The Cruise keyboard sound generation is fully analog and split into 2 main sections:  A- monophonic B- polyphonic

partially derived from mono synthesizer based on M110B1 SGS IC

PWG - Polyphonic Waveforms Generator based on TDA 1008

Mono section 

 basically the the oscillator dco is pretty simple with just sawtooth / square shape + an octave setting at 4' 8' 16' 32. the monophonic section is partially derived from siel mono features same 10 presets sounds when set in edit mode (called mode "free") it is possible to access direct dco edit. .

2 shapes:  sawtooth / square can be edited in free mode

4 different octave feet settings: 4' 8' 16' 32

Preset list: basso tuba, piccolo, trombone, sax, trumpet, flute, violin, guitar, bass and clarinet 

sound generation is based on DIP-40 M110B1 SGS-Ates like Jen Sx1000, Crumar composer and many FARFISAs from the era like Doria, FK-50, Louvre, Pergamon, Scala...

POLYPHONIC  section 

Up to 49 voices polyphony based on pwg - polyphonic waveforms generator - with 12 x tda 1008 - 16 pins frequency dividers. the are 4 pwg presets families with minor edit parameters :.

Instruments:  trombone and trumpet Controls:  filter cutoff-resonance plus a 2-stages EG attack + crescendo.

Instruments: violin, cello and percussion Controls: EG control over attack and decay- this control is shared between reed and piano family

 EFFECT a single effect ANIMATION based on TDA 1022 - according to the original advertising this effect was aimed to recreate acoustic reverberation of a hall concert type, but it sounds more like an analog chorus.

Section is slimmed-down from original MONO synthesizer: VCF is no more multimode but only lowpass controlled by 2 sliders for cutoff and resonance up to self-oscillation. The KTF is a simple key tracker for more brilliance on higher octaves.

Major Cruise Operators Slash Summer Prices Despite High Demand - Here's Why

B ig cruise line operators like Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (NYSE:RCL), Carnival Corp (NYSE:CCL), and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NYSE:NCLH) are reportedly cutting summer cruise prices to fill cabins, say travel agencies and company websites.

This adjustment comes as more ships head to popular destinations like the Caribbean and Alaska while rerouting from the Red Sea due to ongoing conflicts between Israel and Hamas, Reuters reports.

Despite record demand and increased revenues, cruise prices for trips departing from the U.S. this summer are lower than last year, Reuters quotes from AAA data.

Royal Caribbean's seven-day itineraries in the Caribbean and Bermuda are down 21% year-over-year for June. Norwegian and Carnival cruises in the same region are down 12% and 11%, respectively, as per TripAdvisor's Cruise Critic.

Royal Caribbean is also reducing rates for Caribbean trips in the third and fourth quarters, according to Todd Elliott, CEO of Cruise Vacation Outlet. "It seems more strategic on sailings that need a little more help," Elliott told Reuters.

He added that cruises around Africa, instead of through the Red Sea, are also seeing price cuts.

An AAA spokesperson says older ships are being discounted as newer vessels enter the market. For instance, Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Sea, which debuted in January, commands $500 to $1,000 more per person than similar regional cruises.

Royal Caribbean raised its 2024 profit forecast in April for the second time , while Carnival reported record bookings in the first quarter of this year .

Similar price reductions are seen in Alaskan cruises this summer due to increased capacity. Carnival's Alaskan itineraries for July and August are priced about 20% lower than the same period in 2023, while Royal Caribbean's prices for the same months are 6% and 12% cheaper, respectively, Reuters quotes Cruise Critic.

Price Action : RCL shares were trading higher by 0.18% at $148.23 on the last check Thursday.

Tampa Bay was chosen for the company's second ship since the Port of Palm Beach was too small to accommodate the newest addition.

Margaritaville at Sea Islander inaugural cruise scheduled for June 14

The inaugural cruise for the Islander is scheduled for June 14 out of the Port of Tampa Bay.

The Islander underwent "extensive reimagining" at the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland, before beginning its three-week trip to Florida May 19, according to a Margaritaville at Sea Facebook post.

The custom styling is "reminiscent of the sand, sea and sky" and includes Margaritaville’s signature bedding, pillows and linens.

There are more than 700 Breezy Balcony staterooms, Grand Terrace Suites, "luxurious" Corner Suites, and "ultra-exclusive" Islander Signature Suites.
