I got this same charge on a brand new credit card. It was for $2.55 and $3.45 - My Uber account has no info on these charges, so I suspect it has nothing to do with Uber and these are scammers using the Uber name to nickle and dime people's credit cards and hoping they don't notice because it is such a small amount????

I am like others on this site, I have had over 40 charges to my credit card. I called my Credit Card Co and they are looking into it I can not find a number to call Uber except the safety number and that does nothing. The name on the charge is 8 UBER TRIP HELP.UBER.COM help.uber.comNL then under that it says Indian Rupee. I have cancelled the card now I am worried about other cards I am not sure why the credit card co would let these charges go through when they are mostly in the same day and only minutes apart

The web site looks legit, covering a variety of FAQ's, Bbbbuuutttt… There is no way to contact the company this way- no phone #, chat etc. I finally found a link to let me check my tip history, although it says they cannot take a tip back (i.e. settle a dispute). I proceeded to sign in through Facebook but it wouldn't let me sign in. They didn't ask for my password, but I regret I was ready to give it. The charges were $1 and $1.18 on the same day with no other charges within at least 2 weeks. The minimum cost of an ubber pool ride is $6, so this doesn't even make sense. I had to shut down my card.

Today I took a look at my credit account and I found many charged transactions Uber help trip really I was surprised and upset in the meantime because it's a fraude and my bank doesn't block that and post them I called customer care and security service and asked them to block all pending transactions and refund me as soon as possible.

Please be mindful because there's an attack from indian hackers

It's not an Uber charge. It's an overseas scam. You will need to contact your Credit Card company.

Recently I’ve received this email from Uber saying: we’re reaching out to let you know that the fare for one of your trips has been adjusted. Trip date: XXXXXX Original fare: $19.82 New fare: $6.82 Reason: Mistimed Trip Start/End. This fare was adjusted following a report that the trip was not started and/or ended at the correct pickup location and destination. We've adjusted the fare to reflect the estimated time and distance between the pickup location and destination provided to us. I exactly remembered this trip from 3 Weeks ago. I picked up this passenger at the hotel. Upon arriving, I let the passenger know that I was there by text. However, she called me back 4 or 5 minutes later saying that she was at the Front desk paying but the front desk had problems with credit card machine for payment so she said there is some delay and asked me to wait little longer. I replied Ok. However I waited 15 minutes in addition to 5 minutes of waiting. She comes into the car and thanked me for my patience and I said “No problem.” She had her boyfriend with her and he smelled heavy with marijuana. Then I started their trip and I noticed its only 8 miles away to the train station. So I was not happy about the trip being short trip having to wait long and in addition stinking my car with marijuana. But as we get closer to their train station, she said she wants change trip to 20 miles away to UGA and she asked me if it was okay to change the destination and I said it was okay.(I was happy). And asked her to change the destination herself in her app. So she did and I did drop them off 20 miles away to UGA. (Of Course NO TIPS from them.) So, as you can see I did deserve this original fare of $19.82. But apparently she disputed the fare by saying I dropped them off at the train station 8 miles away. I am upset with UBER for not consulting me FIRST for making any adjustments for my pay. However, UBER did change the fare back to the original fare. Drivers, beware of these practices by UBER and check ALL your emails, UBER will deduct from your payment if your not aware. Also, Beware of these scammers/passengers!! They know exactly what they are doing, and I’m sure they have pulled this before and it worked for them in the past. Don’t let this happen to you. Be vigilant!!

This happens to me at least twice a weekend, except Uber doesn't alert me at all, I just note the pay change and then message them and ask WTF? Don't just touch my pay no questions asked on my end. Now I pretty much screen shot anyone iffy or makes changes. But I shutter to think how many get away with it, I smell Ubers next Class action lawsuit

Yes, this does happen often. I also like the "you didn't take the optimal route" email. I don't know about everybody else but with me driving XL I get a lot of different destinations with more people in my truck. That's why I insist they change the address in the app.

This just happened to me. Passenger requested a ride , Los Angeles March 13, 2017 from 1255 sunset to 1200 colton street. It was only a $5,77 fare. I have a map with the pick up spot and the drop off, but uber just took my money anyway. Cheap ass pax requests a fare adjustment january 2018 and I get deducted $5,77. I have complained to uber but all I get is that I have not complained in time. I have spoken with many reps, the only time they said they would change things for me was when I said I was recording everything, with no hesitation the operator said they would pay me back and that it was already reflecting in my pay. Only for me to see they were lying to me. Still trying to fight these aaholes, wjy cant uber just do the right thing??? SMH

this sounds like a bug or a malfunction on their part. 10 months later? The fare adjustment thing only happened to me one time. There are people out there gaming the sytem, but i assume there accounts will be terminated after a few times. No way should a passenger be able to change a fare, 10 months later.  

Yes I thought it was a bug too, and the reason why I insisted so much in getting this fare re-readjusted. I have tried the help line, which everytime of my 5 times trying with different operators they tell me to hold for 2 min. When they coke back they will say that this will go to the special investigation team. And the investigation team says "Thanks for letting us know, Brian. Unfortunately, we are unable to adjust a fare more than 10 days after a trip ends. Riders are billed immediately when a trip ends, and we need to establish clear and consistent expectations for fare adjustments. If this happens again on a future trip, let us know within ten days and we will review for any adjustments. If you have any more questions we're always happy to help." Like I said this was the fifth time I requested help on this. I dont understand how it can be more than 10 days if in the app the adjustment request was jan 9th.

What is uber shuttle.

Uber Shuttle uses technology to reserve your seat on a clean, air-conditioned, and high-quality shuttle to enjoy a comfortable and convenient commute.

When you request your ride through the app, you’ll see all the possible times you can book and can schedule your week ahead. Also, because you’re sharing your rides with other Uber passengers, the price is affordable enough for everyday use.

Trip pricing

You’ll see the price upfront upon booking your shuttle. Pricing is based on the distance of your trip.

Riding with Uber Shuttle

  • Update : Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Uber app.
  • Request : After you’ve entered your destination, select the Shuttle option, review your price, pick your preferred pickup time, how many seats you want, and tap Request.
  • View trip details : A few minutes after booking, the app will display your trip details, including the driver and the pickup spot. Your seat has now been reserved. On the way to your pickup location, you can track the vehicle on your app.
  • Walk to pickup : Make sure you arrive at the pickup spot on the map before your shuttle arrives. The driver will only wait 2 minutes at the pickup spot.
  • Ride : Show your ticket to your driver, pay your driver (for cash trips only), and enjoy your ride in your seat on the clean, safe, air-conditioned shuttle.
  • Walk to destination : You’ll see walking directions to your final destination in the app when you get closer to your destination.

Pre-booking Uber Shuttle trips

You can reserve a time slot up to one week in advance of the desired date and time. You can also reserve multiple shuttles throughout the ‌week.

Requesting Uber rides for Uber Shuttle trips

You can request a separate ride during your Uber Shuttle trip to take you to your pickup location or your final destination.

Available shuttle routes

We provide specific routes, so your pickup and dropoff points need to be within those areas. You can view all available shuttle routes by entering your destination in the app or by going to Shuttle Routes on the account tab.

Riding with friends or family

You can book multiple seats from your account. You can book up to 3 seats on one trip (2 extra riders).

Referring friends

Any rider who’s taken at least one Shuttle trip is eligible for this program. To refer a friend:

  • Go to the main menu in the Uber app
  • Select Free Shuttle rides
  • Open FAQs to read the details of the program
  • Tap the Refer Friends button
  • Choose how you’d like to send the referral code (through WhatsApp, text, email, and so on)
  • Ask your friends to use the referral code to take their first free trip and you’ll get free trips
