The Gran Turismo World Series 2023 concludes in Barcelona starting Dec 1
Watch Three Cups across a three-day race weekend live, and take part in a World Final Celebration Race.
The Gran Turismo World Series 2023 reaches its conclusion in Barcelona on 1-3 December.
A live public audience will witness all the action in the denouements of the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup on Friday, December 1, Manufacturers Cup on Saturday, December 2 and Nations Cup on Sunday, December 3.
The World Finals will celebrate 10 years of Vision Gran Turismo with eight full-scale models on display in the venue and the live unveiling of two exciting new Vision Gran Turismo cars.
All the action will be streamed live on Gran Turismo YouTube and PlayStation Twitch as well as Eurosport and Discovery+
Following the stunning Gran Turismo World Series Showdown that took place in Amsterdam in August, the top GT racers from around the world are back in action for the World Finals. Sixty-five competitors from 20 countries will travel to Barcelona in Northern Spain for three days of competition.
Three days of top-class racing
The action takes place at the Fira de Barcelona, close to the historic Montjuic F1 circuit and Barcelona’s Olympic Park, in the centre of Catalunya’s vibrant capital. It starts with 24 drivers competing in two Semi-finals, a last-chance Repechage and the 12-way Grand Final to decide the 2023 Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup winner on Friday, December 1 from 10:00am PT / 7:00pm BST.
The competitive field features many established Gran Turismo World Series racers, but the TGR GT Cup always introduces some new talent into the fray, such as fast American Calen Roach who has just turned 18 and so is eligible to compete for the first time. With five Spanish drivers in the mix, there will be plenty for the home crowd to cheer for. The popular Coque López will be keen to make a winning start to the biggest weekend on the Gran Turismo calendar, but he’ll face stiff opposition in this ultra-competitive series.
On Saturday, December 2, the action turns to the Manufacturers Cup where 36 competitors will represent the leading Gran Turismo manufacturers, including Series partners Toyota, Mazda and Genesis. A qualifying sprint race will be followed by a Grand Final that features all three drivers racing around the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Reigning World Champions Team Subaru were relegated to second place by Team Porsche in the World Series Showdown in Amsterdam. They will be keen to seek revenge, while Team Porsche will be buoyed by the return of their talisman, Chilean Angel Inostroza, who was forced to miss the Amsterdam event while recovering from injuries.
Team Lamborghini put in a highly impressive and entertaining run at the Showdown event to take the final podium place but will be under pressure from 2022 podium finishers Team Toyota and Team Mercedes AMG as they aim for the top step and their chance to win the Boccioni-inspired trophy.
Sunday, December 3 sees national pride at stake as 12 teams of three battle for the Nations Cup over three individual sprint races and a 3-driver endurance race. Team Spain is on a roll and will surely be the favourites for a win on home soil in front of a partisan crowd. Coque López took the Nations Cup title for Spain in 2022, when the Nations Cup was an individual competition. Teamed up with Jose Serrano and Pol Urra at the Amsterdam Showdown event in August, the trio were unstoppable and took a stunning victory.
Team France, Team Brazil, Team Japan, Team Chile and Team Italy all have the raw talent, speed and race craft to beat them on their day and it will be fascinating to see if the home crowd can make the difference for the Spanish threesome and push them all the way to the top step of the podium.
Celebrating 10 years of Vision Gran Turismo
As well as the on-track action, the World Finals 2023 will also celebrate 10 years of the innovative Vision Gran Turismo project. Embraced by the automotive industry, more than 30 Vision Gran Turismo cars have been designed and released in Gran Turismo games, in many cases giving a glimpse into the future of the automotive industry.
Eight full-scale models of Vision Gran Turismo cars will be on display at the World Finals venue, but most exciting of all will be two new Vision Gran Turismo cars set to be unveiled live during the Manufacturers Cup broadcast on Saturday and the Nations Cup on Sunday.
In addition to the Vision Gran Turismo cars, the in-venue experience for spectators will be enhanced by Gran Turismo World Series partners. Toyota will display some of their flagship GR models, Michelin will have a booth and offer a chance to win prizes and Fanatec will showcase its latest products, as will Brembo and BBS.
Watch and win in Gran Turismo 7
Following the release of the Spec II Update earlier in November, Gran Turismo 7 players can benefit from two special in-game bonus campaigns during the World Finals 2023.
The Predict the Winners Campaign by Brembo is open until the start of each race broadcast. Players can win in-game Credits by correctly predicting the winners of the three championships. 1,000,000 Credits will be delivered for a correct guess, with a total of 3,000,000 Credits being delivered for correctly guessing the winners of all three.
The Viewers Gift Campaign by BBS starts from the start of each race broadcast and lasts until Sunday, 10 December. Players can receive the Toyota FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo, Mazda LM55 Vision Gran Turismo and the brand-new Vision Gran Turismo model due to be unveiled during the weekend by clicking the Viewers Campaign banner in the top right corner of the Gran Turismo 7 World Map and watching the streams.
World Final Celebration Race
Be part of the action as you can experience the same races as the Gran Turismo World Finals 2023 in Gran Turismo 7.
The Gran Turismo World Series Anniversary Race is open from November 17 to December 10 and can be accessed from the World Map screen. Players can race in either the Manufacturers Cup race at the Nürburgring 24h or Nations Cup race at Spa 24h layout.

- Tournament News
One of the longest-running and most beloved tournaments on the LPGA Tour schedule gets underway Friday with the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer. This year, 144 players will once again compete over the course of 54 holes at Seaview’s Bay Course for a purse of $1.75 million. This is an event that has seen some of the preeminent players in the women’s game hoist the trophy in Atlantic City, including the likes of Betsy King, Se Ri Pak and Annika Sorenstam. Here are five things to know about the Tour’s third stop of the season in the Garden State.
In a thrilling, final-round showdown at the U.S. Women’s Open, Yuka Saso leapfrogged the trio of 54-hole leaders – Minjee Lee, Andrea Lee and Wichanee Meechai – to win her second U.S. Women’s Open title. Saso came from three strokes back on the final day, overcoming a four-putt, double-bogey on her sixth hole of the round to win at Lancaster Country Club. Saso joins an elite shortlist, becoming only the third known player to make both of her first two wins on the LPGA Tour major titles alongside Se Ri Pak and In Gee Chun. Hinako Shibuno, winner of the 2019 AIG Women’s Open, finished runner-up with Ally Ewing mounting a final-round charge with a closing 66 to sit in a tie for third with Lee.
Many of the world’s top-ranked players are making the short two-hour drive from Lancaster Country Club to Seaview for the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Hannah Green, a major champion and already a two-time winner this season, makes the trip to Atlantic City for the first time since 2021. She closed out her U.S. Women’s Open with a final-round 66 to climb inside the top 20 at week’s end. Green is joined in the field by fellow major champions Danielle Kang, Brooke Henderson and Jin Young Ko. New Jersey native Marina Alex is slated to tee it up in her home state, where she picked up a tie for 12th last season. Atthaya Thitikul also returns to New Jersey after finishing in a tie for sixth in 2023. Germany’s Sandra Gal will make just her second start of the season and only third start since 2021 as she’s been away from professional competition dealing with Lyme disease and recovering from hip surgery.
Buhai Defends
In 2023, Ashleigh Buhai picked up her fourth victory in 10 months with her win at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Buhai birdied four of her first five holes of the final day en route to a one-stroke victory over Hyo Joo Kim. Buhai’s win marked her first in the United States and second on the LPGA Tour, as her only other title came at the AIG Women’s Open at Muirfield in 2022. The defending champion has been struggling with a back injury since her win last season and returns to New Jersey still in search of her first top 10 of the year.
Karrie Webb Returns
Karrie Webb never officially announced her retirement from professional golf, instead leaving the door open for the occasional playing opportunity, like this week’s ShopRite LPGA Classic. The World Golf Hall of Famer made her last start on the LPGA Tour at the 2022 edition of the ShopRite LPGA Classic, which was one of only two starts she made that year. Webb last played a full LPGA Tour season in 2017, and she has kept a limited schedule in recent years, instead spending time traveling the world and working on golf course design. Webb’s most recent victory came at the LPGA Senior Championship in 2022.
History at Seaview
After Donald Ross put his finishing touches on the design, Seaview opened in 1915. The course has had a long history in not just the women’s game but on the men’s side as well with Sam Snead capturing the PGA Championship at the venue in 1942. Since 1986, the ShopRite LPGA Classic has been staged at the club, although the tournament did move away for more than a decade before returning in 1998. The tournament has been contested over 54 holes since its inception but was played over 72 holes in both 1990 and 2020. The tournament has produced some of the biggest winners in women’s golf, many of whom have returned to the field this week, including Brittany Lincicome (2011), Stacy Lewis (2012), Anna Nordqvist (2015, 2016), In-Kyung Kim (2017), Annie Park (2018) and Brooke Henderson (2022).
