Since the pandemic hit the country, we stopped offering one of the most requested packages on Siargao Island Hopping: the 4 days 3 nights (4D 3N) package. The reason is that a lot of changes in Siargao’s local tourism policies affected the group of destinations we used to package together.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy Siargao by creating your own itinerary. Here’s a sample itinerary you can follow. Feel free to mix and match, or customize to your liking. On a ‘chill scale’ of 1-5, 5 being the most chill – we’d rate this as 4.

• Arrival at Siargao Island. Most guests stay in General Luna, the center of activities like island hopping and where most restaurants and bars are.
• Hotel check-in
• Soak in the island vibe. No rush in doing any major activity. Just explore the area, try a couple of restaurants or have snacks and drinks while watching the sunset.
• Try surfing in Cloud 9, especially early in the morning
• Island hopping tour. You can book our “tri-island tour” where you can explore the surrounding islands and beaches namely, Naked Island, Daku Island, and Guyam Island.
• Visit the Magpupungko Rock Pools and Sugba Lagoon.
• Dinner at Bravo beach resort
• Free time for shopping or any other activities of your choice. You can bike around and stop by the stores to buy some souvenirs. There are also activites like yoga, shooting range, boxing. And of course, who says you can’t surf one more time before leaving Siargao, right?
• Departure from Siargao Island.

If you’re planning a weekend trip to Siargao , a 3 days 2 nights itinerary can provide a taste of the island’s beauty. However, if you truly want to experience the best of what Siargao has to offer, I highly suggest adding at least 1 more night to your stay. With a 4 days 3 nights itinerary , you’ll have ample time to explore and immerse yourself in the island’s captivating charm.

For 3 days and 2 nights Siargao itinerary , I recommend booking an early morning flight to maximize your first day on the island. On your last day in Siargao , opt for the last flight back to Manila to extend your time on the island and have extra moments to discover more of its wonders.

Day 1 in Siargao – Arrival in Siargao, Surfing Lessons, & Secret Beach

• 7:40 am – Arrival in Siargao [ Book an Airport Transfer ]

You’ll have the opportunity to go on an island-hopping adventure and explore attractions in other towns on the island through a land tour. With a 4D3N trip, you can conveniently take the late morning flight from Manila via Sunlight Air (10:00 am) or Philippine Airlines (11:20 am) and the last flight on your last day in Siargao, maximizing your time to experience the beauty and wonders of the island.

The ultimate 4 day siargao itinerary.

Bradley and I visited beautiful Siargao as part of our Philippines backpacking trip in 2019.

It was an epic adventure, and a visit to Siargao was definitely one of the highlights !

In fact, we did so much, that you need to carefully plan your time here in order to cram in all of the amazing adventures to be had on Siargao!

So below I'll take you through the epic 4 day Siargao itinerary that we followed; as well as offering a few more helpful tips to help you make the most of your stay.

How long do I NEED in Siargao? 

I think the optimal amount of time required in Siargao is 4 nights.

This will give you 4 days of sightseeing.

Siargao is bursting with awesome things to see and do and a 4 day itinerary will allow you to experience almost everything.

If you’ve got extra time and you’re not covering a large amount of The Philippines, then you could stretch to around 6 days and really do it all and have some time to relax. 

Or, on the other hand, if you’re on a really tight time constraint, then you could do some of the highlights in 2 days, which I’ll discuss below.

But you’ll definitely want to return in the future to do what you will have missed out on! 

2 day Siargao Itinerary 

2 days in Siargao isn’t a lot of time, so we’re going to have to just check out the highlights. I would suggest something like this for your itinerary.

Day 1 in Siargao

Rent yourself a moped for 350 pesos and it’s time to look around some of the best spots on the island. Make sure you check out these spots: 

• Magpupungko Rock Pools (go at high tide, so plan your timings correctly)
• Pacifico Beach
• Coconut Island viewpoint 
• Maasin bridge swing 

Then head back to the General Luna area for an epic sunset at a beach restaurant (White Banana beach club is a good vegetarian/vegan option)

Day 2 in Siargao 

So you’re going to have to choose between 3 day trips.

You either take an island hopping tour and explore the amazing Daku island, Guyam Island & Naked Island, or you visit the really cool Sugba Lagoon , or a trip to the unique beauty of Sohoton.

Personally I would opt for the island hopping, but it’ll be up to you! 

4 day Siargao Itinerary 

So this Siargao itinerary is essentially what Bradley and I did and covers all of the best things to do in Siargao ...

This is the perfect time to rent out a moped and explore the island. Moped rental in Siargao is around 350 pesos daily (but of course, if you stay longer, you can negotiate a better rate). Day 1 will allow to see these epic stops: 

• Pacifico Beach 
• Magpupungko Rock Pools 
• Coconut Island view point 
• Maasin Bridge Swing 
• Alegria beach & Santa Monica Pier 

Day 2 in Siargao

Day two should be spent taking a Siargao Island hopping tour. I’d go as far as to say that this was my favourite island hopping experience in all of The Philippines.

It’s the same typical route for all travellers and you’ll get to visit Guyam Island (the private island, I would dream of owning), Daku Island, stunning water for swimming and a perfect lunch location, and Naked Island, which is a really cool sand bar in the middle of the water.

You’ll get to snorkel too, which is epic!

Day 3 in Siargao 

Your third day in Siargao should be spent on Sugba Lagoon which is beautiful.

I would try to avoid weekends to avoid bigger crowds as this is a popular spot.

But you can do the Sugba Lagoon via an organised tour, or you can DIY it.

Day 4 in Siargao 

Your fourth day could be spent doing two different things. Firstly, you could organise a day trip to Sohoton Cave.

We didn’t do this, but honestly it looks amazing and if we had an extra day on our itinerary, I probably would have added this in. Or you can take surfing lessons and get in the water. We opted for the second option. 

5 or 6 day Siargao Itinerary 

If you do have a couple of extra days in Siargao, then follow the same routine as the 4 day Siargao itinerary, but then add in that Sohoton Caves trip and spend your last day relaxing and sunbathing on the beaches.

Siargao really is the perfect place to relax, and lots of people end up staying longer than they intended on this paradise island. 

Where should I base myself in Siargao? 

Most accommodation choices are located in two areas: General Luna & Cloud Nine. This is where the action is. All the restaurants, bars are here and you are able to rent a moped easily and it’s the starting point for tours.

So, I absolutely suggest you stay in this area to take advantage of these Siargao itinerary suggestions.

Navigating these Siargao Itineraries: Getting Around The Island 

For most of these itineraries, it’s going to be easier to get from A to B with your own transportation.

As mentioned before, you can rent a moped for around 350 pesos a day (wear a helmet), and this will give you the most freedom.

However, you can also rent tuk-tuks for the day, with or without a driver, so if you’re looking for something unique, or you don’t want to drive yourself, then this is a cool option.

We drove our own tuk-tuk around Sri Lanka and it’s a lot of fun!

Day 1 - Day 1: Arrival + Check-in

Your trip will begin when you land in the tropical province of Siargao. Your private transfer will fetch you and escort you to your assigned budget resort.

Day 2 - Day 2: Free Time + Add-on Tours

During your full day on the island, you are free to explore on your own. You will also have the option to go on add-on tours today. You can book a day tour to Sugba Lagoon, a road trip to the best Siargao inland spots, or an island-hopping tour to three stunning beaches.

Day 3 - Day 3: Checkout + Departure

You will check out of the resort on the third day. Afterward, your private transfer will bring you to the airport for your return flight.

Hotel - Standard check-in time is 1500H and check out time is at 1100H. Requests for early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and fees. Refundable incidental deposit is required upon check-in. Guest/s are required to present a valid credit card guarantee or cash deposit.
