Due to popular demand, LAMB OF GOD has announced a second voyage of its mind-blowing metal celebration at sea, Headbangers Boat 2024 , highlighted by two unique headline performances from the groundbreaking five-time-Grammy Award-nominated band. Presented by Sixthman , the leader in festivals and music cruises for more than two decades, Lamb Of God Presents Headbangers Boat 2024 sails October 28-November 1, 2024 from Miami, Florida to the brand new port of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic aboard the Norwegian Gem.

Pre-sale signups are available now with the first-round sign-up deadline today, Wednesday, November 15 at 11:59 p.m. (ET) and the final round sign-up deadline Sunday, November 19 at 11:59 p.m. (ET). Headbangers Boat 2024 will see special guests DETHKLOK 's first performance at sea, and their first announced show following their first tour in over a decade, the successful "The Babyklok Tour" with co-headliners BABYMETAL . Other live metal performance rarities offered by Headbangers Boat 2024 will include additional support acts CHIMAIRA (who reunited this year for their first two shows in over five years) and POISON THE WELL (who, in January, are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album "You Come Before You" with a string of shows).

Beyond the onboard experience, headbangers will have the chance to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime day of adventure in Puerto Plata (officially known as San Felipe de Puerto Plata),the ninth largest city in the Dominican Republic and the capital of the province of Puerto Plata. Richmond, Virginia's metal band Lamb Of God has unveiled the first set of confirmed bands for the 2024 edition of their Headbangers Boat cruise. The charter cruise is arranged once again by Sixthman in collaboration with Norwegian Cruise Line .

The upcoming Headbangers Boat cruise is scheduled to take place on the Norwegian Gem ship, navigating its way to the Dominican Republic.

Lamb of God concluded this year's Headbangers Boat cruise by announcing the lineup for 2024.

The Virginia groove-metallers just returned from a five-day voyage in which they played two sets alongside bands like Mastodon, Hatebreed, GWAR and more. And at the end of the whole shebang, LOG frontman Randy Blythe revealed the details for next year's edition.

The Norwegian Gem ship will set sail October 28th in Miami and cruise down to the Dominic Republic before returning back to port on November 1st.

Lamb of God will once again headline, and they'll be joined by Dethklok, Chimaira, Poison the Well, At the Gates, Soulfly, Exodus, Corrosion of Conformity, Napalm Death and many other heavy-hitters.

The heavy metal cruise leaves port on Halloween 2023 from Miami

Lamb of God have teamed up with Sixthman for the inaugural Headbangers Boat cruise festival. The cruise leaves port aboard the Norwegian Pearl on October 31st of next year from Miami and heads to the Bahamas prior to its return on November 4th.

In addition to Lamb of God (who are performing two sets), the heavy metal cruise unveiled an initial lineup that included Mastodon , GWAR , Hatebreed , Shadows Fall, God Forbid, Fit for an Autopsy, and a performance from the solo project of Lamb of God’s Mark Morton, with more acts to be announced.

On Wednesday (November 9th), Lamb of God revealed the full lineup, adding Testament, Municipal Waste, Lacuna Coil, Gatecreeper, Vio-lence, Malevolence, Bleed From Within, and Dying Wish.

Also on the bill, Jose Mangin and Riki Rachtman will serve as hosts, while Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta will conduct live tapings of his Jasta Show podcast.

Other activities include a Q&A conversation and photography show with Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe, a drum-off with drummer Art Cruz, and a casino tournament with bassist John Campbell. All guests will receive a signed Lamb of God commemorative item, with a special cabin photo with Lamb of God available exclusively to pre-sale buyers.

For one of their two sets, Lamb of God will perform their classic 2004 album Ashes of the Wake in its entirety.

The ticket pre-sale for the cruise is ongoing until Thursday (November 3rd) via the Headbangers Boat website , with the general public sale beginning November 11th at 2 p.m. ET.

Seafaring music fans can set sail metal-style when Lamb of God's first-ever Headbangers Boat heavy metal cruise hosts a stacked lineup of metal bands from Oct. 31 through Nov. 4, 2023.

Aboard the Norwegian Pearl cruise ship setting sail from Miami, Florida, to Nassau in the Bahamas, Lamb of God will be joined by Mastodon , Hatebreed , GWAR , Shadows Fall , God Forbid , Fit for an Autopsy  and more bands to be announced. Paid in Full Discount

Reservations made through March 30, 2024 that are paid in full within 72 hours of booking will receive a 5% discount off stateroom fare. The Paid In Full Discount will only apply if the entire stateroom is paid for and is not available on a per person basis.

Paid in Full, First Responder, and Military Discounts are not combinable or applicable to Cannonball Club reservations.

Youth Discount

Children 3-14 years at time of sailing will receive a $99 youth discount. Children 6 months - 2 years at time of sailing will be charged only taxes and fees if booked as third/fourth/fifth guest or receive a $99 youth discount if booked as the second guest.

First Responders Discount

Guests who are active, retired, or volunteer first responders (i.e. MD, RN, CNA, EMS workers, Fire Department, and Law Enforcement) are eligible to receive a 5% discount off of stateroom fare for the entire reservation. To receive this discount, please email one of the following items to [email protected]   after your reservation has been confirmed. Please blacken out anything showing your social security number, bank account, or financial details before sending.

• Employee or volunteer badge showing your full name
• Paystub less than 60 days old
• 1099 tax form from previous year
• Signed affidavit from first responder agency

Military & First Responder discounts must be requested by the final payment date of July 30, 2024. For reservations created near the final payment date, the discount can be added within 30 days of when the reservation is created or the eligible guest is added as long as it is requested a minimum of 30 days before the event. No exceptions to this policy will be permitted.

Military Discount

Guests who are active, veteran, or retired military are eligible to receive a 5% discount off stateroom fare for the entire stateroom. To receive this discount, please email one of the following items below to [email protected] after your reservation has been confirmed. Please blacken out your social security number before sending.

• Copy of the military LES (Leave and Earning Statement)
• Copy of military retirement papers (DD214 or DD256)
• Copy of proof of honorable discharge (Form DD214)
• Proof for Cadets: A letter from his/her Commander or a copy of a military pay stub.

Single Occupancy Discount

Single Occupancy discount of $199.00. Guests traveling by themselves in their own stateroom are responsible for the double-occupancy rate of the stateroom (the double rate times two). Single occupancy staterooms will be charged Taxes and Fees for only one guest, and will receive a discount of $199.00 off the second cruise fare.

First Available Program releases can include First Available Staterooms where you don’t choose your own room number or specific staterooms where you do choose your own room number.

• You’ll still have access to payment plans, travel protection, and the same great onboard experience.
• First Available Staterooms are offered in Interior, Oceanview/Porthole, and Balcony.
• Our goal is to assign 99% of these to a room.
• If we cannot assign you a room number by 30 days prior to sailing, you will be refunded 100% of your payments, including Travel Insurance Premiums. In addition, you will be provided a Sixthman Future Event Credit of $1,000 and receive priority booking on a future event.
• Specific staterooms are released when a recently opened room can’t be filled from our First Available bookings, or for higher categories like Suites if they can’t be filled by booked guests on our Desired Upgrade List. Within 90 days of the event (July 30, 2024), all releases will be specific staterooms.

Lamb of God have teamed up with Sixthman for the inaugural Headbangers Boat cruise festival. The cruise leaves port aboard the Norwegian Pearl on October 31st of next year from Miami and heads to the Bahamas prior to its return on November 4th.

In addition to Lamb of God (who are performing two sets), the heavy metal cruise unveiled an initial lineup that included Mastodon , GWAR , Hatebreed , Shadows Fall, God Forbid, Fit for an Autopsy, and a performance from the solo project of Lamb of God’s Mark Morton , with more acts to be announced.

On Wednesday (November 9th), Lamb of God revealed the full lineup, adding Testament, Municipal Waste, Lacuna Coil, Gatecreeper, Vio-lence, Malevolence, Bleed From Within, and Dying Wish.

Also on the bill, Jose Mangin and Riki Rachtman will serve as hosts, while Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta will conduct live tapings of his Jasta Show podcast.

Other activities include a Q&A conversation and photography show with Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe, a drum-off with drummer Art Cruz, and a casino tournament with bassist John Campbell. All guests will receive a signed Lamb of God commemorative item, with a special cabin photo with Lamb of God available exclusively to pre-sale buyers.

For one of their two sets, Lamb of God will perform their classic 2004 album Ashes of the Wake in its entirety.

The ticket pre-sale for the cruise is ongoing until Thursday (November 3rd) via the Headbangers Boat website , with the general public sale beginning November 11th at 2 p.m. ET.

“Imagine the sheer horror on the faces of all the happy families aboard, let’s say, another cruise when they look across the sea and see GWAR decapitating someone on the main deck of a big-ass boat filled with a few thousand crazed metalheads,” remarked Blythe via a press release. “If there’s any better reason to go on the Headbangers Boat, I can’t think of one…well, that and all our other friends we’ve played shows on land with that will be joining us. It’s gonna be a party for sure — see y’all somewhere in the Atlantic!”

Reunited groove metal outfit Pantera have announced the opening acts for their summer headlining run with Lamb Of God as direct support at all stops. That run will now feature opening sets from various artists signed to Pantera , etc. vocalist Philip H. Anselmo ‘s Housecore Records label, including King Parrot , Child Bite and more. Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
