The waves rocked the Moby Dick slightly

The water was quite calm 

It was a nice and sunny day

But the nice weather didn't dissolve the shock that was in the air

"This isn't supposed to happen" Marco started

"The mist is supposed to take the individual or individuals that have travelled through time back or to another timeline, It isn't supposed to engulf anyone else here but Luffy" Marco explained

"What do we do now?!" Thatch panicked

"Are we stuck in the future or something?!" Haruta yelled

There were a lot of panicked murmurs

"Calm down sons!" Whitebeard called out "I'm sure there is a way to travel back to our original timeline"

Marco sighed as he said "Fortunately there is, we just have to travel to Kurosu-Jikan island again"

Those words calmed down the crew quite significantly

"I swear we've been to that island so many times I can memorize every single tree there" Ace stated

"Let's discuss this more in a private space" Whitebeard said as he stood up and headed towards the meeting room, with the commanders and Luffy following close behind

Luffy looked out through the small window in the meeting room while the commanders and captain talked about some things, The straw hat captain didn't really bother hearing the conversation, being too distracted by the calm waves and indigo coloured ocean

"Well, now that that's settled" Whitebeard spoke up, alerting Luffy that they finally finished with boring talk

"Where are we exactly?" The captain questioned

"I'm not sure" Marco spoke out

"It's way to calm to be the New World, do you think we're in one of the Grandline?" Namur asked

"We might be, the information on time travel is very scarce. It didn't detail the location we would end up in after going back to the future" said Marco

"So we could be anywhere in the world right now?" Thatch questioned

"Yep" Marco rubbed his temples and sighed

"I'm sure we'll figure it out" The emperor of the sea spoke out

Ace was about to say something when Luffy suddenly spoke up

"I see land!"

All of the commanders and captain turned to where the younger was pointing

Indeed there was an island, one that looked like a floating restaurant.

Luffy, would-be Pirate King, suddenly exclaimed as he looked around. The last thing he remembered was squaring off against Bartholomew Kuma at Marineford, while he was trying to rescue Ace, before the giant bear-man had hit him with his Cursed-Fruit-based glowing-hand thingy again. But if that was true, then... "Why am I getting sucked into this whirlpool again?!?" It was like he was starting all over. But Kuma hadn't hit him that hard... had he? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (A/N: Well, whaddaya think?)

I don't know man, One Piece is an odd series where applying time travel would fuck up every crowning moment of awesome there is.

Yes, but for the first few loop Luffy really would be stupid enough to fool himself into the 'it was all a dream' and "WOW every day is deja-vu all over again!' before he actually gets it.

Besides... you can do wanton crossovers like what Innortal's done with the other time loops with RANMA 1/2, BLEACH, NARUTO... as far as I know, that Xander-centric BTVS loop thread hasn't seen much activity recently...  

Also... if you guys really hate it THAT much... I'll delete this thread. I just tried it out because SOMEONE made a cameo, and I wasn't about to touch... that series that Nanoha and the rest of her lot are from.

Click to expand... nope pretty sure super powered Luffy curbstomping his way through the arcs would be awesome too. But I would definitely rather this topic stay one piece centered and not end up like the clusterfuck the other threads have become with every shonen character having every shonen power. luffy doesn't need to be super saiyan bankai vizored sannin sage with a lightsaber-wand-zanpakuto, lets stick with an old school regular in-universe time loop.  

oh and if we could keep from having every single one piece female hot for rubber dong that'd be nice too

Oddly while in many series I find polygamous relationships amusing (and for Ranma 1/2 perhaps even preferable as a way to resolve that huge mess), I really like the simple Luffy/Nami pairing best in One Piece. I hate that. It's Zoro! Luffy thinking it's all deja vu would be pretty funny. Though Luffy from that point could curbstomp all of the villains with ridiculous ease. He probably wouldn't have trouble until he hit the 9 again. Though I could see Crocodile giving him trouble if he completely forgot about needing moisture.  

Even if he didn't keep the extra power he gained over time he still has the advantage. He has both experience, and his gear ablities.
