K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE have announced their 2023 world tour, ‘I am FREE-TY’.

(G)I-DLE announced that they will be going on a world tour this year, following the release of their new mini-album ‘I Feel’ , alongside its title track ‘Queencard’.

It kicked off June 17 with a two-night concert in Seoul, South Korea. Meanwhile, the girl group are currently on the first Asia leg of the tour, with shows in Taiwan, Thailand and Hong Kong throughout July.

In August, (G)I-DLE will head to the US for the North American leg of their ‘I am FREE-TY’ world tour. It will start on August 4 in San Francisco, followed by a show in Los Angeles two days later. Thereafter, the quintet will perform in Dallas, New York, Atlanta and Chicago.

In September the girl group will go on a tour across Europe, kicking things off in London on the 9th. Following which, (G)I-DLE will play shows in Paris, Berlin and more, before heading back to Asia for a two-night concert in Tokyo, Japan.

On July 18, (G)I-DLE added two more Asia shows in October, on the 14th in Macau, China and on the 29th in Singapore. The girl group also announced a second Berlin show on the 19th of September.

Tickets to (G)I-DLE’s the San Francisco, New York and Chicago shows are available at Ticketmaster and will cost $65 to $275.

(G)I-DLE’s new mini-album ‘I Feel’ is the follow-up to their first studio album ‘I Never Die’ , which was released in October 2022. The latter featured the chart-topping single ‘Nxde’ and album cut ‘DARK (X-File)’ , among others.

In addition to the previously announced dates, (G)I-DLE will also be visiting Macau on October 14 and Singapore on October 29.

(G)I-DLE has announced a new batch of tour stops for their upcoming world tour “I am FREE-TY”!

After touring the United States in August (as previously announced), the group will be heading to Europe this September to perform in London, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, and Berlin. They will then return to Asia for a two-night concert in Tokyo on September 27 and 28.

(G)I-DLE is gearing up for their highly-anticipated world tour!

On April 27, Cube Entertainment announced (G)I-DLE’s upcoming 2023 world tour “I am FREE-TY.”

The world tour will kick off in Seoul on June 17 and 18 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium, and afterwards, the group will go on to meet global fans in 10 regions including Taipei, Bangkok, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Atlanta, and Chicago. The poster also teases the possibility of more dates and locations to come at a later date.

Ahead of their world tour, (G)I-DLE will drop their new mini album “ I feel ” on May 15.

K-Pop superstars (G)I-DLE have announced they’ll be heading back out on the road with their 2023 world tour, “I am FREE-TY.” The tour was announced with a graphic on Twitter , showing a list of cities floating in the clouds.

“I am FREE-TY” will kick off June 17th with two nights in a row at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium before continuing across Asia with dates in Taipei, Bangkok, and Hong Kong through the end of July. In August, the group will head to the U.S., with shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Atlanta, and finally wrap up in Chicago. Ticketing and venue details are expected to be announced within the coming weeks.

While those are all the dates that have been announced so far, the tour poster promises “and more” will be coming. On the fan community app Weverse, a statement from company Cube Entertainment reads, “further details will be announced at a later date. Please look forward to it.”

This is the girl group’s second world tour, following last year’s “Just Me ()I-DLE” tour, which consisted of ten dates in Asia, eight in North America, and three in Latin America. Speaking to Elle last December, member Minnie reflected on the experience, saying, “Since it was our first world tour, we worked hard, and it was our first time meeting our fans worldwide. The atmosphere was so different, and the energy was so good that we gained a lot of strength. We especially had a concert in my hometown [in] Thailand, which was my dream.”

When asked about her hopes for their next tour, she continued, “We want to visit countries that we could not visit on our first world tour and meet more [of] Neverland [our fanbase]. We will prepare better music and show a better performance and music, so please look forward to it.”

Rolemodel Entertainment Group Limited (REG) is thrilled to announce that the Korean girl group (G)I-DLE will be bringing their world tour [I am FREE-TY] for their first-ever gig in Hong Kong. 2023 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [I am FREE-TY] IN HONG KONG will be held on Saturday, 22 nd July 2023 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hall 10. Tickets priced at HKD $1,799 (VIP), $1,299, $999 and $699. All $1,799(VIP) ticket holders are entitled to participate in the sound check party or to receive one autographed poster of (G)I-DLE. The girl group from CUBE Entertainment, (G)I-DLE , made their debut successfully in 2018 with their title song “LATATA” of their first mini-album I am . Known as the "Queen of Concepts", they released their first regular album I NEVER DIE and the fifth mini-album I love last year. The title songs "TOMBOY" and "Nxde" swept the world's major music charts and the MVs of those 2 songs earned more than 200 million views on YouTube, which strongly proves their high popularity.

(G)I-DLE announced their comeback with the release of their 6th mini-album I feel on 15 th May, celebrating the 5th anniversary of the group's debut. At the same time, they also announced their new world tour concert [I am FREE-TY], which will be kicked off in June starting from Seoul then followed by Asia and the United States. • For audience who would like to re-enter the venue, please present the re-entry token together with the original concert admission ticket to our admission staff. AWE reserves the right to amend the admission procedures from time to time.

LIV Golf will make its Tennessee debut this week at The Grove, bringing its party atmosphere, huge cash payouts and past major champions with it to Nashville. 

Last week’s U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau is in the field , along with others playing for a $25 million total purse. 

Casual fans might be unfamiliar with LIV, an upstart league formed in 2021 through backing from the Public Investment Fund (PIF), a wealth fund of Saudi Arabia. 

LIV is billed as a laid-back version of men’s professional golf with its motto “golf, but louder.” Music blares on the course during play. Players are allowed to wear shorts. The tournaments are shorter — 54 holes, no cut — than those on the PGA Tour and there’s a team competition within the individual competition. 

It will seem like a completely different event to spectators who have attended the PGA Korn Ferry Tour's Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation, which has been held at The Grove for the past three years. 

Here’s what you need to know about LIV Golf Nashville 2024. 

What is LIV Golf’s rivalry with PGA Tour?

LIV was formed in 2021, held its first event in 2022 and has since become a bitter rival of the PGA Tour. 

Through billions of dollars of funding from the PIF, LIV has signed some of the PGA Tour’s top young players and major winners, such as DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm. 

Players who left the PGA Tour for LIV were suspended and no longer receive Official World Golf Ranking Points, excluding some from major championship exemptions. Others are still eligible for majors due to past major finishes or world ranking points they gain from competing in other international events.

The PGA Tour and the PIF became entangled in litigation. The two sides came together last June for what was deemed a “framework agreement” that would align men’s professional golf, but no official agreement has been reached.

Human rights groups, as well as the 9/11 Families United group, have raised flags about the Saudi government’s investment in American sports, pointing to its ties to the 9/11 attacks and human rights violations.

Where is LIV Golf playing in Nashville?

The tournament will be held at The Grove , a private, gated golf community located 36 miles southeast of downtown Nashville near Franklin. 

The Grove will play as a par 71 course at 7,297 yards long. For context, Pinehurst No. 2 was a par 70 playing 7,548 yards for last week’s U.S. Open.

Escalante Golf, which owns several courses where LIV events have been played, such as Pumpkin Ridge (Oregon) and The International (Massachusetts), purchased The Grove in October 2023. 

The Grove was once home to the PGA Korn Ferry Tour's Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation. The Simmons Bank Open has since moved to Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course. 

What is the LIV Golf Nashville 2024 tournament format? 

LIV plays 54-hole tournaments without a cut, hence the name LIV, which is 54 in Roman numerals. 

That differs from the PGA Tour’s 72-hole events that take only the top 70 players after the first two days. 

LIV’s individual competition features 54 players competing for a $20 million purse, with $4 million going to the winner. But there’s a little more to it.

Those players make up 13 teams of four that compete for a $5 million purse, with $3 million going to the winning team. (Two “wild card” players who do not belong to a team will compete as individuals.)

Each player finishes with a three-round total score to determine the individual winner. The top-24 finishers earn points that go toward determining the individual season champion.

In the team competition, each team accrues a cumulative score over the three rounds. During the first two rounds, only the top three players’ scores on each team count towards their team’s score. In the final round, all four players’ scores count. 

The top eight teams earn points in the season team standings, and the season team championship is decided in the final event of the season using a hybrid format of match and stroke play.

What fans should know about LIV Golf Nashville at The Grove

Who is playing? LIV players sign contracts to play each of the season's 14 events, so barring injuries, everyone in the league will play. That means major winners DeChambeau, Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymer, Brooks Koepka, Louis Oosthuizen, Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed, Charl Schwartzel, Cameron Smith, Henrik Stenson and Bubba Watson will all be in Nashville. Rahm withdrew from the U.S. Open last week due to a toe injury but is scheduled to play and met with media on Wednesday.

When does play begin?: Pairings of three will tee off on each hole for a shotgun start each round. The top three leaders will tee off on the first hole for the second and third rounds. Friday and Saturday’s start times are 12:15 p.m., with a 12:05 p.m. start set for Sunday. 

How to get free tickets: The first 100 fans who donate 12 used golf balls to the HyFlyers drop boxes will receive grounds pass tickets for the day. People can drop off balls from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday through Sunday at the LIV Nashville fan entrance in exchange for tickets. The effort is possible through the HyFlyers’ involvement with Bunkers in Baghdad, which collects and ships golf equipment to U.S. troops and veterans.

About the music: Yes, music will be played throughout locations on the course and the course will not be quiet. No, fans are not allowed to yell during players’ backswings. LIV asks them to be respectful while golfers play. 

Party hole: The par-3 15th will have stadium-style seating with live music and drinks. Members of LIV’s loyalty program LIV X are eligible for $100,000 if/when a LIV player makes the first hole-in-one. 

Concerts: Michael Marcagi will perform live at the Fan Village at 5 p.m. Friday. Dan + Shay will perform after Saturday’s round is complete. 

Parking: Parking is free at Renaissance Festival (2135 Newcastle Rd, Arrington, TN 37014) beginning at 9 a.m. all three days, with complimentary shuttles provided to and from the golf course. Rideshare can only drop off/pick up at Page Middle School (6262 Arno Rd. College Grove, TN 37046).

Gates open at 10:00 a.m. all three days.

“I Am: Celine Dion,” directed by Oscar nominee Irene Taylor, will premiere Tuesday, June 25 on Prime Video. Celine Dion ‘s highly anticipated documentary “ I Am: Celine Dion ,” detailing the Canadian singer’s diagnosis with Stiff Person Syndrome, is now available to stream on Prime Video.

After postponing several of her European tour dates in December 2022, Dion announced that she was diagnosed with the life-altering neurological disorder, that creates spasms that affect her ability to walk and use her vocal cords to sing the way she used to.

Dion made her first public appearance since announcing her diagnosis at the 2024 Grammy s, during which she presented the album of the year award to Taylor Swift for “Midnights.” Speaking on stage, she said “those who have been blessed enough to be here at the Grammy Awards must never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world.”

In his review of the documentary , Variety film critic Peter DeBruge writes that the “icon’s power ballads take on fresh resonance in a deeply personal look at her struggles with Stiff Person Syndrome.”

“Like all things Celine Dion, ‘I Am’ feels intensely personal and sincere, but also managed to within an inch of its life,” he wrote. “That doesn’t mean Dion failed to give [director Irene] Taylor full creative control, but there’s a sense the filmmaker didn’t want to include anything her subject wouldn’t approve of either. Surely, it was difficult enough for Dion to let her fans see the impact of SPS on her life and her voice.”

Trans Am brings muscle cars to Elkhart Lake to race at Road America this weekend

The venerable Trans Am Series is back as a headliner for the second straight year at Road America this weekend after being relegated to support status for decades.

Trans Am features purpose-built machines with muscle car roots racing separately in the main division and then a more restrictive category, TA2. The hottest driver in the series is Paul Menard , the former NASCAR driver and Brickyard 400 winner from Eau Claire.

Although the weekend isn’t one of the season’s biggest for the track, the Trans Am Speed Tour provides a variety of cars and levels of competition that show off the circuit.

If you want to go to the event – or watch it on TV – here are some important tips for newcomers and updates for veterans:

Where is Road America?

Road America is Wisconsin’s largest racetrack, an internationally known 4-mile road course on 640 acres in rural Sheboygan County. The main entrance is off Hwy. 67, less than 5 miles north of downtown Plymouth and 3 miles southeast of Elkhart Lake.

What is the Trans Am Speed Tour?

In addition to two series of Trans Am sports cars, Speed Tour events encompass a variety of open-wheel series, including F1600, F2000 and F1000 Championship Series and the Atlantic Championship Series, and the Porsches and Ferraris of the International GT series.

How much do tickets cost for Trans Am weekend at Road America?

Admission is $35 Friday, $45 Saturday and Sunday, or $80 for the weekend. Paddock admission is included.

Anyone 16 and under gets in free with a paid adult admission.

Tickets are available at the gate.

Can fans bring their own food and drinks to Road America?

Carry-ins are permitted.

Where’s the best place to watch Trans Am at Road America?

The beauty of Road America is the ability for spectators to move around the grounds and watch from various places within what management affectionally calls “America’s National Park of Speed.”

Popular spectator areas include Turn 5, a 90-degree left at the bottom of a long hill, and Canada Corner (Turn 12). Over the past couple of years, the track has opened up access at the Carousel (Turn 9-10), a long right-hand sweeper, and the Kink, the high-speed right that follows it.

What is the weekend schedule for the Trans Am Speed Tour at Road America?

Activity begins at 8 a.m. each day.

Friday has mostly practice sessions with some qualifying.

Saturday action is highlighted by the TA2 race at 12:05 p.m. with other practice, qualifying and races before and after.

The 100-mile Trans Am Series main event is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Sunday, with three races before and two after.

What’s the difference between TA and TA2 ?

Cars in both categories are tube frame chassis with bodies that replicate production models.

Naturally aspirated, carbureted V8 engines in Trans Am produce 850 horsepower or more. Sequential shifters are permitted. TA2 cars weigh 50 pounds more, engines are restricted to 530 horsepower and tight rules keep costs down and competition tight.

The Tran Am race has 16 cars on the entry list for Sunday, with seven in the primary class among the four competing. Saturday’s TA2 race has 31 cars on the entry list.

Are the Trans Am races from Road America on television or streaming?

The TA2 and Trans Am races are both scheduled for live coverage on MAVTV , and highlight shows are scheduled for July 4 with TA2 at 7 p.m. and Trans Am at 8 p.m.

Who are Trans Am drivers to watch at Road America?

Paul Menard , the Eau Claire native who competed in NASCAR from 2003-21, has won three straight races and four of the six held so far this season. The 43-year-old has raced in Trans Am sporadically since stepping out of the NASCAR cockpit.

Veteran Chris Dyson is chasing Menard in the points race and frequently on the track. The three-time and defending series champion has four finishes of second plus one victory.

Kaylee Bryson , who became the first woman to win a USAC national series race , also has been racing in the SGT class of Trans Am, which meant skipping the Silver Crown round last weekend at Madison International Speedway. She has one class victory.

Josh Carlson is the grandson of longtime Midwest short track standout Joe Shear and races a car with his familiar number, 36.

Short-track stock car fans will recognize some TA2 competitors, as well. Gio Ruggiero was at the Milwaukee Mile two weeks ago with the ASA STARS National Tour and is scheduled to compete in the Slinger Nationals next month.

TA2 drivers who also race in NASCAR who are on the entry list include: Austin Green , son of NASCAR driver-turned-official David Green; prospect Connor Mosack ; and Matt Tifft , whose career was interrupted by health problems.

Rafa Matos , a former IndyCar racer and the 2008 Indy Lights champion, has won three of the seven TA2 races and holds a commanding lead in the standings. Matos is in his seventh season of TA2 with two championships to his credit.

What other race weekends will Road America have in the 2024 season?

Some of the bigger remaining weekends on the schedule include the WeatherTech International Challenge vintage races (July 11-14), IMSA sports cars (Aug. 1-4) and the SCCA National Championship Runoffs (Oct. 4-6).

Budding Hip-Hop icon Sexyy Red just threw her hat into the ring, announcing the ‘Sexyy Red 4 President Tour’ that will send her and special guests Hunxho , Loe Shimmy, BlakeIANA and another unnamed special guest to arenas all over North America from August through October.

The tour is presumably in support of her recently released, not quite politically-inspired album “In Sexyy We Trust.”

Sexyy New York fans need not worry either.

While on the campaign trail, the 26-year-old rapper will stump at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

The wait is finally over! The LPGA Tour’s team event, Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational is back again for the fifth edition. Yes, you heard that right! An LPGA event where pairs of two female golfers will descend on the greens, and only one team will be declared victorious. Kick-starting on June 27 at the Midland Country Club in Michigan, this LPGA Tour event’s tickets are available for sale.

But before you get confused, do remember that the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational, which debuted in 2019, is now called the Dow Championship in 2024. Thus, make no delay in choosing your ticket if you wish to see the team play unfold in person. Here is a little guide to navigating through the choices you have this season.

Does the Dow Championship have a hospitality deck?

The Dow Championship does have a hospitality service called Eat Great Trail, presented by Garber. Starting at only $60 per day, the ticket promises non-alcoholic beverages at the premium hospitality deck. According to the tournament’s official site, “ Sample a variety of menu items on hospitality decks located throughout the course. A selection of beer and wine will be available for guests 21 and over. Tickets will be valid any one day of the tournament, Thursday, June 27-Sunday, June 30. ”

The Dow Championship has options for both daily and weekly ticket choices at a very pocket-friendly price range. If you wish to choose a daily ticket, you can be assured of access to the tournament as well as public viewing seating. Moreover, it also offers various concession areas that are located within the course. And as shocking as it might seem, the starting price for the daily ticket is only $10, for any day from Thursday to Sunday. However, June 25th and 26th will require no tickets if you wish to witness the practice rounds.

The weekly tickets provide all these facilities; however, instead of one day, you will have access to all the rounds with this package. Additionally, the weekly tickets are priced at an even more discounted range of only $25 for the whole event. But that is not all. The Dow Championship also offers some special discounts and activities.

Will there be a yoga class at the Dow Championship?

On the initiative of MyMichigan Health, the general public can access Yoga on the Green at the Midland Country Club. It will be held on Saturday. For a ticket price of only $5, yoga enthusiasts of any skill level can join the class. Moreover, it is also notified, that “All registration fees will be donated to the James T. and Elsa U. Pardee Cancer Wellness Center.”

All military personnel and veterans are eligible for free weekly tickets to the Veteran’s Hospitality Suite. This is inclusive of complimentary food and beverages. Each member is also allowed another complimentary admission along with them.

Although no public parking is available at Midland Country Club, the organizers have provided shuttles to transport spectators throughout the day. It has been further reported that “general admission parking is FREE for spectators during tournament week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday) at Dow Diamond (825 E. Main St., Midland, MI 48640) and (Saturday) at The East End Employee Parking Lots (715 E Main St., Midland, MI 48640).”

Michigan Central Free Tours Available All Summer: What To Know

D ETROIT — If you missed out snagging a ticket to the initial Michigan Central tours this month, don't worry, the newly renovated building will be open for tours all summer.

Starting Friday, June 21, guests can visit the former train depot from 5-9 p.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays throughout the summer. Guests will not need tickets and the tours are free.

After reopening the station this month, officials will begin a phased reactivation of the building over the next several months and years, with plans to add restaurants, retail and other commercial and community-focused partners to take up residency.

The renovated train station, located in Detroit's Corktown neighborhood, reopened with an all-star concert on June 6, followed by 10 days of public tours. It was the first time anyone had seen inside the former train station in six years when Ford bought the building.

Ford spent roughly a $1 billion to renovate the iconic train station, which was abandoned in 1988. Crews had to pump roughly 3.5 billion gallons of water out of the station, which took about 18 months. Officials then used photos and pieces of the station to recreate what the station looked like in its glory years.
