Los Temerarios is a Grammy-nominated band from Mexico that started in 1977

During the 1990s, Los Temerarios' bubblegum ranchera music became a cherished soundtrack for countless Mexican and Mexican-American youths. With a blend of traditional rock percussion and contemporary flair, their songs consistently dominated the Latin and Mexican Regional Music charts, yielding an impressive 17 titles within the Top 200 .

Brothers and singer/songwriters Adolfo and Gustavo Angel, alongside their cousin Fernando Angel, established the band. Their debut album Los 14 Grandes Hits de Los Temerarios was released in 1983. Evolving their sound in the '90s by infusing ranchera with electric instrumentation, their popularity surged. They won hearts through singles and captivating live performances long before their albums soared to best-selling status.

In 1993, Los Temerarios began their two-decade streak of chart-topping albums with Mi Vida Eres Tú , followed by 1995's Camino del Amor. Their 2000 release En la Madrugada Se Fue earned a platinum certification from RIAA, with over a million copies sold. Si Tú Te Vas, released in 2008, won Billboard's A La Música Latina award for Best Regional Mexican Album.

The Ángel brothers, Adolfo and Gustavo, began their musical journey in the late '70s, inspired by their father's hosting of local groups in their home. Forming Conjunto La Brisa in 1977, they performed at events and weddings.

Their transition to Los Temerarios came in 1983 with a record contract from CBS Mexico. Their early repertoire consisted of organ-driven ballads, rancheras, lively cumbias, and even corridors sound made them one of the most iconic bands in the world.

Los Temerarios (formed in 1978) is a Mexican romantic music group formed by brothers Adolfo Angel and Gustavo Angel, along with their cousin Fernando Angel, from Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico.

In the late 1970s Adolfo and Gustavo Angel’s father rented out a room in their house to rehearsing musicians and whenever the musicians left the brothers would make use of the space; learning to sing and play music of their own. In 1977 the pair formed the group la Brisa which would play parties and weddings, until signing with CBS Mexico in 1983.

The band’s early releases were organ-driven corridos, upbeat rancheras and danceable cumbias. However Los Temerarios didn’t have a breakthrough until they signed with the independent label Disa in the late ‘80s, when the pair had honed their vocal and songwriting skills to a reputable level, with ballads including “Tu Infame Engaño” (“Your Infamous Deception”) and “Ven Porgque Te Necesito” (“Come, I Need You”).

In 1991 the band comprised of Adolofo on the keys, Gustavo on guitar, cousin Fernando Angel on bass, Mario Ortiz on drums and Carlos Abrego on percussion. The same year brought Los Temerarios’ biggest breakthrough into national and international stardom with the album “Mi Vida Eres Tú” (“My Life Is You”) adopting mariachi instrumentation, electric bass and dramatic symbol crashes. The band’s subsequent albums “Tu Última Cancion” and “Cómo Te Recuerdo” attempted to retain the elements which made so “Mi Vida Eres Tú” popular.

The next move of Los Temerarios was to create their own label Ángel Records, which changed to AFG Sigma in 1994, through which they release the album “Lo Nuevo…y lo Mejor”. With the label FonoVisa owning a monopoly of artists and rights within the onda grupera genre in the U.S., Los Temerarios were an anomaly in the business for charting impressively on the U.S. Billboard Latin chart through their own label.

After a pretty drastic downhill trend the band eventually sold AFG Sigma to FonoVisa in 1996, who then rereleased Los Temerarios’ 1995 album “Camino del Amor” which singles off the album charted much higher than their initial release on AFG Sigma.

The group has been consistently releasing albums and singles over the past decade which has attributed to Los Temerarios’ latin music success, including a Latin Grammy Award in 2000, a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Premio Lo Nuestro Awards show in 2005, as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2010 Latin Billboard Music Awards.

Live reviews

I have enjoyed los Temerarios since about 1991. The show itself is always awesome. This show I had an issue with the ticket website. First, the website would not allow the purchase of tickets for about a week. I finally got ahold of someone at the customer service number and it was fixed. Then when I purchased my tickets I selected the higher price 'general admission 1' instead of '

general admission 2' thinking that as in most cases the higher prices indicated better seating....boy was I wrong. There were no seats and I found out I paid the higher price for absolutely nothing. I asked around and other concert goers paid the general admission 2 price and received the same exact place in line as well as view of the show. That was very unprofessional to me. I realize it may not be the fault of the groups putting on the shows however; I do believe they should confirm and reconfirm that their fans who pay lots of money to see them, will be treated with good customer service and honesty. Otherwise people begin to lose interest not because of the bands but because of how shady the venue customer service reps are.

After half an hours worth of anticipation, for Fito Y Fitipaldis, this audience go absolutely wild when the lights fade to black and this fantastic rock act take to the stage picking up their guitars and having the best time rocking out.

They have a sound that is so commercial yet so credible. They sing in their native language of Spanish, which makes for a very cultured and interesting show all around. This of course makes you appreciate music as a worldwide language as it’s quite evident what each song is about. They perform so well as a unit with the guitar melodies bouncing off the vocals in contrapuntal fashion, and then the audience reaction interlaces into the fantastic sound that they make.

There’s almost a sort of Spanish Bruce Springsteen vibe about them with the way that they hold themselves as a band, being reminiscent of the E –Street band. Especially with the instrumental breaks, complete with guitar, keyboard and saxophone solos. Such a great time indeed!

Los Temerarios is ready to pamper their beloved fans for one last time by celebrating their 40 Years in music with their dreamy, romantic soundtracks rejoiced abundantly like “Tu Última Canción,” “Fueron Tus Palabras.” The forte of the Mexican brothers Los Temerarios, the name that means ‘an individual who boldly and recklessly takes on a risky endeavor,’ has always made a name in crafting original pop ballads, beautifully drizzled by touching lyrics and sonorous ability.

Their melodic beginnings date back to 1978 when the siblings Adolfo Angel and Gustavo Angel and their cousin Fernando Angel formed a renowned Mexican romantic initially going by Conjunto La Brisa.

The Mexican musical group crafted a distinctive style of romantic music by seamlessly blending elements of traditional and contemporary musical influences.

Their performances have graced prestigious venues, including Radio City Music Hall , where they made history as the first Mexican musical act to headline a concert. At the Sports Arena, they achieved a remarkable feat alongside Bruce Springsteen and Michael Jackson , becoming one of the select few acts to fill the arena and being awarded for this feat. The Auditorio Nacional of Mexico City witnessed their groundbreaking performance as the first Mexican group ever to take the stage.

With a discography of over 20 albums , Los Temerarios have received numerous accolades, including two Grammy nominations, a Latin Grammy Award, an Excellence Award from Premio Lo Nuestro, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Latin Billboard Music Awards. Their noteworthy achievements led to their induction into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2016.

With a legacy that popularized the Grupero sub-genre in the US during the 1980s, Los Temerarios, known for their romantic ballads and rancheras, left an enduring impact on millions of fans and fellow musicians.

The last tour of Brothers Adolfo and Gustavo Angel started in San Diego on September 15, 2023 . It concluded packed with excited fans singing along to the band's favorite tracks in Anaheim on November 23.

Los Temerarios

The last time Los Temerarios performed in Chicago was in 2019 at the Rosemont Theater, which has a capacity of a little over 4,000. Since then, the Mexican grupero band hadn’t performed in the Midwest city due to the pandemic shutdown. But their return to the Chicago couldn’t be stronger, even more so than the 90 mph winds that threatened the area on Friday (March 31).

Los Temerarios Celebrates 40 Years in Music With U.S. Tour & Upcoming New Album

Trending on billboard.

Adolfo, the group’s keyboardist and co-founder along with his brother, was less talkative throughout the set but got equally emotional thanking fans for embracing their music for so many years.

“Chicago brings back so many memories, and we’ve missed you all so much,” he added.

The band went on to serenade a sea of fans who sang along throughout the entire show, during which they performed all the oldies but goodies in the form of ballads, cumbias and pop songs. The setlist included “Enamorado de Ti,” “Tu Infame Engaño,” “Como Te Recuerdo,” “Tu Última Canción,” “Dímelo,” “Ven Porque Te Necesito” and “Te Hice Mal.”

Los Temerarios’ return to the live scene coincides with the band’s 40 years in music, which will be marked by a special edition vinyl La Colección (out in April) and will include 10 brand new songs. Overall, the romantic group, known for their wistful keyboard-heavy ballads, has notched 41 entries on Billboard ’s Hot Latin Songs chart, 17 of which are top 10 hits, including four No. 1s.

“Staying relevant in this industry is not easy so we have nothing but gratitude for our fans, we feel very fortunate,” Adolfo previously told Billboard . “We’ve always had a great respect for this career that has given us so much that’s why we always give our best when it comes to our albums, our live shows, we make sure our production is top quality across everything we do. Our brother and I also have a mutual respect and admiration for each other, that’s been fundamental for us to keep going for so many years.”

Los Temerarios continue their tour — which launched in February in San Jose, Calif., in states such as Nebraska, North Carolina and Georgia before wrapping up April 22 in Missouri.

'Eras' tour movie etiquette: How to enjoy the Taylor Swift concert film (the right way)

los temerarios tour setlist 2023

Out of the woods and into the multiplex.

This weekend, cinemas will become holy ground for fans of Taylor Swift, whose cross-country Eras Tour enchanted millions . Now, the musical mastermind is staging a big-screen takeover with her concert movie “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” which is all but assured to win the weekend with a mind-blowing $100 million-plus opening . Since the first U.S. leg of the tour ended in August, Swift has stayed in the headlines, thanks in part to her MTV VMAs sweep , her forthcoming "1989" album rerelease and her rumored romance with NFL player Travis Kelce .

Although plenty of artists have released concert films in the past, “this is a different beast,” says Stephanie Silverman, executive director of the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee. “It seems to us that her desire is that this (movie) is as much a concert experience as the live concert experience is for people. So we're going to definitely just chill out and let people enjoy it in the way that they want to. The audience will create the culture in (the theater) and we’re going to roll with it.”

Taylor Swift 'Eras' movie review: Concert film a thrilling revisit of her live spectacle

Jeff Kaufman, senior vice president of film and marketing at Memphis, Tennessee-based chain Malco Theatres, expects a similar phenomenon to this summer's "Barbie," which also saw many excited moviegoers dress up to go to the theater and post about it on social media . Dancing is welcome, as long as they don't block the theater aisles.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

"Our theater employees are always checking in on screenings and this film presentation won’t be any different," Kaufman says. "If issues arise, they will be dealt with at that time. We expect our audiences to come have fun, enjoy the film and our theaters. I certainly don’t think the film will be any louder than 'Top Gun!'"

As Swifties head to cinemas in unprecedented numbers, Silverman asks that moviegoers please "be good" to theater employees and to remember to "always tip your concession stand." Here's what else you should know about the "Eras Tour" movie, which starts showing Thursday night:

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce: Why we're invested – and is that OK?

What is runtime for the Taylor Swift 'Eras Tour' movie?

According to the AMC Theatres website , the "Eras Tour" movie runs 2 hours and 48 minutes. There is no intermission, and the theater chain notes that there will also be an additional 10 to 15 minutes of pre-show and trailers before the film begins.

How can you get early access tickets to see the 'Eras Tour' movie on Thursday night?

Hours before her "Eras Tour" movie premiere in Los Angeles, Swift announced that she will be gifting the concert film to her fans early.

"Due to unprecedented demand we’re opening up early access showings of The Eras Tour Concert Film on THURSDAY in America and Canada!!" Swift posted on Instagram Wednesday night. "We’re also adding additional showtimes Friday and throughout the weekend."

All tickets will be available to purchase by 10 a.m. Thursday, Swift added.

What is the Taylor Swift concert movie rated?

"The Eras Tour" has been rated PG-13 for "some strong language and suggestive material."

Are phones allowed during the 'Eras Tour' movie?

AMC's website states that moviegoers should "feel free to take selfies and group photos, but you may not record the concert film on our big screen."

Can you sing during the 'Eras Tour' movie?

AMC's website says: "We encourage dancing and singing throughout this concert film event, but please do not dance on our seats or block other guests from viewing, safely walking or exiting the auditorium."

Alamo Drafthouse, which famously has strict noise and phone policies, is also loosening restrictions, as long as moviegoers are respectful.

"We’re definitely down with you getting a little rowdy at the screenings – within reason, of course," Alamo says on its website . "Let’s keep it fun and cute out there."

Where can you buy an ‘Eras Tour’ movie popcorn bucket?

Swifties are eager to get their hands on any new "Eras" merch. That includes tour-themed plastic popcorn buckets and fountain drink cups, which will be sold at theater chains including Cinemark, AMC and Regal. Prices for the individual items range from roughly $10 to $14 each, while the popcorn tub-and-cup combo goes for about $20.

Alamo Drafthouse locations are offering "exclusive props, merch and themed drinks that you can't find anywhere else," according to the dine-in theater's website. Cinergy Cinemas similarly has a Swift prosecco cocktail, "Eras"-themed menus and photo opportunities in theater lobbies with life-size cardboard cutouts of the singer.

AMC will also give out free "Eras" mini-posters while supplies last.

What should you wear to the Taylor Swift movie?

Throughout the tour, many concertgoers dressed in costumes representing Swift's album "eras," whether it was re-creating some of her most iconic looks or choosing outfits that nodded to specific lyrics. According to AMC's website, "Taylor Swift Eras attire" is "strongly encouraged."

Will there be 'Eras Tour' friendship bracelets?

During the tour, trading handmade friendship bracelets also became a popular phenomenon among concertgoers, whose beads would spell out various Swift song and album titles, as well as inside jokes. Leaked photos on social media hint that AMC may have its own variation on the colorful jewelry. But in the meantime, fans are encouraged to make and bring their own to the cineplex.

What is the Taylor Swift movie setlist?

The film is expected to follow Swift's epic 45-song setlist from her "Eras Tour," beginning with fan favorites from her 2019 "Lover" album and ending with songs from last year's blockbuster "Midnights." Hits from major albums such as "Folklore," "1989" and "Red" are also well-represented throughout the nearly three-hour setlist. Then, of course, there are the surprise songs that she's delighted fans with during her acoustic set.

Eras Tour setlist: Here are all three hours' worth of songs Taylor performed

Which surprise songs are in the ‘Eras Tour’ movie?

Swift's concert film was shot during the first three nights of her six-show run at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, in August. At each stop of her 52-date U.S. tour, she reserved a portion of the set list for a pair of acoustic songs, which alternated with every show.

Swift performed a total of nine surprise songs over the course of the three SoFi Stadium shows where she was filming — "I Can See You," "Maroon," "Our Song," "You Are In Love," "Death By A Thousand Cuts" and "You're on Your Own, Kid" — all of which have potential for inclusion in the movie.

Breaking News

Music | 14-day-old vallejo boy and his mother found after suspected parental kidnapping, music | review: iconic r&b acts combine forces to kick off tour in grand fashion, swv, xscape launched queens of r&b tour in concord.

Members of SWV and Xscape take the stage to perform during the Queens of R&B Tour at the Toyota Pavilion in Concord, Calif., on Thursday, June 27, 2024. (Jose Carlos Fajardo/Bay Area News Group)

And the show turned out to be as great, and maybe even better, than fans could have hoped for, as the two trios mixed and matched songs — and, most wonderfully, occasionally shared vocals — during the course of a thoroughly entertaining co-headlining set that touched on (at least parts of) some 30 songs.

Fans who are planning to catch this tour — also featuring fellow ’90s R&B favorites Mya, 702 and Total — as it continues through other parts of the country, before winding to a close at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Aug. 18, should expect to have a ball.

That’s because, only one night into the run, this SWV-Xscape package is shaping up to be the R&B roadshow to beat in 2024 .

One could feel the energy of the occasion well before they got to the Pavilion, as cars inched along Kirker Pass Road and passengers prepped for the show with shared laughter, smiles and passionate vocal work. Even though the traffic was horrendous, causing the Pavilion to use its overflow parking and shuttle service, people still seemed to be in a great mood (even though, in many cases, it caused them to miss some/many of the acts who were listed lower on the bill).

Yet, SWV and Xscape would make dealing with the traffic and parking issues feel very much worthwhile as they two acts combined for a performance that felt so different — and so much more vibrant — then what we often get with co-headlining treks.

Instead of the usual approach of the top two artists simply putting on their own sets of music — and perhaps rotating who gets to close the show each night — these two iconic R&B trios completely sewed their sets together and constantly volleyed the spotlight between them.

los temerarios tour setlist 2023

Xscape — featuring Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris and Tamika Scott — would appear for a few minutes, running through such favorites as “Feels So Good,” “Can’t Hang” and “Keep On, Keepin’ On.” Then SWV — consisting of  Tamara “Taj” George, Cheryl “Coko” Gamble and Leanne “Lelee” Lyons — would pop up and croon through the likes of “I’m So Into You” and “Right Here.”

Of course, this kind of a show doesn’t work — at all — if the groups don’t jell well onstage. Fortunately, SWV and Xscape songs flow together like a masterful ’90s mixtape and, just as importantly, the two teams seem to like each other and enjoy combining forces.

It’s the latter that may surprise viewers of the 2023’s “SWV & Xscape: The Queens of R&B,” a reality TV mini-series on the Bravo channel that focused on the two acts as they prepped for a big tour. The two sides had a massive falling out during the show — fueled by the regular celebrity trappings of ego and trash talk — which left viewers with the impression that SWV and Xscape probably wouldn’t be sending each other Christmas cards anytime soon, let alone hitting the road together.

Xscape's Tameka "Tiny" Harris, from left, Kandi Burruss and Tamika Scott perform on stage during the Queens of R&B Tour at the Toyota Pavilion in Concord, Calif., on Thursday, June 27, 2024. (Jose Carlos Fajardo/Bay Area News Group)

The two sides eventually talked things out, clearing the air as well as the runway to embarking on the road with the Queens of R&B Tour in 2024.

The result is that fans can now witness a show that has so much going for it — from a two-level stage that offers up plenty of zippy video elements to an energetic dance team to a steady supply of cool wardrobe changes.

Yet, none of that is nearly as important as the amazing vocal work that you get to hear during the course of the set. All six of star vocalists sound great, nicely conveying the same type of emotion and conviction that fans first enjoyed way back on their respective debut albums (Xscape’s “Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha” in 1993, SWV’s “It’s About Time” in 1992).

They sounded terrific in their own individual spotlights, as Xscape relived such triumphs as “Who Can I Run To” and “My Little Secret” and SWV brought back the likes of “Right Here” and “You’re Always on My Mind.”

Yet, the most memorable moments came when the two vocal crews took the stage together, with six voices joining in glorious harmony to lift up 13,000 fans on the Clark sisters powerful gospel number “You Brought the Sunshine (Into My Life),” the gorgeous Xscape ballad “The Arms of the One Who Loves You” and the fun show-closing cover of Lil’ Kim’s “Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix).”

Thursday through Sunday. Doheny Mansion, Mount St. Mary’s University, 10 Chester Place, Los Angeles www.newhollywoodstringquartet.com/ — Mark Swed

A young man rides a bike with an older woman clutching him from behind in a scene from Catherine Breillat's "Last Summer."

3. “Last Summer” For her first film in 10 years, French provocateur Catherine Breillat — one of cinema’s foremost chroniclers of the power dynamics between men and women — returns with “Last Summer.” The movie takes a potentially tabloid-lurid story and finds the humanity in it, a sense of empathetic understanding for all involved, without losing its racy charge. Anne, played with vivid intensity by Léa Drucker, is a middle-aged lawyer who finds herself stuck at a country chateau with her husband’s diffident, tousle-haired teenage son from a previous marriage. A passion that surprises them both emerges with potentially ruinous consequences. Breillat explores what people are capable of when they let themselves get carried away and what it takes to pull themselves back. In limited release, including Landmark’s Nuart Theatre, 11272 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles www.landmarktheatres.com — Mark Olsen

4. Blink-182 at SoFi Stadium After bassist Mark Hoppus survived a cancer scare and guitarist Tom Delonge took a break from hunting aliens, the classic Blink-182 lineup returned for a well-received, pinch-hit Coachella headline slot in 2023. Their puerile fart jokes remained ageless comedy well into their 50s; the propulsive guitars and flurried fills from drummer/super-producer Travis Barker hit millennials right in their skate-park nostalgia cores. Along with their peers in Green Day, they’re one of the last rock bands to achieve and maintain stadium-star status today, and even if the new material on October’s “One More Time” is a retread to their best-loved stuff (like opener “Anthem Part 3”), they’re shaping up to be the Rolling Stones of the turn of the millennium —deathless, sex-obsessed, ever-seeking new refinements on the pleasures of guitars, bass and drums. July 6, SoFi Stadium, 1001 Stadium Drive, Inglewood, $18-305

Maurice Williams, left, and Tiffany Villarin in "tiny father" at Geffen Playhouse.

This week theater critic Charles McNulty reviews the West Coast premiere of “tiny father,” a play by Mike Lew that tells the story of an accidental father thrust into a neonatal ICU in this Geffen Playhouse production directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel .

A child and her mother lay in bed.

McNulty also dips into film with a review of “Janet Planet” starring Julianne Nicholson as a mother with boundary problems raising her precocious, strong-minded 11-year old daughter in playwright Annie Baker ‘s A24 release.

Planning Editor Kevin Crust reports that the community of Leimert Park lost a legend this week when artist, master jeweler, community activist and business owner Sika Dwimfo died at 83.

Supporters of President Biden and former President Trump demonstrate outside Trump Tower in New York.

Finally, it’s a McNulty hat trick with his third piece this week, a commentary inspired by the upcoming presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The critic helps us arts folks cope with the chaos by calling on Homer and psychoanalysis to survive till November and beyond.

A Black mask-like face connects to a life-size female figure in a black dress, part of an in-progress installation.

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art opens on Monday a major installation by Kara Walker , the first artist to be commissioned by the museum to create work for the Roberts Family Gallery, an admission-free ground-floor space that was part of the museum’s 2016 expansion. The title of the work is — deep breath — “Fortuna and the Immortality Garden (Machine) / A Respite for the Weary Time-Traveler. / Featuring a Rite of Ancient Intelligence Carried out by The Gardeners / Toward the Continued Improvement of the Human Specious / by Kara E-Walker.” The artist cites inspirations including Banraku puppetry and Octavia Butler ‘s “Parable of the Sower” and says the installation will “examine the fear and loss we experienced as a global society during the COVID-19 pandemic,” with automatons “serving as stand-ins for human experience, situated within a vast garden of black obsidian.” More at sfmoma.org .

Kidspace , the children’s museum in Pasadena, launches its Campfire Sunset Series on Friday. The museum will stay open until 8 p.m. for evenings of live, interactive music and dance. Themes include “Sunset in the Pacific Islands” (Friday), “Cowpoke Country Night” (July 19) and “Afro-Latin Summer Jam” (Aug. 9). Performances start at 5:30 and 7 p.m., and guests can bring a picnic or buy food from the cafe or food trucks on site. More info: kidspacemuseum.org

Soka Performing Arts Center in Aliso Viejo announced its 2024-25 lineup, which opens in late September with Dionne Warwick . The season also includes pianist Emanuel Ax , singer-songwriters Shawn Colvin and KT Tunstall , the jazz fusion band Yellowjackets and gospel greats Blind Boys of Alabama . The Schubert Foundation , which funds nonprofit theaters, dance companies and academic training programs, announced $40 million in grants to 653 organizations. Some of the biggest grants for Southern California recipients went to South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa ($300,000); Center Theatre Group ($200,000), Geffen Playhouse ($160,000), Latino Theatre Company/Los Angeles Theatre Center ($50,000) and East West Players ($40,000), all in L.A.; and Pasadena Playhouse ($130,000), A Noise Within ($45,000) and Boston Court ($40,000) in Pasadena.

"View From Miramar Hotel, Santa Monica" by David Hockney shows a coastal view through sliding glass doors.

A little-known David Hockney drawing that we wrote about in Essential Arts earlier this month has sold at auction in London for 403,200 pounds (about $510,000), well above the estimate of 200,000 to 300,000 pounds. The crayon and pencil drawing, “View From Miramar Hotel, Santa Monica,” is from 1970.

We would have voted for Sage or Olive or even led a write-in campaign for Sweet Pea, but the poll results are in at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County , and the name of its new green dinosaur skeleton will be: Gnatalie . The skeleton — a composite of several specimens of a Diplodocus-like species — takes its moniker from the bugs that plagued scientists digging up the bones in Utah. Gnatalie will make her home in the museum’s new wing opening this fall.

And last but not least

After making headlines for his DWI earlier this week, Justin Timberlake refuses to say bye-bye-bye to Instagram, popping up on social media to check in with his fans about his upcoming tour, which includes a date at a court of a different sort — Madison Square Garden. I guess you can’t keep JT down even though he admits, “It’s been a rough week.”
