Eagles singer Don Henley gives his all onstage.

It’s time to check out of the Hotel California and into a resort on the Strip.

From Sept. 20 through Oct. 19, The Eagles will play eight concerts at Las Vegas’ premier concert destination, Sphere .

At all ‘Eagles — Live In Concert at Sphere’ shows, fans can expect an “ultimate connection to the band’s legendary catalog in an immersive experience that only Sphere can provide,” according to a press release.

Prior to this high-profile residency announcement, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and co. have been touring all over the globe as part of their farewell ‘The Long Goodbye Tour.’

As of now, there’s no word on whether or not these Sin City gigs will be the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group’s last; when they initially announced the farewell trek, they teased that the tour would stretch into 2025.

In any event, if you want to see the legendary group deliver their timeless hits — “Life In The Fast Lane,” “New Kid In Town,” “Take It Easy,” “Lyin’ Eyes” and “Desperado” are just a few of the classics that often make the set list — tickets are available for all eight Sphere concerts as of today.

Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming shows on sites like Vivid Seats ; the official on-sale is Friday, June 21.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

The Eagles 2024 Sphere concert schedule

A complete calendar including all Sphere dates and links to buy tickets can be found below.

The Eagles concert review

According to  Variety , The Eagles’ live show “easily competes with the likes of Taylor Swift and Beyoncé for tour of the year.”

For more about Deacon Frey, Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Vince Gill and what covers the band worked into their MSG concert, you can read their thorough review  here .

The Eagles band members

When you’ve been living life in the fast lane since 1971 (!), a bit of shuffling when it comes to your group’s lineup is to be expected.

Still, to this day, 76-year-old, founding member Don Henley (drums, vocals, also known for the ’80s smash “Boys of Summer), continues to tour with the group.

On the road, he’ll be joined by 76-year-old Joe Walsh (also of the James Gang), 76-year-old Timothy B. Schmit (bassist and vocalist, played with Poco), 22-time Grammy winner 67-year-old Vince Gill and the late Glenn Frey’s 31-year-old son Deacon.

Over the course of their illustrious career, the band has racked up six Grammy awards, performed over 1,000 concerts and sold 150 million-plus albums.

The Eagles set list

On their farewell tour, The Eagles stuck to a pretty strict set list.

While we can’t confirm what they’ll take to the Sphere stage, here’s what they played last year, based on our findings at  Set List FM .

01.) “Seven Bridges Road” (Steve Young cover) 02.) “Take It Easy”

03.) “One of These Nights” 04.) “New Kid in Town” 05.) “Take It to the Limit” 06.) “Best of My Love” 07.) “Witchy Woman” 08.) “Peaceful Easy Feeling” (Jack Tempchin cover) 09.) “Tequila Sunrise” 10.) “In the City” (Joe Walsh song) 11.) “I Can’t Tell You Why” 12.) “Lyin’ Eyes” 13.) “Life’s Been Good” (Joe Walsh song) 14.) “Already Gone” (Jack Tempchin cover) 15.) “The Boys of Summer” (Don Henley song) 16.) “Funk #49” (James Gang cover) 17.) “Life in the Fast Lane”

18.) “Heartache Tonight” Encore:

19.) “Rocky Mountain Way” (Joe Walsh song) 20.) “Desperado” 21.) “Hotel California”

Goodbye Hotel California, hello The Sphere! What Is The Eagles’ Sphere Residency?

The Eagles’ residency at The Sphere follows in the footsteps of other legendary rock acts that have recently made a temporary home out of the $2.3 billion venue , like U2, Phish, and Dead & Company. For their part, The Eagles’ residency is set to last for four weekends, starting on the weekend of September 20th and running through the weekend of October 18th.

The shows arrive as part of the ’70s band’s farewell tour, entitled “The Long Goodbye.” The crew initially announced their final run in late 2023, which notably included a slew of dates with Steely Dan. That run wrapped up in March, so to take them at their word, the concerts at The Sphere seem to be one of the final times fans can catch one of the best-selling rock groups of all time.

And for those wondering, The Eagles’ current lineup boasts Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit, as well as Vince Gill and Deacon Frey.

What Can I Expect From the Eagles’ Sphere Shows?

As with other recent concerts at the Sphere, Eagles plan to utilize the venue’s next-generation technologies, including its immersive LED displays and sound systems.

As for the setlist, on “The Long Goodbye” tour, Eagles have been playing a setlist composed primarily of greatest hits (“Take It Easy,” “Take It to the Limit,” “Tequila Sunrise,” “Life in the Fast Lane,” and “Hotel California).

How Can I Get Tickets to The Eagles’ Sphere Residency?

Fans will be able to purchase tickets starting Tuesday, June 18th at 10:00 a.m. PT via an artist pre-sale ( pre-registration is ongoing ). A Live Nation pre-sale then follows on Thursday, June 20th (use code CHORD ) via Ticketmaster , with the general on-sale going live on Friday, June 21st.

Tickets start at $175 and will reflect all-in pricing, meaning the ticket price listed is inclusive of taxes and fees.

Are VIP Packages Available?

Yes, a limited number of VIP Ticket Packages will be available starting Tuesday, June 18th at 10:00 a.m. PT at Eagles.com and include premium seats, exclusive merchandise, parking & more.

Are There Any Discounts Available for Eagles’ Sphere Shows?

Fans can also look for deals and tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

If you’re planning a trip to Las Vegas for a show at the Sphere, you can save 15% off travel and accommodations through Booking.com .

Are The Eagles Touring Besides the Residency?

As of now, The Eagles’ upcoming dates at Sphere are their only confirmed performances in the US. The band previously said they intend to tour through 2025.

Eagles make official 2024 Sphere announcement

A fter months of speculation, the Eagles are heading to the Las Vegas Sphere in 2024. The band officially announced a residency for fall 2024.

In a social media post, the Eagles made the announcement. The outside of the Sphere is shown with the band’s logo and the Joshua Tree desert in the background. A live performance of “Hotel California” is playing in the background.

Only eight shows will be played during the residency. However, as both U2 and Dead and Company have shown, that can be extended. If there is enough demand, surely they will be back.

“The Eagles have announced a residency at SPHERE in Las Vegas featuring eight shows over four exclusive weekends from Friday, Sept. 20 through Saturday, Oct. 19,” the announcement read.

Ticket pre-sales will occur on June 18 at 10 am PT. Registration is open on the band’s official website . Tickets will go on sale to the public on June 21 at 10 am PT.

It’s all a bit of a loophole. The Eagles are about to wrap up what they called their final tour, “The Long Goodbye” tour. However, a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere isn’t touring .

Currently, the Eagles’ lineup consists of original members Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit. Vince Gill and Steuart Smith join them for tours. Deacon Frey, the son of the late Glenn Frey, is a part of the touring band as well. Presumably, all of them will be back for the Las Vegas residency.

Who are the Eagles?

The Eagles formed in 1971 and are one of the most iconic rock bands of all time. After disbanding in 1980, the band reformed in 1994 until 2016. After guitarist and singer Glenn Frey passed away in 2016, the band went on another hiatus. Since 2017, a new version of the band has regrouped and they have been a live act since.

In 2023, the band began their final concert tour, “The Long Goodbye.” It commenced with a show in Madison Square Garden in New York, New York, on September 7, 2023.

Currently, the band is playing a European leg of the tour. The final show of that leg will take place on June 13 with a show in Arnhem, Netherlands.

This gives the Eagles a few months to rehearse ahead of their Las Vegas Sphere residency. It is unknown what the theme of their shows will be. Perhaps they will play a similar setlist to their “Long Goodbye” tour.

Having seen the desert imagery that U2 utilized during their shows, it’s possible they follow suit. The Eagles’ songs lend themselves to desert landscapes. Even the promotional images for the residency indicate that.

The Eagles will follow U2, Phish, and Dead and Company as the fourth band to play the Sphere. U2 opened the venue on September 29, 2023, and played a 40-show residency through March 2, 2024. Phish then played four shows in April before Dead and Company took over.

Dead and Company are in the midst of a 30-show residency at the Sphere. It will conclude on August 10, 2024, a little over a month before the Eagles get the keys.

The Eagles Reveal New ‘Hotel California’ Tour Dates for 2021

The Eagles have added new dates to their rescheduled Hotel California Tour for 2021. The iconic country-rock group have added six new dates to the dates they'd already announced, beginning on Aug. 22 and 24 with a two-night stand at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The newly announced dates also include two nights at TD Garden in Boston, as well as two nights at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

Surviving Eagles members Don Henley , Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit will join country icon Vince Gill and Glenn Frey 's son, Deacon Frey, for the upcoming concerts. Gill and Frey joined the band after Glenn Frey's death in 2016, splitting his duties across various classic songs.

The Eagles originally announced the Hotel California Tour for 2020, after playing a sold-out Las Vegas residency devoted to their most successful album in 2019. They played the initial shows through the end of February in 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to reschedule the bulk of the dates.

The upcoming shows will feature the Eagles performing their 1976 Hotel California album in its entirety, backed by an orchestra and a 22-person choir. A second set will feature the group performing a selection of greatest hits from across their career.

Tickets for the newly announced shows will go on sale beginning Friday, June 18, at 10AM local time. American Express Card Members will have access to a special pre-sale beginning Monday, June 14, at 10AM local time and running through Thursday, June 17, at 10PM local time. Tickets purchased for concerts in 2020 will be honored at the rescheduled shows. Fans who are unable to attend the new dates can request a refund via LiveNation or the original point of purchase.

By Jon Blistein

Jon Blistein

UPDATE (6/7): The Eagles have added a run of East Coast dates to their 2021 Hotel California tour, with two shows now scheduled in three cities, New York, Boston and Washington D.C. The run will kick off at Madison Square Garden in NYC on August 22nd and 24th, followed by TD Garden in Boston August 27th and 28th, and finally the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. on August 31st and September 1st. Tickets will go on sale June 18th at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster , while American Express card members will have access to presale tickets June 14th at 10 a.m. through June 17th at 10 p.m. You can also find tickets at VividSeats.com .

The Eagles have rescheduled their Hotel California tour again, moving the dates to fall 2021 after previously postponing the run because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The new dates will start with two nights at the Pepsi Center in Denver, September 16th and 18th, and wrap with two nights at the Chase Center in San Francisco, October 22nd and 23rd. In between, the Eagles will play one night in Dallas, two nights in Phoenix and St. Paul, and three nights in Los Angeles.

The Eagles launched their Hotel California tour in February and were able to play shows throughout that month before COVID-19 caused them to call off the rest of their spring dates in mid-March. At the time, the Eagles rescheduled those shows for this September and October, although their decision to push them back further reflects ongoing concerns over whether or not conditions will be safe enough for live music to return in the fall.

Tickets to the original concerts will be honored at the newly scheduled shows. Those who are unable to attend can request a refund via LiveNation or the place where they originally purchased their tickets.

The Hotel California tour came about after the Eagles performed three sold-out Hotel California gigs in Las Vegas last year. The show features a full Hotel California set, with the Eagles playing alongside an orchestra and a choir, as well as a second set of the band’s greatest hits.

In the Fall of 1971, the EAGLES formed, pioneered, and personified a uniquely American musical style, blending country, folk, R&B, rock, and pop sensibilities, and would go onto become one of the most creatively and commercially successful bands of all time.  In today’s faddish, fractured, rock landscape, the Eagles retain an appeal that transcends both generation and genre, cementing the band’s role as enduring musical icons.

The Eagles have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, scored six #1 albums, and topped the singles charts five times.  They earned six GRAMMY Awards, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, in their very first year of eligibility, and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016. The band’s Greatest Hits 1971-1977 is the best-selling album in history, with the RIAA certifying the collection at 38-times Platinum.  Hotel California is the third best-selling U.S. album in history, certified 26-times Platinum.  After its release in 1976, it topped the charts and earned two GRAMMY Awards for “New Kid In Town” and “Hotel California.”
