope that the experience will improve!!! Regrettably, I will have to look at other options for my next trip to India

Indian Haj pilgrims travel from Jeddah to Makkah in high-speed train for first time

Indian ambassador suhel ajaz khan said this is not only a first for indian pilgrims but also an inaugural experience for saudi authorities in transporting hajis by train directly from jeddah airport to makkah.

The Indian pilgrims performing the Haj this year will be able to travel from Jeddah airport to Makkah in high-speed trains for the first time, ensuring a more comfortable journey and cutting the travel time by half.

Traditionally, all Indian pilgrims performing Haj have travelled from Jeddah airport to Makkah in buses provided by Saudi authorities. Special arrangements were made this year by the Indian consulate general in Jeddah and Saudi authorities for some Indian pilgrims to travel in the high-speed Harmain Train. The highest speed achieved by the train is about 300 kmph.

About 32,000 Indian pilgrims will be able to use this exclusive service, the Indian embassy said in a statement. “This will make their journey very comfortable and will reduce the travel time from Jeddah to Makkah by half,” the statement said.

“In a historic first, #IndianHajPilgrims, who arrived at the Jeddah airport today, travelled to Mecca by high-speed Haramain Train instead of buses,” the Indian embassy said in a post on X on Sunday.

The first group of pilgrims to travel in the train were escorted by Indian ambassador Suhel Ajaz Khan and consul general Mohammed Shahid Alam. They were accompanied by the vice president of Saudi Arabian Railways, Eng Al Harbi, and officials from Saudi Arabia’s ministry of Haj and ministry of transport. The pilgrims had arrived on a Saudia Air flight from Mumbai.

“This is not only a first for Indian pilgrims but also an inaugural experience for Saudi authorities in transporting Hajis by train directly from Jeddah airport to Makkah,” said Khan.

Indian authorities have been making efforts every year to make the Haj pilgrimage more comfortable and hassle-free.

This year, a total of 175,000 pilgrims from India will perform the Haj. Of these, 140,000 are travelling through the Haj committee of India.
