A Kashi Yatra is something that everyone desires at the same time. Kashi has been a hot topic for the past week. Kashi was previously visited by the pilgrimage, and it was now desired to return. IndiGo's Varanasi-Delhi flight receives bomb threat, passengers safely disembarked

This was the second such incident on the indigo flight in a week. earlier on may 28, an indigo flight from delhi to varanasi had received a bomb threat early morning. however, it had turned out to be a hoax..

"Upon landing in Delhi, the aircraft was taken to an isolation bay as per security agency guidelines and the crew followed all standard operating procedures," it said. According to the airline, all passengers have safely disembarked and the aircraft is currently undergoing inspection. 

Similar incident on Delhi-Varanasi fligt

Notably, this was the second such incident on the IndiGo flight in a week. Earlier on May 28,  an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Varanasi had received a bomb threat early morning. However, it had turned out to be a hoax. . This comes after a thorough search was conducted of the flight at the Delhi airport. "A tissue paper, with the word 'bomb' written on it, was found in the lavatory of Indigo flight 6E2211 from Delhi to Varanasi at Delhi airport, prompting security agencies to conduct an inspection but it turned out to be a hoax," a senior CISF official said.

Mumbai-bound IndiGo flight receives bomb threat 

In a similar incident on Saturday, an IndiGo flight with 172 persons on board landed in 'full emergency' conditions in Mumbai on Saturday after it received a bomb threat. As per the reports, the flight landed at around 8.45 am and the passengers' deplaning was completed using the step ladder. All passengers were safely disembarked the aircraft and the aircraft is currently undergoing inspection. 

Earlier bomb threats to airports

Earlier in April this year, Nagpur airport had received bomb threat, however, after thorough check up, it turned out to be hoax and nothing suspicious was found on the premises. An official of the aerodrome reported that security personnel swiftly responded to the email, which claimed a bomb had been planted at the airport, by launching an intensive search. Despite the meticulous search, no suspicious items were discovered.

Significantly, the incident followed similar bomb threat emails received by airports in Jaipur, Kanpur, and Goa earlier on the same day. Security measures were immediately heightened, and comprehensive search operations were conducted at all these airports. Goa's Dabolim airport received the threat via their official email, prompting police and bomb squad intervention following a complaint filed by airport authorities.

IndiGo's Varanasi-Delhi Flight Receives Bomb Threat

After receiving a bomb threat on Saturday, all passengers on an IndiGo flight from Varanasi to the national capital safely disembarked at the Delhi airport.

New Delhi: An IndiGo flight from Varanasi to the national capital received a bomb threat on Saturday and all passengers safely disembarked from the aircraft after landing at the Delhi airport. In a statement, the airline said flight 6E 2232, operating from Varanasi to Delhi, had received a bomb threat.

"Upon landing in Delhi, the aircraft was taken to an isolation bay as per security agency guidelines and the crew followed all standard operating procedures," it said. According to the airline, all passengers have safely disembarked and the aircraft is currently undergoing inspection.

Miami travel agency owner arrested amid claims of stealing thousands from vacationers

MIAMI, Okla. — Miami Oklahoma Police said there have been hundreds of reports that Wiford Tour and Travel allegedly took thousands of dollars from vacationers, causing some to miss out on trips they had been planning for months.

Diahann Wiford was taken into custody at the Ottawa County Jail and faces a charge for passing bad checks.

However, police said she is also being investigated for allegedly stealing money through the travel agency Wiford Tour and Travel, a company that police believe she co-owns.

“We started taking reports Friday and we put a thing on Facebook that says hey if you’ve been a victim, please contact us and currently we’re a little over 500 nearing up to 600 people that have reported being victims of this alleged scam," said Thomas Anderson, Chief of the Miami Police Department.

Customers reported they purchased vacations through the agency but never received their tickets.

Earlier this month, Discover Branson posted about the closing of the Wiford Tour and Travel agency, listing other names they were believed to be operating under.

In the post, they said, "We have not collected any money from their clients and have not been paid for many tickets purchased this week. The only company that has collected consumer money is Wiford Travel."

“I know there’s hundreds of thousands of dollars and there’s victims all over the region. We’ve been in touch with the Attorney General’s office, I believe they’re going to assume this investigation just because of the magnitude and it’s more in their wheelhouse for that," Anderson said.

Miami police ask that anyone with allegations regarding Wiford Tour and Travel fill out an online complaint form through the Attorney General Office's Consumer Protection Unit.

NewsChannel 8 spoke with Jarrett Hardwick, a Travel Advisor with Royal Treatment Travel, who shared tips for vacationers seeking a trusted travel agent or agency.

“People just need to be careful and be mindful of who they’re talking with. I highly advise if you know someone who’s in a travel agency, talk with them, and if you know them personally book with them and you can alleviate some of that concern. But again, just do your research before you book with anyone especially before you give out sensitive information," said Hardwick.

The investigation is still ongoing, and no charges have been pressed.

LPGA Veteran Lexi Thompson Announces Retirement After 2024 Season

Lexi Thompson, an LPGA Tour stalwart, is set to call it a career.

Thompson, 29, will retire at the end of the 2024 season, she announced Tuesday. The Coral Springs, Fla.,native has 11 career Tour wins to her name—including the 2014 Chevron Championship, a major, at the age of 19.

The U.S. Women's Open, presumably Thompson's last, begins Thursday in Lancaster, Pa. Thompson's best finish in the event is a tie for second in 2019; her most recent LPGA Tour win also came in '19, at the ShopRite LPGA Classic in Galloway, N.J.

Thompson began her career at an extremely young age, qualifying for the U.S. Women's Open as a 12-year-old in 2007. She turned professional three years later at the age of 15.

Referring to the title of the fan meeting, Be My One, the agency described that Kim Ji-won and her fans would become one. The agency stated:

"It is expected to be a gift-like time for each other, just as the title of this fan meeting, Be My One, means Let Kim Ji-won and her fans become one with each other."

The actress will hold her first Asian Fanmeeting tour , Be My One, in seven cities, including Osaka, Japan, Tokyo, Taipei, Manila, Macau, Bangkok, and Jakarta. The actress will get the chance to interact with her fans belonging to different nationalities, ethnicities, and cultures. The event will start from Osaka on July 7, 2024. High Zium Studio has announced the following dates as of now:

• Kim Ji-won will hold a fan meeting in Osaka, Japan, on July 7, 2024.
• The actress will hold a fan meeting in Tokyo, Japan, on July 10, 2024.
• The Queen of Tears actress will hold a fan meeting in Taipei, Taiwan, on July 21, 2024.

Kim Ji-won will proceed to other countries, including the Philippines, China, Thailand, and Indonesia. The following dates have been announced by the actress's agency for the said regions:
