Pink, like the inside of your … Barbie Dreamhouse, baby! The Barbie movie set is open for tours, and you’ll need to see this Pinkprint for yourself. Emceed by Ms. Barbie, Margot Robbie, a new Architectural Digest tour gives you a peak inside a life-size Barbie Dreamhouse with all of the 2-D appliances your heart desires. Director Greta Gerwig even shows off the different pink shades that were used for the set, at one point showing off the versions of a “white” shade, which is to say, lighter pink, of course! “I can’t even tell you the meetings we had about pink,” Gerwig says. There were also lovely rules like “There is no water in Barbieland.” (Life in plastic means no swimming, unfortunately.) The only side effect of this pink-splosion is that you’ll be sad you can’t move in. Comfort yourself with the knowledge that it’s only about a month until the Barbie movie finally comes out on July 23. That’s hot (pink)!

It's not Malibu, but it'll do. After welcoming more than 100,000 guests at its Toronto location,  World of Barbie  made its U.S. debut Friday in Santa Monica.

The 20,000 square-foot attraction allows fans to step inside Barbie's life-sized Dreamhouse, try on one of Barbie's careers for size and even get in the driver's seat of a Barbie Camper Van designed by West Coast Customs.

The immersive activation — which is now open at Santa Monica Place — was imagined by live entertainment company Kilburn Live, Mattel, Inc. and global sports, fashion and events giant IMG.

“From day one this was much more than your typical experience," Mark Manuel, CEO of Kilburn Live, said in a news release. "This is a world, a world built specifically for Barbie fans so they can experience what it is like to walk into a life-sized Barbie playset.”

Interactive installations range from visiting Barbie's Dreamhouse and checking out her iconic outfits in her walk-in closet to boarding a Barbie space shuttle where you can interact with mission control and "travel" to several interstellar destinations.

The production also features a museum exhibit where guests can see how Barbie, her Dreamhouse and her various vehicles have evolved over the years. You can even see the Barbie doll that started it all, clad in a black and white striped swimsuit and her iconic ponytail. The doll officially debuted on March 9, 1959.

A series of after-hours and special events will also roll out at the SoCal location:

• Pink Carpet Night  - Get dolled up in your best "Barbiecore" outfit, walk past the pink carpet and take part in various Barbie photo ops. Once inside World of Barbie, you can expect live music, a snack bar and more.
• Movie Days  - The Barbie movie theater will feature animated Barbie movies every Sunday (popcorn available).
• Sips After Sunset  - Guests 21+ can enjoy World of Barbie with DJ-driven music and cocktails. This will be a recurring event hosted by special guest influencers.

You Can Still Rent The Viral Barbie Malibu DreamHouse

Or, shall I say Ken’s Mojo Dojo Casa House?

Calling all Barbie girls wishing to live in a Barbie world. On July 21, Airbnb opened the doors to Barbie’s Malibu DreamHouse for lucky fans in honor of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling . Barbie is known for her high heels and pink fashion palette, but her name has also become synonymous with her iconic DreamHouse. Now, Barbie’s house is life-size, and still available to book on Swimply for your summertime pool parties. I was actually able to take an early tour of the Barbie Malibu DreamHouse before guests were able to reserve their overnight stay through Airbnb near the beach, and I can’t believe how many Easter eggs there were inside the house .

Spoiler alert: This post discusses some plot points from Barbie. Located on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, the Barbie DreamHouse sits atop a hill that overlooks the ocean. You can actually see the hot pink Barbiecore house from the street below, and it looks as though someone just supersized the play set and placed it there. While it was originally Barbie’s DreamHouse, Ken has taken over to make it his Mojo Dojo Casa House and is serving as host. Just like in Barbie, Ken has decorated the place with his go-to Western aesthetic, which means you’ll find his cowboy boots, hats, and even his plastic horse in the bedroom. For Ken, there can never be too many horses.

Taking a tour of the house prior to seeing the film, I thought all the Ken touches were strange but went along with the theming. It wasn’t until I saw the Barbie movie that I realized how accurate it was to the Mojo Dojo Casa House. Along with the horse decor, the Malibu DreamHouse also has nods to the film by way of Ken’s costumes, his saloon doors, and even the mini fridge. Since Ken loves the three B’s — Barbie, beach, and blading — you can also find references to those in the rental as well. The Malibu DreamHouse has a mini disco roller rink, a rooftop overlooking the beach, and Barbie’s iconic slide.

How To Book The Barbie Malibu DreamHouse On Swimply

The booking window to stay at the Barbie Malibu DreamHouse has closed. However, you can still spend some time at Ken’s Mojo Dojo Casa House through Swimply. The app allows you to rent the DreamHouse in Malibu for you and up to nine friends. Unfortunately, the pool rental is not free like the Airbnb stay. Instead, the Swimply rental is $250 for two hours with up to five guests and $500 for two hours for up to 10 guests. Split between all the Barbies in your friend group, that’s about $50 per person if you do the max amount.

It may be a little pricey, but worth it if you’d like to also spend some time in the Kendom. Just like Ken is more than just beach, this rental is more than just a pool. In fact, you’ll want to bring along a Barbiecore outfit so you look your best while capturing content by the pool, at the gym, or lounging in Ken’s room.

What’s Included In The Barbie Malibu DreamHouse Through Swimply?

The Barbie Malibu house really feels like you’re playing with a DreamHouse and you’re the doll. When you first arrive, you’ll see a hot pink slide that looks just like the one in Robbie’s Architectural Digest tour of Barbie’s DreamHouse . Robbie said the slide was her “favorite design feature” of the Barbie DreamHouse in the film, and the one in the Malibu house is also a highlight — even if you can’t go down it. It has a faux pool at the bottom because there is “no water in Barbie Land.” There is water IRL, though, which is why you’ll want to spend all your time in the infinity pool.

When you’re not doing laps, you’ll find a mix of real objects and plastic ones to make you feel like a real Barbie doll. For instance, the grill has plastic meats and the fire pit is actually fireproof. Instead of a real horse, there is a life-size plastic one stationed in the bedroom, which is heavily Western themed — the way Ken likes it. There are cowboy hats lining the walls above the round bed, which looks just like the one in the movie. That’s not the only Barbie Easter egg, though. You’ll also find tons of clothes from the film in Barbie’s wardrobe, including Ken’s black Western shirt that looks like Jimin from BTS’, his white fur coat, and the pink heel from the iconic Barbie foot scene from the trailer . After you see the movie, you’ll be able to spot even more nods to film hidden in the decor.

The rooftop gym has Beefy Body Brine, which was a prop from the film and used by all the manly Kens. You can workout like the Kens up there when you’re not swimming, or just enjoy the views with a telescope for stargazing. If you’re rental happens when the sun does go down, you’ll want to hang out on the outdoor disco dance floor. There is a working record player and disco ball overhead that is stunning in the daylight or at night. You could also throw on “I’m Just Ken” or “Push” by Ryan Gosling to listen to while you’re dancing.

Just getting to walk around the Malibu DreamHouse made me feel like a kid again. I can’t imagine what it would be like to play house as Barbie and Ken during a summertime pool party. It’s Barbie’s world, and we’re just living in it.

'World of Barbie' experience making US debut this spring in Los Angeles

Barbie's Dreamhouse is no longer a dream: Beginning this spring, you'll be able to step through the doors to her Malibu home and find out if life in plastic is really as fantastic as it seems. The World of Barbie, a partnership between Mattel and branded live entertainment group Kilburn Live, is an immersive experience that transports Barbie fans into Barbie's pastel pink world.

After a wildly successful run in Toronto, the World of Barbie is launching stateside. Tickets go on sale March 8 for World of Barbie's U.S. debut in the Los Angeles area at Santa Monica Place on April 14.

While there, you can lounge in Barbie's perfectly decorated living room and walk the pink carpet; you can also try on some of Barbie's fashionable personalities by stepping into life-size doll boxes with themes like "Western" and "fashionista." Outside, you can lounge on Barbie's patio and splash in the pool.

It is plastic, so no diving is allowed.

Not only will you be able to walk through Barbie's home, but you'll also have a chance to tour her very pink camper van and explore areas themed to a few of Barbie's many careers — including newscaster, lab scientist and astronaut. You can enjoy snacks from a Barbie-themed cafe and visit a museum that chronicles Barbie's history and evolution.

Special events will occur throughout World of Barbie's Los Angeles run. For instance, on Pink Carpet Night, guests are encouraged to don their best pink outfits. They can also enjoy Movie Days with Barbie animated films as well as Sips After Sunset nights with live music and themed cocktails.

The photo opportunities are endless, but World of Barbie's creators hope visitors come away with more than selfies.

Their goal is for kids to be inspired to dream big like Barbie — the only doll in history who has held down simultaneous careers as a pilot and a rock star and managed to look flawless doing both. Adults who grew up with Barbie can reminisce about the doll they've loved since childhood and admire how she has evolved throughout the years.

Tickets for Los Angeles World of Barbie dates start at $34 for adults and $26 for children. On the World of Barbie website, you can sign up for exclusive access to advance ticket sales and be the first to know if Barbie packs up her pink suitcase for a visit to your town.

Barbie is opening the doors to her Dreamhouse.

Ahead of Greta Gerwig ‘s highly anticipated and star-studded “Barbie” film, out this July, the entertainment company Kilburn Live and Mattel have teamed up in creating an immersive experience called “World of Barbie” that initially kicked off in Toronto and will now tour across North America through the summer. The experience opens in Los Angeles’s Santa Monica Place on Apr. 14. Tickets are available on the Fever website for $34.50.

Of course, the highlight of the experience is Barbie’s Dreamhouse, where guests will be able to explore the exquisitely designed rooms of the life-size Malibu mansion complete with a patio and pool, and walk-in closets filled with garments from decades of iconic Barbie fashion history.

The Los Angeles run will also feature special events and after-hour celebrations. Starting in late May, 21+ guests will be invited to Sips after Sunset, a recurring event with DJ-driven music and specialty cocktails, while June will see the opening of Pink Carpet Night, where guests will be encouraged to wear their most glamorous, “Barbiecore” attire for a night of live music, dancing and drinks.

Warner Bros. released the official trailer for Gerwig’s “Barbie” film last month. While plot details have been kept tightly under wraps, the film does find Barbie and Ken stuck in the real world, where the former discovers the challenges of being a live woman. Robbie stars opposite Ryan Gosling, who plays Barbie’s longtime boy toy Ken.

Along with Robbie and Gosling, the star-studded cast includes Will Ferrell, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Nicola Coughlan, Emerald Fennell, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Ncuti Gatwa and Issa Rae, among many others.

When is the World of Barbie?

Mattel partnered with Kilburn Live to bring the immersive World of Barbie to fans of all ages.

The Barbie dream house will be a main focal point and was first created in 1962.

The immersive experience is now providing individuals of all ages with the opportunity to step into their childhood playset.

Kilburn CEO Mark Manuel said in a press release to the US Sun, “We were asked to bring Barbie’s playset to life. Who can say no to that opportunity?

“Barbie is as relevant today as she was when she was first introduced to the world 63 years ago, if not more.

"I watched my daughter live and play in her world, I believe it helped shape her sharp and lively imagination, just like it has for millions of other children growing up. So there were a lot of reasons we needed to get this right.”

Other features will include a lifesize version of Barbie's pink camper van, patio, and a fake swimming pool.

The tour will kick off in Toronto, Ontario in July 2022 and People reported Barbie's dream house will travel to New York, Houston, Texas, Los Angeles, California, Chicago, Illinois, and more.

More locations are expected to come but tour dates have not yet been released.

The Barbie dream house will provide a sense of nostalgia for fans who grew up with the playset and will bring back memories of their childhood, the CEO of Kilburn Live, Mark Manuel told People .

For younger Barbie fans, Manuel said this is an opportunity for people of all ages to immerse themselves in Barbie's world.

"Stepping into Barbie's real-life dream house, being transported to Malibu, sitting down in her camper van…there's no age limit to that," Manuel said.

"You also have an older generation who's going to walk through and be brought back to their childhood days," he added.

Barbie's dream house came during a time when women didn't have many rights but promoted a doll who had a career and her own home.

 “Throughout her history and numerous careers, Barbie has represented a world of limitless potential,” Julie Freeland, Senior Director of Location Based Entertainment at Mattel said in a press release to the US Sun.

“With this exquisitely designed attraction, we were intentional about delivering an exciting experience that would leave younger fans with the sense that they could do anything or be anything.

"And, for those who grew up with Barbie, we wanted to spark a little bit of nostalgia, give these fans a chance to step back, re-invent themselves, if only for an afternoon, and spend a day in the Dream Life!”

What attractions will be at the World of Barbie?

The press release says the following attractions will be included in the World of Barbie immersive experience:

• Barbie Dreamhouse – Visitors will be able to explore the designed rooms of the Barbie Dreamhouse, complete with a patio party and a DJ kit to mix music at the side of Barbie's pool.

World of Barbie immersive experience to open its doors next month in Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KABC) -- The new immersive experience World of Barbie is set to open its doors to the world famous doll's fans in Santa Monica next month.

The World of Barbie is described as a one-of-a-kind immersive experience that allows visitors to visit a life-sized Barbie Dreamhouse, chill out in a Barbie camper van and enjoy interactive rooms, such as a music studio, where you can try out several Barbie careers.

The experience opens on April 14 at Santa Monica Place.

Tickets go on sale on March 8 at noon.

Ticket prices will start at $34.

You Can Now Visit a Real-Life Barbie Dreamhouse in Malibu

With less than a month go until the release of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie —the hotly-anticipated Margot Robbie -starring blockbuster is set for release on July 21—the team at Airbnb has taken over a Malibu mansion and revamped it as the Barbie Dreamhouse of your, well, dreams. According to Airbnb, the story of how this hot pink paradise (which was first spotted by social media sleuths from aerial footage over the weekend) begins with Barbie heading away for the weekend and handing over the keys to her beloved Ken, who took it upon himself to list the property for a few lucky visitors to experience via the home rental platform. (So … thoughtful?)

As such, there are not only all of the mod-cons you might expect from a Barbie Dreamhouse —an infinity pool, a bar, a home gym with ocean views, and enough pink to put Pepto-Bismol out of business—but a few of Ken’s touches, too. Notably, you can “feel the Kenergy” by trying out the skates and surfboards he might have left around the house. You can channel your inner cowboy with a line dance on the light-up disco dance floor, or simply laze by the pool and top up your Ken-worthy tan. For the truly committed, you can even dress up like Ken, thanks to a fully-stocked closet bursting with beach-ready looks. 

While a stay at the Dreamhouse is available free of charge—Airbnb is offering a handful of guests the chance to enjoy one-night stays around the movie’s release at the end of July—there’s a small catch: To earn the chance to book Ken’s bedroom, you’ll have to put in your request on July 17 at 10 a.m. PST on the dot via the Airbnb website , where the competition to secure a stay is sure to be fierce. It’s time to learn for yourself whether life in plastic really is that fantastic.

With supermodel Ashely Graham as the host and a slew of talented judges (including some surprise celeb appearances), the teams create bold and dreamy designs. A Front Yard Fit for a Doll

Modelled after the 1995 Dreamhouse, Bargain Block ‘s Evan and Keith had the task of making over the exterior of this 4,500 square foot Barbie mansion. A clean white exterior with hot pink and aqua blue accents, plus black and white striped shutter give it a perfect dollhouse look. And the pièce de résistance? The bright pink handle, complete with Barbie’s logo.

You Rang, Barbie?

For their toyetic feature, Evan and Keith created a pink flamingo water feature that leads up to that signature pink door, complete with ’90s Barbie phone as a doorbell.

Step in to ’90s Neon

The entryway, designed by  Married to Real Estate ‘s Egypt and Mike instantly transports you back to the electric 1990s. The front door is painted a glossy pink to mimic the look of plastic, which continues to the spiral staircase and the popular Memphis pattern of the decade can be seen on the front wall.

A Sublime Spiral Staircase

Speaking of that staircase, unlike most understated staircases, the Barbie Dreamhouse needed an impossibly eye-catching feature reminiscent of those from nearly every dollhouse. And peep those beautiful stained glass windows with Barbie profiles featuring a variety of diverse hairstyles.

Denim Heaven

Adding to the over-the-top ’90s design is this acid-wash denim couch packed with fluffy pillows that perfectly complements the colour-blocked walls of the space.

Dine Like a Doll

Egypt and Mike continued their neon ’90s design into the dining area, fitting in with doll-like dining table and chairs, a splatter wall and a technicolour ceiling feature that’s to die for.

The Neon Nook

The neon lights add a pop art element that speaks to their design decade and creates one of the most eclectic dining areas that we’ve ever seen.

Enter Barbie’s World

Heading upstairs to Barbie’s bedroom, Jon and Kristina from Farmhouse Fixer  take you back to the ’80s. Stepping into the (obviously) pink space, you’re met with a retro Barbie stationary exercise bike that’s a life-size replica of the Barbie toy from that era. And check out those glitter ceilings !

Dreamhouse Dreamland

The canopy bed is an absolute masterpiece worthy of any Barbie girl. With light-up pink hearts, a cut-out heart headboard and a voice-activated audio feature, it’s both retro and futuristic.

Powder Room Pink

Continuing the dreamy pink ’80s motif into the primary bath, Jon and Kristina created a beautiful sanctuary. From the over-sized soaker tub to the pink-tinted shower glass, it’s a Barbie lover’s dream bathroom .

Now Arriving at Glam Station

The glam station is serving just the right posh ’80s energy, complete with glossy pink cabinetry, plush white carpet (because Kristina did not win the wall-to-wall bathroom carpet battle over Jon) and a light fixture that echos the bubbles that will surely fill the tub. And the most Barbie element of all is the oversized Barbie hairbrush fixed above the bathroom vanity .

A Darling Dressing Room

Christina On the Coast ‘s Christina and James Bender team up to give the Barbie Dreamhouse a dressing room and closet area that any fashionista would envy. They incorporated all the decades through their displays of some of Barbie’s most iconic outfits (life-sized!). They also included a seating area for the most comfortable dress-up time.

Outside the (Doll) Box Design

One of the standout elements of their design is this human-sized doll box where they’ve displayed the stunning patchwork gown — the 50th anniversary dress — on loan from Mattel. And they’ve also brought in the future with a hat conveyor belt along the ceiling, where Barbie’s various chapeaus spin on display.

Glamorous GRWM

The room hits all the right notes with its romance, glitz and glamour. It even features a fashion vending machine, an incredibly clever toyetic element from Christina and James.

The Disco Den

Finally, a place for Ken!  Rock the Block’ s Ty and  Windy City Rehab ‘s Alison team up to tackle the first-ever Ken Den. Rich colours, wood elements, plenty of texture, disco balls and an insane light-up dance floor bring the room straight back to the ’70s.

Party Mode On

Wall-to-wall carpet and graphic retro wallpaper give the room a truly authentic 1970s vibe. The team went with a pattern overload, sexy tones and motifs from the actual 1979 Barbie A-Frame Dreamhouse.

Just Wigging It

Hidden behind two sliding screens is this wig wall inspired by Mod Hair Ken. Because Barbie isn’t the only doll who needs a transformation station!

An Aqua Barbie Office

Michel and Anthony from  Luxe for Less had the task of designing the first Barbie Dreamhouse office for the multi-hyphenate career doll. They had the extra challenge of incorporating Barbie past, present and future into their decor. They created a combination desk and aquarium statement piece that lights up the room. For their toyetic element, they designed a pop-down screen so Barbie can video conference in to all her business calls.

Arch Attack

To bring a trend of today, the team designed a beautiful arched built-in shelving unit that brought a splash of pink in. An extra special touch is the Barbie book covers that showcase the diversity of Barbie dolls.

A Striped Ceiling

Calling back to retro Barbie looks is the striped black and white ceiling that also serves in elongating the small space. Another lovely element that showcases the history of the Barbie doll is the sweet (and oh-so fashionable) Barbie wallpaper behind her office desk,

Totally Retro Living Room

Heading back downstairs is the cozy, woodsy 1960s-inspired living room designed by Help! I Wrecked My House star Jasmine and Food Network’s Antonia ( Beachside Brawl ). Rich, warm tones and plenty of wood make this fireside seating area feel inviting.

The Original Era

Inspired by the decade when Barbie was created, the team didn’t forget to include Barbie’s signature pink by adding these playful polka dots to the feature wall.

Pastel Paradise

Bringing it right back to the OG dollhouse is this pastel Barbie kitchen. Glossy pastel pink cabinetry is the perfect fit for a Barbie kitchen while the sleek Tiffany blue floors and ceilings mirror each other.

Pink Appliance Perfection

What could be better than this retro pink SMEG toaster? The fact that their toyectic element is that it pops out of the countertop at the push of a button.

Backsplash With a Secret

The kitchen backsplash is a perfect match in this kitchen — except it’s not actually tile! Jasmine and Antonia found this excellent wallpaper that suited the space. The kitchen was then outfitted with retro-style kitchen appliances that were just right for the 1960s influence.

A Sweet, Sweet Pantry

This walk-in mega organized pantry is a doll lover’s dream! With pink walls, colourful dining dishes and candy-lined shelves, what more could a Barbie fanatic want?

Pretty Pool Party

Mika and Brian from 100 Day Dream Home team up for a Barbie backyard. They installed pink AstroTurf, proving that the grass might just be pinker on the other side in this Y2K-inspired makeover.

What pool party would be complete without a BBQ (or should we say, Barbie-Q). A sleek chrome element and bright pink countertops make this a stylish al fresco cooking space that proves life in plastic really is  fantastic.

Pops of colour and whimsy throughout the summery space that’s ready for entertaining make it a perfect reflection of the 2000s.

Slip ‘n’ Slide

The centrepiece of the backyard is the hot pink slide and the Barbie logo hedge feature (complete with pink flowers!). The pool even has a swim-up bar. The whole space transports you to a Malibu pool party fantasy, which is why Mike and Brian took home the big win for this Barbie Dreamhouse design.

Fans Are Obsessed With Margot Robbie’s Barbie Dreamhouse Tour

It’s everything we could have hoped for and more!

If you’re counting down the days until the Barbie movie is released next month, we’ve been given a sneak peek into the world of the iconic doll thanks to a recent house tour video like no other.

The film’s star Margot Robbie showed off the real-life Barbie Dreamhouse from the movie over on Architectural Digest ’s YouTube channel .

As expected, there is a lot of pink. So much pink that the movie allegedly caused a worldwide shortage of pink paint during filming. There’s everything from a pink fridge, toaster, stove and dining room table in the kitchen, to a magical Clueless -style pink wardrobe that houses all of Barbie’s clothing and accessories.

In the video, the movie’s director Greta Gerwig revealed, “I wanted to capture what was so ridiculously fun about the Dreamhouses. We sat with all these different kinds of pinks and we were like, ‘What is the pink? How do the pinks interact?’ When I was a girl, I wanted the brightest things.”

But it’s not just all about Barbie’s favorite color. Specific details bring the Dreamhouse to life while also giving a nod to the dollhouses that children the world over grew up playing with. For example, the kitchen had decals of food instead of real food. Even the hair brushes and toothbrushes are larger than life, giving viewers that true doll-like experience.

When it comes to Robbie’s favorite detail in the Dreamhouse, it is the giant twisty water slide that connects Barbie’s bedroom to the waterless pool.

Robbie recalled having that one special request when the Dreamhouse came to life. “Please, please, please can we have a Dreamhouse where she has a slide that goes from her bedroom down to her pool because that is my goal in life,” the actor asked the director.

The house itself was influenced by 1950s and early 1960s design—with the famous doll being invented in 1959—and immediately conjures up the feeling of a mid-century Palm Springs home.

Fans have taken to social media to share their excitement.

One person tweeted: “need to live in the barbie dreamhouse immediately.”

While another added: “waking up in the barbie dreamhouse would solve all of my problems.”

A third affirmed: “the barbie dreamhouse set tour on architectural digest. oh i was sat. best 7 mins and 25 seconds i’ve ever spent on youtube.”

The Dreamhouse will be up on the big screen very soon when the movie comes out on July 21.

Life in plastic is fantastic in a new set tour from Barbie , shared by Architectural Digest . In the video, Margot Robbie , who plays the movie's lead Barbie, takes the audience into the massive set that was built for Greta Gerwig 's latest movie. As the home of Barbie, the house is made out of things that look beautiful, but are not necessarily useful or practical. Paintings represent things such as the sky or the contents of the refrigerator, while bright shades of pink make the environment a sight to behold. Only Barbie could have a slide that led directly into her pool.

The film will put Barbie in a very peculiar situation , with the character suddenly having very existential doubts in her head. While everything seems to be perfect in her world, with all the parties and musical numbers, Barbie still feels like there's something missing, and that there has to be more to life than being a perfect doll. When she voices her concerns to her partner, Ken ( Ryan Gosling ), he feels confused as to why Barbie would want to leave their lifestyle but, as always, he is very supportive of his girlfriend. It's finally time for Barbie to leave the dream house in order to have new adventures in the real world.

Barbie's new ideas about the meaning of life do not sit well with the people from her village, who are very comfortable with how things work in the dreamy community. The citizens of the town are other variations of Barbie and Ken, named after their favorite hobbies or the roles they play in society. For example, Dua Lipa and John Cena will star as Mermaid Barbie and Merman Ken, respectively, establishing a variant of the couple that has shiny fishtails instead of legs. Added to that, Emma Mackey is set to star as a Barbie who specializes in the knowledge of physics.

Barbie Will Face a Corporate Villain in Her Real World Adventure

Just like Barbie's new ideas aren't welcome in her home , the fact that the actual dolls from the package are alive out there somewhere will turn out to be a huge surprise for the people of the real world. Will Ferrell will be in charge of playing the Chief Executive Officer of Mattel. After finding out that there's a living and breathing version of his product running freely on the streets, he'll want to get to the bottom of the mystery. Let's just hope Barbie and Ken's roller skates are fast enough to get them out of trouble before it's too late. The summer of Barbie is already here.
