Trans-Siberian Orchestra Announce Over 60 Tour Dates for Late 2023

Trans-Siberian Orchestra have announced over 60 North American tour dates for the upcoming holiday season.

The run, which features two different touring lineups to maximize the amount of performances, as well as matinee and evening shows at several tour stops to further meet demand, will take place from Nov. 15 through Dec. 30.

The project was originally conceived by the now deceased composer and producer Paul O'Neill alongside Savatage members Jon Oliva and Al Pitrelli. Throughout the years, various other metal musicians have taken part in touring, including Alex Skolnick (Testament), Bill Hudson ( NorthTale , I Am Morbid, Doro ), Joel Hoekstra ( Whitesnake ), Russell Allen ( Symphony X ), now late bassist David Z ( Adrenaline Mob ) and so many more.

A fan club pre-sale is set to take place on Sept. 7 at 10AM local time. A public on-sale date has yet to be announced, but will at some point in the near future.

TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA ( TSO ),the multi-platinum, progressive rock group, kicked off its 2023 tour last night (Wednesday, November 15) with captivating performances in Green Bay, Wisconsin and Council Bluffs, Iowa. For 2023, TSO brings a completely updated presentation of the unforgettable, multi-generational holiday tradition, "The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve" . Over the course of the tour, TSO will visit 62 cities, delivering an impressive 104 performances before concluding on December 30.

A product of the imagination of TSO 's late founder Paul O'Neill , and based on TSO 's multi-platinum CD and TV special "The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve" , follows the journey of a runaway who breaks into an abandoned vaudeville theater on December 24. While seeking shelter from the cold, the teen is discovered by the theater's caretaker who uses the ghosts and spirits from the building's past to turn her life around. Following the performance of the rock opera, 2023's tour also boasts a rocking, blazing, and laser-lit second set containing more of TSO 's greatest hits, fan-favorites, and surprises. In addition to experiencing the story at TSO 's live concerts this year, fans at home can watch a digitally restored "The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve" on their local PBS station.

TSO 's music director and lead guitarist Al Pitrelli said: "For 27 years you have helped make Paul O'Neill 's TSO stories a part of your holiday tradition. TSO , which has sold more than 12 million albums and DVDs, released music in several formats this fall, including a 25th anniversary edition of "The Christmas Attic" on vinyl, in deluxe and standard packaging, on September 29; a clear vinyl pressing of "Christmas Eve And Other Stories" on November 3; plus, a digital release of "The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve" in Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio and hi-fidelity stereo mixes, including both the songs and narration, titled "The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve - The Complete Narrated Version" on November 10.

Since its touring debut, TSO has played more than 2,000 winter tour shows to more than 18 million fans. In just the past 10 years (encompassing nine tours), TSO has performed for more than eight million fans. Keeping with O'Neill 's vision, TSO remains one of rock's most charitable bands. Once again, TSO will give at least $1 from every ticket sold to charity. To date, more than $18 million has been donated by the group.

After its first year off the road in more than two decades, TSO made a triumphant return to touring in 2021 with a 25th-anniversary celebration of "Christmas Eve And Other Stories" .

According to Billboard , TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA 's entire 2022 haul generated $66.5 million in gross revenues from 914,000 tickets sold — with 77% of that sum coming from December dates alone. That was the second-highest grossing tour in the band's history, narrowly missing 2019's pre-pandemic $66.8 million.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra announces dates for their yearly winter tour with 104 shows

LOS ANGELES —  Trans-Siberian Orchestra  — the heavy metal, classical music, theater production, pyrotechnics and laser lightshow hybrid — will return this winter.

“The Ghosts of Christmas Eve — the Best of TSO & More,” will hit 62 cities and deliver 104 performances in both matinee and evening sets. It kicks off on Nov. 15 at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and runs through Dec. 30, concluding at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Al Pitrelli, TSO’s guitarist and music director, says that since the band started 28 years ago, their winter tours have become a tradition for loyal fans and their families.

“I call them repeat offenders,” he jokes.

Pitrelli estimates that nearly half the attendees have been “coming to us since the jump.”

Fans can expect a memorable performance that references the band’s 1999 “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” television film and album. The story follows a young girl who runs away from home on Christmas Eve; she’s alone, visions come to her, and eventually she makes her way back to her family at midnight, just in time for the Christmas holiday. Singers represent different characters, woven into a narrative by the late founder Paul O’Neill.

Pitrelli believes the reason TSO performances continue to draw people in is found in the story.

“Everybody misses somebody, especially on Christmas,” he says. The show provides an arena for people to feel less alone, “wrapped up in the world’s biggest rock and roll production,” he adds.

The numbers don’t lie: As of July 2022, Pollstar put Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s box office gross at $769 million.

Tickets for the 2023 holiday tour will go on sale on Friday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m. local time. Limited $39 tickets will be available for purchase within the first week, or while supplies last. A dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to charity.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra holiday tour dates: The symphonic rock group will kick off their 2023 tour in mid-November

The holidays are still months away, but it’s never too early for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) to start planning their massive holiday tour. The symphonic rock outfit has unleashed a full roster of holiday tour dates for their 2023 trek, called “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve: The Best of TSO and More.”

Since the tour is so massive, the TSO will have two different productions out on the road during the same time. Moreover, because of the two separate productions, some dates for the tour have two cities on the same day. Also, many of the cities on the roster will offer a matinee performance, in addition to an evening performance.

The SO tour will being on Nov. 15 with two shows in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and two shows in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The tour will wrap up on Dec. 30 in Columbus, Ohio, and St. Paul, Minnesota. Those who have joined the TSO fan club by Sept. 1 will have early access to tickets. Ticketmaster will start pre-sales on Sept. 7 for the November shows and Sept. 8 for the December concerts. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Sept. 15. Also, from Sept. 14th through 22nd, Trans-Siberian Orchestra will be offering $39 tickets while supplies last. This broadcaster has some ideas to speed up the PGA Tour’s pace of play

It’s no secret that the PGA Tour needs to get players to play faster, but the question of “how?” is always the inhibiting factor to any real change.

While the PGA Tour adopted a new pace of play policy in 2020 , it still hasn’t accessed a penalty for slow play since the 2017 Zurich Classic , which was the first in 20 years before that.

So how exactly should the PGA Tour enforce pace of play and combat slow play? Veteran CBS Broadcaster and 1991 Open Championship winner Ian Baker-Finch has some ideas.

On this week’s episode of GOLF Subpar, the Aussie was asked by co-hosts Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz what he would like to change about golf on TV and Baker-Finch used it to tee off on the PGA Tour’s funereal pace of play at times.

“I’m not a big fan of slow play,” Baker-Finch started. “I’d try and find some way of speeding it up where you had to play in four hours and you really only had 30 seconds to play each shot and only you could read the putt. Things like that, that would just speed up the game. Because 5.5 hours is ridiculous, and I think it’s killing the game.”

Stoltz brought up CBS’s final broadcast of the 2024 season two weeks ago at the Wyndham Championship when the tournament had to play 36 holes on the final day and just barely ( actually, it didn’t really ) got it in.

The pace of play for each of the two rounds was five hours and 20 minutes.

Baker-Finch says the issue goes back before players make it to the PGA Tour because they are used to playing in five and a half hours in college and junior golf. But when it gets to the pro-level, Baker-Finch says the PGA Tour claims it’s done all it can without penalizing players.

“But if they say at the start of the week, the time par is 4:23 for a course in threesomes, adhere to the 4:23,” he said. “I don’t understand how 5:30 is OK?”

One other solution Baker-Finch proposes is to allow the use of distance-measuring devices. He says it’s an unpopular point of view, but Knost pointed to the recent U.S. Amateur where the pace of play was quite good throughout the event. Distance-measuring devices were allowed at the U.S. Am.

“I know a lot of the caddies think that I’m down on the caddies for that. No, not at all. I’m a fan,” Baker-Finch said. “It appears like over the last decade there’s more and more caddie conversations. You know, it seems to be a minute of discussion. before they even get to line up to the shot. And I think that’s something that, I don’t know how you change that rule or what you do, but that that would be something.”

Megan Moroney Pulls Epic End Of Tour Prank On Kenny Chesney

End of tour pranks are a fun tradition for openers to pull on the artists who brought them out on the road with them. We’ve seen some pretty good ones over the years, but one of my favorites has to be when Ray Fulcher dressed up like Eric Church to surprise Luke Combs during their final show a few years ago.

Well Kenny Chesney is wrapping up his  Sun Goes Down  tour with a three night run at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts this weekend. And on the first night, opener Megan Moroney had a little surprise for Kenny.

Throughout the tour, Megan has been joining Kenny on stage to perform his 1999 hit “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy.” And this time, she decided to really get into character, driving on stage dressed as Kenny while riding a toy tractor.

Kenny clearly got a kick out of it – but he also had a surprise in store for Megan. He said he was saving it for their final show, but instead he decided to go ahead and fire up his band to perform Megan’s hit “Am I Okay?” together during his set.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Spotted Together for the 1st Time in Weeks Amid ‘Eras Tour’ Break

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reunited after weeks apart due to their busy schedules.

The couple, both 34, were spotted for the first time since Swift wrapped the European led of her  Eras Tour , enjoying a cozy date at her Rhode Island mansion on Saturday, August 24, according to photos obtained by TMZ . In the snaps, Swift and Kelce were seen standing on a balcony overlooking the ocean. Additional photos obtained by the Daily Mail reveal that Kelce’s teammate  Patrick Mahomes  and his family, as well as Travis’ brother  Jason Kelce  and wife Kylie Kelce joined the couple. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were later pictured at the mansion, per DeuxMoi .

The pop star and the NFL player spent the summer traveling around Europe amid the international leg of her Eras Tour . They were last spotted in public together when he attended her concert in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, in July before Kelce returned to the U.S. for training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs later that month. Swift, for her part, continued her dates throughout Europe until her final show in London on Tuesday, August 20, at which point she began a two-month hiatus from her tour.

In June, Kelce opened up about the attention surrounding his and Swift’s romance. “You wanna keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to, like, hide anything,” he said on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast at the time. “That’s my girl. You know what I mean? That’s my lady, so it’s, like, I’m proud of that .”

While the couple have not shied away from the public eye since first connecting in the summer of 2023, they still value their privacy. “I’m not sitting here trying to juggle, like, ‘How can I keep this under wraps?’” Kelce explained. “You just don’t want to let everybody into your personal life and be able to comment on it knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.”

He added: “I’ve had fun with just about every aspect of it — it’s just when you’re at home, you want privacy. And you don’t always get that.”

Earlier that month, Swift and Kelce took a major step in their relationship when he joined her on stage during one of her London concerts. He later revealed on his and brother Jason Kelce ’s “New Heights” podcast that the cameo was his idea, sharing that Swift “found the perfect part of the show for me to come in.”

Swift, meanwhile, gushed via Instagram that she was “still cracking up/swooning over” Travis’ Eras Tour debut after the fact.

As the pair approached their one-year anniversary, a source exclusively told Us Weekly in June that they are “wildly in love.”

“They have daily FaceTimes when they’re apart and send cute texts to each other,” the insider said. “A year [into their relationship] there is such an ease between them. It seems like they’ve been together longer because they are so in tune.”

Hyunjin Chose Custom Versace for His Global Stray Kids Tour

Stray Kids fans, rejoice! The South Korean boy band has marked the first day of their global dominATE tour, performing at the KSPO Dome in South Korea earlier today (where the band will be playing for four nights). The group will certainly be busy in the months ahead, with shows across South Korea, Singapore, China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia until mid-January 2025.

Hitting the stage to perform their this such as “Chk Chk Boom” and “I Like It,” members Hyunjin, Felix, Bang Chan, Han, Lee Know, I.N, Seungmin, and Changbin all kicked off the worldwide tour by bringing their signature electrifying performance style. And while they all dressed cohesively in sync—it’s a boy band, duh!—each member was sure to embrace their individual fashion sense. Especially Hyunjin, who chose custom looks designed by Donatella Versace for his solo performances.

Donatella Versace created four special looks for Hyunjin, which will be worn throughout the tour. His first custom brow ensemble debuted in Seoul just today: It included a crystal-net balaclava, sleeveless Versace-logo tank top, and cargo pants. Custom Versace Mercury sneakers completed the look. “Donatella is so supportive and a true icon,” says Hyunjin of the fashion partnership. “Wearing Versace always makes me feel more energy, more attitude, and more of my own power when performing. The outfits designed by Doantella feel very luxury.”

As for the remainder of his stage outfits, Versace created other pieces such as short sleeve-tees with a burnished finish, single-sleeve knit shawls, and more cargo pants and crystal net balaclavas. The looks were fitted onto Hyunjin at the Palazzo Versace in Milan this summer. ”It was such a pleasure to host Hyunjin in Milan. It is a truly special and meaningful place for me, my team, and all our extended Versace family,” Versace tells Vogue . “It didn’t take long for the fans to discover he was here—we had fun going out to meet them together.”

The designer adds that Hyunjin’s confidence and “connection with his fans” is what inspired her to create for the star. “I really loved designing the clothes for his stage performances. He knows exactly what suits him, and what works for him as a performer,” says Versace. “I love that he feels Versace gives him confidence and special energy. He is so thoughtful and gentle and when he’s on stage—he shines like a true star.” The cool statement outfits sure help, too.
