DO YOURSELF A FAVOR & TAKE THIS TOUR!
This tour is an absolute must if you want to learn more about the people and events that made up the infamous Salem Witch Trials. Sarah was the best tour guide I have been lucky enough to follow. She was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, and passionate about the history she was sharing. She reminded us that the victims of the witch trials were just that - victims, who had lives, families, and who leave legacies after them. I learned more in this hour and a half than I could have hoped to in a history class!

We had a brilliant tour with Dawn on a very, very rainy night, Monday 9/11. The content of the tour was interesting, it gave me a very good overview of Salem’s history. The tour was more history than hauntings in my opinion. Dawn really brought the stories to life and was very generous with her time and encouraged the group to interact and ask questions.
I am a long-time resident of Salem and had forgotten how amazing our town is, thank you Violet for awaking my interest in Salem's history again! Violet is a fantastic tour guide, and our group is extremely impressed by her. Violet spoke well, charming and is clearly knowledgeable. She was able to change a muggy dreary rainy night into very pleasantly memorable evening.
During a day trip to Salem, I participated in the History and Hauntings tour provided by Witch City Tours. This walking tour was so informative and beautiful! Our tour guide, Michael, knew quite a bit about the history of Salem and the witch trials. His summary of Salem's dark past piqued our interest into learning more about it, which led to the purchase of a history book in a local shop.

We had a great time on our pontoon boat tour. The guide was very knowledgeable about the local history and the natural wildlife. She really got us up close and personal with several waterfalls, which was incredible! Lake Jocassee is truly beautiful and this is a great way to get out there and see different parts of the lake. I highly recommend this tour.
Great guide!! Very knowledgeable and fun...saw lots of great waterfalls, coves and a few of her "special places". Learned the history of the lake and feel very well informed! Thanks much, Tricia!!
We had a wonderful day on this beautiful lake. We got lots of information and saw several waterfalls. Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable. She gave us time to swim at several locations. I highly recommend the 4 hour tour!
I booked a kayak for 3 days for camping at the boat-in campground, and the pickup and dropoff was very simple. The equipment was great quality, the campground was well maintained, and exploring the falls was really interesting as long as you're willing to paddle out.
Our private fall tour was excellent!! Jennifer was a very knowledgeable and personable tour guide. The weather and views were beautiful. This is our second tour, and we will return!
This place is the BEST! The guides are friendly and very experienced. They explain all about the hidden history of the area, and also all about the natural wonders you are seeing. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

The Final Resting Place of the 20 Victims
The question of where Salem’s accused witches were buried has been asked for centuries, and the absence of marked graves is surprising. The truth is that convicted witches were not allowed to receive a proper Christian burial in cemeteries. According to eyewitnesses, the nineteen accused witches who were hanged were left in shallow graves at Proctors Ledge. In some cases, the graves they were put in were so shallow that body parts could be seen sticking out of the dirt.

The Bronx Zoo, the Wildlife Conservation Society’s flagship park, opened on November 8, 1899. Since then, the zoo has created a unique window into the natural world for city dwellers in the heart of the Bronx - and serves as a springboard and hub for conservation efforts across the entire planet.
The animals and exhibits at the Bronx Zoo span the globe and include tiny toads from Tanzania and big cats from the Russian Far East. With more than 700 species, the zoo is the perfect place to inspire animal lovers of all ages. Part of their mission is to connect visitors to wildlife and inspire them to join our conservation work. Much of this work has recently been featured on the Animal Planet docuseries, THE ZOO, which has provided behind-the-scenes looks into their work like never before.
Through the Wildlife Conservation Society’s five parks, we are able to connect over 4 million visitors a year to impactful messaging on science, nature, and conservation. Across these facilities, we care for more than 17,000 mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. New York Botanical Gardens - July 10, 2024
Established in 1891, The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) is distinguished by the beauty of its landscape, collections, and gardens, and the scope and excellence of its programs in horticulture, education, and science. NYBG was inspired by an 1888 visit that eminent botanists Nathaniel Lord Britton and his wife, Elizabeth, took to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, near London. The Brittons believed New York should have a great botanical garden to advance public understanding of plants, be a repository of rare and valuable specimens, and lead original research in botanical science.
Today, the 250-acre Garden—the largest in any city in the United States—is a National Historic Landmark. In addition to the natural attributes that attracted the Brittons, NYBG encompasses 50 specialty gardens and collections comprising more than one million plants, the Nolen Greenhouses for Living Collections, and the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, the nation’s preeminent Victorian-style glasshouse. Highlights include the award-winning Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden, considered among the world’s most sustainable rose gardens; the Native Plant Garden, celebrating the diversity of northeastern North American plants; and 30,000 distinguished trees, many more than 200 years old. More than one million visitors annually enjoy the grounds, view innovative exhibitions, and participate in educational programs that are larger and more diverse than those of any other garden in the world.
