About Nickelback Named the “most successful rock band of the decade” by Billboard in 2009, Nickelback is one of the most commercially viable and important acts of the past two decades. The four-piece, comprised of Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger, Ryan Peake and Daniel Adair, is globally celebrated for their career defining and award-winning hits including “How You Remind Me,” “Photograph,” “Far Away” and “Rockstar” which all held top spots on the Billboard 100. Their success includes worldwide sales of more than 50-million units, solidifying their status as one of the top-selling acts of all time and the second best-selling foreign act in the U.S., in the 2000’s decade, behind only The Beatles. Their inescapable and irresistible smash “How You Remind Me” was named Billboard’s ‘Top Rock Song of the Decade’. It was the number-one most played song on U.S. radio (any format) in the 2000’s decade according to Nielsen Soundscan, with over 1.2 million spins.

Amongst all of these accolades, they’ve also been named Billboard’s “Top Rock Group of the Decade” and received nine Grammy Award nominations, three American Music Awards, a World Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, twelve JUNO Awards, seven MuchMusic Video Awards, and have been inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame (2007). With more than 23 chart-topping singles and fans spanning the globe, Nickelback boasts twelve consecutive sold-out world tours, playing to well over 10-million diehard and adoring fans. In March 2023 Nickelback will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the JUNO Awards.

About Brantley Gilbert

With back-to-back Platinum albums and a grassroots following millions strong, Brantley Gilbert’s music has been shared, covered and adopted as the soundtrack to Saturday night and Sunday morning by audiences around the world. The Georgia native who started as the defiant life-of-the-party can still go ‘til sunrise, but he’s also emerged as something far greater: the leader of a massive tribe of hard-working, fun-loving believers for whom electric guitar-shredding, rapping, and twang can go hand-in-hand-in-hand. They call themselves the BG Nation, and when the BG Nation watches Gilbert on a stage, they don’t just see a star. They see themselves. Seven No. 1 hits punctuate his career: “Country Must be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” CMA Awards Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem,” “My Kinda Party,” RIAA 5x Platinum-certified “Bottoms Up,” “One Hell of an Amen” and collaboration with Lindsay Ell “What Happens In A Small Town.” Gilbert’s landmark record  Just As I Am  clinched the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album. Earning praise from the  New York Times , NPR,  American Songwriter , and more, Gilbert has mined a rich vein of conflict between the party and the pew on all of his albums. Instead of toiling in limbo, unable to enjoy good times for fear of Judgment Day, Gilbert fully lives––rowdy friend, man of faith, devoted husband, smitten father––just as he is. Gilbert’s new album,  So Help Me God , includes his latest single “Heaven By Then” with Blake Shelton and featuring Vince Gill, and is available now.

NICKELBACK 's history dates back to 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, where they got their start playing covers in a band called VILLAGE IDIOT , a nod to the small-town nature where they played and grew up. In 1996, Chad , alongside Ryan Peake , made the 10-hour trek west to follow Mike to Vancouver, British Columbia, where the band still resides and continues to make music today.

The band's numerous smash hits, coupled with worldwide sales of over 50 million albums sold, seals their status as one of the top-selling acts of all time and the second best-selling foreign act of the 2000s in the U.S., behind only THE BEATLES . The wildly popular smash hit "How You Remind Me" was named Billboard 's "Top Rock Song Of The Decade", which was a contributing factor in the publication's decision to crown NICKELBACK "Top Rock Group Of The Decade" shortly after.

Beyond their Juno Awards , the group has received nine Grammy Award nominations, three American Music Awards , a World Music Award , a People's Choice Award and seven MuchMusic Video Awards . They were inducted into Canada's Walk Of Fame in 2007.

Currently, there's quite a lot of crossover appeal between hard rock and country rock, which makes this tour an exciting one, with Gilbert's time spent on the road late last year with Five Finger Death Punch providing proof that such a demand exists for this type of lineup.

The run includes 35 stops plus two festival dates in the mix for the stretch between the June 12 kickoff and the Aug. 30 conclusion. Tickets will go on sale on Jan. 27 at 10AM local time at Live Nation and VIP packages can be explored at this location .

View the complete list of tour dates below and watch a video announcement from Nickelback as well.

Get Rollin' , Nickelback's 10th studio album, was released on Nov. 18, preceded by three singles — " San Quentin ," " Those Days " and " High Time ." The record hit No. 30 on the  Billboard 200 chart and is the band's first since 2017's  Feed the Machine .

Gilbert also put out a new album,  So Help Me God , in 2022 and Ross, who has one studio album to his name (2020's  Do What You Love ), has released two new singles this year — "On a Different Night" and "Trouble."

Nickelback, formed in 1996 by Chad Kroeger, is an Canadian mainstream post-grunge rock band hailing from Hanna, Alberta, in Canada.

Before forming Nickelback, frontman Chad Kroeger had performed and developed his songwriting and guitar playing in cover bands across the small town of Hanna in Alberta, Canada. Fed up of the small town life and playing other people’s songs, with money borrowed from his stepfather, the musician moved to Vancouver and recorded hit first set of original material.

Before long bass-playing brother Mike Kroeger added to his talents to the band along with guitarist friend Ryan Peake and drummer Ryan Vikedal. The name Nickelback refers to Mike Kroeger’s time spent working at Starbucks where the bass player would tell his customers “Here’s your nickel back” when handing over change.

Across the nineties Nickelback released the two albums, the “Hesher” EP and the full-length “Curb” to limited commercial and critical appeal. However the release of “The State” in January 2000 highlighted the band’s intentions for mainstream success, aided by the Canadian radio stations content requirements, leading many local stations seeking out local Canadian artists. Following the album Nickelback toured relentlessly, performing over 200 shows.

With major label backing the band’s subsequent release “Silver Side Up” was a raving success, debuting at No. 2, in large due to the success of the No.1 single “How You Remind Me”. The early part of the 2000s was a period of smooth sailing for the band. In 2002 Chad Kroeger contributed the single “Hero” alongside Josey Scott of Saliva, to the soundtrack to “Spider-Man, followed by Nickelback’s next full-length “The Long Road” released in 2003. The album reached No. 6 in the chart and was led by the No. 7 hit single “Someday”. Whilst proving popular, the band came under heavy criticism for the similarity of a number of their songs.

In 2005 the band released their fifth studio album “All the Right Reasons” to much the same multi-platinum sales and Modern Rock hits including the No. 2 “Photograph”, “Savin’ Me” and “Rockstar”. The album proved to be the band’s most popular and was followed by the albums “Dark Horse” in 2008 and “Here and Now” in 2011, which was led by the singles “Bottoms Up” and “When We Stand Together”.

After issuing a their first compilation “The Best of Nickelback, Vol. 1”, their last release on Roadrunner Records, the band released their eighth studio album “No Fixed Address” featuring the radio-friendly “What Are You Waiting For?” and the politically-edged “Edge of a Revolution” in 2014.

Live reviews

Went to AO Arena Manchester 2024

THIS BAND IS PHINOMONAL,TALENTED, INSPIRING, FUNNY AND JUST FRICKING "A" CLASS.....

There music is honest and sometimes down right raw to the core about life, situations, love, loss, hurt, emotions the list goes on.I love the think outside the box ideas they have and look forward to many more albums and concerts around world.

Every single member of this band is instrumental to making Nickleback who they are today.

Would be awesome if they had more meet and greet at concerts and singings.

Know it's hot as hell on that stage a few more tunes would be cool aswell.

This band litteraly saved my life from stopping myself from doing something stupid to myself. Lullaby is very personal to me. Everytime I wanted to give up I would play there music and saved me. Thank you for that Nickleback your amazing, talented, intellectual and sezy as sin. Between Ryan and his voice and good looks, to Daniel on drums who is a fricking God on drums but seriously who doesn't like a sexy drummer? Then we have Mike who plays base people don't give enough praise for the bass guitar and with his cowboy hat and no shirt on stage just Daaaaammmmmmm the man is gorgeous then there is Chad lead singer and guitar with those killer eye and fricking magic voice who is also fricking hot !!!

I am a fan of Nickelback and have been from the start. I have all of their albums. I don't understand all of the negative publicity they get. But I guess any publicity is still publicity, so not all bad.

I have seen them once before and compared to that show, I would say this one was not as good. But it was a really good show nonetheless. I liked the mix of songs, old and new, and the lights and background screen was great.

I realize that the amphitheater does not allow for as much pyrotechnics as an indoor stadium setup, and maybe that was the reason for less than the show I saw previously, I don't know. And the last show I saw had the band really demonstrating their talent as musicians, with solos from everybody. This one was mostly just the songs as they are on the albums, with a couple of covers mixed in. I brought my boyfriend to this one, because I thought the show would impress him but it turned out I was a little underwhelmed.

I am a concert junkie and attend up to 30 concerts a year, so maybe I have too many expectations as a fan?

Anyway, I would 100% always recommend going to a Nickelback concert. They are great to see live.

So I bought tickets to Nickelback on a whim. I had a couple of their CDs and liked them so figured I would check them out. I AM SO GLAD I DID! Their performance was fantastic. They had so much energy that it reached out to the crowd and pumped us up even more. They interspersed their songs with some stories of where the idea for the song came or what was happening in their lives when they wrote a particular song (for example, the song "Photograph" and how it came about when Chad Kroeger found an old photo of Joey Moi with a champagne holder on his head) - something I love because it draws the fan deeper into the song and closer to the band. They played a good portion of the new cd out at the time but also played the songs that everyone knew...allowing the crowd to join in and even take over singing the chorus for "How You Remind Me." Chad Kroeger's voice sounded even better than it did on the album, especially during his performance of "Far Away." This concert was one of the best concerts all around that I have been to. If you haven't seen them in concert yet, what are you waiting for??

The concert/music itself was exemplary! I think the power behind the song is excellent, Chad is very relaxed with his crowd. The color and technology on the backdrop was mind boggling. I did NOT care for the warm up band, she was just too nutty, throwing her hair all over the place. I had never heard of them and don't plan on pursuing their music at all. I will say the amount of profanity on the stage is somewhat overwhelming. I had heard before about this so decided to not be so judgmental but there were some older folks around us and I felt they were uncomfortable, the F word did not need to be used in every sentence. I get these are rock stars but we are the people who buy the music and the stage presence could be tweaked a bit. I don't think making fun of individuals in the front rows is appropriate, everyone has a story and that could be a contentious issue for some!

Wish security would have the MOBS of young kids sit down!!!

Overall the music was good, it was worth the price of the ticket!

Nickelback, the band equivalent of marmite are still touring and recording with no signs of slowing down since their formation way back in 1995. The soft-rock band have had a string of US hit albums as well as a huge amount of number ones in their Canadian homeland.

Their fan base is dedicated and have continued to support the band through their whole career and continue to attend concerts in huge numbers. Nickelback performs new material such as 'She Keeps Me Up' with the same amount of energy as their hit singles such as 'Someday' and 'Animals'.

They also salute modern rock contemporaries including the Foo Fighters and Led Zepplin during their show with covers of some of the most famed music. The biggest singalong of the night is of course for 2006 international hit single 'Rockstar' where the audience proudly belt out every lyric of this gruff track. 'Remind Me' follows closely behind, a more balladic end than expected but the crowd seem pleased with the choice.

I am just a casual Nickelback fan, as I prefer my rock music a little harder and with more edge. I actually had a chance to see them back in October 2002 when they opened for Creed, but unfortunately game 4 of the World Series was on so we spent most of the show in the bar until Creed came on.

With all of that said, I went to show with an open mind and I appreciate Nickelback's catalog. I was surprised at how much fun the show was, yes I recognized most of the songs, but they were even better live. It looks like Chad and gang are having a great time on stage. I was a little surprised at how low the sound was, I almost had to take my earplugs out to hear it, I always wear them for good measure as I did too many shows as a ute without them

I enjoy the karaoke portion of the show, when they pulled up members of the audience to help do backing vocals.

Great experience and would see them again.

Bee Movie Script - Dialogue Transcript

Voila! Finally, the Bee Movie script is here for all you fans of the Jerry Seinfeld animated movie. This puppy is a transcript that was painstakingly transcribed using the screenplay and/or viewings of the movie to get the dialogue. I know, I know, I still need to get the cast names in there and all that jazz, so if you have any corrections, feel free to drop me a line. At least you'll have some Bee Movie quotes (or even a monologue or two) to annoy your coworkers with in the meantime, right?

And swing on back to Drew's Script-O-Rama afterwards -- because reading is good for your noodle. Better than Farmville, anyway.

The band themselves were amazing, the show was great. The man can sing live, and do it well.

If you can avoid seeing them at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, then do it. The Staff are rude, and argumentative they don't follow the guidlines on the website and will ruin your experience. Also don't bother getting the VIP package, I spent just shy of $400 a ticket to basically throw my money away. I got in early but that was the height of the "VIP" treatment. There was no meet and great the was no perks and the picture we paid for on stage was done on the ground a good way away.

I highly recommend if you have not seen Nickelback live to see them, it is a great show and they give 100% but don't shell out for any perks, just get basic seats.

I totally loved the show. Had tickets last yr that had cancelled, so was jazzed to get to go. The wait was totally worth it. The show was fantastic, with a thrilling light show. And they were so personable talking to the crowd the whole show and the fact that they took people from the crowd and joked, laughed with them and let them sing along with them was totally awesome. I would recommend them to everyone to see their shows. Can't wait till their next tour here. NICKELBACK TOTALLY ROCKS. They have been my favorite group for quite some time now. I am obviously a biased opinion great fan. And love the new women's tshirts. Keep on Rockin NICKELBACK. I PERSONALLY LOVE YOU GUYS.

Okay - yet wish they would have played more of their music and less talking and engaging audience. Ravinia said concert would go till 10:15 pm and they were done by 9:44 pm. Only one encore song was played and so many of their signature tunes we never heard.

For $150 paid for 2 pavilion seats we were disappointed in lack of music performed. Having audience members come on stage was fun but I wanted to hear band perform Rock

Star song without additional voices took away from the moment. Way too much chatter in between songs unless they planned to play till

Venue said they would. ☹️

Ravinia venue is amazing - wished the

Band would have matched the venue is bringing packed rock show!

HAMILTON, Ontario — Rookie Robert MacIntyre claimed his first PGA Tour title at the RBC Canadian Open. He did so with his father, Dougie, serving as the emergency caddie this week. It was a cool story for the two-time DP World Tour winner and member of the winning European Ryder Cup team in Rome.

But it also comes with a sweet seven-figure check. MacIntyre took home $1.692 million from a purse of $9.4 million. Not bad for a week’s work and for the 27-year-old pride of Oban, Scotland. In fact, he more than doubled his earnings for his previous 15 starts in which he had banked $1,133,146.

The First Look

Change Text Size

The RBC Canadian Open had one of, if not the most thrilling finish to a PGA TOUR event in 2023, with Nick Taylor becoming the first Canadian to win his national open in 69 years, defeated Tommy Fleetwood in a playoff.

Now there is a hearty Canadian contingent looking for even more history, as Canadians haven’t won the tournament in back-to-back years since Albert Murray and Karl Keffer in 1913 and 1914.

The event returns to the venerable Hamilton Golf and Country Club, long ranked as one of the country’s best. It underwent an impressive restoration/renovation project after it hosted the 2019 RBC Canadian Open with Golf Digest naming it the "Best Renovation" of the year in 2023.

This week – the seventh time Hamilton will be hosting the Canadian Open – is the final week for players to earn points in the Aon Swing 5 to nab a spot in the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday. It’s also part of the final qualifying series for The Open Championship, with the top three finishers not otherwise exempt earning a spot at Royal Troon this summer.

Here's everything else you need to know as the TOUR returns to Canada.

SPONSOR EXEMPTIONS: There will be at least 25 Canadians teeing it up in their home country this week led by International Presidents Cup team captain Mike Weir playing in his 31st RBC Canadian Open – just one back of the most all-time… David Hearn , who was in the final group on Sunday at the Canadian Open in 2015, will be playing in his 20th RBC Canadian Open… Among the other Canadians in on sponsor invites include world travellers Jared du Toit and DP World Tour member Aaron Cockerill , as well as PGA TOUR Americas in-season winners Stu MacDonald and Matt Anderson … PGA TOUR member Michael Gligic – from nearby Burlington, Ontario – will make his seventh appearance at the Canadian Open… There were four regional qualifiers over the last 12 months while defending Canadian amateur champion Ashton McCulloch and mid-amateur standout Kevin Stinson are also in the field… Ryan Palmer and Kelly Kraft round out the sponsor invites.

SIGNATURE EVENT STORYLINES: The next Signature Event on the PGA TOUR schedule is the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday… The RBC Canadian Open is the final event for players to earn FedExCup points and get into the field at the Memorial via the Aon Swing 5… With his win at Colonial, Davis Riley now tops the Aon Swing 5 (climbing 61 spots in the standings thanks to his victory), while Chris Gotterup (the winner in Myrtle Beach) is second… Mac Meissner finished T5 at the Charles Schwab Challenge and moved up eight spots to No. 4, while Pierceson Coody , who also finished T5 moved up a robust 45 spots to No 5… Hayden Buckley (also T5 at Colonial) moved up 49 spots and is just 0.5 points behind Coody for the final spot in the Aon Swing 5… The 10 golfers in the Aon Next 10 remained unchanged after last week at the Charles Schwab Challenge, but Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Jake Knapp swapped spots, with the South African moving up to No. 9 and Knapp falling to No. 10.

COMCAST BUSINESS TOUR TOP 10 UPDATES: After finishing T2 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler remained firmly on top of the stands. Scheffler now has 11 top-10 finishes in 12 starts this season… Collin Morikawa finished fourth in Fort Worth and moved up two spots in the standings from No. 8 to No. 6 while Ludvig Åberg and Byeong Hun An each moved down a spot… An remains the only golfer to be inside the TOUR TOP 10 every week so far this season.

FEDEXCUP: Winner receives 500 FedExCup points

COURSE: Hamilton Golf and Country Club, par 70, 7,084 yards. The golf course has been completely renovated since the last time it hosted the RBC Canadian Open , with shovels going into the ground not long after the event concluded in 2019. It was a trying effort for Martin Ebert and his team, however, as he was supposed to visit Hamilton a dozen times from the U.K. through the renovation process (a throwback restoration to Harry Colt’s original design from the 1910s) but couldn’t come at all due to the travel restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, Ebert relied on virtual reality and video calling and finally got to see the finished product in September 2021. The course has 112 yards more length than 2019 and every putting surface and bunker was re-done.

72-HOLE RECORD: 258, Rory McIlroy (2019)

18-HOLE RECORD: 60, Carl Pettersson (third round, 2010 at St. George’s G&CC), Justin Rose (fourth round, 2022 at St. George’s G&CC)

LAST TIME: Nick Taylor’s drought-busting 72-foot eagle putt to defeat Tommy Fleetwood on the fourth playoff hole of the 2023 RBC Canadian Open will go down in Canadian sport history as one of the country’s biggest moments. Taylor, who opened with a 75 but bounced back to make the cut on the number Friday (after a “talking to” from his wife Thursday night, he said), shot weekend rounds of 63-66 to finish tied with Fleetwood at 17-under. The duo went back and forth over the three playoff holes before Taylor had an eagle attempt from long range to win the tournament. When it dropped, pandemonium ensued (including fellow British Columbia native Adam Hadwin getting tackled by an overzealous security guard – in his defense, Hadwin was wearing street clothes and had no credential, and he and the security guard laughed it off quickly) as Taylor became the first Canadian to win his national open since Pat Fletcher in 1964 – although Brooke Henderson won the CPKC Women’s Open in Saskatchewan in 2018. Two-time defending champion Rory McIlroy ended up tied for ninth. He won the Canadian Open the last time it took place at Hamilton, in 2019.

Toronto Music Venue The Phoenix Concert Theatre to Close In 2025

The 33-year-old club will play out its final days before shutting its doors on sherbourne street in january. in the meantime, the owners promise to find a new downtown home for the venue, with backing from city hall..

Finger Eleven at a live show at the Phoenix Concert Theatre

Finger Eleven at a live show at the Phoenix Concert Theatre

One of Toronto's longest running concert venues is closing early next year.

The Phoenix Concert Theatre at 410 Sherbourne Street will go dark effective on Jan. 15, 2025. The landmark concert venue and the 18,000 square-foot building it's housed in will be levelled to become a new residential housing development.

The concert hall has a long history in the city as an entertainment venue. In 1984, it was re-branded as The Diamond. That landmark club closed in 1990 and reopened as the Phoenix, with its own storied history. It's hosted concerts from The Rolling Stones to The Tragically Hip, Bob Dylan to Alanis Morissette. It also hosted a popular series of alternative dance nights, including live broadcasts from late Toronto radio DJ Martin Streek. It's also hosted a wide range of queer-friendly events, parties as part of Toronto Caribbean Carnival and much more.

advertisement

In 2014, former music biz executive and backer Zeke Myers took over the lease. Lisa Zbitnew has served as co-owner and president, keeping the venue independent — increasingly rare for a mid-level venue in Toronto. On the cusp of the Covid pandemic, Zbitnew and her partners reopened the Bronson Centre Music Theatre in Ottawa, a fully renovated 1,000 capacity live music venue, which also serves as a social enterprise.

The owners share the bittersweet news with a promise to look for a new downtown home for the Phoenix, with Toronto City Councillor Chris Moise and others at City Hall, as well as external partners.

"Being the custodians of The Phoenix for a decade has been an honour," Zbitnew says. "She is the grand dame of venues in Toronto, and we’ve seen some of the world’s biggest and best artists grace this stage. We are sad to see her go, but are also excited to turn our focus to writing the next chapter in our new home.”

Erin Benjamin, President & CEO of the Canadian Live Music Association, says the Phoenix is an example of the significance of live music and its spaces and shares hope "it will rise again."

“Venues are more than live music," she says. "A whole community is built around live performance, and the Phoenix is one of the most important examples of how the impact of live music venues extends beyond the artists and resulting employment opportunities. The Phoenix has always created space to bring an incredible range of diverse communities from across Toronto together, and in doing so has provided people with a sense of identity and belonging in their city."

In the meantime, the venue is planning programming that highlights the history of the venue for its final days on Sherbourne, including many of its beloved long-running nights and parties.

Five Finger Death Punch

The band extends its record for the longest streak of No. 1s in the chart's history, while the rapper earns a posthumous ruler.

Five Finger Death Punch extends its record streak of No. 1s on Billboard ’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, while featured artist DMX achieves a posthumous leader, as “This Is the Way” tops the June 15-dated survey.

The song is Five Finger Death Punch’s 11th straight Mainstream Rock Airplay No. 1, lengthening the longest streak of leaders in the chart’s 43-year history. The Ivan Moody -fronted band’s run began in 2018 with “Sham Pain.”

In all, Five Finger Death Punch boasts 15 No. 1s. That gives the band sole possession of the third-most in the chart’s history, breaking out of a tie with Foo Fighters and Metallica . Five Finger Death Punch first led in 2012 with “Coming Down.”

Most No. 1s, Mainstream Rock Airplay:

  • 19, Shinedown
  • 17, Three Days Grace
  • 15, Five Finger Death Punch
  • 14, Foo Fighters
  • 14, Metallica
  • 13, Godsmack
  • 13, Van Halen
  • 12, Disturbed

As for DMX, “This Is the Way” is the late rapper’s first No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay, logged in his first appearance on the tally. The track is a mashup of two songs, mixing vocals from his “The Way It’s Gonna Be,” released in 2009, and Five Finger Death Punch’s “Judgement Day,” from the band’s 2022 LP AfterLife .

DMX now sports two No. 1s on Billboard airplay charts. His previously ruled Rap Airplay for six weeks in 2000 with “Party Up (Up in Here).” He died of a heart attack on April 9, 2021.

Concurrently, “This Is the Way” holds at its No. 9 high on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with 3.3 million audience impressions, up 24%, in the week ending June 6, according to Luminate. On the most recent multimetric Hot Hard Rock Songs chart (dated June 8, reflecting data over May 24-30), the single ranked at No. 14, after reaching No. 4 in April; in addition to its airplay, it earned 576,000 official U.S. streams and sold 1,000 downloads.

“This Is the Way” is on the deluxe reissue of AfterLife , released April 5.

“The idea of collaborating with DMX had been in discussion for years, and it was a long and winding road to turn this particular item on our wish list into reality,” Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory said in a press release announcing the song. “He was a lyrical warrior, a true original who spoke his mind incorruptibly. We have always viewed DMX as the metalhead of hip-hop because of his aggressive, raw and untamed style. He growled and snarled, aiming to rattle some cages – an attitude we share, as Five Finger Death Punch has always been drawn to the fearless and the real. It made all the sense in the world, but today this is more than just a song; it’s a salute to a legend, a way to honor DMX’s memory.”

AfterLife debuted at No. 1 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart in September 2022 and has earned 276,000 equivalent album units to date.

Five Finger Death Punch is on tour in Europe through July, ahead of a return to the U.S. beginning in August.

All Billboard charts dated June 15 will update on Billboard.com Tuesday, June 11.
