About the travellers rest.

The Travellers Rest has been in the same family ownership since 1997, Situated at Brough Lane Head, In the centre of the Hope Valley, at the heart of the Peak District. After the Millenium the pub was virtually all rebuilt over a two year period. It has Six well appointed letting Bedrooms, all en suite with stunning countryside views. The pub is open every day of the week, with Bar meals served day and night all food is sourced as locally as possible with selections off our own Farm here at Brough. There is a large Free car park, a Huge beautifully laid out garden with seating and a safe children's play area. We are situated at the junction of the A6187 and B6049. One mile from the villages of Hope and Bradwell where there are shops and a Post Office and Three miles from Hathersage and Castleton.Hope Railway station on the Manchester to Sheffield Line is a 10 minute walk and there are three bus stops right outside the pub for easy access around the Valley and through to Sheffield.

This old roadside pub has been opened out so that now it mostly faces away from the road. There are bare stone walls in the old house, with conservatory-type extensions tacked onto the back, leading out into a multi-layered garden with numerous benches and tables. Gets very busy with holiday trade in summer (two campsites within a few hundred yards). Two local ales on handpump when I visited recently.

First time at Coastal Crust. We had beer & Chardonnay. Pizza was good. Their ricotta appetizer was delicious. Will come back to try out more on the menu.

This just opened in TR, and I highly recommend it! We started with the whipped ricotta that came with their fluffy focaccia bread. It was soooo good and was the perfect appetizer to tide us over. Then we shared the Supremo Pizza and their House made gnocchi. The pizza was a delicious thin crust with generous toppings. The pasta was well cooked, served with fresh, perfectly cooked vegetables, and had a yummy sauce that was subtle, but with a rich depth of flavor. Finally, we finished with the homemade canolli - blueberry. A delicate filling, fresh blueberries, and a mouthwatering jam. I could have probably eaten a dozen Also, Zach was a GREAT server. All of our questions were answered, recommendations were spot-on, and he was just fun!

Still sucks....Better beer at Spinx, better pizza on the frozen section at Walmart...leave me alone about Costal Crust!

Poorly prepared food, ordered two pizza's and Brussel sprouts as an appetizer, one pizza came out, waited 10 minutes on the appetizer and second pizza. Waitress was attentive, but clueless about proper service. Extremely over priced for cold, under cooked pizza with minimal toppings. I would suggest Tony's Pizza in the frozen section at Walmart.

Nice outdoor seating on patio with a great breeze, excellent service by very friendly and informative waiter Will and new trainee Ahna. First visit to CC, excellent heaping Caesar salad , enough for both of us, pepperoni pizza, a few beers. Very nice experience overall. WILL BE BACK

So happy that they are in TR now. I feel like I manifested this since we frequent the west GVL location often. These were my selections. They will not disappoint!

Food is always great. Love the pizza combos and the salads are always fresh. They have a nice beer and wine selection. Love the patio seating.

Coastal Crust is delicious! From the apps, to salads and pizza, everything is fresh and delicious. The prices are expensive but I do feel the quality of the food is good and you get a solid portion size. I also really enjoyed the restaurant itself. It's so pretty and well designed. Only 1 suggestion - Can you add a daily soup? That would be fantastic for a soup + salad option.

Service was fine. Seating is very uncomfortable. Pizza was fine. All just very underwhelming considering the expense. I think this will likely be our first and last visit.

Went for lunch. Two pizza's, one salad with rusty (old) lettuce and tap water was $51 before tip. I repeat, this was Lunch in TR for two adults. Pizza was average for typical wood fired pizza (super thin crust). Server was friendly and attentive, ambiance inside was just average and small/tight space.

I was excited to have an alternative in TR to the average Sidewall.....esp since the West End operation made a good pie. Got a take out "Grandma" pie and it was terrible. Not comparable to the one in West End. Crust too thin, sauce far too tangy, a little bit of good Mozzarella cheese, and the then a ton of cheaper Mozzarella. I live in TR, and will never go again or recommend, nor will go to West End to waste $20 on a small pie, and Sidewall is looking better and better to me after this pizza. Nothing beats Parcheggio.
