Barbie's Malibu dream house is back on Airbnb, but this time Ken is hosting for free

On the heels of the "Barbie" movie being released in theaters next month, the Mattel plastic doll's dream house is back by demand on Airbnb − but this time, Ken’s hosting.

Did we mention it's free?

Up to four guests will have the opportunity to stay in the newly revamped Dreamhouse where Ken will offer up his room up for availability. A stay at the home was first offered in 2019 .

The oceanfront mansion, located in Malibu, California, features panoramic views and "serves as the perfect backdrop for Ken’s picture-plastic paradise," according to a statement from Airbnb.

The home also includes a roller-skating rink, infinity pool, bar and gym for the lucky guests.

How to book the Barbie Dreamhouse

Bookings open Monday, July 17 at 10 a.m. PT at airbnb.com/kendreamhouse.

There are two one-night stays available for up to two guests each on July 21 and July 22, so a total of four guests can stay at the house. Bookings are first come, first serve.

The stays are free of charge, according to Airbnb, but guests are responsible for their own travel to and from Malibu.

What the home offers

The Airbnb description reads: "Welcome to my Kendom! While Barbie is away, she has handed over the keys to her Malibu Dreamhouse this summer and my room could be yours for the night. I've added a few touches to bring some much-needed Kenergy to the newly renovated and iconic Malibu Dreamhouse."

According to the listing , guests will have the opportunity to:

• Dive into Ken’s wardrobe to find their best beach fit
• "Channel their inner cowboy" and line dance on an outdoor disco dance floor
• Challenge fellow guests to a “beach off” while relaxing by the infinity pool
• Snag a piece of "the Kendom" with their very own set of yellow-and-pink Impala skates and surfboards

Ryan Gosling, 42, responds to criticism he’s ‘too old’ to play Ken in ‘Barbie’

Ryan Gosling is clapping back at trolls who have a problem with him being cast as Ken in the upcoming “Barbie” film due to his “old” age.

“I would say, you know, if people don’t want to play with my Ken, there are many other Kens to play with,” the 42-year-old told GQ in a new interview this week.

Gosling said that he thinks the discourse is “funny” given that people didn’t think about Ken before he was cast.

“But suddenly, it’s like, ‘No, we’ve cared about Ken this whole time,” he added. “No, you didn’t. You never did. You never cared. Barbie never f–ked with Ken. That’s the point.

The “Notebook” star concluded, “If you ever really cared about Ken, you would know that nobody cared about Ken. So your hypocrisy is exposed. This is why his story must be told.”

Although Gosling believes no one cares about Ken, he jokingly admitted that he feels like the fictional character’s “representative.”

“I care about this dude now. I’m like his representative,” he quipped. “‘Ken couldn’t show up to receive this award, so I’m here to accept it for him.'”

After the trailer for the Greta Gerwig-directed film hit social media back in April, several Gen Z fans expressed their concern over Gosling being cast because of his age.

“[R]yan gosling is too old to be playing ken i’m sorry his wrinkles are taking me out of the experience,”  one fan tweeted .

“I like Ryan Gosling but idk [I don’t know] why he looks a little too old and dry. Not sure if it’s because of the hair or tan but he needed some moisturizer,”  another complained . 

“Ryan gosling is too ugly and too old to be playing ken, they should’ve casted (sic) henry cavill or chris evans bye,”  a third hater wrote . 

However, several other fans defended Gosling taking on the role, saying that Ken is technically 62 years old.

“Ken is 62 years old.@RyanGosling is only 42. So let’s not talk about who’s too old to be playing whom,” tweeted one supporter , while another added , “For the record I like Ryan Gosling as Ken. No one cared about Ken and now suddenly everyone cares if it’s a 40 year old actor playing Ken?”

“Barbie” hits theaters on July 21 and also stars Margot Robbie, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Will Ferrell, America Ferrera and Scott Evans.

Jeremy Renner ‘s history with the “ Mission: Impossible ” franchise spans two films, 2011’s “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” and 2015’s “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.” During an interview on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, the actor revealed that he was actually asked to reprise the character of IMF agent William Brandt in the 2018 sequel “Fallout.” However, the offer was apparently for Renner to shoot one week so that Brandt could be killed off. Renner refused.

Renner never returned to the “Mission: Impossible” franchise after “Rogue Nation,” although he recently told Collider that he would be open to coming back.

“I was supposed to do more with them,” Renner said of the “Mission: Impossible” cast. “I love those guys. I love Tom so much. We had so much fun, and I love that character a lot. It requires a lot of time away. It’s all in London. I had to go be a dad. It just wasn’t gonna work out then. Maybe now that my daughter is older that could happen. I’d always jump into a ‘Mission: Impossible’ anytime and back into Brandt. It’s great.”

When Renner appeared in “Rogue Nation,” rumors circulated that Paramount was eyeing him to take over the franchise from Tom Cruise . That’s not true, the actor said on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast.

“No, it was always Tom’s show, that would be a Tom decision, if he ever wanted to change that narrative,” Renner said. “And as he’s maturing as an actor, he kinda wants to hold on, he’s doing ‘Top Gun’ again, right? He’s rebooting that, and let’s [lean] into the things in his life that he’s comfortable with now…the guy’s a beast and works harder than anyone I know.”

Launching on Netflix on June 7, is the hotly anticipated feature film, Hit Man . Richard Linklater’s romantic comedy film premiered out of competition at the Venice Film Festival last year and critics were bowled over by the performance of leading man, and recent The Hollywood Reporter cover star , Glen Powell, who is seemingly having the year of his life. Based on a somewhat true story from an article by Skip Hollandsworth, Hit Man tells the story of a nerdy police contractor who stumbles into a role as an undercover hitman. The film also stars Adria Arjona, Austin Amelio, Retta, Sanjay Rao, Molly Bernard and Evan Holtzman.

On June 12, the fifth season of talk show series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman hits Netflix. It’s been a short break since the last time we saw David Letterman in My Next Guest , after the special one-off episode with John Mulaney in April, but this time the former Late Night host brings a full season of guests including Miley Cyrus and Charles Barkley.

On June 20, Greg Whiteley’s new series about the storied Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad debuts on Netflix. America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders tells the inside story on what it takes to make one of the most iconic cheerleading squads in the world, offers an intimate and personal look at the team of dancers and gives context to the art of cheerleading and the place of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders in American culture.

Jessica Alba recently stepped down from a leadership role at her business , The Honest Company, and one can only assume this will lead to more film roles. In her first feature since 2019’s Killers Anonymous , Alba stars in Netflix’s Trigger Warning , an all-action tale of revenge and justice that hits the streamer on June 21. The film centers on Special Forces commando Parker (Alba) becoming the new owner of her dad’s bar in their hometown after his sudden passing. Back home, she learns that the town is now controlled by a violent gang as she aims to get answers about the tragedy. The movie also stars Mark Webber, Jake Weary, Anthony Michael Hall, Kaiwi Lyman and Hari Dhillon and is directed by rising Indonesian female filmmaker Mouly Surya.
