Boston / cape cod / Chicago

Our holiday was expertly arranged by trail finders . Flights all well coordinated and hotel in Boston was really fun , quirky, well located and perfect for our needs . We had a fantastic time but with one disappointment being the hotel in cape cod . The Hyannis harbour hotel booked , promised a relaxing base , with pool indoor and outdoor , harbour views Restaurants and bar on site . In reality it was being refurbished and we were given a room in the annexe overlooking the building work . No pool , restaurant or bar was open. We were given no notification that this would be the case . I would suggest Trailfinders take this hotel off their list for the time being . On our return to Boston to stay the night at Boston airport hotel we were also a bit annoyed that “airport”hotel was actually several miles from airport and cost us an expensive taxi ride to get to as courtesy shuttle bus could not be contacted . Aside from that we had a fabulous time . These points are purely for advise for future travelers.

Review of your Amalfi coast 6-13 Oct

Enjoyable - hotel: food was good but little variety of protein for my wife who is vegetarian (eg, lack of nuts and legumes). With 4 groups at the same time the dining room was very noisy. Room: we had a room for three people, far too small and totally inadequate storage space for three. We therefore had to book a second room, and that had to be a double room, and cost a double rate, and also we had to revert to sharing in the three room on the Wednesday). Guide: ok, friendly and informed, but, as constructive suggestions: on walks and transport he sometimes could not be heard by all or spoke to a few close to him. It would have been nice to have a group photo!!! Briefings were sometimes given in venues where there were over 40 other people making noise. People could not hear. Other places were available. Often important information, particularly changes, was not given to all and was passed around by rumour. Information on specific days could have been given in writing, or if all had phones, electronically. ViewTrail: took much work to find out information. At times statements within sections were nothing to do with the button clicked.

We have had the holiday of a lifetime and Trailfinders put together an itinerary that was very involved but worked perfectly at every stage. From the time we flew from Heathrow to San Diego and then a few days later from San Diego to Denver to pick up the Rocky Mountaineer train to take the two day trip to Moab. We were booked on every flight with our seats already allotted. The Crawford Hotel in Denver was excellent and we would go there again. The train ride was fantastic with first class service all the way through and impeccable service and refreshments and nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we were kept informed about everything we were seeing from the train. After a stop off in Moab, we had a hire car to Salt Lake City and the flight back to San Diego and again we had no hold-ups at the airport and they knew we were booked in. I can’t wait to use Trailfinders again for our next adventure!

If I could, I would give Holly more than 5 stars. She is exceptionally patient, friendly, and very informative. Holly was available exactly when she said she would be and kept her promise made the day before we paid for our flights. This level of 10-star customer service is something the UK service industry often lacks, but Holly is truly carrying the torch.

Veteran traveller…

Miami was very experienced in relation to my queries. She was able to guide me through my ideas to come up with a fully costed holiday plan. After two attempts and three phone calls we came to a mutual plan. Thank you once again and should like to say that I am a long time customer who fully Appreciates Trailfinders reassurance when travelling.

Uzbekistan here we come!

We walked in and were dealt with promptly. We were able to set out what we were looking for and discuss options. It only took just over an hour to nail down the fine detail and get flights, hotels and 99% of our next adventure mapped out. Deposit paid and some further research to do, but a very satisfactory trip into Trailfinders.

The whole process was quick efficient and easy. Kate looked everything up at the time, adjusted times, dates and flights to accommodate our evolving plans and could add local knowledge as well. Hard to see how it could have been better to be honest - thanks so much!

Excellent service

Excellent service. Paul did a top job in combining two holiday packages together to make our bucket-lister up. Everything ran very smoothly, particularly the numerous chauffeur transfers we made during our two weeks away. Our main concerns were the hotel used in Sorrento, whilst very nice (excellent room with views) it was on a blind bend on a very busy road with no footpath outside for some distance either way. This made for quite hazardous entry and exit when heading out to/coming back from town, and traffic noise was an issue at times. Also, at least two hotels did not serve evening meals from their restaurants which was an option we would have liked on reflection. Overall we are more than happy and will be booking with you again very soon.

Excellent service from Adam! (Norwich branch)

Tom Dawes was exceptional in arranging our Christmas trip to Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne & Perth. The associate Steve, showed great knowledge of the area we wanted to visit, listened to all we wanted from the holiday and gave us suggestions that were knowledgeable and appropriate. Thank you to all at Trailfinders, and especially Jane Smith who put together a wonderful package for us. Jane helped me to keep the fact that our son and girlfriend, living in Australia, would join us in Cape Town as a surprise for my husband's birthday. All of the accommodation and food was outstanding. Everyone we met was extremely friendly. We were thrilled with Jane's recommendation for the safari in Sanbona. We were so lucky to see so many animals move freely in their natural habitat. We even witnessed a buffalo give birth to a female calf, which we later named Bolgerina, born on the 1st May 2024. Our camera's and phone's are full of memories which we will treasure for a lifetime. Thanks you one and all, especially Jane for a magical holiday.

Having booked for a fly drive to Canada last year with Trailfinders (right up there with our best ever of holidays), we had no hesitation in returning when we wanted to travel to Miami and the Florida Keys later this year. Great expertise and service as always

My multiple flights booking was started and completed by Erin with several chats in-between with colleagues to tweak/amend arrangements. On each occasion they were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient and never once gave me the impression that I was taking too much of their time (despite a lot of indecision on my part). Tailoring the holiday to our preferences. We were listened to and then the various aspects of the holiday were decided interactively with us and, using her extensive knowledge, Hannah finalised the details. We are very happy with the result. Excellent booking experience

Everyone I spoke to was helpful and knowledgeable. If I rang and the person I had spoken to before was not available, the person answering was able to see all my details to date and pick up where their colleague had left off which meant I didn't have to start from scratch or lose time explaining my requirements again. Hotel recommendations were excellent and information on transfers was also good. The app is easy to use and provided contact details in the event of any emergency. An itinerary was provided on line and in hard copy and it was all made very easy for us. I was very happy with my experience dealing with Trailfinders and will definitely contact them when planning my next trip. Very happy to recommend them.

Liz was so kind, polite, patient and most of all helpful. She was able to listen attentively to my requests and produce options for our honeymoon that we could discuss together. Great Customer Service from Trailfinders

I booked flights & an escorted tour with Trailfinders. A very simple process with all details then in their app and any updates appeared there. When I travelled I had an issue with the tour company and I couldn't get a response from them so had to call home to Trailfinders who resolved my query within 10 minutes. I had another query later on which also was resolved promptly & efficiently. It was great having a company that responds & resolves. I'd highly recommend Trailfinders for trouble free travel arrangements & great customer service while travelling and on my return.
