There were 4 of us and we booked 2 Balcony Suite connecting on the first deck. Our cabins include a private balcony and ensuite bathroom with tub and shower. Fewer cabins are the reason why we picked Orchid Classic as we had more private space to relax onboard. The staff offered excellent service. Special thanks to Lily, David, and Stella for their kindness and hospitality.

From start to finish, things went well organized. The team worked professionally and they were very friendly and dedicated. The cave was small yet it was a nice visit. Kayaking was so much fun and fishing squid was exciting. Food was incredibly delicious. We must remember this trip for our whole life. Thanks a lot.

My family with 2 kids (3 and 5 years old) traveled to Halong for 2 days 1 night. Our cabin was spacious and fully appointed. The balcony and windows were nice. Food was amazing and they had food for kids as well. Itinerary was interesting with plenty of activities. The staff was welcoming and helpful with the kids. My boyfriend and I chose 2 nights since we want to explore more. Lots of activities are included such as visiting a cave, kayaking, swimming, cooking class, biking, exploring a village, etc. Every activity followed a timetable which was a bit tight. The transfer from the dock to the mother boat was long (30 minutes) and not very comfortable. Delicious meals and friendly staff were 2 pluses of Orchid Class. The view was outstanding yet there were many crowds and you may see litter on the bay.

We booked 2 nights on Orchid Classic. Food and drinks on the main boat were ok yet the lunch on the day boat was not very good. Drinks were expensive. The staff was hospitable and the guide did a great job. The scenery was unparalleled. The trip to the village by bike and kayaking was interesting.

The program was fully packed so you may find it rushed and lacking of relaxing time if you join all activities. The food was nicely presented and tasty. The staff made my trip with a birthday celebration for dinner. Really appreciate that. Eric and Rum were the best. Everyone went the extra mile to please guests. Thank you so much!

Me and my husband love the classical style so Orchid Classic was the one we chose. The boat looks almost like the photos since it has been operating for years. The jacuzzi pool was nice for a dip. The staff was friendly and welcoming, Our cabin was clean and tidy. We had full amenities provided such as a safe, wardrobe, bathrobe, slippers, toiletries, tub,... • 08:30 Luxury van will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Enjoy the landscape of the Red River Delta on the way to Ha Long Bay.

• 11:30 Arriving at Lot 32 – Tuan Chau Marina – have check-in procedures at the waiting lounge. You can take special tea at the lounge with a warm welcome.

• 12:15 Transfer to Orchid Cruise by a tender boat. Welcome aboard, we’ll have some welcome drinks and gather at the restaurant for a cruise briefing and some safety instructions.

• 13:00 Passengers will be taking lunch while we cruise and visit Ha Long Bay – Lan Ha Bay – one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature

• 14:15 We progress to Trung Trang cave by bus on Cat Ba Island which is located in the middle of Cat Ba National Park with Kim Giao forest around the cave. Trung Trang Cave is located in Trung Trang Valley, which is 15km away from the northwest of Cat Ba town. The cave is 300m long through the mountain, possessing a mysterious beauty due to the geological tectonics in a million years along with many historical relics. The cave has many stalactites with different shapes that stimulate human imagination and amaze visitors.

• 17:00 Orchid Cruises enters a less populated area at Tra Bau – Lan Ha Bay. Enjoy a nice swim in the green, emerald water.

• 18:00 Onboard you may join a cooking demonstration and enjoy the Happy Hour (buy 1 get 1) at the bar while watching the view of the bay at sunset. * Option: Massage service available. Please book with our Cruise Manager directly.

• 19:15 Savor a fusion dinner made with the freshest ingredients in a sophisticated space with elegant French neoclassical style and traditional oriental touches.

• 21:00 It’s time to admire the beauty of the night on the bay, our bar on the sundeck and in the restaurant welcomes you. You may want to try your luck with squid fishing or watch a movie in the restaurant, we also have chess and cards for you. Overnight on board.

• 06:30 It is a perfect time to refresh and indulge yourself in the peaceful beauty of the bay with a tai chi session on the sundeck. If you want to hunt for dawn, get up from 5:30 to 6:00 depending on the season, and consult our sailors.

You will take the bicycle trip along the village path through rainforests and dark tunnels. Enjoy the stunning scenery of rice fields on the way. Stop at the village to relax. Visit an ancient local house, made from straw, mud, and bamboo…you will have a chance to see the local life in a valley of local people. An optional electric car service is available (at an extra cost). Back to day boat for visiting Lan Ha Bay. Lunch will be served on the day boat.

• 14:00: Visit Ba Trai Dao (Three Peaches islets), this peaceful body of water has beautiful scenery, making it the perfect place for scenic kayaking or relaxing on a sandy beach.

“         We had an awseome time on our cruise. Inside Travel provided an excellent price compared to many other booking agents. Rosie was exceptionally helpful and all went to plan. The back story ... We found Inside Travel after an incorrect referal from a family member who had previously been on a cruise. After paying our 50% deposit we then found out our family member had actually booked via a dfiferent company. For several months we were concerned our booking was too good to be true. The offer to come to our Hanoi hotel to pick up the remaing 50% in cash added to the red flags for us. As our trip drew close, we "risked" shaing our passport / visa detals as requested. Rosie advised we could pay the 50% at the port upon check in. She was very quick to handle any communications on email and Whatsapp. We were never ghosted. One the day of the cruise a driver picked us up on time at our hotel in Hanoi, we arrived at the port and paid the 50% remainder. As usual, travelers stay overnight at hotels in Hanoi Old quarter's Area at night before, then we pick up  around 8am - 9am  in the next morning (Transfer from Hanoi to cruise harbor might take around 2-4 hours, depends on tours' class you book).

Travelers also flight from south of Vietnam/ Overseas to airport (Hai Phong airport, Noi Bai airport, Van Don airport) then do cruise on the same day, we can arrange for you transfer from airports directly to cruise harbors and join cruise but make sure u book early flight before 8am - 9am - 10am. Travelers must pay extra fee for car

Travelers also stay in near cruise harbor (for cruises are departed from Halong city), and you go to cruise harbor yourself, we show you location where to pick up easily.

The name halong came from the legend that a dragon landed on this bay. The view is wonderful. Each one of scattered islands gave me wonderful photos. My trip was just a day trip and I think it is too short. Spend at least one night. The views of the limestone islands in the Bay are stunning, especially if the weather cooperates. Strongly encourage one night on one of the many boats that ply the bay to allow for a less hurried itinerary and the very pleasant experiences of sunrise and sunset views. The boats are highly regulated and must stick to designated areas, but they are enough for lots of enjoyment. Various stops at caves, lookouts, kayaking, and small beach. Very good food on board our cruise with A-Class Stellar Cruises! Cabin was much cleaner and more "luxurious" than I expected..

Took the float plane both ways to save time. We only had one day and this was the best way to spend it. Thoroughly recommend the organisation we went with..

2 night 3 day cruise with v spirit, highly recommend, magic site even though we didn't go far into the bay. Lots of other boats at times added and detracted from the experience. Halong Bay has been a dream of mine to visit for so long. It was breathtakingly beautiful and I could never get tired of the views! The colours and layers of all the cliffs and mountains are spectacular. Just make sure you find the right cruise - ours was overpriced and not worth it so do your research first! Also don't be surprised that there are a large number of boats around at night as they all park up together, but during the day we seemed to be on our own quite a lot. I think in the future this place won't be so nice as there is already so much rubbish floating around that it will continue to accumulate. Save this place by not littering and taking any rubbish back with you that you can..

This area has been a World Heritage Place among seven wonders of nature since 1994. What a beautiful spot on earth. A Halong Bay with its breathtaking beauty was undeniable and it is the most popular site to visit in Hanoi. There are many other things to do pay on the bay as well, like caving many many caves to choose from. Very helpful and informative and fun as well. 08:30 Luxury van picks you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Enjoy the landscape of the Red River Delta on the way to Ha Long Bay.

11:30 Arriving at Lot 32 - Tuan Chau Marina – have check-in procedures at the waiting lounge. You can take special tea at the lounge with a warm welcome.

The cave has many stalactites with different shapes that stimulate human imagination and amaze visitors.

3 days 2 nights itinerary.

08h30 : Luxury van picks you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Enjoy the landscape of the Red River Delta on the way to Ha Long Bay.

11h30 : Arriving at Lot 32 – Tuan Chau Marina – have check-in procedures at the waiting lounge.

You can take special tea at the lounge with a warm welcome.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay

06h30 : The day starts early onboard Orchid Cruises with Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Breakfast is served in the dining room with morning view of Bay’s landscape, then continue our journey.

08h00 : Transfer to tender to visit Viet Hai village . You will take a bicycle trip along the village path and go through rainforests and dark tunnels. Enjoy the stunning scenery of rice fields on the way. Stop at the village to relax. Visit an ancient local house, made from straw, mud, and bamboo…you will have chance to see the local life on a valley of local people.

Optional electric car service is available (at an extra cost).

Back to day boat for visiting Lan Ha Bay. Lunch is served on day boat.

14h00 : Visit Ba Trai Dao (Three peach islets), this peaceful body of water has beautiful scenery, making it the perfect place for scenic kayaking or relaxing on a sandy beach.

15h00: Return to Orchid Cruises. Enjoying swimming in the untouched area. Then, you will join a traditional cooking class. Our chef will instruct you in the making of some Vietnam dishes. Watch the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. In the early evening, the boat has its Happy Hour deal.

19h30 : Fusion Dinner is served. Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served for you by our wonderful onboard catering staff. This is a delightful meal in an intimate romantic setting.

21h30 : Enjoy the landscape of the bay at night up on the top deck. Relax whilst enjoying drinks from the bar. Try your hand at night squid fishing, watching a movie in the restaurant. Overnight on board.

End of Day Two program

Day 3: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi

06h30 : It is a perfect time to refresh and indulge yourself in the peaceful beauty of the bay with a tai chi session on the sundeck. If you want to hunt for dawn, get up from 5:30 to 6:00 depending on the season, and consult our sailors.

Trung Trang Valley is the largest valley on Cat Ba Island. The valley covers an area of approximately 300 hectares, has a depth of 10m to 30m and is around 15km in the middle of Cat Ba National Park.

Later changes or downward adjustments to the number of guests of the reservation will be considered a late cancellation and a fee will be applied as below. An upward adjustment will be confirmed and charged based on the situation of actual availability.

• Up to 20 days before your cruise date: Free of charge
• 15 -19 days before your cruise date: 50% of the total price
• 7 – 14 days before your cruise date: 70% of the total price
•  Less than 7 days: Full charge
• Up to 6 cabins
• Up to 50 days before your cruise date: Free of charge
• 35 -50 days before your cruise date: 25% of the total price
• 20 -34 days before your cruise date: 50% of the total price
• 10 – 19 days before your cruise date: 70% of the total price
• Less than 10 days: Full charge
• Up to 100 days before your cruise date: Free of charge
• 65 – 99 days before your cruise date: 50% of the total price
• 45 – 64 days before your cruise date: 70% of the total price
• 35 – 44 days before your cruise date: 90% of the total price
• Less than 35 days: Full charge

Refunds due to bad weather will be issued based on the length of the tour already completed.

All cruises in Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay which want to stop overnight in the Bay must be licensed to manage the Bay and provide safe service.

In the days of bad weather (rainstorms, high winds, big waves, etc.), the Bay management board will consider giving a license or not to the overnight cruise provider to ensure the safety of tourists.

In such a case, we will apply the following policies:

• If you arrive at the harbor and have lunch, then go back to Hanoi, we will charge only lunch service + the transfer (if taken).
• If you arrive at the harbor and have lunch, visit Halong bay within 5 hours, then go back to Hanoi, we will charge only for the daily cruise trip, entrance fee, lunch and the transfer (if taken).
• If you arrive at the harbor and have lunch, visit areas in the bay, stay overnight on a cruise, the next day, have breakfast and go sightseeing, have lunch, then go back to Hanoi, we will charge for the 2 days 1 night price for cruise trip + the transfer (if taken).
• If you arrive at the harbor and have a lunch, visit areas in the bay, stay overnight on a cruise, the next day have breakfast and go sightseeing, have lunch, visit the bay within 5 hours, then go back to Hanoi, we will charge for the 2 days 1 night price and 5 hours on a daily cruise trip, lunch, entrance fee + the transfer (if taken).

The Bay Management Board often gives notice to cancel the overnight sleep permit, possibly while you are on the tour. In such situations, we would like to ask for your understanding about it.

The rainy season from August to October in Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay often has very unusual weather conditions, so overnight cruises in the bay can be canceled unexpectedly, and often with very late notice.
