Jammu and Kashmir is a Union Territory in northern India, often denoted by the acronym J&K. It is located mostly in the Himalayan mountains, and shares borders with the states of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab to the south.Jammu and Kashmir is home to several valleys such as the Kashmir Valley, Tawi Valley, Chenab Valley, Poonch Valley, Sind Valley and Lidder Valley.The Jhelum River is the only major Himalayan river which flows through the Kashmir valley. The Indus, Tawi, Ravi and Chenab are the major rivers flowing through the state. Jammu and Kashmir is home to several Himalayan glaciers The climate of Jammu and Kashmir varies greatly owing to its rugged topography. In the south around Jammu, the climate is typically monsoonal, though the region is sufficiently far west to average 40 to 50 mm (1.6 to 2 inches) of rain per month between January and March. In the hot season, Jammu city is very hot and can reach up to 40 °C (104 °F) whilst in July and August, very heavy though erratic rainfall occurs with monthly extremes of up to 650 millimeters (25.5 inches). In September, rainfall declines, and by October conditions are hot but extremely dry, with minimal rainfall and temperatures of around 29 °C (84 °F).

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Srinagar & Tour of Lakes

Arrive Srinagar and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. In the afternoon Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with, which is often compared to Venice. You will get view of some very interesting places around the Lake. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 : Srinagar Local Sightseeing

After breakfast leave for full day excursion for Sonamarg situated at an altitude of 9000 Ft. Sonamarg is also called as "The meadow of gold" has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahaseer. Ponies can be hired (at your own cost) for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer. Return back to Srinagar. Overnight stay at House boat.

Day 4 : Srinagar To Gulmarg & Pahalgam

After breakfast transfer to Gulmarg, called as 'Meadow of Flowers". Gulmarg is 54 Kms from Srinagar at an altitude of 8700-ft. Gulmarg also referred as Meadow of Flowers which is a famous Ski Resort & the world’s highest 18 hole Golf Course. The place was prominent during the British time. You can enjoy a pony ride & also the scenic view of Kongdori on a Cable Car Ride – ( Gandola & Horse ride at your own cost). Evening return back to Pahalgam 125 Kms from Gulmarg.

Day 5 : Pahalgam Local

Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. Excursion trip to places like Chandanwari , Betab Valley & Aru valley route to holy cave (at your own cost) thus happens to be a preferred spot among domestic tourists, Evening Return back to hotel. Overnight stay at Pahalgam.

We took premium package of Ajay modi kashmir tour still facing a lot of problems .No proper food facilities . There is no high tea facility. The menu of food repeats frequently .The food is not tasty . The hotels and stays are too poor . The places are located near slums and dirt and mud .Please it's a kind request Don't take Ajay modi package .

Travel Itinerary

Due to mobbing of taxi unions at Katra / Jammu railway station, all travelers have to reach directly from Katra / Jammu railway station to our hotel in Katra / Jammu and from there the service of our company will start.

Departure from Katra/Jammu at 4-00 am for Srinagar. (250 km / 8 hours) After arrival in the houseboat, enjoy Shikara ride in the evening (on your own).

Travel from Srinagar to Pahalgam (approx. 90 km/ 3 hours) Arrival / Rest at Pahalgam. (We try to keep hotels in Pahalgam close to major city centers, so hotels in Pahalgam are a bit average compared to Srinagar,, but if a traveler wants to upgrade the hotel, it will be done with an additional charge.) Tourist friends on the way from Srinagar to Pahalgam, Pampore area has saffron fields and a cricket bat factory, so don't waste too much time shopping so that you don't get late for lunch (Pahalgam). After arrival at Pahalgam visit Baisharan at own expense by horse and Aru Valley at own expense by taxi union taxi. (Do not do rafting as river rafting is dangerous.)

Sightseeing including Betabveli, Chandanwadi by local union taxi from Pahalgam. Which will be done voluntarily and at own expense.

Leave for Sonamarg from Pahalgam at 7 am. (160 km/5 hrs) After arrival at hotel in Sonmag and lunch sightseeing at own expense as per time and weather.

Check-out from the hotel at 9 am and rest of the sights of Sonmarg (at own expense). Leave for Srinagar from Sonmarg after lunch at 12 noon. (Approximately 80 km/ 3 hours) Local sights of Srinagar including visit to Shalimar, Nishat and Chashmeshahi Garden.

Travel from Srinagar to Gulmarg. (Approx. 55 Km / 2 Hrs) Gondola ride (rope-way) at own expense in Gulmarg and return enjoying Khilanamarg. (The online ticket for Gulmarg Ropeway should be booked by the booking staff of our office 1 month in advance through the website www.jammukashmircablecar.com at his/her own expense for the time slot after 11 PM.) Tourists can't arrive on time for lunch due to the gondola line in Gulmarg as well as the time it takes for tourists to travel, so we don't provide lunch in Gulmarg.

Travel from Srinagar to Katra. (250 km / 8 hours)

Departure to Mata Vaishno Devi in the morning from Katra. (On his own accord and at his own expense)

Completion of the tour with a drop off at Katra / Jammu Railway Station. Complimentary dropping will be provided for Jammu railway station at 4.30 am early in the morning. Jammu airport drop will be at own expense.

Hotel Arrangement : In Jammu, Srinagar, Pahalgam and Katra you will find a non-AC room with two beds with attached toilet in a beautiful and clean hotel with deluxe amenities. Rooms will be available in different deluxe houseboats in Srinagar according to the number of rooms available. Tourists who have booked 2 persons in 1 double bed room will have to face a shortage in which 3 persons will sleep on the double bed and extra mattress will be provided on the ground for the 4th person, but if they need another extra mattress, they will pay after paying in direct cash at the hotel and will get. So make the right decision to take another room. In every hotel Rooms are allocated by the management according to the list of vacancies they have, so do not make false insistence or pressure on all the members of the group to allocate rooms on one floor at a time. Even if you give more money in the summer peak season, you don't get extra room after going there, so think and take a room.

Transportation : Tourists engaged in travel will have to travel according to the rotation system through TempoTraveller / Winger (NonA.C.) in Sharing. Tourists who have an independent vehicle will be picked up from Jammu Hotel, Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Pahelgam and after Patnitop finally visiting Vaishnodevi will be dropped off in a 2x2 bus from Katra to Jammu railway station. Tourist destinations will be taken only once, in case any place closes will not be taken again. At each location, security forces, local traffic police rules, pressure from taxi unions as well as political and natural conditions will be taken as far as the vehicle goes, then small vehicles and horses will have to go on their own; the price varies according to time, circumstance and season. Vehicle breakdown, puncture, AC breakdown, hotel lift or AC breakdown. In any technical problem like spoilage arises suddenly, requested to have some patience till repairing, and will not receive any refund. Srinagar airport pick-up will not be given in tour no. 2nd and 3rd.

Meals : After reaching Jammu / Srinagar, you will get clean, vegetarian as well as hot, fresh and varied tea-breakfast, lunch and dinner made by our Gujarati Maharaj every day. You will find delicious and varied Gujarati, Punjabi, South Indian, Chinese, Kathiawadi as well as Continental meals according to time and circumstance. But mineral water will be available on its own and Jain tourists will also get Jain food. Since we have our own fixed kitchens in every place in Jammu Karmir, our main hotel meals for hot tea-breakfast from 7-00 to 8-30 in the morning, for lunch from 11-30 to 2-00 in the afternoon and for dinner from 7-00 to 9-00. You have to come to the food department on time, after that the kitchen will be closed so if you are late you will not get food. Meals from Jammu to Srinagar and from Pahelgam to Katra / Jammu are not included in the travel price, so the traveller will have to arrange the meals on his own at his own expense. If the number of passengers is less than 28 persons, only breakfast and dinner will be provided from the hotel restaurant, which will not be refunded in any way.

Special note for Royal Kashmir with Upgrade Hotel Tour:

This year we have introduced a new package for tourists who want to get more luxurious hotels by spending more money. In which star category hotels in Srinagar and hotels with beautiful facilities and locations in Pahelgam have been arranged so that the tourist can also choose the upgrade package of Kashmir by spending more money according to his status.

Tour Booking: Rs.4000 / - (Non Refundable) per person for booking all tours in Kashmir to be paid. In order to get a confirmed reservation for a train or an airplane, it is advisable to make a timely booking 120 days in advance. It is mandatory to make the final payment 30 days before the trip, otherwise their name, hotel and other arrangements will be cancelled on the understanding that they will not join the tour and no refund of the paid payment will be received.

We only give small vehicles to our tourists instead of big buses ... read the reasons carefully ...

Advantages of Small Vehicles : Most of the tour operators usually offer 3 x 2 or 2 x 2 big buses to the tourists of Jammu and Kashmir. Hence their travel cost a little less, but we arrange a small vehicle in Sharing for your family instead of a big bus. The reasons for which are as follows:

(1) By the order of the Hon'ble High Court, the entry of big buses in Srinagar city from 8-00 in the morning to 8-30 at night has been completely banned. Due to the curfew, whenever we reach Srinagar from Jammu or Gulmarg or Sonmarg or Shrinagar local sightseeing we stay till 8-30 hours of the night. The bus has to wait for entry to the outskirts of Srinagar city And arriving at a hotel or houseboat takes approximately 9-30 hours at night. And making that journey by small vehicle, you can comfortably reach the hotel or houseboat at 7 pm. The worst experience of this situation was going from Srinagar to Gulmarg or Sonmarg in the morning it also happens, because for that every tourist has to get up very early and get ready early and get on the bus.

(2) Due to small vehicle You will not have vomiting problem on hilly roads. The place can be reached on time and safely.

(3) The independent vehicle allows you to get from one place to another in a timely and safe manner, even if you wake up late in the morning and get ready a little late.

(4) You can also enjoy photography, videography, snacks or colddrinks by keeping your family up for a while in beautiful locations.

(5) Being a small vehicle, it does not cause traffic problems and its high pick-up saves time by cutting even small mountain curves quickly.

(6) You can enjoy a leisurely journey with your family in your leisure and in your privacy without wasting time and waiting for some late arrivals in the bus or bothering with other strange tourists.

(7) There is no hassle for entry or parking in Srinagar at any time due to small vehicles, you can easily reach the hotel door, so after thinking twice, now you can choose from the package mentioned here for your family ... !!

Terms & Conditions

Tour Cancellation : Cancellation of all tours in Kashmir only after receiving a written request for tour cancellation from the person booking the tour will be done. 60 days before departure date Rs. 1000 / - will be deducted, 30 days before departure date Rs.2000 / - will be deducted and before 30 days those who cancel a booking will not receive any refunds. There will be no refund of the tour booking amount if the tour has to be cancelled due to any circumstances of the traveller or due to political and natural circumstances., except for the additional amount a credit note valid for up to 1 year will be issued, So that the tourist can rejoin his journey with us. (Credit note will be automatically cancelled after 1 year and will not receive any refund). If train or flight being cancelled, rescheduled, lifted or fare increased during the circumstances, its cancellation as well as its re-reservation is complete. The responsibility will be on the traveller. As the group ticket of the flight is non-refundable, it is not cancelled and will not be refunded.

Special Note : In order to provide good and timely facilities to the family when a tourist is booking a tour, we also recommend hotel booking, vehicle booking in advance. Kitchen staff and good tour managers are booked in advance, but any natural or man-made and suddenly raised Unusual and difficult circumstances such as floods, earthquakes, cloudbursts, earthquakes, political instability, shutdowns, strikes, storms, terrorist attacks, trains or flights. Due to rescheduling or cancellation or illness, death of a relative or an epidemic like the current corona which we call in common parlance “ACT OF GOD”.

In case the tour is cancelled or has to be cancelled due to any other reason like “ACT OF GOD”, we also have to pay in advance as well as advertisement and office expenses are non-refundable, so if the tour is cancelled, you will be given a credit note with one year validity of the amount paid and In case of cash and check will not refund. Through this credit note the traveller can join any of our other trips.

For all trips to Kashmir due to train or plane delays or rescheduling or cancellation, sudden strike, announcement of closure or political unrest or due to natural calamity, accident or due to your ill health or any other reason No refunds will be given for any other missed travel facilities or hotel nights or re-transportation. We pay advance to hotels at each of the front locations the tour schedule will remain the same as booked. The company will not be liable for loss of your train ticket or air ticket if the travel date is changed, cancelled or the travel schedule is disrupted for any reason. If a tourist leaves midway due to ill health, death or any other reason, he will not be given a refund.
