TourRadar is an online marketplace featuring more than 40,000 worldwide tours to over 160 countries . Tours are available with over 2,500 tour operators that have all been through a strict screening process to work in partnership with TourRadar. These include large operators such as Intrepid , G Adventures , and Contiki , as well as many smaller local operators .

TourRadar acts as an agent, selling the trip on behalf of the tour operator. For most tours, you can check availability and instantly book a space, with some tours requiring full payment at the point of booking and others requiring it a set time before the departure. There is a range of durations, from 3-day short breaks to tours lasting more than 40 days.

With a wide range of destinations and travel styles, tours are suitable for lots of different types of travelers.

Solo Travelers

TourRadar Solo Travelers

Group tours are perfect for solo travelers as there are plenty of new friends to buddy-up with and share experiences . Your free time is yours, so if you need a break from your group, you can use it to explore independently. With TourRadar, you can search for tours without single supplements — if you’re on a budget — or you can opt for a private room if you prefer your own space.

Hot Tip:  As you’re constantly on the move with a group tour, it’s usually best to take a backpack rather than a suitcase. Check out the travel backpacks  we recommend.

TourRadar Family Tour

TourRadar has over 250 family tours , packed-full of kid-friendly activities and accommodations. Whether you want to give your kids an immersive history lesson about the Egyptian pyramids or for them to come up-close-and-personal with orangutans in Borneo, TourRadar has lots of tours your family will love.

Hot Tip:  Children can feel grown-up when they’re allowed to take their own luggage. Check out the best carry-on luggage for kids .

Friends and Groups

TourRadar Groups of Friends

You may think it’s just solo travelers that join group tours, but they are also very popular with friends or groups. Joining a prearranged tour with a set itinerary avoids any 1 person having to take charge of the arrangements and finances. This can avoid the friendship politics of asking to settle up with you later!

Young Travelers

TourRadar Young Travelers

Group tours are popular with young travelers due to their social nature and the amount of distance you can cover. Touring often involves early mornings, long journeys, and single night hotel stays, which young travelers take in their stride to see more on their trip. Many tour companies, such as Intrepid and Contiki , offer tours for 18- to 30-year old travelers so that they can explore a destination with others of a similar age group.

TourRadar Senior Touring

The world attracts explorers of any age, but as you get a bit older, your priorities may shift a little. You might want to swap that hostel for a boutique hotel or to ensure that no pub crawls feature on your chosen itinerary! TourRadar has hundreds of tours with no age restrictions , and some are for those over the age of 40, 50, or 60.

Adventure Tours

TourRadar Adventure Tours

The Adventure category includes tours focused on hiking and trekking, kayaking, cycling, safari, diving, and other adventure activities. Not all tours feature a rating of how physically intense the activities are, so you may need to do a little research with TourRadar or with the tour operator directly before booking.

Cultural Tours

TourRadar Cultural Tour

Cultural trips examine the history and traditions of a destination , whether that be visiting prominent landmarks, mingling with local communities, or discovering local cuisine. Some of the tour types that feature under the Culture category are historical tours, train and rail journeys, and local living.

Hot Tip:  You can spend quite a bit of time in the coach traveling on a group tour, so be sure you’ve got your entertainment sorted with these podcasts and audiobooks for road trips .

Marine Tours

TourRadar Marine Tours

Marine tours include anything that involves water, from island-hopping to Antarctic cruises and riverboat tours to live-aboard dive trips . If you love being by the water, why not make it the main focus of your adventure? The scenery is epic, the wildlife encounters can be awesome, and the sunsets are unobstructed.

Festival and Events

TourRadar Festivals and Events

Countries celebrate public holidays and historical traditions in many different ways . You can take part in the celebrations if you choose a tour that falls under the Festivals and Events category. Maybe you’ve always wanted to samba at the Rio Carnival, or you’re tempted by the festivities of a European Christmas market.

Hot Tip:  Visiting during a festival or an event can be a busy time. Keep your money and documents safe with these crossbody bags and purses .

Independent Tours

TourRadar Independent Travel

Independent tours don’t have permanent tour leaders , and you’re not with the same group throughout. Your travel, accommodation, and often excursions are prearranged, and local guides will meet you for these activities on the day. If you don’t like traveling in a large group but still want an arranged itinerary, these independent tours might be for you.

Special Interest Tours

TourRadar Special Interest Tours

Specialist interest tours are trips that have a particular agenda, such as volunteering, photography tours, yoga retreats, or language courses. These tours allow travelers to discover a destination while learning a new skill or giving back to the local community.

Hot Tip:  If you’re looking to upgrade your camera before your trip, these are the best compact, mirrorless, and DSLR cameras for travel .

TourRadar Iceland

Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall Iceland

Iceland is a photographer’s dream, with its dramatic landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and the opportunity to see the otherworldly Northern Lights. A summer tour can allow travelers to delve a little further into the remote areas not accessible in the winter months, and migrating whales can be seen in the shallow waters of the fjords. Winter can be brisk, but it offers up a host of exciting activities, such as dog sledding and ice-fishing, and you can always warm up in a hot spring afterward.

  • Includes transport, guide, accommodation, breakfast, and some excursions

Hot Tip:  It’s worth investing in a lightweight and easy to carry day backpack when traveling abroad.

TourRadar India

Ranthambore National Park

India is a diverse country of rugged mountains, archaeological wonders, exotic wildlife, and vast beaches. Stick to the famous Golden Triangle or ride the Konkan Railway along the coast from Mumbai to Goa. Booking a tour can be a less daunting way of exploring this often chaotic country  with a structured itinerary and organized transport.

  • Includes transport, guide, accommodation, and breakfast

TourRadar Japan

Arashiyama Bamboo Forest

Japan has a fascinating fusion of ancient traditions and cutting-edge technology that exist harmoniously. Modern skyscrapers loom over Shinto shrines, and Buddhist temples and futuristic fashion is a stark contrast to the traditional kimono that can often be seen in Kyoto. Many tours utilize the Shinkansen bullet train as a quick and easy way of traveling around Japan.

Hot Tip:  As flights are not included in the tour price, take a look at the best ways to fly to Japan with points and miles .

TourRadar South America (Peru)

Rainbow Mountain Cusco

Follow in the footsteps of the ancient Incas and hike the famous trail to Machu  Picchu . Visitors looking for a less strenuous approach can take the train through the Sacred Valley. Visit the desert oasis of Huacachina or spend the night with the Uros people on Lake Titicaca’s floating islands. TourRadar features short trekking tours and longer, more in-depth discoveries of this incredible country.

  • Transport, guide, accommodation, and some excursions

Hot Tip:  If you’re looking to visit Peru, brush up on your Spanish with these websites, apps, and courses to learn Spanish online .

TourRadar Thailand

Bangkok Thailand

Tours almost always start in bustling Bangkok, where you can glide past riverside temples by boat and see the charming floating markets . Whether your tours head north or south, you’re in for a treat. Overnight trains transport travelers to the mountainous regions around Chiang Mai and Pai, where the pace slows significantly, and the southern islands have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

  • Includes transport, guide, accommodation, some meals, and excursions

TourRadar U.K.

London skyline and River Thames

The U.K. has a fascinating heritage and unspoiled landscapes waiting to be explored. Of course, there are the iconic landmarks of London, but many tours head out to the picturesque Lake District for hiking and cycling, to the rocky mountains of North Wales, and the beautiful lochs of the Scottish highlands.

  • Includes transport, accommodation, and breakfast

TourRadar has some excellent reviews across various review sites, with many customers referencing how easy the website is to use and how friendly and helpful the customer support team is.

TourRadar also provides a platform for customers to review individual tours.

Japan Express: Osaka to Tokyo

“One of the best trips I have done. Our tour guide, Hana, was exceptionally knowledgeable in local culture, places to eat, activities and optional activities, local transportation, etc. Her natural caring for people has shown throughout the trip. She always reassured each member of the group and that they are enjoying the time and don’t feel left out. The tour was very well planned and I feel I have learned a lot more about the culture and people of this country. I would strongly suggest anyone to do this tour.” — Miguel

India’s Golden Triangle

“I’ve had such a super time. For me travel is all about the people and Gaurang, our leader, was absolutely fantastic. He looked after every member of our group so well and had the patience of a saint. We all loved his surprises and sense of humor. I’ve fallen head over heels in love with India!” — Anonymous

Corners of Cornwall (including Fowey)

“Absolutely fabulous. This holiday fulfilled my dreams of Cornwall. Romantic fishing villages with cobbled streets. Ate freshly shucked oysters. Cottages with English rose gardens. A fantastic view of Falmouth from our hotel window. In the early morning, it was just like a Turner painting. Rick Stein’s restaurant was terrific. This tour was a true delight. We will book with Back Roads again.” — Jeanette

Machu Picchu Adventure

“Really fun tour with a good mix of group activities and non-group activities. Elias, our tour guide, was amazing. Very knowledgable and passionate about the history of Peru. There was a great variety of activities available throughout the tour which took us in really beautiful places. I highly recommend booking this tour.” — Julie

Thai Intro – 12 Day

“I honestly can’t rate this company high enough, the tour was incredible! From the moment my group leader met me at the airport the whole itinerary was super slick and very well organized, we literally covered so many of Thailand’s highlights and I’ve never laughed so much in my life. I was lucky enough to travel with a fantastic group of people who I’m sure I’ll keep in contact with for years to come. My personal highlight of the tour was visiting Koh Sok national park. The scenery was breathtaking. Big shout out to all the local tour guides along the way who made this trip so memorable and funny.” — Anne

Land of the Northern Lights – 5 days

“Had a great time on the tour, Iceland is a truly wonderful country. Our super guide, Thor, was very knowledgable about all the sites we visited and also the history of Iceland and its folklore. Was especially nice to stay in the ÁrhĂșs Cabins, 100km from Reykjavik. I look forward to making a return trip to Iceland as soon as I can. Highly recommended.” — Allan

TourRadar Deals Page

TourRadar has a Deals page that features regular offers for early bird and last-minute savings . You can also find 2-for-1 deals if you’re planning to travel with your partner or friend.

If you find a quote cheaper with another travel company, TourRadar offers a price match guarantee , provided all of the details, terms, and conditions are the same. To submit a price match query, email a screenshot of the offer to [email protected] .

Very few tour operators offer referral programs and loyalty programs, which can often give the benefit of booking direct. With TourRadar, you can earn unlimited travel credits to use toward future tours.

Sign up to TourRadar’s referral program, and when your friends book using your referral link, they’ll receive 5% off their purchase  and you’ll receive the same value in travel credits . The more friends you refer, the more credit you receive. You can use this immediately on your next booking, or let the credit accumulate for a more significant discount on a future booking.

Students are eligible to receive 5% off bookings with Student Beans used to verify your student status.

Occasionally, you can find TourRadar promo codes available on websites such as RetailMeNot . These codes usually provide 5% off a booking , and you can input the code in the TourRadar Savings section when checking out.

TourRadar doesn’t provide travel insurance but recommends booking this with World Nomads .

TourRadar is a great platform for searching for what tours are available to a particular destination and comparing prices across various tour operators. Rather than just considering the big players such as Intrepid or Contiki , you also have visibility of smaller local operators that often come with lower prices.

Prices are set by the tour operator rather than TourRadar, but some of the tour pages lack information on the inclusions of an itinerary — it’s worth visiting the tour operator’s website directly to verify details before booking.

It’s always nice to be rewarded for loyalty or friend referrals, and TourRadar has a generous referral program with unlimited potential to earn travel credits towards your bookings.

Kate was exceptional

Kate was exceptional. So nice to actually talk to someone especially after the useless on line chat I had just had. She was so helpful and knowledgable and we could book both cruises.

Very responsive and helpful customer

Very responsive and helpful customer services.. booking for odd number of people on website was not straight forward, it keep asking for 2 + 1 with single person supplement. However the booking link sent by customer service does not have that problem.

Date of experience : June 10, 2024

Replies were quick

Replies were quick. Booking was smooth and easy. The variety of tours made the decision a bit difficult but my tour looks to cover a good mix of landscape, animals and culture.

Date of experience : June 11, 2024

Choosing the tour

Choosing the tour, choosing the dates and reserving for 1 person with individual room were all simple and easy. Reasonable insurance price. I hope my travel experience will be as great as the booking experience.

Big Texan Adventure

Had a great time on the tour. Saw lots more than what was stated in the itinerary. The driver and tour guides were very knowledgeable. If time permitted, tried to fit in wee extra stop offs that were of interest. ie 9\11 memorial. The driver was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. We were all given advice at every place we stayed at. Information about the area, the culture and about our safety while on free time. With reference to the review by David. I object to him using our attempted mugging experience to give the tour company a bad review. It was something that could of happened anywhere home or abroad. We were on free time, we were ok, we weren't harmed. It certainly did not spoil or affect my holiday in any way. Plus this did not happen on the Big Texan Adventure. Great holiday enjoyed every minute. Made some good friends too. Thank you Travelling Time

Date of experience : May 17, 2024

Hi Leigh, Thank you for sharing your experience. We're thrilled you had a great time on the trip and appreciated your driver and guides. We're also glad to hear you were unharmed in the incident you mentioned and that it did not spoil your holiday. We will be sure to provide this feedback to your operator and look forward to welcoming you on another adventure soon! Kind regards, The TourRadar Team

Very good ! Helped with everything, couldn’t of done it with out the phone helper . Made me so glad to have it all taken care of, wonderful to have help from a real person 😉

I’ve never used TourRadar before

I’ve never used TourRadar before, and I was getting frustrated when I was not hearing from companies when I used their own websites. I understand now I can use Tour Radar to communicate directly with tour companies. Kerem with Altinkum has been so responsive and worked with me to design a plan that would fit our schedule. Has been great!

NOT magic, seriously boring

This is about an over hyped tour called "Magic of the Fjords". Over hyped - sitting on a ferry boat as it chugs along the fjords, looking out through spray soaked windows is as boring as hell. However the hotels were good, with huge self service spreads, but sadly not one offered marmalade for breakfast. The food tour in Bergen should be avoided - just a repetition of the morning tour with a stodgy fish cake thrown in. A total waste of time and money. The funicular was good, but very hard to find because there is no signage - we just kept asking. The train journeys were much better. Most annoying of all was the failure to take care of you luggage - you were left to hump it your self unless you took the option to have any large suitcase sent on in advance from Bergen to Oslo, at a cost of 600 NOK, but then you lost access to its contents for 4 days. This should have been made clear in the original promotion. Oslo we enjoyed, but mainly for the things we organized for ourselves. Overall a tour worth going on, but it could be made so much better with a bit of effort, and more accurate and comprehensive upfront information.

Date of experience : June 01, 2024

Website very easy to navigate

Website very easy to navigate. However, I did experience an issue with the button to move to get the number of days I was looking at. Maybe want to look at that. Other than that all was good.

Travelling Time - The Big Texan Adventure

I realised from the start that this was very much a transport tour from A to B to C. No information provided on any place we were visiting. No welcome meeting or safety guidance. A mugging incident occurred with two passengers on the second leg of the tour in New Orleans in the early hours which might have been prevented with just some cursory advance local knowledge. The company advised me the driver was responsible for safety advice (The driver was brilliant with everybody) Travelling time replied to my complaint that safety briefings may have been missed! Yes they were or I wouldn’t have mentioned it! I asked the tour leader for some help trying to plan some visits for my free time and was snapped at by her for taking up her time and that there wasn’t only me to cater for (she had a group of 11 and a deputy tour leader who was learning the ropes) We had 15 minutes to visit one of the San Antonio Missions - barely enough time to get off and back on the bus - followed by a 40 minutes stop at Walgreens! When I complained and I felt things came to a head - I was rudely told by the tour leader - I was on the wrong tour because I liked museums and art galleries in my free time. I have travelled with countless tour companies and this tour was seriously lacking in any useful communication and control for the stops we made.

I had trouble booking online

I had trouble booking online, and Maricel tried to help me through texting through my laptop after I tried twice to book using all of my information and nothing seemed able to lead to booking. Maricel gave me two numbers for phone assistance after helping some, and I got to talk to a sweet lady in Australia who did the complete booking from her end. She was excellent help, started the process so we could arrive one day early and stay at this same hotel, and even set up the booking situation so my friend could pay her half of the bill on time. I thought that was fair. My friend was concerned whether the company was legit when she learned that I had talked to a lady in Australia who helped me with the booking.

Dear Ozden, Thank you for sharing your feedback, though we regret to hear about the difficulties you and your sister experienced with obtaining a visa. Kindly understand that securing a visa is the responsibility of each individual traveller as restrictions can vary. We can see that your trip operator provided a support letter and advice to assist with the visa process. Additionally, they were able to greatly reduce your cancellation fees despite the unfortunate circumstances. Please note that cancellation fees are set by each operator and are made transparent at the time of booking. We hope you will have an opportunity to visit this destination in the future, and we would love to assist you once you have been able to obtain the necessary travel documents. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out to our 24/7 support team. Kind regards, The TourRadar Team

Do you want an intimate group tour or do you prefer to make lots of new friends in a big group? Does the price line up with what you like (luxury vs. budget)? Is the itinerary going to all the places you want to see?

The state of tourism and hospitality 2024

Tourism and hospitality are on a journey of disruption. Shifting source markets and destinations, growing demand for experiential and luxury travel, and innovative business strategies are all combining to dramatically alter the industry landscape. Given this momentous change, it’s important for stakeholders to consider and strategize on four major themes:

  • The bulk of travel is close to home. Although international travel might draw headlines, stakeholders shouldn’t neglect the big opportunities in their backyards. Domestic travel still represents the bulk of travel spending, and intraregional tourism is on the rise.
  • Consumers increasingly prioritize travel—when it’s on their own terms. Interest in travel is booming, but travelers are no longer content with a one-size-fits-all experience. Individual personalization might not always be practical, but savvy industry players can use segmentation and hypothesis-driven testing to improve their value propositions. Those that fail to articulate target customer segments and adapt their offerings accordingly risk getting left behind.
  • The face of luxury travel is changing. Demand for luxury tourism and hospitality is expected to grow faster than any other travel segment today—particularly in Asia. It’s crucial to understand that luxury travelers don’t make up a monolith. Segmenting by age, nationality, and net worth can reveal varied and evolving preferences and behaviors.
  • As tourism grows, destinations will need to prepare to mitigate overcrowding. Destinations need to be ready to handle the large tourist flows of tomorrow. Now is the time for stakeholders to plan, develop, and invest in mitigation strategies. Equipped with accurate assessments of carrying capacities and enhanced abilities to gather and analyze data, destinations can improve their transportation and infrastructure, build tourism-ready workforces, and preserve their natural and cultural heritages.

Now boarding: Faces, places, and trends shaping tourism in 2024

Global travel is back and buzzing. The amount of travel fell by 75 percent in 2020; however, travel is on its way to a full recovery by the end of 2024. More regional trips, an emerging population of new travelers, and a fresh set of destinations are powering steady spending in tourism.

There’s no doubt that people still love to travel and will continue to seek new experiences in new places. But where will travelers come from, and where will they go?

We share a snapshot of current traveler flows, along with estimates for growth through 2030.

The way we travel now

Which trends are shaping traveler sentiment now? What sorts of journeys do today’s travelers dream about? How much are they willing to spend on their trips? And what should industry stakeholders do to adapt to the traveler psychology of the moment?

To gauge what’s on the minds of present-day travelers, we surveyed more than 5,000 of them. The findings reveal disparate desires, generational divides, and a newly emerging set of traveler archetypes.

Updating perceptions about today’s luxury traveler

Demand for luxury tourism and hospitality is expected to grow faster than for any other segment. This growth is being powered in part by a large and expanding base of aspiring luxury travelers with net worths between $100,000 and $1 million, many of whom are younger and increasingly willing to spend larger shares of their wealth on upscale travel options. The increase is also a result of rising wealth levels in Asia.

We dug deeper into this ongoing evolution by surveying luxury travelers around the globe about their preferences, plans, and expectations. Some widely held notions about luxury travelers—such as how much money they have, how old they are, and where they come from—could be due for reexamination.

Destination readiness: Preparing for the tourist flows of tomorrow

As global tourism grows, it will be crucial for destinations to be ready. How can the tourism ecosystem prepare to host unprecedented volumes of visitors while managing the challenges that can accompany this success? A large flow of tourists, if not carefully channeled, can encumber infrastructure, harm natural and cultural attractions, and frustrate locals and visitors alike.

Now is the time for tourism stakeholders to combine their thinking and resources to look for better ways to handle the visitor flows of today while properly preparing themselves for the visitor flows of tomorrow. We offer a diagnostic that destinations can use to spot early-warning signs about tourism concentration, along with suggestions for funding mechanisms and strategies to help maximize the benefits of tourism while minimizing its negative impacts.

Six trends shaping new business models in tourism and hospitality

As destinations and source markets have transformed over the past decade, tourism and hospitality companies have evolved, too. Accommodation, home sharing, cruises, and theme parks are among the sectors in which new approaches could present new opportunities. Stakeholders gearing up for new challenges should look for business model innovations that will help sustain their hard-won growth—and profits.

Unbundling offerings, cross-selling distinctive experiences, and embracing data-powered strategies can all be winning moves. A series of insight-driven charts reveal significant trends and an outlook on the future.

Enjoy spectacular alpine views and a thrilling ride on these top-rated excursions.

The Best Colorado Snowmobile Tours

The same weather and terrain that make the Centennial State a skiing destination also make it a popular place for another winter activity: snowmobiling. With the help of traveler input and expert opinion, U.S. News identified the following Colorado snowmobile tours – all of which have knowledgeable and skilled guides – as the best available.

Like Colorado ski resort season, snowmobiling season typically runs from November to April, but specific tour companies' schedules may differ. Be aware that age restrictions for snowmobile operators and passengers vary among tour companies. And be sure to dress for the cold as most companies do not provide boots, scarves, neck gaiters, goggles or other gear beyond helmets.

Vail: Sage Outdoor Adventures – Adventure Snowmobile Tour

In addition to private tours, Sage Outdoor Adventures also offers a Performance Snowmobile Tour, which travels a longer distance and costs more. Sage Outdoor Adventures encourages tour-takers to use their own transportation to reach their base lodge in Wolcott (about 30 miles west of Vail), but can provide pickup service in Avon, Beaver Creek or Vail at an additional charge. Note: Anyone younger than 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Hanson announces 2024 tour with phantom planet. get tickets today.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Isaac (L), Zac and Taylor Hanson sing together in concert.

Hanson isn’t above a clever gimmick.

The ’90s trio behind the unforgettable cultural sensation “Mmmbop” just announced that they’re taking off on their ‘Underneath Experience Tour’ this fall. They’ll play their 2004 album “Underneath” in its entirety two nights in a row at venues all over North America on the run.

That’s not all, though.

Each night will be wholly different ‘Underneath Experience’ experiences.

On night one, Taylor, Isaac and Zac will perform an acoustic version of the 13-song record along with special guest Matthew Sweet. To sweeten the deal, all “night one” shows will be followed by an afterparty DJ’d by Taylor.

After that, they’ll return to the same venue the following night for an electric set accompanied by Phantom Planet.

And, yes, they’ll bring their unconventional tour to New York City.

Their first night (aka the acoustic set) goes down at Palladium Times Square on Wednesday, Oct. 16 . The brothers will fire up the amps for their electric night two on Thursday, Oct. 17 .

Can’t wait?

Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Friday, June 14.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Hanson tour schedule 2024

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found below.

“Underneath”

The 13-track 2004 record is a departure from the boy band’s well-documented bubblegum pop sound.

Over 54 minutes, they lean into hard-charging yet harmonious rock, jangly indie pop, soaring ballads and radio friendly jams about misery all while wearing their earnest hearts on their sleeves.

Undeniable highlights include the infectious opening track “Strong Enough To Break,” shiny, Hall and Oates-esque “Lost Without Each Other” and energetic “Get Up & Go.”

Don’t skip the horn-heavy “Crazy Beautiful” either. While Hanson clearly tried to escape the “Mmmbop” sound, you can hear a bit of the undeniably catchy hit in there.

To hear the record in full, you can find “Underneath” here .

Hanson special guests

Planning on basing whether you attend night one or two on the special guest?

If that’s the case, you can hear each act’s most streamed song on Spotify below to help inform your choice.

Matthew Sweet: “Girlfriend”

Phantom Planet: “California”
