DAY 1: Arrival - transfer to Boracay Island (No Meal) Arrival at Kalibo Airport. From Kalibo Airport to Caticlan Boat Station via bus takes 1 hr 30mins. Then you will cross the short straits to the island of Boracay via boat in less than 20mins. Continue with inland island transit via escorted Multicab or a Tricycle to get you to your hotel. Free and easy at night.

DAY 2: Island Hopping around Boracay (B/L) Visit Boracay island's best snorkeling spots and enjoy the under water scenery. Experience fish feeding and swimming in the open sea. Trip arrangement for 5-6hrs. You may stop by at some beaches for seafood lunch. Drop off to White Beach after island hopping completes. Free and easy at night. DAY 3: Free and Easy (B) Breakfast at hotel. Free and easy day. Explore Boracay beaches on your foot or you may hire a Tricycle to tour around the beautiful island. It’s Thye’s birthday and I didnt know what to get him (yes he is someone who doesnt want anything) so I’ve decided to gift him an experience instead- a trip to Boracay!!

Before we start, here are some tips(as usual):

• Boracay consist of 3 areas which are situated along a loooong beach. However, you can walk from one end to the other in about 20mins so it actually doesnt really matter which area you stayed. Also, their “Tuk tuk” is cheap so we just take it from one end to another.
• There is another secluded beach and its own resort- Fairway & Bluewater which is located at the far end of Boracay. They have their own beach but if you want to visit the other beach can just take a cab.
• There are alot of activities to do which you can just book/buy right on the site. They have tons of sales people walking along the beach and they can be REAL pushy. Just politely decline and walk away (note they will tend to follow you for a short distance before they leave you alone, just get used to it). Also, do haggle for the prices cause there are so many different operators there providing the same services.
• Boracay only have 1 airport- named Kalibo. And you have to arrange a transport from your hotel cause you will have to take bus to the ferry site to take ferry then transfer transport to the hotel. So its best for the hotel to arrange everything for you for convenience sake.
• Please avoid the monsoon season if you really wish to enjoy the place fully. It rained almost every day and night which spoiled most of our nights there as we had totally no mood to chill at the bars with the rainy weather. We ended up chilling in our hotel room every night and its a bummer.

Landed in Kalibo Airport and its a pretty different airport as compared to elsewhere. Its a standalone building and there is only 1 custom area which divide the arrival exit and the departure exit.

At the arrival exit, you will be greeted with tons of drivers outside, some waiting to pick you up and some promoting their services.

You can get wifi card right outside the airport too but, the connection is pretty bad.

The hotel we stayed at is Lime Hotel Boracay which I will recommend you all to stay here as its located near White Beach 2 and near the seafood market. The location is so convenient that we can walk to and fro the main beach and market place. However, its just a 3 star hotel so if you are looking at somewhere nicer, you can try Fairway & Bluewater which was what I initially wanted to try but was fearful with the location.

However, after having been to Boracay, its actually ok with the cheap Tuktuks and you have your own secluded beach.

As its already evening period by the time we checked in due to the land and ferry transfer, we explored the place and head to the D’ Talipapa for dinner before calling it a day.

D’ Talipapa is a market place whereby you shop for your own seafood- prawns, crabs, shell fish, fish etc and then you bring your “shopping buys” to any restaurant nearby and they will cook the food for you as per what you want. Steam, fried or whatever. They will charge a minor cooking fee.

A pretty cool experience I would say! But as we were new to the place, we were pretty bad at haggling so the prices were kinda ex for us.

Was looking forward to this day cause its the first full day in Boracay! Hotel breakfast(yes the hotel does provide breakfast but its at the cafe next to it) and off to make our booking for Ariel’s Point !

This is a standard package whereby it include ferry to this place named Ariel’s Point and you can do stuff like cliff diving, snorkelling, Kayaking etc and its all inclusive. They also cover lunch during the trip there.

Everyone will gather at the spot right outside the Ariel’s Point shophouse and the ferry will come to pick us up.

We were thankful for the weather on this day cause it pretty much rained every other day and night during our trip there(totally overlooked the monsoon season).

The beach is sooo pretty I literally went WOW when I first saw it in daylight! The sand is soo white and the water is SO clear!

A must in Boracay- Jonah’s Fruitshake! Apparently everyone who goes to Boracay must try this. Thye loves it so much we had it almost everyday.

But, I will not recommend for the sweet tooth cause it may be too sweet for your liking!

You can spot this sign from where. This is where you book the tour for the cliff diving.

Free beer and drinks during the ferry ride! Yes all inclusive in the tour.

An entire day in the nature!

There are 3m, 5m, 8m and 15m. The highest I went was 5m while Thye tried for the 8m. However, both of us doesnt dare to try the 15m cause it looks and sound pretty scary.

Some of the tourists in our group attempted it. If you didnt land properly, you will end up in HUGE bruises on your body.

We get to do other water activities like kayaking and snorkeling around the area.

Lunch buffet with everyone. You basically just chill around the place the entire afternoon with free flow food and drinks.

Met so many friendly and nice people of different nationalities in the tour!

Back to the hotel to wash up and change after that. Dinner at this famous BBQ shop- Hawaiian Bar-B-Que which I had researched before the trip. The food were goood. The only downside was that queue were pretty long and it was raining.

Back to hotel to rest after that cause too sian of the rainy weather.

Water + Land activities day! However, as we didnt bring enough cash cause I kind of underestimated the cost required here, we cant do as much activities as I wanted to.

Wanted to try the sunset sail, diving, zipline etc but due to limited budget, we decided to go for the Helmet Diving + ATV to the other beaches cause both of us had not done those before yet.

So happy to see the bf enjoying this trip so much!

The Helmet Diving lasted for only 10 mins (in the sea) excluding the travelling time- ferry out to the platform in the sea where we geared up but omg, ITS SO FUN AND CALMING I TOTALLY LOVE IT.

We can literally walk around on the seabed with fishes swimming around you.. a must try!!!

The package include a video CD too.

If you are wondering how it works, basically the tube at the top of the helmet will pump out the water so we have space to breathe in the helmet. Note NOT to tilt your head backwards or forward if not the water will gush in!

But even if you do, dont worry the guide there will help you to adjust back to order.

Was pretty sad that its over so soon.

Walked around the shopping area after that and have some BBQ chicken for lunch.

Last full day in Boracay! 🙁

Breakfast and its off to Mt Luho’s look out point for some view. After that, its to the other beaches to explore. We went to Puka Beach (Shells) and please put on your footwear when you’re there. The entire beach is made up of shells its quite painful to walk on.

Back to our hotel and decided to chill by the pool for the rest of the evening.

Went for some massage and its not bad. We went to the massage parlour which is located at the 2nd level of the shophouses.

Since its our last day and we have spare cash left, we decided to treat ourselves to a 4 star hotel buffet which luckily, was at a real cheap price.

Back to the hotel to pack after that.

Home sweet home! Got our hotel to arrange the transport back to the airport. By the way, if you all are travelling via cebu air, kindly note that so far I had heard from my friends that their flights were all delay. As for us, our flight got delayed for close to 4hrs too.

And thats the end of our trip!

Boracay Itinerary | 3-day Tour as First Time Visitors

Many years back, wanting to visit Boracay Island never occurred to us. We thought it’s all about partying, crowd, and spoilt beach. But after the rehabilitation efforts on the island, we planned and attempted to book several times until it finally transpired!

As mainstream as it may sound, Boracay remains among the most frequented destinations in the Philippines. Whether you’re going there for a luxury stay, backpacking, solo travel, honeymoon, or even just a simple vacation with the ones you love, Boracay Island is just great and as flexible as that!

In our case, Jec and I went to Boracay with our family and the trip was a simple treat for our parents. We wanted everything to be simple, especially with itinerary and tour package as we don’t want our parents to experience a lot of hassles and mishaps that come with a DIY trip. I found the tour package offered by Diary Two really appealing as it’s straightforward and budget-friendly! We availed of their 3D2N Boracay Package for 6,999 per person (promo) which includes roundtrip flights, transfers, hotel with daily buffet breakfasts, land tour with lunch, and parasailing. So basically, everything was covered except for other meals.

Now, here’s our 3-day Boracay Itinerary as first-time visitors. This is exactly how our trip went and time stamps are accurately extracted from our photos. But do note also that individual experiences may vary according to weather, traffic, etc.

3D2N Boracay Island Itinerary

(Travel to Boracay + Explore White Beach)

• Check-in time at the hotel is 2 pm, and the flight booked for us was too early. Thankfully, the rooms were ready and unoccupied when we got there in the morning!
• Not included in the package: Lunch buffet at Astoria Current and dinner at Queen Bee Chinese Restaurant.
• Our lunch buffet at Astoria Current was a discounted offer for their promotional/marketing (we only paid around 300 per head). It was offered to us when we arrived at Boracay port. So yes, after having our lunch, Jec and I spent an hour more to hear about their company (although we did not avail of their offers). It’s fine for us since it was midday (too hot for us to stay at the beach and we had no tours scheduled for the day).
• All transfers are included in the package (flight, van, boat, e-trike). Cool?!

(Land Tour + Parasailing)

• The places included in the Land Tour are: Mangrove Park, Tambisaan Beach, Sinagpa Rock Formation, Puka Beach, New Coast Beach, Keyhole, and Bulabog Beach.
• We were not able to visit all of the places because I was such a cause of delay. I was looking for an OOTD along the way so we had several stops (it was in Puka Beach where I found a crocheted bikini that was not too revealing) 😂
• All transfers, entrance fees, lunch, and parasailing/parawsailing are included in the package.
• 3 of us (Jec, Me, Diane) had parasailing, and the parents tried paraw-sailing which is less extreme.
• Crystal Kayak is by donation only. We paid 250 per head.
• Not included in the package: Jonah’s Fruit Shake, Aria Cucina Italiana, Coco Mama

My personal thoughts about the beach

It was a great opportunity to finally compare my favorite Mahabang Buhangin Beach in Calaguas with White Beach Boracay. But then, I found out they’re not supposed to be compared because they both have their own charm. It really depends on your preferences.

What I liked about White Beach Boracay is the beach sand itself. Amazingly, it’s such a pleasure to walk on because the sand never gets hot even under the scorching sun! Not to mention it’s so easy to walk as the sands are so fine, hence, your feet won’t get sunk in the sands. In addition, there are so many unique cafes and restaurants fronting the beach so if you’re a foodie you’ll surely like it!

On the other hand, what I liked about Calaguas’ Mahabang Buhangin Beach is its serenity due to lesser crowd. It’s farther from the mainland so you will really feel the authentic island vibes. No commercial buildings and just a very few permanent establishments. So for me, Calaguas is still my number 1 simply because, it’s me. It’s my personal taste. But I’m still looking forward to going back to Boracay Island in the future!

Verdict on our first Boracay Island experience

Quite unexpectedly, we all liked Boracay Island ! I’m so glad that our first experience was so close to perfection (at least according to our personal liking). Fine sunny weather throughout our 3-day stay, smooth and hassle-free vacation (all thanks to Diary Two’s commendable service), no delayed flights, and a surprisingly clean version of Boracay island!

Very opposite of what we usually see from the photos and videos before the rehabilitation (trash along the beach, even a video of a foreigner pooping right on the beach sands, people partying all night long right at the beach, stores/shops occupying the sandy beach, etc.). I could rightly say, it was definitely a renewed and reformed Boracay!

One of the best resorts we’ve stayed in so far. We took 3d2n package with breakfast, lunch & din provided. Food given large quantity, esp seafood & service was fine. Stayed in Garden Villa chalet. Very clean & comfortable. Housekeeping crew came to clean, very prompt & quick. Clean & nice beach, about 20 paces away from room, as well as clean pool, about 10 paces from room. Surrounding well kept. Resort is, of course, not new but it’s more than adequate to unwind & relax. Came during off-peak season & feels like you have whole resort to yourself! Thank you to staff for memorable holiday.

• Upon registration and confirmation of airline ticket request, Traveller must remit full payment for airline ticket according to the dateline as advised by the person-in-charge in AMI Travel.
• For ground and other payments, traveler must remit booking deposit (a 100 % non-refundable) of 30% from the package price (excluding airline ticket) within three (3) days after registration or according to the dateline advised by person- in- charge in AMI. Balance payment must be made thirty (45) days prior to departure date or according to the dateline as advised by the person-in-charge in AMI.
• No changes can be made within 48 days before departure

Boracay, one of the prime holiday destinations in the Philippines, is widely known for its crystal clear waters, pristine beaches covered with powdery white sand, and diving and cliff-jumping spots.

Upon your arrival at Caticlan Airport, you’ll be picked up and taken to your temporary home, LIME Hotel Boracay. During your stay, feel free to plunge into the swimming pool and grab some refreshments from the bar. You also have free access to high-speed WiFi.

Day 1 - Day 1: Arrival + Check-in

Day 1 is meant for your flight to Boracay. Your plane will land at Caticlan Airport. Afterward, your transportation will pick you up and take you to LIME Hotel Boracay.

Day 2 - Day 2: Boracay Shared Island Hopping & Snorkeling Tour with Lunch, Transfers & Kawa Hot Bath

Board a boat and sail off to Boracay’s must-visit natural attractions such as Puka Beach, Balinghai Beach, Coral Garden or Ilig-Iligan Beach, Tambisaan Beach, and Crocodile Island. Besides swimming, you also get to go snorkeling at some of your stops. Before heading back to the mainland, you can drop by Crystal Cove and Magic Island (add-on option). You can then enjoy the rest of the day at the hotel swimming in the pool, watching television, or using the free WiFi.

Day 3 - Day 3: Free Time + Add-on Tours

On this day, you will be the one to decide on how you will use your time. To begin your day, you can step out and head to the white sand beach, which is only a few minutes away by foot. On the beach, you will find numerous water activities (add-on options) that will definitely make your day more exciting. You can try banana boat riding and parasailing, and if you wish to explore underwater, you can try helmet diving. By the end of the day, you can relax in the outdoor pool or at the bar as you watch the sunset.

Day 4 - Day 4: Free Time + Add-on Tours

This will be your last full day in Boracay, so grab the chance to try more adrenaline-pumping activities (add-on options) offered in White Beach. Make your vacation more unforgettable with a fun UFO ride that will give you an adrenaline rush. You can also go scuba diving, wherein you can encounter colorful and different marine animals. If you want to end the day in a relaxing way, you can go paraw sailing, which will treat you to a spectacular view of the sunset.

Day 5 - Day 5: Checkout + Departure

After you have had your fill of the hotel facilities and water activities, you’ll head to Caticlan Airport.

Booking Information - Upon booking, please expect an email from Guide to the Philippines for the voucher, reminder, and next steps.

Hotel - Standard check-in time is 1400H and check out time is at 1200H. Requests for early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and fees. Refundable incidental deposit is required upon check-in. Guest/s are required to present a valid credit card guarantee or cash deposit. Bookings for one person will be arranged in single rooms, and bookings for two or more people will share a twin/double, or triple room(s). Children will be arranged in the same room with their parents. If additional room(s) is needed and for special requests, additional costs will incur. Child rate includes existing bed sharing arrangements with adults and complimentary tour/s (if any). Maximum of 2 children per room. Child rate is exclusive of daily breakfast and to be paid directly to the hotel.

Complimentary Tours and Activities (if any) - Make sure to have the electronic copy of your confirmed tour voucher ready. On the day of the tour, your assigned Tour Guide will meet you at the designated meeting place. For those who have availed complimentary hotel pick-up and drop-off, your Tour Guide will meet you at the hotel lobby at least thirty (30) minutes prior to start of the tour or activity. Strictly no latecomers or tour reservation might be forfeited. During the tour, please be reminded to dress appropriately depending on the nature of your tour.

All guests are expected to do their share in ensuring their safety and security as well as that of their personal belongings. Guide to the Philippines and Tour Operators are not liable for the loss or damage to any personal belongings left unattended during the tour.

Peak Season Bookings - All bookings passing through December 24 and 31 are required to avail of the mandatory Christmas and New Year's Eve Dinner. Prepayment is required and can be paid in advance through Guide to the Philippines or direct to the hotel on the day of check-in.
