About an hour southeast of Cleveland, Canton, Ohio is home to a population of just over 80,000. Canton has several parks and recreational areas in the vicinity and football is very popular among all ages in this Ohio town.

Canton has declared itself the golf capital of Ohio, and golf, combined with hiking or a trip to the lake at Silver Park, is a relaxing way to spend a day while traveling. Camping is available at Hillside Park, while Clay's Park Resort in North Lawrence is a popular water park with slides, paddleboats and miniature golf. Most notable in Canton, is the famous Pro Football Hall of Fame, drawing in thousands of visitors each year, as well as the President William McKinley Memorial Site, which includes a memorial, a museum and planetarium.
