It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well, sort of.

The Hallmark Channel just delighted fans of its iconic holiday movies by announcing a special Christmas cruise that will set sail next year.

The festive four-night vacation will take off from Miami, Florida, and make its way to Nassau, Bahamas, all while offering travelers the opportunity to experience everything they love about Hallmark movies at sea.

“We hear time and time again that people want to immerse themselves in the world of Hallmark Channel Christmas movies and this venture is sure to bring our brand to life in a new, captivating way,” Hallmark Media’s Vice President of Consumer Products, Natalie Vandergast, said in a statement .

The four-day vacation will take place Nov. 5-9, 2024.

On July 11, PEOPLE exclusively revealed the news that the Hallmark Channel has created a floating winter wonderland, inspired by its beloved holiday romances and hitting the high seas in fall 2024. In partnership with Sixthman, the Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise allows fans to see their favorite movies come to life and enjoy a stacked itinerary of festive activities. 

Here’s everything to know about the highly anticipated holiday cruise experience — including how to secure a spot on board. 

Where does the cruise go and when does it leave? 

Hallmark lovers will call the Norwegian Gem home for five days and four nights as it cruises from Miami to Nassau Bahamas, November 5-9, 2024. 

Will Hallmark movie stars be on board? 

Fans can officially get excited for the trip knowing that their favorite Hallmark Channel actors will be on board and available for various activities with cruisers. Guests will be able to interact with the famous guests and even participate in meet-and-greets, photo-ops, and behind-the-scenes panels during the trip.

While the exact lineup has yes to be announced, prospective passengers can keep an eye on the cruise’s official website — and this article! — for updates. 

What other activities will be offered? 

In addition to meeting their favorite stars, fans will have the exclusive opportunity to attend the premiere of a new Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas movie in a luxe theater aboard the ship.

They can also participate in a number of seasonal happenings, such as Hallmark Channel wine tastings, Christmas cookie decorating, ugly sweater contests, and Christmas “carol-oke.”

A special “Light the Night” event will kick off the yuletide sailing where travelers can watch a tree lighting ceremony to get them into the spirit for the merry journey ahead. Once the ship docks in Nassau, fans can take their holiday cheer to the island’s stunning white-sand beaches and enjoy utmost relaxation.

 Fans can sign up for the cruise’s pre-sale starting now until July 19, after which they will receive a booking appointment for a chance to reserve their cabin on board. Booking officially opens to the general public on July 21 at 2 p.m. ET.

Holiday season enthusiasts may need to make room for something new on their Christmas list this year: a yuletide cruise. That's right, The Hallmark Channel, long known as a holiday season film factory, announced it will host a themed Christmas sail in 2024.

The Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise will embark on a four-night sailing on Nov. 5, 2024, from Miami. Traveling to Nassau, Bahamas, and back, passengers will be able to experience holiday cheer on the high seas, complete with cookie making, “carol-oke,” photo ops with network stars, and an exclusive movie premiere of one of the famed Countdown to Christmas films.

Norwegian Gem Cruise Ship hosts holiday experience

The Christmas cruise will take place aboard the Norwegian Gem Cruise Ship, a 965-foot Jewel-class ship.

Sponsored by Sixthman, an event and cruise company, the experience is advertised as a chance to "experience the magic of a Hallmark Channel Christmas with your favorite Hallmark stars." Hallmark often reuses talent, drawing on a pool of actors to star in multiple holiday films. Some of the famous (and familiar) faces include Lacey Chabert of "Mean Girls" fame and Jesse Metcalfe, the titular character in the 2000s classic "John Tucker Must Die."

The lineup of stars for the cruise has not yet been announced and will not be final once it is released, as actors may need to cancel to accommodate filming.

When can I book the Hallmark Channel Cruise?

The company announced that the cruise has already sold out, sharing via email: "Christmas cheer filled every tier, and now the first ever Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise is SOLD OUT ."

Eager travelers who did not nab their tickets need not worry, there is still a waiting list that can be joined starting July 21 at 2 pm ET in case others cancel.

How much does it cost?

Prices vary based on accommodations, with the cheapest room being on deck 4 in the ship's interior. For a single guest, the cost totals $1,701. See a full pricing chart here. For each guest, $315 should be tacked on for taxes and fees, the website reports.

A representative for the cruise confirmed by phone the ship is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and that certain rooms are ADA modified for passengers with limited mobility. Passengers looking to book these rooms should call in to make the reservation.

A Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise Is Setting Sail in 2024

Fans of Hallmark Channel's Christmas movies will soon get a chance to experience the magic of the films at sea. The network has announced they will be chartering a Christmas cruise in 2024, smack dab in the middle of their annual Countdown to Christmas.

Think of it as a Hallmark holiday movie convention on the open sea. Not only will guests enjoy plenty of holiday-themed activities and Easter eggs from their favorite films, they may even bump into their favorite Hallmark stars on deck.

A list of actors and actresses has yet to be announced, but a handful are expected to be on board for photo opportunities and panel conversations.

During the cruise, Hallmark will host an exclusive Countdown to Christmas World Premiere of a new holiday movie — guests will enjoy a screening of the film before it airs on television. The title of the film has yet to be announced.

The aptly-named Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise will operate aboard the Norwegian Gem from November 5-9, 2024. The trip will begin in Miami before heading to Nassau, Bahamas, for a holiday celebration in paradise. Guests will be able to get off the ship to enjoy all that Nassau has to offer.

Hallmark has become known for its charming, albeit predictable, Christmas films. Each year they host a "countdown to Christmas" that launches in the fall — the channel is filled with dozens of heartwarming holiday films airing 24 hours a day.

Rom-coms ahoy! Hallmark Channel has just announced what promises to be the coziest, most feel-good cruise ever: a Christmas-themed cruise, complete with some of your favorite Hallmark stars and Hallmark Channel wines.

The four-day cruise will travel from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas, onboard the Norwegian Gem ship. Sailing Nov. 5-9, 2024, this Christmas-themed cruise will be the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.

The Hallmark Channel Christmas cruise is chartered by Sixthman, a company that puts on festivals and music cruises. This coming year, Sixthman will put on themed trips as varied as “Headbangers Boat” (a heavy metal cruise featuring performances from Testament, Gwar and Hatebreed, among others) and “Get Ship Faced” (a comedy cruise with truTV’s Impractical Jokers).

For the Hallmark Christmas cruise, Sixthman will be decking the halls with all things merry and bright. Sentiment and sincerity will reign as fans gather for a sweet respite from the real world. And the ship includes all the amenities you expect from a cruise vacation, including meals, spa services and a casino.

#5: Relaxing with some Hallmark vino

Over the decades, Hallmark's reach has gone far beyond greeting cards and tree ornaments. The brand now includes clothing, jewelry, kitchenware, food —  Hallmark Christmas in July cranberry hibiscus iced tea mix , anyone? — and even wine. Yes, the Hallmark Channel has its own custom wine line, all themed to either a season or to the Christmas spirit. ( Holly and Jolly are red and white blends, respectively; Jingle is a Cabernet Sauvignon, and Joy is a Sauvignon Blanc .) Passengers who enjoy booze with their cruise can opt to buy a spot at a tasting session on the second evening of the trip. Experts will offer a crash course on winemaking as they offer flights of Hallmark-exclusive varietals like Autumn Dreams and Spring Blossom. 

One of the channel's wines was even inspired by a Hallmark movie, "The Perfect Pairing." Per IMDb , the 2022 offering featured Nazneen Contractor as a snobbish food and wine critic who loses her memory after an accidental slip and fall at a winery. Forgetting she once wrote a scathing review of the place, Contractor stays and gets to know the winery's owner. Naturally, love blossoms among the vines. The Perfect Pairing Sauvignon Blanc is a sweet ice wine made from frozen grapes, and it sounds like a perfect way to end a relaxing night at sea.

#4: Singing Christmas karaoke

Hallmark Channel is inviting their Christmas Cruise passengers to bring along their singing voice and leave behind their inhibitions. One of the first-day highlights of the excursion is a "Christmas Carol-oke." The microphone will be there for the taking, and the karaoke machine will be fully loaded with classic holiday numbers. All are welcome to perform, whether you're a soloist crooning a soulful "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," or part of a friend group belting out "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree." We're betting there'll be a magnificent rendition of "O Holy Night" by someone who really should be hired as a ship performer. And count on at least four efforts at "Jingle Bell Rock," with each one getting a little drunker and giggly than the last. (There's a reason this event has been scheduled for a late-night time slot.) But let's hope no one tries their hand at "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer." That song totally goes against the Hallmark Channel spirit.

#3: Holiday traditions galore

The weather outside may be delightful — it's a tropical vacation, after all — but on Hallmark Channel's cruise, it'll begin to look a lot like Christmas. Guests will have ample opportunity to indulge in their favorite holiday traditions on all four days. Shortly after the ship leaves port in Miami, the fun begins with a tree-lighting ceremony. Highlights on the second day include a cookie decorating session (don't skimp on the icing and sprinkles!) and a late-night Hallmark movie marathon. (Hopefully, passengers will be able to watch while sipping some of the Hallmark wine they tried earlier in the evening.)

The following day will be spent exploring Nassau, then it's back on board to put on your, um, best gaudy Rudolph pullover for the Ugly Sweater Contest. As the Norwegian Gem heads back toward Florida, creative guests will be putting together Christmas crafts to take home as a souvenir of a memorable time. And these are only the activities we know of so far; Hallmark is promising to announce "sooo much more!" fun as the cruise dates get closer.

What will make these events truly special is the opportunity to share them with friends and fellow guests who love the unabashed sentimentality of the Hallmark Christmas brand. Who else would muse with you on whether the shipboard tree is as spectacular as the one in "You, Me & the Christmas Trees"? And who else would empty a tissue box with you while watching a Hallmark marathon?

#2: An exclusive Hallmark screening

Movie nights just seem more fun when you're traveling on a cruise ship, and Hallmark Channel fans will have extra reason to load up on the popcorn: Both 2024 Christmas Cruise sails will feature a world premiere of a movie from their new "Countdown to Christmas" 2024 lineup. Guests are guaranteed a seat at one of three showings in the huge Stardust Theater, and they can make reservations online, meaning they won't miss out on pool time or cocktail hour because they're queueing up for tickets. 

The titles and stars of the holiday specials are still under wraps, likely because the scripts haven't even been written yet. It takes about a month to film Hallmark Christmas movies , and they're typically made in Canada the summer before their release. But we're already making our bingo card of likely plot points and locations, with "kissing in the snow" as the center square. ("Prince," "bakery," "singing carols," and "jaded big-city woman visits small town" should figure in there, too.)

#1: Lots of celeb ops

All of these events are fun, but they're hardly unique: Any good luxury cruise will feature activities like entertainment, cooking lessons, drink sampling, and costume nights. The big draw for theme cruise passengers is the opportunity to meet and spend time with the celebs they love, be they Broadway veterans or cast members of all the "Star Trek" franchise series. So it is with the Hallmark Channel Christmas Cruise. Though the official guest list hasn't yet been released, expect to see a decent number of actors from some of the best Hallmark Christmas movies . 

Some may be popular stars who have appeared in numerous Hallmark releases (fingers crossed for mainstay Lacey Chabert, though no one's been confirmed yet); others may be featured players. Whatever the case, the cruise promises to provide photo ops, panel discussions, and even "onboard activities" with the performers. Lucky passengers might learn what it's like to complete a Hallmark movie in just a few short days or to film a snow scene in 85-degree weather while wearing a long wool coat. They might even find an actor like Maggie Lawson of "Christmas in Evergreen" joining them for cookie-baking fun. Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story

Are you ready for some football? It's game time on Hallmark Channel this holiday season when two renowned Kansas City institutions - the Kansas City Chiefs and Hallmark - team up with the NFL and Skydance Sports for a holiday movie and partnership that will have audiences everywhere cheering - TOUCHDOWN! Tyler Hynes ( Shifting Gears , Three Wise Men and a Baby ), Hunter King ( Two Scoops Of Italy , The Santa Summit ) and Ed Begley Jr. ( Young Sheldon, Better Call Saul) star in the new, original movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story . The movie begins production next month and will film entirely in Kansas City, Missouri locations, including the iconic GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, marking the first time the loudest stadium in the world has been used as a filming location in a Hallmark movie.

In Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story , Alana Higman (King) is sure that her family’s lifelong history as Kansas City Chiefs superfans makes them a frontrunner to win the team’s “Fan of the Year” contest. Derrick (Hynes), Director of Fan Engagement, is tasked with evaluating how Alana and her family stack up against the other two finalists. As the pair spends time together, it’s clear there’s a spark between them but when her grandfathers (Begley Jr.) vintage Chiefs, good luck winter hat goes missing, Alana begins to doubt everything she believed about fate, destiny and even questions her future with Derrick – unless, that is, a little Christmas magic can throw a Hail Mary.

This film marks the ultimate celebration of a longstanding collaboration between the two pioneering KC-based brands, officially uniting the Hallmarkies and Chiefs Kingdom like never before. Three Wiser Men and a Boy

The fabulous Brenner brothers are back – and Brenner than ever – in Three Wiser Men and a Boy. Paul Campbell ( The Cases of Mystery Lane) , Tyler Hynes ( Shifting Gears ) , Andrew Walker ( Christmas Island ) and Margaret Colin ( Three Men and a Baby) reprise their roles in the all-new sequel to Three Wise Men and a Baby – the #1 most-watched original movie premiere of 2022. Currently in production, the movie is set to premiere later this year as part of the network’s 15th annual Countdown to Christmas programming event.

The story begins five years later with the Brenner brothers preparing for another memorable Christmas. In a crazy turn of events, possibly brought on accidently by the brothers themselves, the director of Luke’s (Walker) son Thomas’ (Miles Marthaller, Round and Round ) school holiday musical steps down. Luke is desperate to make his son’s stage dreams come true, so he enlists the help of his brothers Taylor (Hynes) and Stephan (Campbell). Meanwhile, the trio navigates meeting their mom Barbara’s (Colin) new boyfriend and the brothers grapple with their own feelings about this relationship. In true Brenner brother fashion, they are all in for a Christmas they will never forget.

The Christmas Quest

Production has wrapped on, The Christmas Quest, an all-new holiday movie starring Lacey Chabert and Kristoffer Polaha. Set to premiere later in 2024, as part of the 15th Annual Countdown to Christmas programming event, the movie is the first on-screen pairing of Chabert and Polaha – stars of two of the highest rated cable movies of 2023, A Merry Scottish Christmas and A Biltmore Christmas .

The movie centers around An archeologist (Chabert) and her ex-husband (Polaha), an expert in ancient Norse languages, are sent to Iceland at Christmastime to search for a legendary treasure. When others join in the hunt, the pair find themselves swept into a thrilling adventure as they race to keep it from falling into the wrong hands.

Krakow revealed to TV Insider that there are similarities between Elizabeth and Jack Thornton and their Santa Tell Me characters.

“When we first started Season 1 of When Calls the Heart , Jack and Elizabeth were very much oil and water, strong-headed individuals who just had a hard time seeing eye-to-eye, and there’s a lot of that in this Christmas movie,” she said.

Hallmark Channel is filming its first Christmas movie on location at Santa’s Village in the Arctic Circle. The movie is currently in production and will premiere during Hallmark Channel’s 2024 Countdown to Christmas programming event, which is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary this year.

Inspired by her father’s acclaimed legacy in dog sled racing, Anya ( Kim Matula ) decides to follow in his footsteps. After his passing, she heads to Finland to participate in the 40th annual Joulurauha race, her father’s final race where he fell short of the victory. Margaritaville at Sea passenger files lawsuit saying she was raped in a hotel booked by the cruise line

A Margaritaville at Sea passenger is suing Classica, the cruise line's operator, for damages.

She alleges rape by an employee of a Bahamas hotel that was booked by the cruise operator.

The woman is seeking damages for physical injuries, PTSD, and medical expenses.

A Margaritaville at Sea passenger is suing its parent company, Classica Cruise Operator, claiming she was raped by an employee of a hotel booked by the company.

According to the lawsuit filed this month in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Missouri woman stayed at Wyndham Viva Fortuna Beach in the Bahamas during her round-trip cruise from Florida to the island.

The complaint said that Classica arranged for the passenger, referred to as "Jane Doe," to stay at the hotel in early August 2023.

According to the lawsuit, on August 6 last year, a Wyndham employee tracked and followed her as she left her room at night to get a drink of water.

The lawsuit alleges that the employee then forced her into the control room of the hotel's theater, locked the door, and raped her.

The lawsuit referenced another allegation of rape in a 2016 TripAdvisor review of the hotel, in which a woman claimed she was gang-raped by staff a day after getting married.

According to The Tribune, police investigations concluded that there was no evidence for the incident.

But the lawsuit asserted that the resort and the cruise operator "knew or should have known of this prior incident."

It accuses Classica of failing to warn her of the prior allegation, investigate the resort, and ensure a reasonably safe environment.

The lawsuit also accused the resort of a failure to provide reasonable security and to adequately investigate its employees.

Jane Doe is seeking unspecified damages from the cruise operator and resort for physical injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder , and incurred medical expenses, among other things.

"If there's one objective it is to shed light so that people have information about how this happened or how this could happen, and they can make informed decisions," the woman's attorney, L. Alex Perez of Lipcon, Margulies & Winkleman, said.

Wyndham Hotels and Classica Cruise Operator did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.

This isn't the first time Margaritaville at Sea has been connected to sexual assault.

Last year, a bartender pleaded guilty to a count of abusive sexual conduct after two women said he snuck into their room at night.

Business Insider reported last year on a growing number of passengers reporting incidents of sexual assault at sea.

BI reviewed 11 lawsuits. filed between 2014 and 2023, which revealed the extent of allegations made on cruise ships.
