Got there at 8:30 expecting the show to start at 9pm as advertized. It seemed they were having technical difficulties that they weren't able to resolve by 11pm.. on a Tuesday. My friends and I decided to leave at that point as we all have typical, weekday jobs and mommy and daddy aren't paying our rent. Pretty disappointed I didn't get to see the show and that they don't offer refunds. It doesn't seem unreasonable to think they could have done the soundcheck before they opened the doors to the public. Maybe if I was still in my early 20's and didn't care about sleep or my job, I would have stuck around, but we can't all be that lucky.

was a very political performance being the day after the election, he sung about may and a really catchy one with the hook of "hung parliament" ahaha, the real highlight was half way through when he brought Thundercat out - they jammed for like 10 mins i swear. was magic

Show was awesome/.

Line up was ridiculous - went all the way around a city block and all the way down an alleyway.

Reggie delivered the goods though - my 4th time seeing him and he's always hilarious.

Bang! His performances garnered significant critical acclaim, and in 2015 he was hired as the bandleader for The Late Late Show with James Corden . Tenacious D are hitting the road for five select dates benefiting Rock the Vote, the nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to building the political power of young people.

The duo is playing five shows in October leading up to the 2024 presidential election, including concerts in the swing states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, which are among the crucial battleground states for the 2024 election.

Watch Cindy Kimberly Visit Must-See Destinations in Barbados

When Cindy Kimberly posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue as a rookie in 2022, she had the opportunity to travel to Barbados for her photo shoot. While in the Caribbean country, the Amsterdam native, who is a model, clothing designer and actress, had the opportunity to explore her local surroundings.

One of Kimberly’s first stops was visiting the childhood home of one of her personal heroes: nine-time Grammy Award-winning artist Rihanna. She was visibly overwhelmed as she stood in front of the colorful house, and even told her tour guide how important the moment was to her.

“I want you to know how meaningful this is to me. This is my sketchbook that I’ve had for three years,” Kimberly stated as she pulled the book out of her purse. “I have a bunch, but this one actually happens to have a sketch of Rihanna that I did because I love her so much.”

After her major fangirl moment, which included snapping a pic in front of the famed “Rihanna Drive” sign on the street, Kimberly headed to Chefette for some local cuisine. The fast food joint is an incredibly popular one in Barbados, and Kimberly gave her stamp of approval to the French fries and vegetable roti wrap. She rounded out the day with a beachside calypso dance class, which she called a “once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

Travis Kelce is still excited about the "Karma" lyric being changed to "the guy on the Chiefs" — and Swifties can't blame him!

During Taylor Swift 's second London Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, June 22, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end , 34, was spotted high-fiving fans when Swift, also 34, belted out the words dedicated to him.

In a TikTok video shared by a fan account , Kelce grooved along to his girlfriend's 2022 song off her Midnights album and got animated as the special lyrics approached.

"Karma takes all my friends to the summit," the Grammy winner sang, as Kelce put his hand up to his ear as though to listen closely.

"Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me," Swift continued, and Kelce went in for a high five with a fan.

The Super Bowl champion then danced with his hands above his head to the chorus, while fans cheered and sang along, all smiles.

Fans were quick to notice the football player's excitement. "He’s so proud, I love it 🥰😭🤣," one person commented on the viral TikTok. "That’s so cute that he went along with fans as they sang it," another added.

This isn't the first time the "Fortnight" singer changed the lyrics to "Karma" to give Kelce a special shout-out.

When she originally swapped the words to be about her boyfriend in November during a concert in Buenos Aires, he appeared overwhelmed, placing his hands on his face.

Kelce flashed a big grin when hearing the lyrics, while Swift's dad attempted to give him a high five and clapped while the crowd cheered.

It's no surprise that Kelce is a big fan of his girlfriend's work. The football star recently told PEOPLE about his favorite song off her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department .

"I might be a little biased to ' So High School ,' " he revealed in May.

Since the song's release, there has been speculation that the nostalgic track is about him.

Fresh off the drawing board, the next phase of Wonder Gardens in Bonita Springs. Dr. Wendy Arsenault, a semi-retired veterinary cardiologist, says she’s excited to help plan improvements and enhancements as chairperson of the board of directors.

Arsenault has served on the nonprofit Wonder Gardens’ board since November 2022 before becoming chairperson early this year to help negotiate a public-private partnership operating agreement with the City of Bonita Springs that was approved in April.

“I wanted to do anything I could to move the partnership forward,” she said. “I’m glad I could be a part of that, and now we have a clear path for the future.”

The agreement helped pave the way for the next phase of improvements and fundraising for Wonder Gardens through its master plan. The plan includes fundraising and building a new Animal Care Center that will help with accreditation with the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. Other plans include an elevated canopy, an event building, amphitheater, discovery zone, enhanced alligator exhibit and more. A long-planned otter exhibit is hoped to be completed later this year.

Arsenault moved to Bonita Springs from upstate New York about 20 years ago. She established Southwest Florida Veterinary Specialists in Bonita Springs, a practice she ran from 2003-2019. Arsenault is also a member of the Rotary Club of Bonita Springs, where she serves on the board.

Other volunteer members of the Wonder Gardens board of directors include Eileen Tasso, secretary; Larry Vars, treasurer; Donna M. Flammang, immediate past president; Diane Ewing, Dr. Damien Lin, VMD; Angela Swanepoel; Dr. Alan White and Marjo White.

The Hub at SWFL Inc. opens

SWFL Inc. recently announced that their new workspace, The Hub is now open.

But it’s more than just a workspace, the developers say, “it is a vibrant community dedicated to supporting, promoting, and protecting businesses across Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties.”

The public is invited to the new office, located at 20041 South Tamiami Trail, Unit #3, Estero. It’s open to the public between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Harry Chapin Food Bank named ‘Business of the Quarter’

Harry Chapin Food Bank, the largest food bank in Southwest Florida, has been named the “Business of the Quarter” by the Greater Naples Chamber and the Collier Board of County Commissioners.

The award recognizes organizations that enhance Collier County through financial, volunteer and active involvement in the community and assist in creating a better quality of life for all citizens. Harry Chapin Food Bank CEO Richard LeBer accepted the award during the June 11 Collier Board of County Commissioners meeting.

“We are deeply honored to be recognized by the Greater Naples Chamber and the Collier Board of County Commissioners,” said LeBer. “As the largest hunger relief organization in Southwest Florida, we are committed to working with community partners to ensure that no one in Collier County goes hungry. This recognition is not only an important opportunity to increase awareness about Harry Chapin Food Bank’s work in Collier County, but also a chance to inform more community members about the work the food bank does to end hunger throughout Southwest Florida.”

Harry Chapin Food Bank has been serving Collier County community members for more than 30 years. In 2023, the food bank distributed nearly 12 million pounds of food in Collier County.

Audubon Florida releases ‘State of the Everglades’

Twice each year, Audubon Florida Everglades, creates a report on “restoration, research, and policy issues” impacting the River of Grass.

“We are celebrating successes,” said Kelly Cox, Esq., director of Everglades policy. “New projects are in line for congressional authorization this year, including the critically important Western Everglades Restoration Project.”

Cox explains that historic levels of funding continue to pour in from the state and federal government to support restoration work. Additionally, a new national wildlife refuge unit will connect four million acres of habitat across the Everglades footprint and ground has been broken on the Everglades Agricultural Area Stormwater Treatment Area.

“The ecosystem is responding. Our iconic American Flamingos blown in from Hurricane Idalia in 2023 continue to remain in Everglades National Park thanks to available forage and quality habitat—a bright pink indicator of the success of our Everglades conservation efforts.”

Nuggets' Reggie Jackson is exercising his 2024-25 player option

Nuggets point guard Reggie Jackson is picking up his player option for 2024-25, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN . 

The decision will ensure that Jackson receives a guaranteed salary of $5.25M next season before reaching unrestricted free agency in 2025.

Jackson originally signed with Denver on the buyout market in February 2023 after he was traded from the Clippers to the Hornets and was waived by Charlotte. He struggled down the stretch during the Nuggets’ championship season, making just 38.3% of his field goal attempts (27.9% of his three-pointers) in 16 regular season games before falling out of the rotation for the playoffs.

However, the Nuggets opted not only to retain him for the 2023-24 season but to give him a raise, signing him to a two-year, $10.25M contract using their taxpayer mid-level exception. The 34-year-old responded with a strong bounce-back season, averaging 10.2 points, 3.8 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 22.2 minutes per game, with a shooting line of .431/.359/.806.

Jackson was one of just two Nuggets players to appear in all 82 games this past season. He also made 23 starts when Jamal Murray was forced to the sidelines for health reasons.

While Jackson’s option decision will guarantee his 2024-25 salary, it doesn’t necessarily guarantee that he’ll spend next season in Denver. It’s possible the Nuggets will end up using his expiring contract as a trade chip, though if he returns, Jackson should see once again see rotation minutes as Murray’s backup

With Jackson’s $5.25M salary on the books, the Nuggets are now up over $172M in guaranteed salaries for 11 players. That figure doesn’t include the cap hold for Denver’s first-round pick ($2.5M) or a new contract for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope , who has a decision of his own to make on a $15.4M player option. 

If KCP exercises that option or signs an even more lucrative contract with the Nuggets, their salary will exceed the second tax apron ($189.5M), limiting the team’s ability to make additional roster moves.
